Billy wrapping his arm around Steve’s shoulders to pull him in close, his tongue sticking out with a grin, and Steve would turn his head to pout before sticking out his own tongue at him

Billy snapping his towel at Steve’s ass in the locker room showers with a smirk as Steve shouts his name in anger

pushing each other into lockers playfully with matching grins on their faces

sharing/stealing each other’s food in the cafeteria at lunch, and depending on what’s being stolen, they’ll either complain or just let it happen

skipping class to go get high in Steve’s car, going back into the school giggling together with bloodshot eyes

Billy finally making a real connection with a boy his age while Steve makes a real friend that isn’t younger than him and bound by trauma

i just would’ve loved to have seen the casual touches and playful behaviour they would’ve had once they were comfortable together

also, they make out when they’re drunk. it started with a little peck as a dare, but Billy’s eyes were too intense and Steve was weak to them so he kissed him again, until Billy was coaxing his tongue into his mouth and that was all it took for them to continue

Nyen didn't respond. Maybe he doesn't know. Why didn't he killed you? This is pretty rare of Nyen. Really rare actually and you're taking the opportunity to tease him, "Aww~ is the tom cat going soft for a little ol' me the rat?~" in a mocking baby voice.

"Shut up." He demands. He glared at you for a moment before going back to read. You laugh at him before you quiet down. You both sit around in silence for a while before you got tired and bored. You tried to turn back to crawl away but Nyen stopped you, "Why don't you just be with us?" This question made you physically stopped. "...What do you mean? I'm already part of the house!" you tried to joke it off.

"I mean, being one of the pets," he offered like it was possible. You sigh and look down at Nyen from the ceiling hole. "You know that's not possible, love." You lean down carefully to do an eskimo kiss(nose rub) to him as comfort. "Your master will never accept me as a pet. Maybe the kid with glasses will but I'm sure you don't want that," you rationalise with him. Nyen nods in disappointment.

You glance behind you back into the ceiling hole and gave Nyen one last kiss to the cheek. "I have to go now. I'll see you later. Our food are running out so I'm sure he'll attempt to get food from your fridge. I know you're still a cat but still, hold back a little will ya?" Nyen chuckles, "No promises."

When he opens his eyes, Kazuha doesn't see the sunlight as it cascades over the landscape like a golden tsunami. Neither does he see the rich red hues of the maple leaves surrendering themselves to the wind- a sign that autumn was finally in full swing and winter would be fast approaching.

When he opens his eyes, Kazuha sees you.

Bounding up the hill with that bright, effervescent smile plastered upon your face. The red of your haori matches the flush on your cheeks.

It's like a picture straight from a fairytale, he thinks. You're running towards him, hair askew and fabrics in disarray while calling his name. His heart pitter-patters in his chest like a Taiko drum.

He might be a young, but even he knows what he feels for you isn't completely platonic.

"Kazuha, I've been looking for you!" His name has never sounded so sweet. When it falls from your lips weaved in between your melodious chortles, Kazuha can't help but want everything else in the world to fade away until there's only you.

He chuckles, scooting on the rock to allow you room to sit. "I'm afraid there's nowhere I can hide if it's you that's looking for me."

That's right. Even in a game of hide-and-seek, you will always manage to sniff him out- perhaps it's a sixth sense you've developed after being friends for so long. What with how often the boy tends to wander off without telling anyone, you tend to just gravitate to where he is.

"That's right. You're pretty bad at hiding." You grin, plopping down next to him with a tired sigh. For a moment, the two of you bask in the idyllic scenery before you speak. "Father told me to invite you and your parents over for dinner next week."

You've been friends for years. It wasn't uncommon for both families to meet up once and a while for dinner.

"We'll be there." Kazuha says despite the odd twisting feeling in his gut.
