Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream.

I dreamed I was walking along the beach

with the Lord..

Across the sky flashed scenes from my life..

For each scene, I noticed two sets of

footprints in the sand,

one belonging to me, and the other to the Lord..

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life

there was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest

and saddest times in my life.

This really bothered me

and I questioned the Lord about it:

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life

there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why

when I need you most you would leave me."

The Lord replied:

"My precious child, I love you and would

never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints, it was then

that I carried you."

✞♡ “When you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.” My “Footprints in the Sand” Poem plaque is finally here! When I was 9 years old, I remember seeing this at my grandmother’s funeral at the Indoor cemetery. Still today it is at her cemetery. It’s my favorite poem.

I’m happy to say, the “Footprints” plaque is now hanging in our living room. 😁😭Makes me happy & to remind myself to never give up especially going through hard times.

1 of my aunt’s passed away last year in June & I still miss her. She was like my grandma. I’ve had several dreams about her these past few months. Then a month after my aunt’s passing, 1 of my cats passed away. I miss them both. Been an emotional couple months.

This “Footprints” plaque keeps me going & makes me happy-helps me to move on & grow- also reminds me of my grandma & my other family members/family friends who have passed through the years whether at the same Indoor Cemetery as my grandmother or not at the same cemetery.

What ever God you believe in, we come from the same one. God bless to all. Time will heal.❤️Proud nurse, coach. Nevada born & raised.
