O trio de rock instrumental Macaco Bong lança o disco Live Garage. Com apenas 5 músicas, mas 40 min de duração, a banda se reinventou em um trabalho que traz influências de metal e riffs intensos. As faixas do disco formam uma história “sem fim”, prendendo o ouvinte em cada segundo e o levando em uma aventura hipnotizante. Para o fundador e guitarrista Bruno Kayapy, o grande diferencial desse álbum é a intensidade da energia crua do trio, que foi conservada na gravação. Não se trata exatamente de um álbum ao vivo com um público presente, mas a banda buscava traduzir a mesma energia presente nas suas performances: “Ao longo de quase duas décadas de banda, comecei a perceber melhor esse feedback de como o nosso show é absurdamente superior a gravação que se ouve nos discos! A experiência de estar presente no show do Macaco Bong é totalmente diferente da experiência de ouvir um disco. A dupla The Puro, formada por Noel Hogan (co-fundador, guitarrista e compositor do The Cranberries) e a cantora brasileira Mell Peck, lança seu primeiro EP: “Law of Return”. A colaboração entre os dois surgiu depois que Noel descobriu covers de Mell no YouTube em 2019, por indicação de várias pessoas que recomendaram o trabalho da cantora. Mell, que hoje mora em Porto Alegre, explica: "Nós nos conhecemos e nas conversas surgiu a ideia de compor juntos. Desde então, nós não paramos, e as ideias estão sempre vindo". Os dois trabalham a distância, e com ajuda de tradutores, já que Mell não fala inglês fluente. OUÇA AGORA O EP "LAW OF RETURN" Depois de dois anos de colaboração, o projeto teve seu início neste ano com 2 singles que haviam sido lançados previamente: “Goodbye” e “Prison”, que ganhou também uma versão em português. Agora, nesse EP novo, Noel e Mell continuam a definir o som único do The Puro em 3 músicas inéditas, disponíveis tanto em português como inglês. Os vocais potentes e letras etéreas de Mell são conduzidos pelos arranjos marcantes de Noel, criando uma experiência catártica única. Como destaque, a faixa título, “Law of Return”, (ou “Lei do Retorno”), foi a primeira música que Noel escreveu no piano. “Eu não quis usar nenhuma guitarra, para ver se me faria escrever de um jeito diferente.
