i was seeing it on my dash, too -- this was back before the discourse got so hot and shallura got #cancelled by antis -- and when i started seeing shiro and allura content on my dash i was like ‘a black?? princess???? who is actually getting to be in one of the fandoms popular ships and not ignored and sidelined so ill actually see content of her?????’ but ofc then the age debate started and it was a good excuse for ppl to go back to ignoring her lol...........

like ppl rly do need to talk more about shows baiting poc audiences, specifically..... i still cant believe that they killed allura, but learning that they planned to kill off ALL of the paladins and then ONLY got the greenlight to kill off hunk makes me even sicker, esp since they tacked on that hes half-black in the final hour, followed by putting his parents into slavery and then almost killing him off, so thats uhh rly shitty lmao the only two black paladins huh.....
