FOREVER AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING FOR COSMETIC

Fight for what’s right

Worldwide about 115 million animals are being used for animal testing. Out of 115 million, those 12 million animals were taken place in Europe testing, approximately 4 million were in the UK, and another half of million tested in the Netherlands. Moreover, a lot of animals that are being experimented are bred but got killed without ever being used again. In this cases, the animals weren’t used for experiment while they were alive but the just got killed and use some part of their body that needed for an experiment, other parts just throw away. Therefore, The real number of victims with this method experiment is getting higher every year.

Amazingly, Since 2013, EU has been promoting for banned animal testing cosmetics and being sold in EU which doesn’t include only make-up but also products like shampoo, toothpaste, and hand soap with the new ingredients for this type of products. However, during this campaign, there still lots of product that are being used on an animals body and sale in EU. This is because many brands were tested their cosmetic product abroad then bring back into EU country through cruelty-free testing of EU.

Unfortunately, the angle of a cosmetic brand called “The Body Shop” has created up the biggest global campaign to end animal testing in cosmetics.

During this campaign, The Body Shop has promoted this campaign to end animal testing in cosmetics forever by letting our customer share their photos on Twitter and Instagram with #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting, mentioning us with @thebodyshop and their photo could appear in our gallery! Unfortunately, The Body Shop was successful and able to gathered 8 million customer’s signatures that use our service and support our decisions. In addition, from this campaign, it creates a huge advantage effect for this brand by boosted up their revenue to reach out more than 10 million dollars within few years.

Usually I wouldn’t post it here but, the conditions of animals in laboratories (& thus, testing on animals) is really something I care about.

There’s already a European ban but, now, The Body Shop & Cruelty Free International launched a campaign : Forever Against Animal Testing, to ban it worldwide. In order to do it, they want to present this petition to the UN general assembly in 2018 so if you want to sign it and/or share it, it would be great for all these animals. You can find the petition on the body shop website (here, I finally took the time to put here the link ^^)

And soon there will be new pictures of Shiva, I’m just being busy trying not to fail completely my exams

🛀I just had literally the most heavenly shower ever.
