Hey dude! I saw that you are into lifting! I am also ftm and a total gym rat. I was just wondering more about your experience/ why you like it/ your goals and such :) I love seeing more trans people in the gym! 💪😁
I'll be real, my experience is probably not the "norm" because I hate USAmerican gym culture, so I'm extremely solitary.
I honestly think my biggest goals are cardio and embracing what I've got. Cardio is so underrated, I think, because people focus on the "lose weight" mythos of cardio and forget that you're training your most important muscle in your body. Honestly, as I've gotten further in my testosterone journey, my fat has redistributed, but I'm most likely going to be just like the other men in my family (so pretty bottom-heavy), so I've been embracing that by weightlifting in those places.
It's honestly just really nice to be able to celebrate what your body is able to do and add to your body's abilities. So often, I think a lot of us forget to remember that our bodies are complex and that it's a miracle to see it working the way it does. You're telling me that it can be molded and trained and honed like you're a blacksmith making the most beautiful sword ever? Sign me up! I really think going to the gym, no matter what you do, can be a really important thing for trans people specifically. It was a really nice way to reconnect with my body and to remember that no matter what I hate about it, it'll be there (not out of spite but out of care and love)

Every single time a problematic/harmful/just fucking stupid idea circulates and is revealed that the original poster was just trolling or a psyop, it's important to point that out but we also have to recognize... once OP is given that platform and it is received unironically, people sincerely co-sign it. Every bad take I ahve seen that was malicious or a joke or whatever has had very, very sincere people joining it.
"Teens now are unironically supporting Osama Bin Laden" may have been a psyop at its original point, made to discredit people currently criticizing Israel/America, but there are real, non-trolling people who either are malicious themselves and agree with all of the ugly bits of his letter/legacy OR are so uncritical/ignorant in their readings (or pretend-readings) that they have cosigned his point.
Posturing for whatever is framed as The Most Radical is absolutely a thing that has people mindlessly agreeing to whatever they are told is morally correct. It's also why there has to be constant reminders for people to stop falling for open antisemites who are using Palestine as a way to further their antisemitism. Like... people have to be guided away from open, literal neo nazis because they just are mindlessly going along with whatever "seems" right.
So, yeah, "Bin Laden's letter" DID only "go viral" because someone said it went viral (you can literally look at the google trends and see the exact moment it was declared to be popular and then how it was AFTER that that it became popular) and likely did have bad intent.
But people who are ping-ponging off of any radical point they can find and who are dealing with Anti-American Imperialism rhetoric for the first time and therefore will grab onto whatever they can... are in fact falling for it.
And we need to have tools to... refocus their radicalization away from that. Instead of just pointing and going "FAKE INTERNET PLOT!" we need the space to give people the tools to A. Actually engage with the rhetoric they are spreading and B. Learn better sources.
Yes, people should know better. But... people don't. Even when it's their own fault for not knowing better (and it often is), the way of getting htem to be better isn't just shrugging it off.
Like... people are genuinely saying "I'm glad people are learning to question America via Osama Bin Laden's letter." That is bad.

Even the Palestinian activists who raise their pinkie fingers to call out antisemitism always do it in such a backhanded way. “This is not how you support the movement,” is the most common refrain I hear. Jew Hatred is inconvenient for the optics, it’s not a moral outrage or something that the descendants of historical Jew Oppressors have to grapple with. At worst it’s implied that accusations of antisemitism come from some CIA-Mossad Psyop to make Palestinian Liberation synonymous with antisemitism. Like firstly if the shoe fits girlie 🤪 secondly I fear I’ve never seen evidence of anyone who actually cares about Jewish life, Jewish safety, Jewish sovereignty. There are few Israeli Arabs but they’re clearly not the majority of Palestinian activists, and it’s very obvious they’re not an attractive token and the fact that a minority of Israeli Arabs identity as “Palestinian only” is not true do not think do not research look over there what’s that!

I think it's the msscribes of the world pushing these conspiracy theories about the AO3 DDOS. Not everything is a psyop, but there are 4chan trolls on here reblogging "fic is morally neutral" posts back to back (like 5-10 posts, same day) with telling their anons to kill themselves for writing / reading / posting fic, which they tell anon is CSEM. And then they'll increasingly harass anyone pointing it out escalating from gaslighting, scapegoating, etc. to doxxing and sending rape / death threats / suicide baiting the more they resist. As if their hypocrisy isn't immediately evident to anyone who refuses to be gaslighted and isn't 14 years old. The Archive will come back or be replaced. DDOS-ing it isn't going to "ruin those whore bitches' fun" the same way burning the Library of Alexandria didn't destroy the concept of libraries and fiction. What they're trying to accomplish is beyond me... F451.
people just have an astounding lack of awareness of how channers actually operate. this kind of thing is far from uncommon
the most likely answer is that while the person responsible for this is a horrible bigot of some flavor or another, they through in the terms they did to make people clamor about and speculate about the identity of the attacker. it's the same as labeling themselves Sudanese or implying they're actually Russian. i'm sure they find it all very funny that it's something people are even talking about
and i'm sure that the ddos attack will pass. either the attacker will get bored or ao3 will figure out some sort of solution to it. it's not like this is the first ddos attack ever, and they take donations for a reason, to ensure the survival of the site. if a single persistent ddos attack could completely kill AO3, then it would have died a death years and years ago

Some people have already jumped to "Hillary Clinton lost because people talked about racist things she do so anyone who talks about Biden doing racist things is a faker virtue signaller psyop Idiot Trump loving fascist".
I cannot stress enough that demanding people ignore the most fucked up shit any politician has ever done or else they are "the enemy" is 1) absolutely BS 2) creates a lose lose situation for minorities 3) preserving the racist status quo.
(Also, the "Hillary lost because people didn't want to be called racist for voting for her" is so damn dumb, you sound like a conservative who thinks democrat voters act like cartoon caricatures, and you are dancing around her losing due to her alienating entire demographics of voters out of racism/believing she didn't actually have to work to earn their votes)
IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT CHANGE TO COME FROM THESE POLITICIANS, YOU HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEY LIKE EVERYONE HAVE DONE RACIST AND MESSED UP THINGS, MORE SO THAN MOST OTHERS DUE TO THEIR POSITIONS OF POWER, AND CRUCIALLY, HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE, HOLD THEM TO THEIR PROMISES TO DO BETTER, AND DEMAND THEY CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.
If an establishment democrat presidential candidate actually owned up for the messed up shit they and the party have done and actually worked to make amends to the communities they harmed and actually committed to standing against racism and bigotry, they'd all but instantly be a more moral president than pretty any other.
Calling anyone who talks about bigoted and messed up things Biden has done a Psyop Virtue Signaller faker idiot racist Trump loving fascist is just they way you have chosen to tell minorities "I don't care about the racism or bigotry you face when it's inconvenient for me"
(This was prompted reading the posts of someone who legit believed that Hillary lost because "virtue signaling" progressives (You know they desperately want to call the SJWs like they want to call people slurs) didn't campaign enough for her for free because "they thought she was racist". Completely ignoring the fact that people DID vote for her and She WON THE POPULAR Vote, losing primarily because she lost major states because she ignored entire voter demographics and alienated them with her racist record and thus lost the Electoral College. This person also reblogged posts calling people who reblog posts about Palestine "Pro Pal Fandom" regardless of context or anything, and generally seems to consider that no one legitimately cares about the genocide, and just considers it all an "AstroTurf virtue signal Russian (or Chinese) PsyOp" designed to "cost Biden Voters" because the world Truly revolves around Biden's polling numbers to them the same way conservatives believe international politics revolve around Hunter Biden's genitals)

Vegans get such a bad rap cus the idea that killing animals is what most of them hate and they think its irredeemable evil and theres no ethical way to kill and use a animal and its all exploitation is quite literally psyop😭. Vegans are more often than not anti-consumerist and anti-capitalist and against the ACTUAL exploitation of animals committed by capitalism. You can explain back and forth how killing animals is morally ok, that humans have always done it, that humans have mutually beneficial relationships with the animals they kill, and you would be right! But you cannot look me in the eye and say what capitalism does to livestock is respectful to them. Like you are avoiding the actual topic so seriously. Very few vegans think all animal produce is through exploitation, that capitalism trying to use them as scapegoats is a good idea.

idk dude im just so indescribably angry about this whole thing. they're rading hospitals, they've been raiding hospitals for years, they've raided mosques, they raided a fucking mosque during Ramadan this fucking year before the Oct. 7th attack, they've bombed journalists and all this under the pretense of "fighting Hamas" and unless you're Jewish or Palestinian yourself you weren't supposed to talk about it. and then it escalates and first off you have to make sure everyone knows you're condemning Hamas and that Hamas is bad and two wrongs don't make a right, don't even for a moment mention how the difference in power and victims is in orders of magnitude, both sides are just as bad ok, but you have to specifically mention you hate one particular side if you don't want to be suspect. and then the Israeli side escalates and escalates and escalates, but make sure you mentioned they're not *as* bad as people think, they didn't bomb* that* particular hospital *that one time*, and this tweet is spreading misinformation guys it's the most important thing ever, it's very important to talk about how leftists are stupid and spreading misinformation, let's just conveniently never mention the mountain of lies the Israeli government has put out in order to defend the aforementioned attacks on hospitals, publications and mosques, it is vitally important we condemn the bad leftists right now especially those who criticise Biden. speaking of which, if you've lost faith in electoralism and the various purportedly progressive parties especially the American Democratic party, you're crazy, you're a psyop, you want trans people and immigrants and women to die. you just Vote Blue No Matter Who and push them left, that's literally the only way to do anything, there's nothing else us poor downtrodden Americans can do.
and you're a crazy radical if you see any of this and lose faith in liberalism or distrust anyone who insists on criticising both sides. you're brainwashed if you're a Palestinian who chooses to side with Hamas rather than give an inch to the people killing your brothers and sisters. you're an antisemite if you use words like 'zionism' or 'ethnostate' or if you think the state of Israel is unjust and shouldn't exist. if you don't maintain a "rational" mind and composure during all of this shit happening, that's a moral failing on your part, the "both sides" liberals are the moral sane ones here.
it's fucking infuriating.

I know the sub guys dying is funny, not trying to moralize our collective catharsis here, but does anyone else think it's super weird how even the most mainstream of media like turned it into a countdown, like this for TV event.
A small very paranoid part of my psyche lately has been recognizing stuff like that, and this stupid elon musk fight (musk in general tbh) as propaganda made to entertain us, deflecting anger away from the less visible aspects of society and wealth inequality or w/e
onto these sorta cartoonish super-villain billionaires we can make memes about
it just feels like a psyop to me

Genuinely I truly think That Lane doesn't realize, to sound generic, Who They're Fucking With when they try to playfight in the leak and spec sandbox.
I don't just mean me, dude. But even while I declare myself retired and pass off playing crowmaster to other hands I've *still* got two psyops running in this fandom undetected beyond even my normal media sources.
Like at any given time I've got data collection in just about every perceived lane, including the intel they think they have most of the time, and it just goes in the bag. These people that are quick to pretend to be ITK with the first gloss of knoweldge they lift badly off a reddit board don't understand like. Yes we also have that, and most of the things you have, or have posted about. But unlike you, desperate for attention, we wait until we collect several hundred of those details into a complete picture before peeping a word, which is what results in the contextual understanding of the content they fuck up on how to read every single time.
Guys I'm not even kidding like. It's 2023 and you're still playing little league softball when there's literally casual fandom infrastructures I don't even need to maintain anymore that delegate far more information than you've ever managed to collect.
And that's WHY you failed at market testing, at berens intent, at the confession, the roadhouse, the omissions, the pilot, the episode morals, at dean's involvement, all of it. You literally do not understand the field you are playing in and think every little scrap you find is something you can extrapolate into insane ass theories.
And yeah, I'll repeat it. I do psyops. Always have. Consider me unethical if you want, but they've been very, very successful to achieve the desired results. Many have passed by without fandom ever knowing they were going on. Some continue to happen under their noses while they heckle.
It's getting to a point of embarrassing to watch these kids play dress up digital important people House online like they have bearing in this shit anymore. And literally they got like a month left on the finale and a few on renewals being officially announced to just talk and talk and talk, because even six years of consistent failures and wipeouts well documented at this point haven't been enough to teach them to shut the fuck up, and that their hallucinations and delusions and opinions were never reality, or even like, adjacent to the track of reality within spitting distance.

I know this has been done to death, but The Lorax is such a weird movie. Its world is based in one of the most terrifying dystopian premises--the commodification of clean air--and yet the social commentary only goes so far to scold audiences for their consumerism, using a caricature of a society that is anything but oppressed. The Thneedville citizenry live in a luxurious suburban corprotacracy smack dab in the middle of environmental devastation. Where does the food come from in a world of ecological collapse? Why is the prospect of a toxic, polluted environment brushed off nonchalantly mid-song? Why does nobody in this society feel the affects of the worsening environment? And infamously, replacing the original's cliffhanger with a feel-good ending.
Call it poor writing or a big oil psyop all you want, but I think the real reason is that anything beyond what Illumination produced would be too risky. Movies are financial investments; a mediocre, well-marketed movie is more likely to be successful than something that takes a risk and fails.
But I still mourn what could have been. Imagine it: The zany Seussian architecture draped in smog, vibrant colors tainted by accumulated pollutants. Characters traversing in bulky respirators, childhood innocence slowly chipped away by a mother's distress at increasing air prices. An open-ended conclusion defined by a singular glimmer of hope.
Would it make children existentially discomforted? Yes, and good. Not only is it an endless source of my amusement, it's also a moral prerogative for these sorts of things.

Ukraine — Another Lost United States/NATO(North Atlantic Terrorist Organization) War With No Regrets
— By Jan Oberg | December 16, 2023
Tumblr media
Illustration: Chen Xian/Global Times
One of the enigmatic aspects of international politics is that big and militarily superior countries have systematically lost wars in smaller countries over the last 50 years, from Vietnam to Ukraine. "Losing" here means military defeat, being forced out, losing the struggle for the hearts and minds of the people, and facing fiasco when it comes to achieving the professed noble motives like introducing human rights, democracy, freedom or liberating women. And given the tremendous human costs, particularly in the Middle East, the US' "Global War on Terror" since September 11, 2001 is also an intellectual and moral disaster.
The US - by far the world's largest military spender, interventionist, warrior, occupier, global base-builder with the most militarized foreign policy - is in a class of its own. In losing wars too.
It is now rapidly losing legitimacy, relevance and credibility in the eyes of most of the world outside US/NATO/EU/ANPO/AUKUS. Firstly, all these imperial militarist adventures have been woefully anti-intellectual and imbued with the arrogance of power, elements of racism and hubris. Secondly, after quite predictable fiascos and defeats - such as in Iraq - there comes a time when propaganda, psychological operations (PSYOPS), media influencing, and psycho-political projection no longer do the trick.
There comes a time, too, when even the biggest military spender and economy cannot finance its weapons addiction and its arsenals of weapons and ammunition dry up.
It's called over-extension and diminishing legitimacy in the eyes of others, it's called militarism to death and is transforming into imperial decline and eventual fall. No empires have lasted forever and that of the US/NATO world will be the last. No one is so foolish to believe that, in an incredibly diverse world, everybody else would accept one player to be the all-dominating system and shape others into its own image. Missionary times are a thing of the past.
Enter Ukraine. NATO set itself up in Kiev immediately after it became independent and declared in 2008 that it would become a member of the alliance. It was a gross violation of the promises indisputably given to the last Soviet President, Michael Gorbachev, but such was the unipolar we-can-do-whatever-we-want sentiment.
In an autistic manner, NATO refused to listen to Russia's legitimate security concerns and also did not bother about the fact that there was only a tiny minority among the Ukrainian people in favour of membership of NATO. Instead, a regime change in Kiev was all that was needed: installing a pro-Western leadership, paying it well and giving it an offer it could not refuse by wooing it step-by-step into the ever-expanding alliance.
Russia then put its foot down, and insult had to be added to injury: We will help you, Ukraine, for as long as it takes for you to win "our" war against Russia and "weaken" it; you'll be covered the whole way, just fight for us to the last Ukrainian.
Thus, Part One with the expansion and wooing, and Part Two with the militarization and proxy war - but no membership of NATO, which would commit NATO troops to Ukrainian soil and cost NATO lives. Now comes Part Three - the abandonment and Ukraine on desolation row to be fixed by a faltering EU.
Here, the Palestine-Israel conflict comes in handy. The political and media attention on Ukraine has diminished significantly, while Ukraine's counter-offensive has stalled, and internal conflicts in Kiev accelerate.
The NATO blame game is on: We gave you all the weapons, ammunition and training we could, but you did not manage the military struggle well; your leadership is falling apart, and you are not as grateful to us as we had expected, and so on. And do not expect NATO or EU membership in the near future (no matter what we say for the public).
Obviously, nobody wants to be associated with such a political, economic, military, legal and moral fiasco. Not the US and NATO's leaders, who, from a historical perspective, provoked it in Part One and, instead of admitting it, continued to Part Two and Three.
The EU has not been able to develop its own policies on the Ukraine conflict. It followed the US blindly, installed history's toughest sanctions and completely isolated the largest European state, Russia, from Europe. Sweden and Finland willingly let themselves be pushed into NATO for no serious reason. Then followed the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines, the largest ever infrastructure destruction (most likely carried out by the US because President Biden and other leaders said they would do just that and because of the silence and lack of official reports explaining who did what).
Weapons depots are becoming emptied, and now, to put it crudely, the Union looks increasingly wobbly politically while undergoing its deepest ever economic crisis. Germany's economic and political situation looks bleak. The EU area is likely to also be heavily hit by the long-term repercussions of the violence in the Middle East.
The EU's helter-skelter knee-jerk reaction to Russia's military operations in Ukraine prevented any analyses of likely consequences in the short-, mid- and long-term of these measures, which were as ill-considered and irrational as they were drastic. Russia, on the other hand, will get out of this quagmire much better than the EU.
While the US is comparatively well protected from the negative consequences of its policies, its European allies are not. The burdens on the civilian economy caused by warfare, militarism, tremendous re-armament, and refugee flows - and thereby, depletion of resources urgently needed for European infrastructure, climate change measures and welfare investments - paint a dark picture of the future.
It will likely become a guns-before-butter society, and future generations will have to pay the bills.
As time goes by, people will take to the street - for themselves and/or in support of, say, the Palestinians. Simultaneously, the far right will see its dawn as the economic crisis deepens.

The Trick: Pretend you're interviewing real women and not actresses, paid to say stupid shit, then guys will believe all women are this greedy and stupid and women will believe they should be this greedy and stupid, if everyone is like that. The spreading of prostitution and popularizing low morals is important when bringing about the ruins of a country. Most of us don't act like this but it's the only example some ot our young are seeing, thanks to the likes of Elon Musk. He's one of the subscribers to Clown World, along with Ian Miles Cheong. It is its own form of a Psyops operation.
I'd be willing to bet that the Jerry Springer show was another one. All it did was display the worst of humanity; reducing often, poc to animals. I couldn't stand that show.

"your characters should be likeable and relatable for the audience to enjoy and love--" SHUT THE FUCK UP. this specific notion of likeability and "soft" relatableness in characters are a psyop by capitalist ventures to sell more media with the intention of consumer consumption, and it is not concerned with provocation of thought. it also brings about the most "non-threatening" stereotypes to the front, allowing people put themselves in the shoes of the most Blandest and Relatable TM characters that do not challenge your everyday life thinking, and that is why we're in the middle of the internet-wide moral panic over "liking the wrong media" and "sending a morally wrong message" with their works.

this is my way of fighting back. or at least putting a record that details my actual perspective on this situation, which is a vehement abuse of power by the government, but is also too cutting edge for most people outside of the military and government to properly respond to. i need to voice my side of things to put my perspective out and have it archivable online. the narrative should not be completely controlled by people who would want to end me, people who are more curious about the technologies' implications than actually help and advocate for me and my wellbeing first, and people who want to participate in a moral panic and witchhunt to fulfill the meaningless voids in their lives.
the use of deceptive language has mailcious and state/imperialist oppressive intentions. several forms of coded language, speech patterns and sarcastic tones have been used for civilians and residents to participate in a makeshift interrogation for the government, under the pretense of normalcy. like a mother trying to find the truth from their mischievous child, or a girlfriend finding out their boyfriend has been cheating on them and needs to catch up in the act to prove the truth. there is no grander wisdom they can communicate to me in this moment, their live love laugh mantra is nothing but an excommunication of the thought of politics and any semblance of radicalism from their lives. it's not wisdom, it's self preservation and convenient happiness under the imperial spoils we get to enjoy.
the continous prefixes of "it's like...", about....", "who cares...."(which i use often), "this is SO not ...." /s, and other sentence starters marks a sunshine type of carefreeness that can't be bothered to speak on US Imperialism, atrocities committed under the name of capitalism, colonialism, and fascism.
this is valley girl speak, this is California, this is the girls girl talk of the 80s that has been exported worldwide and affected young girls' and women's speech patterns and thought processes accordingly.
double negatives have also been introduced to confuse other participants while noting that anyone who can't understand it though context and observation are inherently stupid, instead of dealing with people who aren't native English speakers, aren't from white majority communities, aren't from the Northern parts of the United States, grew up speaking and thinking with AAVE, and aren't good at picking up sarcasm.
auntie speak has been used to bolster the importance of forgotten 1st immigrant women of color in surveillance and psyop situations, the use of un as a prefix to words has been used as either revenge of not being taken seriously and dismiss by xenophobic English speakers, or as a dismissal of the concept behind unlearning oppression and working towards dismantling it. words such as "unserious", usually to describe someone who is always joking and not taking anything in their lives seriously in a negative matter by the Nigerian diaspora can be used instead describe something that is serious but confuse native English speakers to what the aunties are speaking about. it's probably not of the more destructive, tedious, frivolous and deceptive forms of coded speak that has been invented during this process.
everyones desire to be influential and unique has been detrimental to this situation as well, leading to people to just making up their own coded speak and teaching it to others like it's a cool secret move to be introduced to a secret club. I think I should probably decode how each speak and write a guide like a makeshift linguist.

I think a lot of people are stuck in doom-thinking and that also muddles their ability to look at things objectively and at the facts. Kind of similar to how some people on here get offended when someone with depression says something along the lines of "going outside if possible helps sometimes and so does brushing your teeth". Crabs in a bucket thing and all that.
I agree. Personally, while I understand ppls grievances, a lot of what Biden is currently doing is stuff that I've, over the years, have made an effort to compartmentalize/lower my expectations on because stuff is ALWAYS happening and it can be incredibly overwhelming at times. Like, I used to read/watch the news every day, and while I was able to deal with 99% of the information I received, it gets exhausting after a while. It feels like the world keeps finding new and fucked up ways to keep disappointing you. I've been there, I get it, and it fucking sucks.
The way I see it, most of us aren't going to be able to directly affect what's happening outside of going outside to protest or getting involved in local politics or other community efforts. Yes, you can also vote, but from what I've seen, ppl tend to view that in a defeatist manner as well. The overall sentiment on this website during the 2020 election was that Biden wasn't an ideal/perfect candidate so why should anyone bother voting. And while I completely understand and empathize with that, the other side doesn't give a shit about whether Their Guy is perfect. They just care about getting Their Guy in office.
Which puts into perspective the whole "Biden sucks" discourse because if anyone on the other side has grievances about Trump (which they almost certainly do) they're still willing to vote for the fucker without acting like their arm is being twisted. Which is also why ppl tend to view all of discourse about Biden sucking as some kind of psyop.
It's one thing if you (gen) decide not to vote for him, but now you're on The Internet actively trying to discourage people (some of which are new voters) from voting, because while you harp on and on and on about how our current system sucks, you not only can't seem to accept it for what it is and try to work with it in some capacity ("wOrKiNG wiTHiN a fLAweD sYSteM dOEsN't wORk uwu") you're also a little bitch who won't do anything meaningful to actually try and change things. You can volunteer and get involved in community efforts or get involved in local elections. But no, instead you're in my fucking notifs trying to dunk on me because feeling morally superior over how much Biden sucks is really what matters to you.
And it's like. I fucking hate Biden as much as I hate Hillary. I still voted for both of them. Die mad about it.
Anyway, all of this crap to me is just focusing on what I can and can't control, tuning out the noise surrounding it all, and prioritizing what makes me happy. Which is how I tend to view most of the wank on here and other corners of the internet. If arguing about Biden sucking is how other ppl wanna spend their time, then they can have at it. Just leave me tf out of it, for fuck's sake. I'm not on tumblr to argue with ppl about this crap. It's not worth my time or energy. I only have a certain number of fucks spoons to spend throughout the day, and I'd rather spend them on something that makes >me< happy.
