this doodle was actually the inspiration behind the formatting for my gatekey as PRISM magical girls. i’m still super super happy with how it turned out <3

these three are based on the PRISM magical girls from @actuallyrea original story. i don’t quite have a lot of basis for the design conventions, but i do think this followed with the power scaling how i’d hoped!

key’s ability is dependent on who she is around--her main color is usually pink, but will fluctuate to any depending on the nearest prism fighter to her. her accent color is yellow, and her ability is to copy other magical abilities as they come near her.

lock’s main color is purple and her accent is technically gray? black and white are supposedly colorless, so in this case her only color is purple, and it’s way way too diluted for it to be considered strong. her ability is to control chains that can bind and capture any absence.

harvey’s colors are orange with accents of green and technically brown? but still too desaturated to really contribute to the color pallet. his magic is being able to turn light into thin leaves and acorns. the leaves can be treated as shurikens or blades, while the acorns can be like canonballs to crush and destroy anything in their path.

i have grim and hunter in the works next, so get ready for that-- though for now, please enjoy my silly little pastel kiddos <333

i wanted to start some stickers and posters for fan art, but i noticed i struggle like,,, a lot when it comes to translating other artists characters as my own without almost replicating their style. so now i’ve been practicing making their character sheets first in my style, then going for the full design im going after.

fun facts;

sylveon i debated on making her into a hyena-based eeveelution, but she wound up looking more like a jack rabbit? i’m alright with that,,,

a lot of the time i see people making espeon looking a lot like a sphinx cat. but i wanted to lean closer to a cornish rex, as i feel that encapsulates closer to what i think her energy is.

umbreon is just a dog. that’s it-

very happy with how both lucy and the deathclaw came out. exceptionally proud of those poses, especially that shadowy presence the deathclaw has. ooo spooky <3

first time in a while i've drawn with anything other than the dry-ink pen in procreate,,,i think she came out good! mostly, i definitely had a few lines i had to thicken out here. but overall, i am much happier with this design than my old sticker concept of her.

i refuse to draw winged characters without a bird-tail or any "steering" ability. my comprehension of flight cannot handle the inconsistency, i swear to god--oh also i might turn this into a sticker. thoughts?
