📙 The Matchmaker 🖋️ Saman Shad ➡️ Synopsis 💗💗💗💗💗 A wonderful heartwarming love story set in my own backyard! I love this to bits from the very easy read, all the recognisable settings, to the guaranteed HEA. There were many things that are discussions-worthy too, especially as this story is totally immersed in culture. I don't read very many romcoms but I found this very enjoyable and actually unputdownable. I enjoyed that characters are of mature age (in their 30s) who have their own issues but had real good friends who helped them AND even seek professional help! They seem like sensible people most of the time but we all have our ups and downs so they also have their silly moments. Yet, these flaws are what made them and their love story even more vibrantly alive. A fabulous debut and I'm looking forward to her next book. There are 2 things I'm wishing for at the end of this book (from the author): 1. A playlist 2. 'The Matchmaker - Gastronomical Tour' - I'm totally IN for this!!!! Q: What are you currently reading? . I'm reading Coffee Cup Confessions by Trish W. I got it in one of the romance bookstagrammer's giveaways. I really like it, it's a cute book. . I still have to write a review for a book that got released yesterday. I love writing and editing post but before I got into blogging I never imagined how much time it took to write even one review! Well, at first it took me even more time because I was also blogging in Slovene but then I realised most of my readers are foreigners so I started writing only in English. Slovenians are still one of my top 3 readers though. 💋 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: 💋 Laughing with my Hair Up by @earthypearlpoet Rating: 4/5 stars Goodreads: 4.12 ⭐ Firstly, I'd like to thank the author for gifting me a copy of her debut poetry collection for an honest review. I really enjoyed this poetry collection and felt like I followed such an emotional journey to the very end of the book. It explores quite a few hard hitting subjects but does it in such a respectful and honest way that really pulls at your heart strings. Even though the poetry was so personal and of course we can't understand the original meaning, so much was conveyed to the reader. It is a collection of poems centred around loss, emotional abuse, and the reflection of life's cruelties. It was well formatted and each poem had a title which I love to see. I really love the cover and thought the title was very unique. This collection is split into chapters that explores different emotions that we experience through our lives. È stato riferito all’autore che ieri sera il duca di Hastings ha ripetuto, non meno di sei volte, di non avere progetti matrimoniali. Ma la mezza dozzina di affermazioni di cui sopra è stata fatta prima del suo incontro con la bella e intelligente Miss Daphne Bridgerton ~ 💍 ~ Io sono il tipo di persona che quando gli chiedono se ha visto quel film o la tale serie risponde quasi sempre “No, ma ho letto il libro”. Vi pare quindi che io ho visto la serie di Bridgerton? No, ma ho recuperato il primo romanzo di questo romance ambientato in epoca Regency. Una serie che segue la numerosa famiglia Bridgerton e come pian piano stiano tutti cercando la propria anima gemella... Il romanzo è molto piacevole e presenta bene sia questa famiglia che questo mondo così distante e vicino. Dopotutto quante cose non sono cambiate nel corso del tempo. La voglia di spettegolare come la misteriosa Lady Whistledown (XO XO), i tormenti di Simon, i suoi problemi e il difficile rapporto con il padre, Daphne il suo desiderio di sposarsi, avere una famiglia e il cercare di coniugare i suoi desideri con ciò che la società vuole (o le impone più o meno indirettamente). E poi la storia d’amore tra i nostri protagonisti che non importa l’epoca: noi sospiriamo sempre e comunque, almeno un pochino... Insomma io non so come sarà la mia impressione della sedia Netflix, ma di certo ho la curiosità di proseguire con questa serie di romanzi visto che il primo mi è molto piaciuto e credo che sia una lettura molto tranquilla e piacevole, perfetta per questo periodo a metà tra la primavera e l’estate.
