it tells me Everything i need to know about edwin that in the film reel from davids first birthday(i think its the first) when he takes the foxy puppet fiona made and loudly does the 'arghh' thing and it causes david to cry a little and fiona tells him 'youre scaring him' edwin doubles down. he dismisses fiona and actually starts the pirate growl thing louder which only causes david to cry louder.

FNAF: Secret of the Mimic - David’s Sus Birthday Party Theory

G’day, everyone, after watching a full playthrough of FNAF: Secret of the Mimic on Youtube (I couldn’t play the game myself), I went back and watched all the audio logs and home videos of David’s birthdays, plus I read all of the text logs.  I then used all this info to make a little timeline of events, which I might post soon.  But in the process, I noticed something very suspicious about one of the videos for David’s birthdays, which I’m going to share today in this post.

When David turns 1, we get the video of the pirate plush that Fiona made (I thought it was Foxy, but others say it’s Roxy).  We know this is David’s first birthday through process of elimination and because we can hear a baby crying when Edwin scares him with the plush.

For David’s second birthday, this is the one where Fiona urges Edwin to join the party, but he has an idea for an invention.  (This is when we hear Fiona say, “That’s great, honey, but you’re missing the party.”  This is the exact thing Edwin hears after Fiona dies, when he claims he heard her voice over a certain radio frequency.)  Edwin states that David is two, and he won’t remember anyway.

David’s third birthday is easy, as there are three candles on the cake.  This is shortly after Fiona dies because Edwin has to tell David that his mother is gone.  It is important to note that all three of these birthdays clearly take place in the house.

David’s fourth birthday must be the one where Edwin built David the playground outside the factory, and we even hear M1’s voice (robo-Fiona) say, “Happy birthday, sweetie”.  So clearly Edwin built M1, and it began acting like Fiona, between David’s third and fourth birthdays.  I can only assume this must be his fourth birthday through process of elimination.  I’d also like to point out that we see David’s ball at the end, which was responsible for his death (at the age of 4) in the books because it rolled out onto the road.  I know the game doesn’t follow the book’s continuity, but it’s still worth noting.

The fifth birthday is when things get really weird.  This is the one that takes place in the conference room, and we see M1 holding David’s birthday cake.  There is no sign of David’s age anywhere, as far as I remember, just the words, “Happy birthday, David!” on the cake and written on the board, but no actual number or candles.  So what’s wrong here?  Well, let’s review some text logs, which I summarized below.

Admin - Dec 1st - 12:00 PM: Edwin is using the conference room for a surprise birthday party for David

Admin - Dec 1st - 8:00 AM: Staff are required to attend David’s birthday party on Saturday

Admin - Dec 6th - 4:00 PM: Milton says Murray’s party has been cancelled due to recent tragic events.  Don’t enter the conference room until further notice.  David must have died between December 1 and 6.

So something is very wrong here.  There was no birthday party held in the conference room.  It was cancelled before it ever took place.  And yet we see video footage of Edwin filming the room, all set up for the birthday, and M1 with the birthday cake.  Edwin even tells everyone to hide, but there’s no one else in the room.  Plus, I’d have to imagine the average person would be rather uncomfortable attending a birthday party, while your boss speaks to an endoskeleton as if it’s his dead wife.

Again, you could argue they started the party, and then they found out David had died right after this video was filmed.  Edwin tells M1 to go get David, who’s been left at the playground.  But again, it’s super strange how there is no one actually there when Edwin says, “Okay, everyone hide,” and once again, the party was cancelled before it ever took place.

So what’s going on here, and what’s the timeframe for when this took place?  Well, we see that M1 is still here, so she hasn’t been banished to the basement computer yet.  But I also don’t believe that’s Edwin speaking in the video.  We do, however, know that M2 can mimic his voice perfectly from the audio log where there was an explosion in Edwin’s office.  (Meanwhile, M1’s Fiona impression is a bit robotic and is easily distinguishable from the living Fiona.)

My Theory: So one possible explanation for what’s happening in this video is: while Edwin was working, M1 and M2 decided to reenact David’s cancelled fifth birthday party.  People were told not to enter the room after David’s death, so maybe the room was still ready for the party, and M1 just came equipped with her lovely sheet cake.

Why were they doing this, you might ask?  I dunno…M1 clearly really wanted David back.  She wanted a family.  Maybe since Edwin was reluctant to make a new David (and only made multiple copies of her program at her urging), she thought she could help M2 properly mimic David by having a birthday party as if David was still alive?

TLDR: I’m just curious what everyone’s thoughts are on the birthday party in the conference room because there’s definitely something off about it.  That party was cancelled before it ever took place, and Edwin tells everyone to hide, even though no one else is in the room.  My theory is that this is really M1 and M2 reenacting David’s cancelled birthday party, while M2 mimics Edwin.  Anyone else have any idea what’s going on?

6-7- I mainly did these drawings of Mike and William to try and work on like how much Michael looks like his dad without looking exactly like him. But it’s enough that I find it nauseating and that in the dark especially the animatronics would think it was him.

10- Another fnaf oc I actually haven’t posted on here before: Andre. He’s kinda just a FazEnt employee not as lore heavy as Skylen is but I enjoy him. Admittedly making disgruntled Fazent employees is one of my favorite genres of fnaf ocs to make lol.

Kinda fucked up that since there’s two Mimics now, that M2 just never knew any kindness.

They never met and befriended David like F10N4, they were made to replace him and only ever knew Edwin’s abuse for doing exactly what he made them to do. That’s all they ever knew.
