I don’t blame TTS. The dogshit literary and media comprehension of a fandom is not the responsibility of a handful of Swedes who made an obviously silly and satirical animated show. If you think a third party fan product is representative of an IP, or you choose to believe memes are canonical, that’s very much a you problem.

I blame 40k fans being stupid and not reading things, for 40k fans being stupid and not reading things.

Also, I don’t think they (Ogre Poppenang) should be hired to write books for 40k’s game. 40k has plenty of good writers, it just needs better editorial oversight. Plus, Alfabusa and co. are much happier and doing a whole lot more impressive stuff with the new WoD show, Hunter: The Parenting.

What was the reason for using basketball for Samson's backstory?

In all honesty it was an excuse to make a Jock to be utterly out of synch with the other players' backgrounds, because I rarely play extremely physically adept people.

Then I remembered Elemental Roulette, Wakka from FF10's limit break, and that was it. I simply must have him create either a Chaos Dunk, or an Echo Slam.

Hi! I wanted to say I love this fic so much. I've read it several times over and I love seeing all your art for it as well. Thank you and aquaquadrant for bringing us this beautiful work! Tango is one of my fav Lifers and I adore Bravo and Atlas too. The characterizations are so fun. The angst is right up my alley and the soft moments balance it out beautifully. I loved reading the Hels bits and trying to figure out who each character was connected to on the overworld and the way you decided their differing traits was so interesting. The designs are also very cool. I adore Grian's jacket and glasses, Lizzie and Joel are gorgeous, Pearl is terrifyingly beautiful with all the bug traits, and Ren being a massive wolf is so fun! Tango being a blaze hybrid imprinted on my brain so hard I forgot it wasn't actually canon to his YT character's lore. It's true in my heart now. And Dbubs and Patho? Delicious. Good soup. I can't wait to see all the incredible stuff you guys put out in the future! I'm sure it'll all be great and I'll love every bit of it All that being said, I've had a bit of a day (/silly), so here's me projecting my period cramps onto Bravo <3 Have a lovely day/night!

Imagining Bravo shouting about how Vile and Disgusting and Evil hels players are, trying to convince Jimmy that Tango is Not Right For Him - only for Jimmy to look right past Bravo and at Timmy - starving, dilapidated, suffering Timmy. A version of himself that he presumes Bravo has been dragging around, and he sees how Timmy absorbs that information. Imagining the WHIPLASH on Bravo as Jimmy points out "All hels players? Timmy is RIGHT THERE, look at him -"

I sob hysterically - I DESPERATELY NEED for someone to point out to Bravo THAT TIMMY IS R I G H T THERE AND HE IS H U R T I N G and how Bravo's words ARE JUST AS CRUEL AND JADED AS ANY HELS PLAYER.

Alternatively, that one meme of that lady holding up some guy while pointing a finger at someone, except make it Jimmy holding Tango and Timmy whilst pointing at Bravo.

Aaaand oh god the parallels of how Jimmy and Bravo truly *aren't* well matched in how while Bravo is dogmatic in his hatred and detests hels and their players, Jimmy has such a capacity for compassion, I couldn't possibly see him hating even a hels version of himself that could be everything he may hate in himself. FUCK THE NARRATIVES ARE SO GOOOD. I will forever chew on this au, thank you Aqua and thank you Lunar for this masterpiece.
