Francois de Troy (b.1645 - d.1730), 'Portrait of a Couple as Venus and Paris', oil on canvas, c.1691, French, currently in the collection of the Louvre, Paris, France.
Various suggestions of the possible sitters includes Francois Marie de Bourbon (b.1677 - d.1749) and her brother Louis Alexandre de Bourbon, Count of Toulouse (b.1678 - d.1737), as Vertumnus and Pomona; later, it was suggested that the sitters may be Louis Auguste de Bourbon, Duke of Maine (b.1670 - d.1743), and his sister Louise Francoise de Bourbon (b.1673 - d.1743), as Paris and Venus.
