Self-Aware!Yan!Illumina x player!reader

(TW: not as hard on the yandere aspects, but still a tw for stalking (kinda), kidnapping (also kinda), and curse words)

It was a normal day for you, at first at least. You got up, went to your classes in college, went back to your dorm, and played a Roblox game for a little while. You played Slap Battles for a good moment or two until you got bored of slapping children off a cliff with your overpowered paid glove. You then got back onto your favorites page, and saw a game you haven't played in like… a week.

Phighting.

It seems it got some sort of update, because the game icon changed to… some sorta deity looking thing. You didn't know much about the lore, you were mostly just playing the game for the gameplay. You had no idea what or who the icon was showing, but you went into the game without a second thought.

It loaded up like normal, same old music, same old map, same old characters… seems like nothing much has changed.

So you picked your main, Sword, and got into the game. You went to where Zuka was, pressing all the buttons you needed to get into the game.

It loaded.

And loaded.

And loaded.

Why the hell was it taking so long?

You started getting a little frustrated, and made an audible sigh of annoyance. You tried to close the game, but.. you couldn't? You went to the task manager, and tried closing Roblox from there, but Roblox didn't even show up! In fact.. nothing did. Your computer was messed up. You tried to turn off the computer as a whole, but surprise surprise, it didn't turn off.

“What the fuck..?” You murmured.

Then your computer froze completely. You tried clicking every button, tried turning it off AGAIN, and anything you could think of, until the computer suddenly unfroze.

You looked back up at the screen, and you saw you were.. still in Phighting, somehow. You were still in Crossroads, But every other player was gone, and all the NPCs were too, you were alone.

“What the hell..?” You decided to look around the map, or the middle part of Crossroads at least.

Then you saw something in the chat. A name in purple-ish white text. A name reading: Illumina.

“Hello, I've been waiting for your arrival, Y/n.”

It.. it knew your name. Not your username, but your ACTUAL FUCKING NAME. Your own computer doesn't even know your own name! You use your username for everything!

You managed to type in the chat:

“Hello? How do you know my name?”

“I know a lot about you, my dear. Now why don't you come meet me face to face, hm?”

Your computer froze again. Then, out of nowhere, your body started hurting, your ears started ringing, your eyes got blurry, your head started aching, it felt like you were dying. You soon passed out.

You woke up startled. You quickly sat up, but your head didn't seem to be feeling too great. Once your vision calmed down and you were able to see again, you looked around at where you were. You seemed to be in some brightly lit white room with no door and no windows. You got up from the oddly comfortable bed you woke up in and stood up. And with a thud, you fell onto the floor, your legs giving up on you.

“You won't be able to walk for a few hours, Y/N. So stop trying.”

You heard a voice, intimidating and masculine in nature. You looked up towards the voice.

A man, or what looks to be a man, was looking down at you. A bright figure, with one wing, dressed in mostly flowy clothes. He was wearing mostly white, but had a hint of purple in his outfit as well. Not to mention, one purple horn protruding from the left side of his head, with two other small horns coming out of the main one.

You moved to try to get up again but before you could, the man picked you up, and placed you back on the bed. You both made eye contact, his eyes… they were completely white, and bright, they seemed like they would blind you if you looked in them too long. He took notice of this, and smiled slightly.

“Good morning, love. Are you feeling okay? Humans.. I do not know if they handle world transportation well.”

“I.. who.. who are you..?” You managed to ask, it was hard for you to talk, it seemed.

“I am Illumina, and you are Y/N, such a lovely name.”

He placed a pale hand on your cheek, and laughed a little when you tried to pull away. You were confused, and scared, but you felt so.. weak, that you didn't have enough energy to push back too hard.

“Y/N, do not worry. I’ll take good care of you.”

“Wh..what do you mean..? Wh..where am I..?”

“You're home.”

you basically grew up on the set of avatar the way of water with all the other younger cast members, who practically were family to you at this point

most people try not to play favorites with their friends but you did and tried your best not to reveal to everyone that your favorite was jack. everyone found out anyway even though you thought you were sneaky

but anyways that's not the point

you and jack were "the duo" on set and loved goofing off with each other even though some scenes took longer to film because of this, no one really minded since they all shipped you two

like c'mon you two were so oblivious to the "flirty" side if your friendship that you guys were basically a lost cause

so one day britain, trinity, and jamie decided something needed to happen like cmon the tension was becoming too unbearable 

today you guys needed to film a scene where your character, spider, and the rest of the Sully kids were running around the forest before you guys find the recoms

this scene wouldn't have taken that long if it weren’t for you and Jack

you two were not taking anything seriously, stopping every five seconds because jack would trip you or you would push him into the set structure

and then when james would tell you guys what you needed to improve on the scene, you and jack would be playing roblox or scrolling through memes instead of listening

james had decided you two needed a break because you guys had filmed a lot already and you and jack were not helping get anymore done

so now you and jack were hunched over your phone where you kept making jack try on all these filters and you kept taking pictures for later 

jamie came up behind you two and tapped you and jack on the shoulders that were closest to each other and since you guys were hunched over, you ended up kissing while trying to see who tapped you two

you both froze and quickly moved away from each other, embarrassed

you guys heard cheering behind you and looked to see the rest of the cast even the adults, clapping and cheering, while jamie stood laughing his head off

"im going to fucking kill you!" you yelled at jamie, getting up to chase him

"y/n! i need a dollar for the swear jar since you cursed!" trinity yelled, also laughing while you and jack were chasing jamie around

eventually jack tackled him since there was no way you would actually be able to tackle jamie because of the unfair height advantage 

after jamie was on the ground, jack kept punching him, enough to slightly hurt but not enough to bruise while you held his legs down so he wouldn't kick jack

then you got the idea to steal jamie's phone and quickly took it from his pocket, tugging on jack's arm to tell him "let's go"

you guys ran into one of the storage closets no one uses and sat down, unlocking jamie's phone easily

"so you wanna talk about what happened there?" jack said, playing with your hair as you leaned your head on his chest, scrolling on jamie's phone

"mmmm no i rather not" you said, looking up and kissing him again

jack pulls you into his arms and you guys end up staying like that for the rest of the day, messing around on yours, jack's, or jamie's phone

Analyst Bulletin: Mobile Game Market Review February 2022

It may be the shortest month of the year, but February was an excellent time for developers to boost game revenue and player numbers thanks to seasonal event opportunities from Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day. Alongside a busy calendar of events, there were plenty of big updates and game launches, too. Here are the biggest highlights of the month.

In the US, a seasonal event in Merge Mansion helped the merge game’s daily revenue reach a new all-time-high ($84k). In Japan, Animal Crossing Pocket’s popular flower event returned with a Valentine’s Day theme, while Fate/Grand Order, Ensemble Stars!! Music, Guardian Tales and State of Survival joined the festivities with a variety of events that included everything seasonal from event quests and daily log-in rewards to themed currencies and new features such as buddy mechanics.

Chinese New Year celebrations continued to dominate in China, where Tencent’s arcade kart racer, Popkart Racer, got one of its biggest updates yet with limited-time IAP offers, recurring events and new PVP modes.

February was also a big month for collaborative events as big brands explore opportunities in mobile games and the metaverse. The Chinese battle royale game, Sausage Man, collaborated with Pizza Hut for a limited-time event based on…sausage-stuff-crust pizzas, while The Brit Awards showcase in Roblox featured a live performance from the artist PinkPanthress along with social hangouts and even a screen where players could watch the awards together. One of our favorite events was a PUMA X Minecraft collaboration, which introduced new gameplay elements with its PUMA-themed sprint levels.

Other highlights include Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier celebrating the original FF VII’s 25th anniversary with old-school polygon versions of characters, and the launch of turn-based RPG based on the anime My Hero Ultra Impact, and an idler game based on the hit TV sitcom, The Office. Japan saw some major new entries too, with the turn-based RPG Heaven Burns Red staying within the top-grossing 15 since launch and Attack on Titan Brave Order peaking at 36.

US Market Overview

Royal Match turned its Save the King ad creatives into a daily “side mission” game mode called King’s Nightmare, whose “minigame” levels are timed puzzle levels where players need to complete a puzzle in a limited time to save the King. The actual core mechanic is the same as usual, but in this mode, the number of moves is unlimited and the main focus is completing the level in time. Players can see the “King in trouble” on the top of the screen, but he gets rescued if the level is completed in time.Dream Games has been using these “King in trouble” settings in many of their UA campaigns, which is most likely the reason why they’ve been now added into the game itself (this is similar to what Playrix has done before with their “UA campaigns turned into in-game minigames.”) Previously, these King’s Nightmare levels have been popping up to players quite randomly (targeted to only some and not after any specific level number, etc.). However, at least in our game analyst’s case, King’s Nightmare is now permanently on the main menu screen, and there’s a new level to beat once a day.
