Cherry Blossoms was beyond disappointing, as expected (spoilers, I guess)

I already went in to this event with 0 expectations since I've already heard things about it that weren't good, but holy shit-

I was expecting it to be bad, but not THAT bad 😭

It was short, rushed, boring, and overall felt like a waste of time, just like Farrah's.

Actually, scratch that: WORSE than Farrah's. At least hers had actual parts and chapters to it 💀

If yall thought any previous story events were rushed, this one will literally feel like flipping a light switch: I literally read the entire thing in less than 10 minutes.

The only compliment I can really give Cherry Blossoms is that the art is still flawless (look at me talking like Sakura now, omfg 💀) like usual. But to me, it wasn't enough to save the story

And what sucks is that there IS good potential here! They could've easily turned this into something interesting, it could've been a 4-5 chapter mystery story like Sea of Sorrow was.....but devs have once again put in 0 effort into esper stories, and it honestly breaks my heart. Why can't we just have 1 good, developed lore already.....

Sakura fans, I'm so so sorry: yall deserved better than this. SHE deserved better than this 😭

I don't think I'm gonna make another post like this until we get a good story again tbh. I'm tired of complaining, and I'm mainly a fanart blog anyways🚪 🚶‍♂️

My turn to be skk-posting

in my ideal vision, when they finally get in something resembling a relationship (as adults, they were Not There as teenagers), it's because they both want it, which means they unlock previously forbidden features with each other like sharing a bed instead of a couch (you all know about my weird obsession with skk and couches), but also freely touching.

Dazai is a rather tactile person; my guy is freed after 2 weeks in prison and the first thing he does is dance, poke at, lean/hug and play with the hair of the first non-evil person (a stranger) he meets. Being with Chuuya, he constantly finds himself in Chuuya's bubble, and indulges in ways he usually can't with others. That often means direct skin contact, not even with ulterior motives, but really just because he is allowed and he wants to.

Chuuya on the other hand has never done something gently ever: he is fierce, he cares and loves intensely, and he never lets go, but he barely knows the concept of a reassuring gesture (working on it). Dazai being in his bubble wouldn't bother him at all by that point, but the handsy part? it's awkward. needs some getting used to. It's a learning opportunity.

And when Chuuya gets used to it and finally makes a move to return the favour? it's Dazai who short-circuits.

“haha odo is so beige and bland and boring despite being a literal shapeshifter” like ok yes I laugh at those jokes too and find them funny I literally have no issue with them but sometimes I also wanna talk about how that’s kind of the whole point of his character.

like odo’s abilities and way of being is so unlike any other known species in the alpha quadrant that it’s shown to be disturbing and off-putting to a lot of people — or at the very least that’s what he was led to believe. like we see this in the alternate where mora tries to convince him he’ll either be locked up in a prison or put in a zoo to gawk at if he’s perceived to have committed any sort of crime or transgression.

so despite being able to literally become anything he can think of, he chooses his default presentation to be as standard, bland and uninteresting as he possibly can. male, always in a beige uniform, very standard hair cut.
