also hilarious that we have 2 gen 3 mexican pinkies(minor context: mexico's toy releases were WHACK with colors for mlp and pinkie pie's were white mane or at least MUCH lighter pinks than the other countries' releases of the toys) who are both girlfriends to eachother and our anger holder gen 3 Minty who keeps going on about "in my day EVERYONE was lesbian coded because there were no stallions!!!" in the old person "back in my day" way grandparents do without even being one.

It's not that she's worried about the shop. The Shop is fine. So is The Arcade. Baliol Street's high ground, and if this freak storm moves like they say it's going to, it'd have to be biblical to sink the street with flooding.

It's not even that she's worried, period. Or maybe it is.

Maybe she doesn't know anything, maybe. Maybe this storm is fucking up her groove. Maybe she needs to stop trying to control the fucking weather.

Cliffsides isn't exactly unsafe, but she also doesn't want to be there. Maybe it's stupid, leaving. Maybe it's exceptionally stupid, driving into the city. But god, she doesn't want to be alone in a hotel room and as much as she's come to adore Theo and her family, she doesn't want to be with a bunch of random hotel patrons either.

Maybe Maybe Maybe.

Autumn spends most of the day helping where she can to prep the Cliffsides for a storm, and by the end, she can't stop thinking about stupid what-ifs.

So she slips out, keys the ignition, and drives into the city, and into not just a storm, but a Hurricane. The first she's ever been through.

It's bad. There's still a handful of people as crazy as she is wandering or driving, who are as crazy as she is. Radio on instead of music, she keeps getting hit with advice, either from the city mayor, or the state governor, about how the streets aren't safe, how this or that. She eyes her phone, for word back from Summer.

And then, god damnit, she looks up and sees a shape dart in front of her, tiny, crawling through an intersection.

So she swerves, but with all the water, the car spins in the street, and it's everything she can do to fight the wheel. Before it hits a hard stop and she feels the seatbelt bite into her. It's enough to send her almost panicked into fit of hyperventilation.

When it stops, though, her hands are shaking, her breath is ragged, the storm outside batters the Car, and then she realizes the car's rocking, picked up by water pooling at the dip she's steered the car into for an emergency stop. Fuck.

She emerges into a tempest, ankle deep in water. Somebody calls her inside, worried that she might be hurt, but Autumn just keeps wading back to the intersection. She's not looking for any port in a storm.

The shapes there, too, cowering from wind and rain inside the stoop of a darkened shop. It's as drenched as she is, all bright eyes and cowering. You just almost killed me, asshole, she thinks at it, vindictive, before turning back to scan the street ahead. She's about to just walk there, too, but she can hear it mewling under the stone bench, over the rain.

She turns back to it, wind and rain stinging as the dark day begins its transition to a deeper, darker night. She looks to the Panamera, water creeping up to take it. The water here already threatens the curb a little. "Hm." She growls.

The cat's squirming and her shoes are squeaking as she moves through the store. It's been a long walk, and she's soaked to the bone, her and the dumb squirming thing in her arms the sole source of warmth through the entire waterlogged track across blocks of ill-weathered city. She's glad her key still works, at least.

Up the steps, then, and to the door. A shivering hand knocks on the door. Knocks on it again, impatient. When it opens, she's staring Aria down after weeks and weeks of terse texts, awkward run-ins, and unpleasant uncertainties. AJ's Khaos club had been confusing, both as a start and and end and an huge question mark on everything. There's a storm outside, yeah, but man, the things her chest is doing right now...

She doesn't know what to say, so she just stands there, dripping like a mop, a waterlogged cat in her arms. She knows she has to say... something.

My current set of Guardians of Harmony figures, sans Discord, who didn't really fit in frame.

Chrysalis was the only I bought when they were still in store, because I thought she looked neat, the rest I had to find secondhand.

Surprisingly despite being the SDCC exclusive, Fluttershy is not the rarest one here. This version of Applejack is actually the rarest, and I was incredibly lucky to get her NIB for only $15. I've seen her go as high as $100. The stars aligned and I was fated to get her I guess, but I'm really glad I was able to. She's so cute in her lil' bandana.

One weird thing I noticed as I was collecting them, is some of them has a weird powder on them? Fluttershy, Shining, and Tempest all had enough that it was leaving visible streaks of white on my pants when I wiped my hands on them. it washed off just fine, but also ???

Will I get anymore of them? I wouldn't mind having the Cutie Mark Crusaders set. Unfortunately they're more rare than AJ is, so who knows when I'll see them for sale. There's an Applebloom on Ebay rn, but it's more than I want to pay for just one out of three. So we'll see.

if im being honest i just mash ponies together in my head until something makes me go OH CUTE!!! i like to do ships that are less popular (with the exception of twiluna cause i thiiink that’s relatively popular?) cause i think it’s fun!

of course for twiluna i am the #1 twiluna truther i have an au in my head where twilight and luna become friends through twilight’s dreams and twilight is the one to free her from the moon not realizing that shes become nightmare moon (the luna in her dreams isnt aware of that either!) and with their friendship twilight is able to help her return to her normal self. after that luna becomes a part of the main group and lives with twilight in the library and they fall in looooove

for pinkie and sunburst, i think theyre two super sweet ponies who are very enthusiastic and passionate about their respective interests, and would totally adore that about each other. pinkie could also help sunburst come out of his shell and throw him nerdy dnd parties or something lol because she loves her dorky husband. the appeal of this ship is similar to twipie i think

applejack and tempest feels like a very sweet and gentle relationship to me. i think they’d both value each other very much as a source of stability and comfort. i think applejack could really help tempest heal and love herself, and i think tempest’s headstrong nature would gel really well with applejack. i also think tempest would love living at sweet apple acres cause it’s away from most other ponies lol so she only has to socialize when she wants to

fluttershy and trixie is definitely Out There but i truly believe they are something special. my backstory for them is that fluttershy wanted to go see some rare creature in the same area that trixie was traveling to for a magic show so they decided to travel together, and fluttershy’s unrelenting kindness caused trixie to be a more genuine and open version of herself with fluttershy. they have something weird going on for a while but eventually start dating for reals. fluttershy admires trixie’s confidence and also finds her really funny, and trixie of course adores fluttershy’s sweetness and outlook on life. they probably clash sometimes but ultimately love each other very much. i imagine trixie still travels a lot but always returns to fluttershy because that’s her home

rainbow dash and harshwhinny is just silly and cute i think. rainbow probably had a huge stupid crush on harshwhinny from the moment they met and harshwhinny ended up really liking her too. rainbow likes older women or something idk

rarity and maud i love because of their friends forever comic!!! it really showcased how sweet they could be together. i can’t really explain it better than just Read It It’s Cute

Have you seen the 2017 My Little Pony Movie? If so, do you everyone was acting OOC in the movie? I've been seeing so many people say this. Like Rainbow Dash doing a Sonic Rainboom while in the midst of showing off to those pirates didn't really seem out of character for her, but that's my opinion.

Honestly i dont think its a matter of being out of character, btu rather character reduction. Every girl of the mane 6 winds up being reduced to the most core components of their character, be it catchphrases or just a basic way of acting. rainbow is cocky, pinkie is loud, rarity is vain, AJ is pragmatic and somehow, Fluttershy basically only ever whimpers in the movie. the camera turns to her and shes whimpering, lmao. That's all in character, completely. its just not creative or interesting or expressive. Pinkie being used as a distraction because she's loud and loves parties is almost a meta relationship with this, Twilight knows.

I think what also doesnt help the movie is how pointless of a roadtrip journey the movie is? Like. its a movie about going from point A to point B mindlessly, but there's no real defined purpose. The maggufin they find is just an orb that makes you into a water pony, why did twilight thing that was a tool that could be used against the storm king? Who fuckin knows. the hippogriffs dont help, its all won n the end due to teamwork. its funny that they in the end assault the castle by just... going there with the friends they made along the way.

BUT LIKE BITCH YOU ALREADY HAD FRIENDS. IN PONYVILLE AND BEYOND EVEN.LIKE DOZENS OF FRIENDS THAT WOULD GLADLY HELP Where's starlight and trixie during the fall of equestria?! Having gay sex?! smh

I also am not fond of how many bipedal characters are added in here, the ponies stand out so much in a world made for creatures with hands, and even the comics dont add this many. it feels weird bc they had so many species to pick from, from changelings, yaks, griffons, etc etc, and they just made a bunch of furry people that stand and slapped them in the movie. the hoppogriffs were a nice addition even if they dont do nothin. Maybe they realised a quadrupedal world with hands is just impractical lmao

Anyways I have a lot to critique about the movie but I feel like it just all bogs down to it being like... Kind of empty to me. Devoid of an usual flair or artistic vision some episodes and specials seem to have. Characters are there to do what they usually do, the princesses are kicked out of the way so twilight and her friend scan save the day, its pretty formulaic. Maybe I'm spoiled by equestria girls and how each movie has a diffrent and awesome vibe and every character has smth to do in it lmao.

Anyways tempest is cool but she stands out like a sore thumb and her not being in FIM or EQG is just sad. Also the comics do her justice and give her a fucking girlfriend, one of her childhood friends, its really damn sweet.

strong gurlfriends , my lovely lovely strong women. i adore them very much…

applejack is the co-owner of sweet apple acres, and continues to run the family business. selling cider and other products on the side as subsidiary income. applejack has always known without a doubt what she wanted to do for a very long time. tempest on the other hand, found herself aimless after her displacement from military life.

while there really wasn’t any major issue with her returning, tempest was tired of that space. and was already branded very publicly as a deserter of some kind. so her peers already had a disdain for her from the start. then steps in applejack, business lead, and open arm welcomer of all walks of life to bring in her new friend from the path of fighting. tempest then began to spend her days at the farm, relaxing and easing her way into ordinary life. while at the same time, getting to still do physical work like she’s always enjoyed.

aj and tempest grew pretty close after some years, and after some talk (and a few beers), the two began their courtship. and have been dating ever since.

About the AU, who is with who

Obviously, Cadance and Shining are still the lovebirds of all time

Obviously as his adoptive parents, Varian sees them daily unless he’s off visiting Twilight.

He knows about their wedding because it’s one of those stories I’m sure he and Flurry got told all the time growing up. He does recognize that his folks are ridiculously in love but he thinks it’s sweet (in moderation he is still a teenager who rolls his eyes and leaves the room if they get too mushy)

Applejack and Rainbow Dash

Has spent a hilarious amount of time with AJ and Dash, comparatively to some of his aunts other friends. This is because AJ is almost always home so if Twilight needs to head off to do something while he’s visiting, he tends to get hoisted on the Apples until Twilight can get back.

Generally is more on Dash’s side of the little spats they still have, but tries to stay out of it. Didn’t realize the two were married until Apple Bloom mentioned it. Sort of likes the casual, slightly competitive relationship they have, at least if he had to choose how he’d like a relationship to be

Fluttershy and Discord

Varian has no idea how they work, but he’s come to accept there’s things about love he’s not going to understand. He does know what Discord was like before he fell in love with kindhearted Pegasus, so Varian is content to leave that as is.

Pinkie and Cheese

Varian does not understand party ponies, he’s just surprised anyone could match Pinkie’s energy. He still enjoys spending time with them in short bursts, even if he doesn’t always understand them

Twilight and Tempest

Varian has noticed Tempest hanging around Twilights castle a lot more then she used to, and he also knows enough about love from his parents to recognize how his aunt and Tempest look at each other, even if they haven’t noticed yet.

Rarity

Is single and happy! At least at the beginning of the AU, she’s been too busy working. Not that she hasn’t had interested ponies, Varian has seen her turn down more than one creature. She just has high standards.

Starlight and Trixie

Starlight and Trixie may not be able to get him to come to the Friendship Academy, but that doesn’t mean they’ve not spent enough time with him for him to know they are in love. And for Trixie to give him ample smoke bombs

faith could easily live in pelican town. and she's one of those folks in a small town that is always just. making things and checking in on people. shane would probably find her annoying to a degree i imagine, but she doesn't care and just brings him things for his chickens and him and lot. just a little friendship sort of thing, and maybe if he likes coffee, he's one of the people whose orders she's memorized and kind of just. this young teen just helping keep an eye on him because she loves people so much.
