OMG… I can’t believe that I finally submitted my application for graduation! 🤗 When I wrote my first master’s thesis I was pregnant and when I graduated with my Masters in Sustainable Development I had my 3 week old newborn in my hand. At the time, it was my biggest accomplishment. I must say though that going to grad school in your 20s is very different than going in your 40s. My brain is definitely not as fast. 😂 Plus, this time around I attend part-time, online, and with a teenager who (contrary to what one might think) commands a lot more attention than a newborn. 🤣 During this program, I lost a parent, the pandemic happened, and I suffered a mental health crisis. Not to mention, I had a serious financial hurdle to climb after all my overseas contracts disappeared (due to said pandemic). However I’m overjoyed to say, I can see the finish line and soon I’ll be adding Masters of Public Health to my list of credentials. This has definitely been one of the hardest things I’ve done so far.
