Your a simple person, you're critical and realistic.

When Alex confronted you about your relationship with Charles, it hit you till the pit of your heart. You begun thinking if you were too clingy or romantic with Charles. You begun distancing yourself from him thinking you were at fault. You did not want to be a homewrecker,ever.

Hey there! I've come across your art ever since I got into Risk of Rain 2 (better late than never, I've been sleeping on this game for years, jesus), and I'm enamoured with it, to say the least. Is there any advice you could perhaps give for an aspiring artist?

you're getting an essay whether you like it or not.

tl;dr of it if you dont want to read

- learn how to take critique

- dont skip fundamentals

- tracing is okay*

- be mindful when drawing

- you wont see good results for a long time

ok firstly, glad you like my art! i try my best on pretty much everything i make so the compliment is greatly appreciated!!

secondly, you have NO clue how much i love yapping about how to draw. im not an expert on how-to-draw-ology but i like to think i know enough to help other people not swing in the dark when it comes to getting better.

learning how to take criticism is THE most important part. not getting butthurt or at least listening to peoples critiques when they mean well is critical to improvement because its specialized advice for you. you have no clue how many young and/or new artists have gotten mad at me for giving critique when they specifically asked me for it. if youre looking to improve you gotta bite that bullet. not all criticism is valid(dont listen to people who are just tryna make you upset), but good and valid criticism can come from anyone. dont unvalidate someone's critique just because theyre not an artist or "not as good" as you. try and get as much feedback as you can and move onto the next piece instead of fixing something to perfection. you will get obsessed in a very destructive way.

learning fundamentals is another step to getting better. that means actually learning perspective, hands, anatomy, and all of the other stuff people hate drawing. its like lifting weights. most people dont like it but if you want to get stronger you need to put in the time to do the painful stuff.

chris christodoulou(ror's composer) actually made a similar comment about the topic of improvement in his field that was along the lines of "if you want to write music, stop playing video games and read a book". he got a lot of shit for saying that but honestly its true.

you need to treat art as a discipline if you want to get better at it. draw as much as you can for as long as you can before it becomes a health hazard. when im not resting i tend to draw at least three hours a day, not counting the 3 to 6 hours additional hours a day i draw during college. obviously a beginner doesn't need to draw that much but drawing daily is a good start.

if you want resources on where to look for fundamentals, Sinixdesign and Ethan Becker were who I turned to for advice that is relevant to the industry. There's definitely others out there but I tend to do more self studying so i don't know the more recent stuff.

something that they'll bring up is that tracing isn't bad AS LONG AS YOU DONT POST IT AND CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN. it's a good way to see how other people deal with stylization, but its absolutely not okay to post that stuff online. treat it like how traditional painters do master studies. its for your own education, not clout. and you shouldn't be drawing for clout anyway.

last but not least, draw what you love and you'll always love drawing. dont be afraid to hyperfixate and lose interest in things. it will help you continue your art journey. a lot of people in my art school have little to no motivation to draw outside of college because they have no interest in drawing outside of assigned work, which is not a great relationship to have with art if you want to pursue it in the long run. draw what you want to draw when the motivation hits you. if that motivation is risk of rain? draw it. if it's leg muscles then fuck yeah draw that too.

you can stick fundamental practice into your casual art by being mindful of what you are drawing. that can be done by asking questions about what's going on to further the progress of your art. its kind of hard to explain in text, but its basically just keeping in mind how your lines influence the piece.

in the beginning youre going to have ideas and none of them are going to translate to paper. its going to take years before anything will ever compare to whats in your brain and thats just the sucky part. ive been drawing seriously for about 5 or 6 years and theres still a ton of shit i do NOT wanna touch but i have to if i want to improve.

we're all sisyphus pushing that goddamn stupidass boulder and the only thing we can do is acknowledge how far we've come while still knowing that there's more work to be done. but thats kind of the shit that i live for.

So the case of Nigga Eren/ Black coded characters in fanfic is getting WILD. Now as someone who was on tumblr when people would lowkey get weird if you asked for a race specific fic NOW it’s like because of that lapse in representation and the new wave of tumblr, there’s this overcompensation online for Black users to feel seen and build community. Sometimes I wonder if the writers know how to even write a fanfic (not because they are bad 🫤 but the fact a lot of them just seem like self insert smut) ((arguably that’s all smut on here but still work with me)

As a tumblr user in my 20s with an account over ten years old, I feel like I can kinda Grandma the situation. Both sides have a point which is why the arguing isn’t going anywhere. I believe Black women can be attracted to negative, toxic masculinity. (I personally don’t read alot of x black reader fics cause it’s just not what I like or how I get down in real life). These characterizations bleed a bit too into the real world where these traits and ways are very unhealthy, toxic, and unsafe.

Tsubomi's head and torso are centered in an otherwise empty panel. She is hunched and her body is turned away, but she's looking straight at the reader, head tilted, a rueful smile on.

In the same view, Tsubomi straightens and puts her hands on her hips, leaning her head back. She tilts it to one side and looks down her nose at the reader, brow furrowed, mouth closed and wide.

Tsubomi centers her head, closes her eyes, straightens her arms, and suddenly (motion lines) claps her hands to the sides of her thighs in exaggerated formality.

She quickly (motion lines) bows. "I'm sorry, Mob. I've never thought about you that way."

Page 2:

Tsubomi and Mob are both visible in front of black silhouetted trees, Tsubomi leaning forward coming out of her bow, Mob leaning forward in dismay. Tsubomi looks blankly to one side and thinks, "I mean maybe when I was like, nine." Mob thinks, "But what about when we were nine??"

Over Tsubomi's shoulder, Mob looks cowed. Tsubomi is unhappy but frank, eyelids low, eyebrows high. "We've barely talked in, three years? We're not the same people we were." Mob: "Yeah…" Tsubomi: "I don't know you. I thought…"

An empty panel except for Tsubomi's head and shoulders occupying one side. She looks away, brow folded.

Tsubomi again looks down her nose at Mob, head tilted back and to the side, but this time smiling knowingly, arms spread out. Beside her is a damaged tree, wounded in two places. "I mean you're proud you did it though, right?"

Tsubomi's open hand is in close-up, and behind it Mob looking on. His eyes are empty. He is concerned.

Page 3:

Mob remains concerned and uncertain. "I--even if you don't want to uh, go, out, I'm still sad you're leaving."

Tsubomi sags. We look up at her as she and the trees twist away. "Yeah… I dunno."

Tsubomi's head and shoulders are upside down. She is facing away. Trees form abstract black stripes. The panel border is gone. "It'll be nice to have a change."

Mob's head and shoulders are in front of a bare tree with lots of small branches and twigs. He looks down.

Then a closeup of Mob's eye as he squints. "You waited for me here. Through the whole storm…"

The view zooms out, looking at Mob and Tsubomi from above. The trees are bent, leaves fly through the air, and Tsubomi's hair is blown back. Mob, standing tall, looks at Tsubomi, hunched and looking away.

Page 4:

The view is from underneath Mob and at an odd angle. Leaves ruffle around him. Mob says, concerned, "You must be pretty disappointed that I invited you here just to ask you out like everyone else."

A tiny panel. Mob is a black silhouette facing Tsubomi, who looks up from her head tilted away.

Tsubomi faces the reader, the otherwise empty panel framing her head and upper torso. In sadness her eyebrows are knit, her lower eyelids are up, and her mouth is small. "Yeah."

She shrugs.

Mob is in the same view, facing the reader. He leans to the side. There is a flower on his head. A petal has fallen off and is drifting away.

and unfortunately for jimmy he made the classic error of “typo in the group chat.” joel did what he had to 🫡 (buuuut once he saw how serious the situation was, he decided not to push it anymore)

when i graduated HS in 2021, i was 19 (my bday is late - nov 2002). i felt like an adult when i entered college. i was not talking to other 18/19yros who were still in highschool cuz thats weird to me, even if we were the same age (excluding siblings/cousins). i dont know how other peoples highschools function but we rarely mingled with lower grades unless in extracurriculars but even then once you graduate you only really keep in contact with the friends you graduated with so...

but anyway, i was not reading online fics/published books set during highschool cuz that part of my life has passed.

and i even waited till i was in college to REALLY start reading smut fics. like i dabbled as a hardheaded minor but stopped cuz i realized that sex is not the end all be all of life. its only a minor aspect so i went back to being in a child's place (cartoons, barbies, and justice store). luckly i didn't need an adult to block and yell at me to leave them alone.

i say all this to say that highschool 18/19 is very much different than college/adult living 18/19, so people can very well tell highschool students to be off their page but still have 18/19 ADULT friends who go to COLLEGE or work a 9-5 and pay they bills.

but also highschool is boring and such a confining setting. you can't do much with it. even most books with highschoolers take majority of place outside school and dont even touch on highschool life.

the only one i can think of 13RW and we all know that could have taken place in college or military base/barracks or a futurist space academy on a actual space ship. hell that's probably why the book/show was so crazy cuz it had to be spiced up from regular ass highschool life.

Chp 4: That’s Entertainment (Part 4)

The royal family limousine can be seen driving back to the hotel. Charlie can be seen hugging her knees and looking out the window when her jacket is ruined after Katie Killjoy attacked her, while Vaggie sits next to her, glaring furiously at Angel Dust.

Charlie suddenly sighs as Vaggie's eye twitches at Angel Dust, who can be seen amusing himself by playing with the car window roller repeatedly.

Vaggie scrunches up her face.

Angel Dust takes notice. "...What?"

"'What?' 'WHAT?!' What were you DOING?!" Vaggie angrily asks, as she rips off bits of her hair.

Angel Dust sighs and says, "I owed my girl buddy a solid! Isn't that a' "redeeming quality"?" He than does air quotes. "Helping friends with stuff?" While rolling his eyes.

"Not with turf wars that result in territorial genocide!" Vaggie exclaims.

"Eh, you win some, you lose a few hundred. Ehahahahahah!" Angel Dust laughs as he inhales. "It wasn't that bad, anyway." He proceeds to play with the button of the car window roller. Vaggie throws an unfolded pocket knife at the window roller.

"Aw, come on! I had to!" Angel Dust says as he brushes back his hair. "My credibility was on the line! I mean, what kind of reputation would I have if people found out I was tryna go clean? It just throws out my entire persona!" He says. He than suggestively pushes up his chest floof.

"Your credibility? What about the hotel's?!" Vaggie questions Angel Dust with gestures at a defeated Charlie. "Your little stunt made us look like a fucking joke!"  Vaggie than combusts.

Angel Dust scoffs. "No, no, no, babe. Jokes are funny! I made you look... uh, sad!"

The camera pans to Charlie. "And pathetic! Like an orphan... with no arms... or legs... Oh! With progeria!" Angel Dust says, just making it worse.

The camera focuses back on him. "Great! Now I'm bummed thinkin' about it!" Angel Dust starts looking around the limousine. "This thing have any liquor?" Angel Dust ask.

"Can you please just try to take this seriously?!" Vaggie asks in frustration.

Angel Dust flicks off a dust bunny. "Fine, I'll try. Just don't get your taco in a twist, baby!" He snaps his finger at her, while smiling.

"Was that you trying to be sexist or racist?!" Vaggie asks him.

Angel Dust groans. "Whatever pisses you off more. Is there seriously no liquor in here?!" Angel Dust asks once more but this time with a tint of disbelief in his voice.

Vaggie returns to sit next to Charlie as she crosses her arms. "I'm gonna kill 'im." Vaggie states to Charlie.

"Too late, toots. Wait! Would that make me double dead? Hah, and where exactly do I go? To Double Hell Hahahahahahahahal Sorry, you're stuck with me, bitch - get used to" Angel Dust folds his arms confidently.

Vaggie is now more angry than ever. She grits her teeth and says, "¡Con una mierda, malparido hijo de-!"Which translates, (For fuck's sake, you bastard son of-!)

"Listen, who cares if some jack-offs got hurt? Most of 'em are ugly freaks. Look around! Angel Dust states as he looks out the limousine window, smirking'. "You got a bunch a fuckin' Harlequin babies down here!" Angel Dust says while laughing.

"You're one to talk." Vaggie stated while smiling smugly.

"Hey!" Angel Dust motions to his body. "This body is flawless! Everyone wants summa me," He than pushes up chest fluff and takes out a letter. "and I've got the creepy fan letters to prove it!"

He takes the letters from in between his chest floof and reveals it to Vaggie that features a small picture of a dirty naked old man, who ironically has a "No Angel Dust" tattoo, smothering his mouth on an Angel Dust body pillow and a message at the bottom saying, "Show me your feet!! -Bryrin, #1 Fan/Critic".

"Grrr..." Vaggie growled with anger.

"That was really uncool, 'know, Angel." Charlie states with a small frown.

"'Uncool'?! After that train-wreck, there is no way anyone is gonna wanna stay at the hotel!" Vaggie says out of irritation. She looks toward Angel Dust. "All thanks to" She points at him. "you and your selfish bullshit!" Vaggie finished off.

"Does that mean I don't have a free room anymore?" Angel Dust asked with a bummed expression.

Vaggie motions a, "What do you think?" At Angel Dust.

Angel Dust snaps his fingers, "Ah...well, shucks."

"Hey, come on." Charlie says, she takes off the ruined jacket. "We don't know if things are over yet! Try to relax, Vaggie." Charlie said to Vaggie, putting a hand on Vaggie's left shoulder. "-it'll be okay!" Charlie reassures.

Vaggie smiles at Charlie softly.

Suddenly, the driver hit something and caused the trio to fall forward onto each other.

"What the fuck?!!" Angel Dusts says, while tangled in with Charlie and Vaggie.

"Have to stop for now to see what I hit." The driver tells them, getting out of the limousine and checks it out.

The trio got untangled and decided to go out to see what's up. When they got out, they saw the driver bending down with a look of concern on his face.

"You alright miss?" Asked the driver.

"Ah, I should be."  The person states, with a grunt of pain with it.

The trio approaches where the driver and the person is at and than they see a woman.

She has spiky long brown hair with golden highlights, green forest eyes, tan white skin, with three yellow dots underneath her eyes. She wore a coat, with long sleeved gloves that had sparkly white dots on the sunset color patterns. She also wore a white jumpsuit kinda clothing, with white long leggings with it, matching the pattern.

“Wow, she seems so..."

Angel Dust says before he could finish, Charlie beat him to it.

The trio seemed mesmerized by the woman, suddenly they see the woman try to get up, but instead, she falls right back down to the ground.

They quickly go over to her.

"Woah ma'am, take it easy." Vaggie states, holding onto the woman's shoulders.

"Yeah, don't push yourself!" Charlie says next, putting her arm onto one of her shoulders.

"It's okay, I think I just lost my balance." The woman tells them, but soon grunts in pain.

The trio looks down to see one of her legs is fully bruised with some cuts with it.

"I think it's just more than balance sweetheart." Angel Dust claims, looking a bit concerned.

"Sigh great." The woman mutters out, frustrated with the whole situation.

Charlie thinks for a moment until an idea pops into her head.

"How about we take you back to my hotel! There we can heal you and maybe you can even live there." Charlie says to the woman.

Who looks at her surprised.

"Really?" The woman asked.

"Yeah! You don't even have to pay any fee or anything while you stay at my hotel. You could think of it as, 'I'm sorry I fucked up your leg'" Charlie says sheepishly as the woman thought about the offer.

Soon she nods and smiles. "I wouldn't mind staying at your hotel, just as long as I don't get noisy neighbors." The woman states.

"Deal!" Charlie states. "Now let's go back to the hotel than!" Charlie states, as Vaggie and her carry the woman into the limousine. While they place the woman into the vehicle, Charlie than says, "I didn't catch your name..."

"Bella, that's my name" The woman tells her with a smile.

"I'm Charlie! Please to meet you."

"Same to you as well."

Once they all were in the limousine, they all go straight back to the hotel, with a new possible member tagging along with them.
