. just wanted to be a dancer, not an idol, but his parents didn't think just being a dancer would be enough to secure his livelyhood so he became an idol because that was the closest he could think of

. is rlly passionnate about dancing and will fight anyone who says idols can't dance.

baek jaeyoon is the son of a seamstress who works making costumes for theatre. his mom, baek seulgi, had him considerably young (she was 23) and his father was a one night stand so you know. no dad while he was a kid.

basically raised in the theatre, as soon as he was old enough for it he started taking drama classes that the company paid for because his mom couldn’t afford it but everybody loved her so you know. the least they could do.

his mom remarried when jaeyoon was a kid and his step-dad is great like he genuinely genuinely is excellent towards seulki and jaeyoon but... jaeyoon didn’t like him at all at first. while he grew out of that dislike, when he was a teenager him and his step-father would get into a lot of arguments, all the time.

the thing is that they started over very small things that jaeyoon made too big of a deal about and culminated in massive fights that had him leaving the house for a few days. whenever he pulled that he was forbidden from going to drama, dance and vocal classes and had to stay home looking after his younger brother.

mom wrote it off as teenage angst but honestly it was pretty critical and the only reason she didn’t realise how much was bc of being busy with work and her younger son.

jaeyoon was about to go to university for acting when his step-father lost his job and entered a pretty bad bout of depression due to not being able to find anything else and being unable to provide for his family. so jaeyoon, with no skills or degree, decided to enlist. the pay for soldiers is like ridiculous but it was more than nothing and he sent most of it to his mom to try to help at home.

the army was.... terrible. worst experience of his fucking life. he was punished often for his issues with authority and all that anger he used to externalise turned inward even more. his self hatred and deprecation started going up from there, and jaeyoon developed a tendency for self harm from there.

when his enlistment was over, his step-father had started working as a stagehand at the theatre, so as much as life wasn’t back to what it was, it was a bit better than the worst of it. which was why seulki pushed jaeyoon into auditioning for gold star, but for the acting division.

jaeyoon did, but when they asked to evaluate all his skills, he got offered a contract as an idol trainee and even tho being an idol wasn’t in his plans, he said fuck it and went.

terrible decision. second worst experience of his life, added even more to his self-hatred, had to shove even more anger down his throat, developed body image issues, and all that jazz.

pretty bummed when hot topick happened and he wasn’t allowed an opportunity bc he was a gold star trainee, started expecting to be asked to leave the company and was pretty much already looking for auditions when he was told he was going to debut.

doesn’t know how to feel about quicksilver yet but he’s excited about finally going on stage, while trying not to think about the inevitable bad mental state he’s going to end up in. 

personality wise he’s actually usually a pretty excitable guy? he has undiagnosed (so far) borderline personality disorder, which is what causes the extreme mood swings, the impulsivity, and further feeds into his depression, anxiety and all that. but he tries very hard because he wants people to like him, and he compensates the parts of his personality he thinks are too hard to deal with by trying to be a funny guy, cracking jokes, bringing up the mood, all of that.

okay so hwa was born in buenos aires, argentina

when she was seven, her parents passed away during a robbery leaving both her and her three year old sister, chunhui, to be taken care of by their grandparents

but both their grandmothers decided it’d be a better idea for the girls to move to south korea

so off they went to live with their mom’s parents in busan, south korea

from day one hwa was very very difficult. she was always the fussy one between the sisters, always the one with a temper, and it got worse after their parents passed and she butt heads with her grandmother aaaaaaaaaaaall the time

it only improved slightly when hwa started taking dance classes in her grandmother’s dance studio

she did it all, ballet jazz contemporary etc etc etc

participated in competitions all over the country all of that

but when she was fifteen her grandmother closed the studio in busan to open one in seoul and so her and her sister had to move there with her grandparents and it was another round of chunhwa being difficult bc she did Not want to be in seoul 

shortly after they moved, chunhwa and chunhui got in a car accident going to school and chunhwa broke her leg which made it impossible for her to dance for a few months

and to fill in the time she started taking vocal classes in the same place she took piano classes

found out she loved it so when she got into sopa, she went for the music track instead of the dance one (she argued that she also danced at the studio enough to compensate)

at her graduation, she sang a solo by herself and that’s when she was scouted for dimensions

didn’t rly want to go at first but her sister convinced her to try it out so she did and joined the company 

trained for a year and then was supposed to debut but then it got scratched and she got mad bc she didn’t want to be in a group in the first place and then when she Accepted it the company changed their minds? Unacceptable 

but stuck around for a bit longer and then debuted with lucid

had high hopes for herself esp when her members started getting solo opportunities but it’s been three years and nada so she’s like oh well if you don’t want to put effort into me i don’t want to put effort into the group

hello everyone! shay here. i’d like to apologize for posting this introduction so late. my internet connection’s been down for the past few days, but it’s finally back and so here i am! i’m a newbie here at famed so please bear with me while i get the hang of things around these parts. i hope that you all like akira and if you’d like to plot with her, let me know by liking this post.

born and raised in tokyo, japan. she has a sibling (which is an open connection for me if anyone is interested in bringing in a muse of japanese descent!)

her mother and father raised her along with her sibling to be very independent people who work hard for everything that they have. they were rarely given things apart from the essentials by their parents. if they ever wanted to have anything that wasn’t a necessity, they had to wait until their birthday or work to pay for it. working to pay for it meant extra chores and such.

the women on akira’s mother’s side of the family are plagued with a chronic illness known as endometriosis, which makes their menstrual cycles extremely difficult as well as causes problems for any future pregnancies they might have.

akira, much like her mother, wants to have kids in the future and plans on doing that while maintaining a career. she knows it will be difficult and she saw her mother struggle with handing both due to her illness, but it’s something she won’t change her mind about.

she discovered that she too suffers from endometriosis sometime after her first cycle. it was something they were going to be monitoring her for, so it was quite easy for them to catch early on.

her determination and stubbornness is what pushes her through the physical pain she goes through. music is something that she fell in love with at a young age. she loves to sing and dance. the aoki family prided themselves on academics and learning, but akira took an alternate route along with her sibling. they both went in the creative arts direction of things, and both excelled at it.

when she was fifteen, her parents allowed her to start auditioning for companies and bc was the one that picked her up first. it the culture shock was quite jarring for akira, but after her first year of training, she quickly acclimated to it.

after training for three years under bc entertainment, the company began putting together their next girl group, a group that she thought she was a shoe in for. obviously she wasn’t, and it was a huge hit to her self esteem and pride when she wasn’t one of the nine girls selected. she didn’t think badly of them - she did resent them a little bit though. she wouldn’t undermine their talent, but she felt as though she was just as talented as their lead vocalists and dancers, so she couldn’t make herself understand why she was passed up.

as the years went by, her bitterness never waned, except it was geared towards bc itself instead of the wish girls. she didn’t understand why they didn’t debut her, even as a soloist, because she was getting old. the clock on her youth was ticking away and she was worried that she would never debut.

then, as if the universe was smiling down on her, bc told her that not only would she be debuting, but she would be having a solo song as well, which only revitalized her passion when it came to music.

being in a group wasn’t exactly ideal for her, but she’d take debuting anyway she could get it, and she quickly grew to love the six other girls she would be calling group members.

while akira is a good friend to those she’s close to, it’s not easy to gain her friendship and all too easy to get on her bad side. she’s the type of person who firmly believes in the phrase “if someone shows you who they are, believe them”. if someone fucks up or shows a side of themselves that she doesn’t like, she’ll wipe her hands of that person and her relationship with them.

can come across as temperamental and abrasive, but that’s only when she feels backed into a corner. when she feels like she’s being attacked, she goes into defensive mode.

has a jealousy streak. she tries not to let it get the best of her, but sometimes she can’t help but let that little green eyed monster come out. in the future, in quite a bit of chroma crystal’s and chroma’s full group songs when her lines fall short compared to the other members, is when her jealousy becomes a little bit more apparent.

incredibly stubborn.

on the flip side, she has a natural charm that makes for a good idol. her smile is contagious and her laugh is infectious, which makes for great variety show appearances. her image in the public eye versus her image off camera are vastly different. akira on camera is all smiles and sweet laughter, while akira off camera is sly grins and crude jokes.

without further ado — here's saito mae in a nutshell:

was street-casted and moved to korea when she was 12, so she's fluent in korean by now, but the catch is that she learned with documentaries, historical dramas and textbooks more than with actual people, so if she says something outdated or uses awkward grammar, that's why. on camera, she sometimes makes language mistakes on purpose because she was told that that's cute. (isn't about to rebel against dimensions' ideas for her — yet)

trained under bc for the first years after she came to korea (2008 – 2016) with zero skills, except for a nice voice she didn't know how to use, but she worked hard and took 12949393 lessons, so she’s a competent vocalist and dancer now. after wish's debut, she transferred to dimensions and finally made it in a group! she's really happy to have debuted and to be promoting, still very starry-eyed. disillusionment? don't know her

doesn't like being put in a box, so lucid's dual concepts are a dream come true! she likes both and is a little sad the nightmare concept isn't as well-received, but she'll take what she's given.

her favourite animals are turtles because she relates to them somewhat — resilient, believes in slow but steady progress, wise

her (first) name literally means to depend on reality, so you know what to expect. very straight-forward, no-nonsense. count on her to be honest with you, whether the truth hurts or not.

her sense of humour can be summed up as sarcasm and memes, but don't think for a second that it's hard to amuse her. laughs ! at ! everything ! when you trip, she's a laugh first, help second person

tw: dieting, plastic surgery, depression

okay so same backstory as before; youngest of four kids, very spoiled from birth, ppl never told her no. she did a bunch of different classes/activities growing up, never liked one thing specifically but her parents still indulged her

decided she wanted to be an idol bc she became obsessed with the Lifestyle of idols. nothing about the music or the performance or anything rly she just wanted the fame and the success and the fans basically 

so she auditioned for dimensions with the intention of debuting there, back in 2013 

she never really... tried to do anything when she was in dimensions bc she didn’t think she had to? she did improve on her dancing skills but she didn’t push as hard to improve her vocals esp bc the lawsuit went down and the company was in shambles and whatnot 

7rophy was announced and she wasn’t in the original line up. she told on one of the girls who was, telling the person responsible for the trainees that the girl was in a relationship, and the girl was kicked out of the company but bada still didn’t make it to the group (for reasons like... she didn’t fit the image, she didn’t fit the concept etc etc etc

bada basically felt like she wasn’t going to go anywhere staying in dimensions. so she took the shot of auditioning to bc and got in bc of her decent dancing skills but mostly bc of her looks (she was always pretty but she got a nose job, did some dieting and started taking constant trips to the dermatologist so she started filling exactly the standard of visuals that bc has)

bc was... a whole different story 

the competition there was something else entirely and it basically kicked her butt. the thing is that inyeong thrives on competition. she wants to win, and she knows that to win she needs to be the best. she compares herself to others and that doesn’t make her feel lesser. instead she sets the goal for herself that she’s going to be better than them. 

so she became one of the most diligent trainees, applying herself the hardest, improving the most to the point where she only got good comments during all the evaluations 

she even got the chance to participate in decipher’s the winter’s tale mv in 2018

but her debut never came

and then bc debuted their soloist in 2019 and honestly bada hates her soooo much. she thinks she’s too untalented to have debuted, she has nothing special going for her and she doesn’t understand how she was given a debut before bada was. 

honestly the start of 2020 was terrible for her (lmao same girl). at age 22 she was pretty much convinced she wasn’t going to debut ever and that she was just going to be asked to leave the company, esp with the trainees getting younger and younger, even with her being as good as she was. inyeong got into a seriously depressive episode because she felt like things didn’t have purpose anymore and the one thing she had going for her didn’t offer her any prospect. she was terrified of the possibility of having to find something else to do of her life and at the same time determined to quit bc

her brother minseok kinda pushed her to keep trying, to keep insisting, to keep going. and it was worth it bc by mid 2020 bc let her know she would be debuting in 2021 

she thinks the concept of chroma is pretty convoluted and she doesn’t know how bc expects the public to fully get on board with it. but honestly she’s too happy about debuting. 

in regards to the group and being a leader, inyeong is... i’m not gonna say aoa’s jimin bc yikes but she’s definitely no nurturing and caring leader. she’s very strict with the girls and watches them with hawk eyes. she’s not going to let anyone ruin her debut for her, not them or even herself, so she’s keeping them on a tight leash. when the full group debuts she’s going to act more as a quiet leader, who just keeps an eye on the girls most of the time and lets them do their thing but behind the scenes yeah she’s... not the nicest lmao she’s always going to have a softer spot for chroma crystal though.

personality wise she’s lost a lot of the immaturity that drove her decisions. she’s def still v self-absorbed and cutthroat, def isn’t the nicest person to speak to, but she’s also more conscious of how what other people think about her might affect her career so she’s more careful in her interactions... for now. she doesn’t have a skip on her step as she used to, and like i mentioned, she’s way more jaded and serious about things, but her interactions with people are mostly neutral.

i think this is it!! for future reference the groups she dislikes are origin, wish and femme fatale so anyone from those is like........ almost guaranteed she dislikes them lmao we can work with that though!

KIM TAESUNG is the LEADER AND MAIN RAPPER of ORIGIN under GOLD STAR MEDIA. He was born on JANUARY 1, 1992. He looks a little like KIM JIWON (BOBBY) OF IKON.

yo yo, i’m lee and i’ve brought this little softie taesung here to you all. i don’t have any plots written because i suck at writing out plots and i like to think that i’m much better at brainstorming than preplanning. do us both a favor and don’t read his bio either, i hate how i wrote it but i don’t know how else to write it?? trust me, i’m much better at writing threads and shit, i promise!! anyway, onto taesung. 

stuck out like a sore thumb in his very large family. he’s the fourth little one of eight kids, and he looks like his grandfather (father’s father), who wasn’t quite conventionally attractive and didn’t fit korea’s beauty standards. 

he was constantly reminded as a child that he looked different from his siblings and from his parents, all of whom would more or less be considered beautiful by their society’s standards. it got to the point where even his siblings would tease him sometimes and his father would join in here and there. 

his mother was the only one who would constantly remind him that he’s handsome and that he’s her baby no matter what he looks like and they’re still a family. (yeah, he’s a mama’s boy, what about it) 

he first started getting into the hip-hop and rap scene when he was around the age of eleven. he discovered the genre and instantly fell in love with it. he would listen to both korean and western rappers and it didn’t take long for him to get into writing his own lyrics and stuff by the time he became a teenager. 

his parents were actually very supportive of his love of music. it was the first time they saw him so passionate about something and they didn’t want him to lose that passion. 

he became a trainee under gold star when he was eighteen in 2010. he was accepted because of his rap skills, so his time as a trainee was mostly spent trying to better his singing and dancing, both of which are pretty weak. more so his singing though. he can’t carry a tune, which is why he usually just sticks to rapping. his dancing has improved leagues though. 

his time on who’s next?: origin story fucked with his self esteem a bit. netizens would praise him for his talent, but bash him for his looks in the same breath and it was just a really confusing time for him. he became extremely self conscious of his appearance and started to think that he would eventually end up holding his team back all because of how he looked. 

fortunately for him, that wasn’t the case and they ended up winning the show and debuting just a few months later. when origin was met with harsh criticism for their music in their rookie years, he was hurt. he contributed a lot to origin’s music from the very beginning and to have his work bashed like that upset him a bit. though it made him work harder to become a better songwriter and eventually producer. 

it still hasn’t fully settled in yet that origin is so famous and known on such a global scale. he still thinks of himself as kim taesung, the little kid who wanted to be a rapper. when in all actuality, he’s a global star at the age of 29 (30) lol. it’s a lot for him to take in and he gets overwhelmed sometimes. 

desperately trying to get gold star to agree to giving him a solo debut, and pissed off that they’re forcing them into touring for basically the entire year, before making them release another english and japanese albums before another korean comeback. so he’s just hoping that he’ll be able to release a solo before 2094 :) 

he’s a sweetheart ngl he loves his members and takes care of them like he does his siblings. he’s a giver and puts people ahead of himself, which is what makes him such a good leader. on the flip side, as a leader, he’s tough and protective of his members from a performance and business standpoint as well. he defends them when he feels like they’re being mistreated, and makes sure that they don’t push themselves too hard during performances. 

is known for being one of the more friendlier idols in the industry, having friends in a bunch of other groups and even being friends with actors and underground artists. 

still self conscious about his physical appearance, but he’s trying to work on his self esteem. give this bb some love and tell him how pretty he is.

background.

born and raised in seoul, south korea. her father is a director and producer while her mother is an actress, but she doesn’t really use them in order to get ahead in life. she wants to be an actress, but she wants to do it through hard work, not due to her parents’ names.

she was apart of a commercial when she was five years old, and what little she remembers from the experience is that she loved being on camera, which is what sparked her love of acting. unfortunately her acting career to grow from there. 

at the age of fourteen, she moved to the states with one of her aunts in order to attend school. it was the same school her parents went to when they were younger, and it was the same school her younger siblings would be enrolled in when they entered high school. namjoo stayed there for four years, graduating in the top five percent of her class, before moving back to seoul so she could pick up where her five year old self left off.

through her parents she made connections with other people in the industry, which was how she landed an audition at gold star media. she originally wanted to be an actress, but when she was told that being an idol could help pave her way towards being an actress, she decided to go with it. her parents weren’t crazy about the idea because they look down on idols and think that the career path holds no longevity. namjoo agrees in a sense, but she went through with it anyway

her selling points to gold star media were her visuals, her acting ability, and the fact that she could just barely carry a tune in a rusty bucket. she became a trainee at the age of 19 and worked her ass off to build up her skills. she knew, and still knows, that she’s not the best at any of her positions, but she’d be damned if people tell her she didn’t work hard. even though she’s the main rapper of her group, she doesn’t consider herself a rapper, just someone who raps (shoutout to my man’s jackson for the quote lol) 

she liked being an idol at first, it was fun performing and all that jazz, but she didn’t and still doesn’t love it as much as her members who want to be idols or her idol peers. she tries not to make it obvious, but if you pay close attention you can tell that she’s not as passionate as others. 

when they hit it big with red flavor, namjoo took that as her go ahead to start advocating for an acting debut for herself. gold star granted her wish by allowing her to take on supporting roles over the last few years. however, that really isn’t enough for her anymore. with fuse’s comebacks becoming less and less frequent, she wants to start building her own brand. however, gold star isn’t exactly being supportive in her endeavors.

she’s growing more and more impatient, and she can’t help but feel resentful towards gold star about the complete disregard of her wants.

namjoo can appear as rather cold and distant. her parents raised her to be a class act at all times; proper posture, formal speaking, always polite. she’s very polite, but it can come across as fake because of how she carries herself. it’s not that she thinks that she’s better than everyone else, it’s just that she knows her worth and knows that she deserves the best. if someone isn’t offering her the best, then they’re wasting her time.

in all actuality, namjoo isn’t cold, just distant. she doesn’t consider herself to be a people person and would much rather be in the solitude of her own home than anything. however when she’s in the company of other people, she tries to have fun and not bring the mood down. she’s great when it comes to pretending to have fun, mostly due to the fact that she’s a good actress.

growing up, namjoo’s parents engraved in her mind the importance of her beauty and good looks. to the point where she fears losing her beauty. one of her biggest fears is getting old, something her close friends tell her is ridiculous because she already looks younger than she is, but it’s always something that lingers in the back of her mind. whenever she looks in the mirror, she can hear the whisper of her mother’s voice, telling her that she should put on a little bit extra makeup, or that she should check for any unwanted wrinkles or fine lines.
