I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™

Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.

Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.

We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.

And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.

It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?

Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Been watching the dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh as of late, and I know how much hate it gets but it will always have a special place in my heart. The Pharaoh's voice alone is legendary. And I don't care what NOBODY says, creation/censorship of the shadow realm was a stroke of genius. It's partly more terrifying than death.

I just finished the seal of orichalcos and holy shit. That was a ride and it made me love the Pharaoh even more. Him playing the seal and LYING to himself Bout why he needed to play the seal was just *chef's kiss*. They had him have this inner thought about how two different worlds were going to be destroyed if he lost to Rafael, and I was so confused. I had no idea where he got that thought from and I realized he was lying to himself to justify using the seal.

The truth of the matter was that he did not want to lose the duel. He was willing to risk everything for a fucking meaningless duel. This wasn't even an instance of a card being up for grabs. Homeboy just could not accept defeat.

I know the crystal he was wearing was influencing him but the crystal played on his ego. Yami (dubbed at least, I have heard different about the sub and Manga versions) is not an egotistical man but he still has one and why wouldn't he? This dude has looked insane odds in the eye before and came out on top. He was not about to be topped by this measly little duel.

And his ego, along with allowing himself to be driven by Rafael's words, cost him the closest person to him. Yugi taking his place as the soul to be secured was just the lesson he needed to learn. It was a classic thing of when the hero screws up, those closest to them pays the price rather than the hero themselves directly.

And what makes it worse was that he went back on his word to yugi. Back in season 1, he promised yugi he would never go against his wishes, and he did it here. Over a meaningless duel.

I am not sure how this whole thing hits in the sub, but it's so crazy cause the Pharoah is so RIGHTEOUS. He is so righteous and good and even he could not see beyond his ego and the effects of the crystal. He has been shown to be so kind and forgiving but yet he was willing to risk his soul and willing to condemn soul of rafael's just to win.

I know am just rambling in this post but my goodness. Yami playing that one card made the arc for me.

Bakura and Atem somehow become the aquatic cryptid equivalents of park rangers, and their whole deal is rescuing captured monsters and robbing their ill doers blind. Some of their 'clients' end up joining the crew, and some don't.

Ryou does though! His pelt was stolen by someone with the last name of Bakura, who forced Ryou into a very uncomfortable position. The guys manage to get it back for him, and Ryou decides to join their crew. He keeps the name Bakura in hopes of tarnishing his captor's good name with all the crimes he's going to commit against the crown.

(And yes, Bakura made Atem first mate, and there's probably a chapter in this where he just teaches Atem about boat things)

For the AU of Atem and Bakhure fighting in comments I'm going to put things I came up with for the creation of the plot

Atem and Yugi are half-brothers, sons of the same mother but different fathers.

Atem's last name is Sennen

In personal social networks Atem goes by the name Yami Mutō to avoid being recognized and harassed by fanboys and haters

Atem is the world champion of Duel Monsters

Atem has only lost to Yugi but Yugi prefers not to play professionally

Atem lives in Japan, but is of Egyptian descent.

Atem speaks Japanese, English and Egyptian Arabic.

His full name is actually Meryatem Sennen which means the millenarian beloved of Atem (the sun god).

He works at the game store in his spare time, which helps the store's publicity because he is so well known

Bakhure and Ryou are distant third cousins

Ahmed is Bakhure's last name

Bakhure's full name basically means "the blessed sunrise".

Bakhure is the regional champion of Egypt, it has never played in the world championships because Egypt is not a place of interest for Industrial Illusion or Kaiba corp, even though the game was born inspired by Egypt.

Bakhure is a medical student

Despite being the champion of Egypt Bakhure is not a celebrity, however he has some fans.

Bakhure doesn't give a shit about bullying, but still his networks are practically private

Bakhure has no major sponsors, but uses his image for his mother's family restaurant, that's where the income for his local and regional tournament entries comes from.

He works part-time at his mother's restaurant.

Bakhure has a scholarship for his studies, so he doesn't have to worry too much about getting all the books and materials he needs, he just has to maintain good grades (which he does).

Bakhure is an only child

Bakhure speaks Egyptian Arabic and English, his Japanese is very basic as he only uses it to talk to Ryou, he also knows Middle Egyptian.

Return of the Pharaoh

Vandal Savage had a problem. He felt a magic oath of fealty he took long ago, to one of the few people he was ever truly loyal to. When he was "younger" he swore a magical oath of loyalty to one of the most powerful God-kings of Egypt, Pharaoh Duul-aman. He attempts to Scry the location of his ancient Pharaoh, but his attempts are blocked by the powers of Anubis, the powers of the dead.

Tucker jolted awake, he had fallen asleep at his computer again. Recently he had been suffer more sleep problems than Danny, Instead of dreaming of his lovely ladies he had been dreaming of egyptian sands and a hairy man he feels he should know. He felt the tingling of magic under his skin. Nope none of that, he's had power twice and both times he nearly killed his best friend and once he enslaved his class. Hes learned his lesson that he cannot handle power.

Au, where Bakura comes back and him and Ryou randomly open a café. It's very cosy, and working there soothes Bakura a lot (save for the occasional difficult costumer). Ryou mostly does background management, and he also prepares the pastries. Bakura acts like working there is a huge inconvenience, but he actually really likes it. Malik is the resident bratty regular they can't get rid off and they probably hire Atem and Yamima at one point.
