Merry Frandzgiving Folx, Frandz, and Fam! This is a strange update to write as it is Thanksgiving in the US and for me, I’ve just begun a low dose of chemotherapy. During the infusion has been more difficult than the side-effects have presented afterword and I’m in good spirits overall. My stress and concern are sourced entirely in the fact that the bills are piling up. The bimonthly chemotherapy is over $220 with just as much owed for the ER visits and abdominal surgery in August/September. By the end of the month of December, I need to produce at least $560 in medical costs just for my current treatments. Being unable to adapt to the sudden financial burden has become a large anxiety point as I’ve needed to scale down my behavioral medication out of risk of Serotonin Syndrome developing should I continue said medication while I’m on chemo. Anything that folx can spare, any moment folx can share, it helps so much. My partner and I have set up a GoFundMe to help with the upcoming costs with Ko-Fi as a more direct backup.
