my honest reaction when my 3d animation teacher tells us our next project is to make a 5 minute short film by May 13th

this includes concept art, story outlines, making our own character & prop models, making a set, adding audio, etc etc

(side note: I think he said 5 minutes but I could be very very wrong so take that with a grain of salt)

Remade and redesigned Alyssums' model, very proud of this one ^-^ I've figured out shoulders a bit more and now the elbows are just my greatest struggle.

Workin on gettin her into VR Chat but the poly count is a touch higher than I'd like > - > (also updating my unity version appears to have broken something so gotta figure out how to fix that with minimal effort before i can even do test builds lol)

⚔️“‘Tis But A Scratch.”☠️

A final I made for my 3D animation class. Yes, i used that one clip from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and yes, I included Valor, my knight OC from one of my BWW AUs, but bald due to their hair clipping through their body.

The reason why Valor is here is because this is exactly how they would handle this type of situation. Especially if one of their arms were severed, though they can grow it back instantly. It’s also funnier imagining the guy on the left being Balan.

So for my upcoming creature sculpt I picked this thing. I’m calling it a bunkie, for inscrutable reasons. I started to block it in and I am struggling to get the right Chunk I’m looking for but this is just the quickest first pass so it’ll be okay.

Learning Blender as an experienced artist is so galling like

And then I open Blender, and it's like, "I CAN MOVE A SINGLE CUBE IN ONE DIRECTION. SOMETIMES. LAST NIGHT, I BUILT A WASTEPAPER BASKET BY TAKING 20 MINUTES TO GET THROUGH A 3-MINUTE TUTORIAL. MY 3D ARTISTRY SKILLS ARE COMPLETE SO LONG AS MY SUBJECT MATTER IS CUBES AND OCCASIONALLY LITERAL GARBAGE. WHAT IS HAPPENING." 🙃😬⁉️😫☠🥸🤡🤡🤡

(I'm still proud of my art and of the progress I'm making learning a new program, but it's an ego check for sure. 😅)

It's super jittery lol. I animated pretty much this whole thing today. That's 3 animations I've finished TODAY.

I am so tired.

It's so hard to animate a faceless person speaking. That's why the head is so shaky and weird; I didn't know how else to show their speaking.
