We assume that the first portion of Trump's remarks were much more scripted. Certainly, that's where the "unity" stuff was. But after that, when he began freestyling (we assume), the unity theme vanished and it was grievance after grievance after grievance. As we have pointed out numerous times in these convention write-ups, Trump might be well served by trying to moderate his message and his style, but he just can't do it. That runs fundamentally counter to who he is. Imagine Richard Nixon trying to reinvent himself as Jimmy Carter, and maybe that helps illuminate the problem.

SDC 5 FINALE CANDIES 🍭🍬
Tumblr media
After that fun and tiring SDC finale, it’s time to sit back and enjoy some good old cpn. As always, only for turtles and it’s okay if you don’t believe any of it. It’s not real. this is not all inclusive, i put in ones that are being talked about and a few ones that I enjoyed.
I already made a small post about Web’s apple watch and the cpn here.
Now let’s move on to the others ones.
1. Earlier in the day 10/29, It was announced that Yibo’s solo stage will be called One Love. I can’t help but link this to Guangdian’s lyric with — We are made to Love. They are both so connected to the idea of LOVE, may that be romantic or not. This is why they get along well, having the same value, having so much love to give to the people around them even to those who don’t deserve it sometimes. They are such precious boys. 🤍 Another one is it was posted that he sent egg tarts for people to taste, same with ZZ who loves to give treats to cast and crew.
2. THE UTTER SEXINESS OF 🦴 NECKLACE being displayed on his neck like that. He’s always showing off isn’t he? the relationship is stable. He also matched it with a pair of skeleton shoes. His whole outfit is also giving us flashbacks of the last event they attended together — weibo night. Little Prince in Blue.
Tumblr media
3. Not really CPN, but just all the BXG related IDs/ profile photos sending love in the live broadcast! 🥳There are other incidents/moments related to BXGs during the show but that will require another post. Lol.
Tumblr media
4. Same gesture of fiddling with their rings; but this us actually more sus with XZ because Web can’t sit still and has to do or touch something. Also it’s funny that the night before we were clowning about his apple watch and his ending pose for the freestyle today is him looking at his watch. Funny how these things work. How many coincidences do we need? Lol.
Tumblr media
5. His final outfit with all the Stars in it reminds of GG’s outfit before — but the boy had to take it further and wear star pants too 😂 Yes, we know Yibo, you love stars. You are the lonely star. You are the brightest star in the night Sky for XZ.
Tumblr media
6. Unity, Peace, Love and Having Fun! Yibo’s One Love message was so positive. I think he truly believes it tho, he’s not just someone who preaches it cause it will make him look better. Some gestures observed by fans is 5 2 0 which is kadian for I LOVE YOU. He truly loves his Kadian.
Tumblr media
The message is also about the true Hip-Hop, it usually gets a bad rep, even street dance. Bobo said that before his parents don’t want him to take part in street dance because they see it as negative. I think this is why Yibo did this stage — and why he is so passionate about promoting it. He wants people to change their perception and appreciate it. ✌🏼
Tumblr media
7. I don’t know what to think about this but at the start of Bobo’s stage, a red screen flashed. I mean, 99.9% it’s a glitch but clowns like us were surprised. Out of all the colors, RED? XZ’s color?
FINALLY, let’s talk about his solo stage “One Love” and what we think it could mean. 🏳️‍🌈
Again. This is speculation, that it could be related to it and we don’t know if he saw it and the slogan resonated with him.
It’s called One Love Campaign, which has been making news since it’s connected to FIFA 2022.
The initiative, created by the Netherlands, will also be supported by Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales aiming to "send a message against discrimination of any kind as the eyes of the world fall on the global game,"
Qatar was a hugely controversial choice for the finals when it was awarded the 2022 tournament 12 years ago, not least because same sex activity is a criminal offence there with the possibility of a prison sentence of one to three years for adults convicted of consensual gay or lesbian sex. There is no recognition of civil partnerships in the Gulf state, which does not allow people to campaign for LGBT+ rights.
Whether you CPN, BJYX or SZD, I think the thought of Bobo showing some support for the LGBT community is a positive more than a negative. Yibo always had progressive ideas despite all the setbacks and this shouldn’t even be a long shot possibility. This is why a lot of us like him, it’s because he is accepting of everyone. He has so much empathy in him despite the ice prince persona.
Also a coincidence, 10/29 is the day of Taiwan’s Pride March. Then he performs something with this title. I wouldn’t put it past him because last year’s was a clever title wordplay.
Tumblr media
If there will be additional “important” discoveries, I will make a separate post. ✌🏼
-END.

If you're still doing the character ask, please: Fingolfin
Character Ask Game 💚🤍🖤
I am always up for asks! Thank you @melestasflight, Fingolfin was very fun to tackle!
Give me a character and I will give you my thoughts on
Fingolfin
one aspect about them i love
Leading several thousand people across a desolate wasteland after cutting ties with their deities is THE most insane thing anyone does in the Silmarillion. This is true, and every time I remember Araman is right there as an option it makes me insane.
He is the single most interesting leader in this whole book for that. I don’t think it can be overestimate what a feat of every kind of resources it is. The commitment it takes, the huge amount of - even social control you need to have, to keep so many people united to the same goal, when the goal means fighting another worse deity, and vengeance, and sublimating the grief of the many partings and direct religious trauma while surviving the Arctic and facing constant privation?
In a way it’s a good thing everyone is busy creating steel-strong community concepts while on the Ice, because otherwise it would be a gigantic nightmare to deal with that fallout. The fact that he maintains the Flight of the Noldor as a Chase of Morgoth, creating unity and a shared ideal to maintain - the fact that his host only splinters under Turgon’s direction? Insane.
one aspect i wish more people understood about them
It is not even so much about Finwë, although of course it is also about Finwë.
Being ambitious is not a crime! It is however a strong character trait, and a way to define one’s life when it’s very existence is a cause of philosophical debate.
But politics, governing, those are Fingolfin’s true crafts, and Fëanor insisting on being always a step up on the dias and above him is maddening, and to a point feels like he is outright trying to stifle his calling on purpose.
Which he is, although perhaps not in a would-steal-your-forge-along- with-father’s-favoritism way. Not sure Fëanor cares to conceptualize leadership in such a crafting-equivalent way.
This may be more suited to headcanons, but I do think the idea that a social role can have such a strong impetus, even spiritual value to someone is mostly Vanyar, and having no material evidence of work, doesn’t fit so well in the Noldor’s material culture point of view about singular purpose.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character
Big tea drinker. Not much of a musician. Loves cool tones (Indis sorrows for the adorable emerald green and amethyst-bright onesies he refused to wear). Also a smith, as all Noldor princes are, but his interests are tied to infrastructures - steam-energy mostly, awfully boring stuff for most. Runs life according to a constantly updated list of priorities in his mind, that include meal times, coups, trips with each of their kids, divorce settlement negotiations with Anairë, etc.
This made him the logistics genius the host in the Ice needed, and was in fact the kind of basilar confidence that led him to it - among other things, I'm sure he studied the journey to Valinor extensively. He knew it would be incredibly difficult in their circumstances, that many would not survive, that the loss would change them utterly; but he also knew it was not impossible, and therefore it ought to be made possible.
His confidence in himself in never entirely wrong, but sometimes misjudged; he knew exactly he would be able to land up to five wounds on Morgoth. The last two were a freestyle bonus :/
as well as
one character i love seeing them interact with
Fingon! Father and son, king and heir, bright flare of despair and the inheritor of hope - they are foils, they are parallels, and they are painfully, painfully aware of it. Would love to read a JSTOR article comparing their rules, up to the yearly tax reports.
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more
Lalwen (not a surprise!). The sort of loyalty involved is so interesting to me, but also the true that has to be based off true understanding and belief. They’re each other’s ride or die, and the idea of generally very magnificent and polis-minded Fingolfin being bffs with his irreverent younger sister is very amusing and fascinating.
(Also Turgon! Turgon and his disappearing act - well. He kind of commited treason, in a way? Treason-ish. It’s certainly a very pointed denial of Fingolfin’s direct authority, that’s for sure. Like. I crack up every time I think about this. Turgon must have been a nightmarish teenager, he’s very much like his father.)
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character
Had a hard time connecting with Finarfin. They enjoyed each other’s company, mostly! Had a very clear understanding of who the other one is, which was even about 60% correct.
But the spark just isn’t there, and later on that’s something he grieves as much as Fëanor’s whole business. In part because idealized memories of Finarfin’s restful diplomacy are a succor in Beleriand, and in part because he has moments of clarity with some foresight, and sees Finarfin in a position of commander against Morgoth against his own.
That’s part of his despair - he thinks the war against Morgoth will go so badly it will be taken up against the elves of Amanyar in their own terrain, that all the efforts of guarding and defending in defiance will be for nothing, and even fair Valinor will perish with only Indis’ son to defend the Noldor.
This - is not correct. Finarfin fully takes the hosts of Valinor to Beleriand; but part of Morgoth’s power in battle is to take one’s worst fears and inflate them with the force of his own undeniable might. It gets him one dead Noldorin king, but also several painful scars, so really it’s a toss up on how well that works for him.

Unleashing the Beat: Exploring the Essence of Hip-Hop Dance Style
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Welcome to our blog, where we delve into the dynamic world of dance and its various genres. In this post, we embark on an exhilarating journey to explore the essence of hip-hop dance style. From its humble origins in the streets to its widespread global influence, we unravel the vibrant energy, creativity, and cultural significance that define hip-hop dance. Get ready to groove, pop, and lock as we break down the fundamentals and celebrate the spirit of this captivating dance form.
1. Roots and Evolution:
Hip-hop dance style emerged during the 1970s in the South Bronx, New York City, as a dynamic expression of the African American and Latino communities. It grew alongside the genre of hip-hop music, and both mutually influenced each other's development. From its roots in street battles and block parties, hip-hop dance has evolved into a worldwide phenomenon, encompassing a wide range of styles and influences.
2. Elements and Techniques:
Hip-hop dance encompasses a diverse set of styles and techniques, each with its own unique flavor. Some of the core elements include:
a. Breaking/B-boying:
Characterized by acrobatic moves, intricate footwork, and floor-based routines, breaking showcases athleticism, creativity, and physical prowess.
b. Popping:
Known for its isolations, quick contractions, and robotic movements, popping focuses on creating sharp, precise hits and pops in sync with the music.
c. Locking:
A high-energy style featuring exaggerated movements, distinct poses, and playful interactions with the audience, locking emphasizes funkiness and infectious groove.
d. Krumping:
Originating from Los Angeles, krumping is an intense and expressive style characterized by fast, aggressive movements, powerful stomps, and freestyle battles.
e. Freestyle and Improvisation:
A fundamental aspect of hip-hop dance is the freedom to improvise and create one's own movements, allowing individual expression and storytelling through dance.
3. Musicality and Interpretation:
One of the defining features of hip-hop dance is its deep connection to music. Hip-hop dancers embrace the rhythmic beats, syncopations, and lyrics, using them as a foundation to interpret the music through their movements. Musicality plays a crucial role in expressing the nuances of the music, creating an immersive and engaging performance.
4. Cultural Significance:
Hip-hop dance style extends beyond the dance floor and serves as a powerful form of cultural expression. It reflects the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of marginalized communities, providing a platform for self-expression, storytelling, and social commentary. Hip-hop dance has fostered a sense of community, empowerment, and unity among its practitioners, transcending barriers and inspiring generations.
5. Influence and Global Reach:
Hip-hop dance style has transcended borders and cultures, spreading its influence across the globe. Its energetic and dynamic nature has captured the attention of dancers and enthusiasts worldwide, leading to the emergence of local interpretations and fusions with other dance forms. Hip-hop dance competitions, workshops, and performances have become integral components of the global dance scene, fostering creativity and cross-cultural exchange.
Conclusion:
Hip-hop dance style is a testament to the power of movement, rhythm, and self-expression. From its humble beginnings in the streets of the Bronx, it has evolved into a global phenomenon, captivating audiences and inspiring dancers of all backgrounds. With its diverse styles, creative interpretations, and cultural significance, hip-hop dance continues to push boundaries and redefine the art of dance. So, put on your dancing shoes, embrace the beat, and join the vibrant world of hip-hop dance—a celebration of rhythm, passion, and unbridled expression.

amity angst
(right after day of unity)
TW: nightmares, bit of panic attack.)
Nightmares came easy to the youngest blight, there would be days where she would wake up in a pool of her own cold sweat and uneven breathing at 4 am. This nightmare, took her by surprise, she landed in the demon realm, by herself and all she saw was everyone gone. she was left alone. She ran and she ran, and she ran. Nobody was in sight. Eventually she came across, Belos, as he had mocked her and drew out his "goo sword"(idk what it's called) And she woke up, making a small little yelp, trying to no wake anyone up, but she was shaking and her breathing was uneven, she got up and stumbled her way to the bathroom, but, she woke up Luz.
At first she had thought "Oh, she's probably grabbing a glass of water." She tried to fall back asleep, but when the young blight came back in her breathing was still uneven, her hands are still shaky, a few tears running down her face. her hand was over her mouth so she wouldn't wake anyone. But the Human turned around and as they made eye contact, Luz looked worried and confused, she had never seen Amity cry like that. Amity, apologizing and trying to hide her hands and quickly wiping her tears. "Your awake. I'm sorry, i didn't mean to." "Ams, what's wrong?" Amity then quickly said nothing and looked down. it was silent for a bit, only other thing you could hear were Willows soft snores. Amity had then walked back to her bed.
"Amity, what's wrong? you can tell me." Luz sounded worried, as she wanted to help her girlfriend. Amity started caving in. "Just a bad dream. I get them all the time though so it's not a big deal." " I don't know what's wrong with me." Luz was quick to reply at that last statement. "Nothing Ams, you see the most beautiful and perfect girl in the world" (stfu im corny 😪) Amity sat there, shocked. She had started to take things all in proportion. Her siblings, Her father, Her home. Luz could read the look on her face and got up and got on her bed to hug her. She didn't want to push too far, if Amity was gonna tell her, she would. Amity sat there breathing uneven and hands still shaky. Luz then showed up four of her fingers and used her other hand to hold Amity's.
"its okay Ams, im right here." and after about 5 minutes Amity calmed down. "I'm sorry Luz, I really didn't mean to wake you." Luz cut her off and said "How long have you been having these." " a few weeks." "Oh Ams, you can always talk to me, you know that right?" "yes i do. thank you." Luz was now in her normal self "Great, because now i am too tired to get up, so im staying here" Amity's heart race doubled. her face beet red, she made a squeaked approving noise and there they slept, hands interlocked in eachothers embrace. That has got to be the best sleep the either of them had gotten in awhile.
a/n: i was planning to write this but the last bit where i was corny was me freestyling. I'm going to write Luz angst next and then some Hunter or Gus angst, i will not dare write angst about willow i love her too much 😍
