Wombat berry or Yuki (traditional name given to the plant by the Dhurga people of the far south coast of NSW) occurs in sclerophyll forest, woodland, heath, gallery forest and on margins of rainforest. Uses include: 🍒Food: Fruit -  When split, the yellow berries contain a small amount of crisp,white flesh surrounding the black seed. This fleshy pulp is similar to coconut in taste. Tuber -  The roots develop into 1-3cm long tubers which are sweet and juicy and can be eaten raw or roasted. In times of drought the tubers become shrivelled.
