Frozen What-If: Part 5 - Torrent
The first question is how is Anna one of the six? She always had this power, but the accident happened. Unbeknownst to both, Elsa locked off Anna's connection to the Water element.
That connection was slowly coming back, then all the later events & the Dark returning, brought that connection back faster. Itri met Elsa, they went to Anna, and then they meet up with the other 3. There's not much time for Anna to get used to her power, so training had to be done quick. Itri used blue flames to help her trigger her powers out of fear & remember that feeling. It worked, Anna was pissed off, fought like crazy, training was done for the day, Itri gave advice on not letting anger blind her, and...Anna gave Itri a hard slap to the face.
At nightfall, Itri tells everyone the origins of The Dark:
Before life, there were two beings, Light & Dark. Light later created Fire, Water, Air & Earth, co-existing with all life. Lighting was created as well, and that one was the Roman God Jupiter, he helped look over humanity. The Dark was jealous, it was the one that didn't co-exist with all life, due to never being a positive aspect of life, only the opposite(pain, fear, guilt, etc). So it vowed to wipe out life, while only darkness remained. The Light sealed the Dark, at the cost of dying. Jupiter decided to look over one kingdom, Jove. Until The Dark returned the first time.
So only the 6, the remnants of Light, can defeat the Dark, permanently. Which wasnt the case during the war where just Fire, Earth & Lightning were present. And Elsa is new to that equation.
The next day, Elsa explained the Elemental Spirts to the others. Itri & Iwa met the Fire & Earth Elemental Spirits, without having to go back to the Enchanted Forest. Halim already met the Wind Spirit & Leon already met Jupiter. Anna's Spiritual Revelation happened faster than the others(hers wouldn't be any different from Elsa's).
The Dark emerged the day after. Aimed to destroy Perchtia first & attempted to distract them but the team split up. With Itri, Halim & Elsa going to the first source of darkness. Leon, Iwa & Anna went to Perchtia, and the Spirts remained in the Enchanted Forest, just in case. Itri had a feeling the Dark would try to get to their heads by making them face dark versions of themselves that symbolized what they used to be. Itris was right, they won, and quickly regrouped with the others.
The six fought, but later were outmatched. With Itri & Elsa taking the worst hits. All seemed lost, but a glimmer of light appeared. The six are all in that same Spiritual Revelation realm. It turns out the Light is in all six(Itris saw a bit of white flames back when he defeated Aladheid, before it went purple) & they all need to one with themselves. Itri was the only one that wasnt, because he blamed himself for the Dark returning when it did, and carried the burden of defeating it, alone. And trying to handle things alone is something Elsa knows too well.
To be Concluded in the finale, Pt.6 - Remnants Of Light

Inktober 2022 day 17 🌊 "Salty"
Elsa coughed loudly as she reached the shore for what felt like the hundredth time, her whole body weak and heavy. As she crumbled to her knees and rolled to drop her back on the pebbles, she realized that it likely was literally the hundredth time.
With a groan, though it was smaller than she meant due to her exhaustion, she passed a hand over her face. She breathed out in her palm, then peeked at the sky between her fingers.
Despite the thickness of the Mist, she could see that the Sun had been up for a long time. She definitely spent hours trying to reach Ahtohallan night then day, and kept failing.
Elsa sighed and dropped her hand on the pebbles next to her hip, her chest still waving from her labored breathing. She was the athletic type, she discovered through the years after the Great Thaw, but never did she face such a challenge. The Water Spirit was incredibly powerful.
"Damn Dark Sea." She muttered under her breath, trying not to be disrespectful to the beautiful Nature she recently discovered. As well as to the magical being whom she genuinely admired, despite being literally washed away multiple times.
'He's more powerful than me, that's all. He has more experience...' Elsa mused, trying to keep rational thoughts to not wince and whimper like she did through her tries earlier.
She breathed several times until her drumming heart calmed down, and looked at the sky above.
The Mist. She had to act. She had to play her part. With a grunt, she sat up, and wiped her mouth both in determination and to erase the salty taste on her lips.
Right when she crouched and was about to stand up though, she heard upcoming noises on her left. She jolted her head and widened her eyes when she saw Anna and Olaf walking toward her.
"Anna? But..." Muttered the Snow Queen, and she shrieked when her sister grabbed a handful of pebbles from the ground and threw them at her.
Thankfully, she didn't actually meant to hurt her and rather to startle her, so they dropped fast and only touched her thighs.
"You... IDIOT!!" Yelled Anna, and she walked fast to shorten the space between them. "HOW DARE YOU!!"
Elsa widened her eyes. This was everything she hoped wouldn't happen. For Anna to be there and risk her life whereas she did her best to push her away for safety, and for her dear sister to yell angrily at her.
"What are you doing here?" Couldn't help but ask the elder, and Anna scoffed at her scolding tone. She stopped a few meters away from her, stunned by her nerve, her hands on her hips.
Just then, Elsa realized that Anna's hair was wavy, like she had been underwater like her. She frowned, but her eyes snapped wide again when the redhead pointed a furious accusative finger.
"I escaped from YOUR stupid plan!"
Elsa frowned, then retorted.
"I did that for your safety! And-- I'm sorry, but what happened?" She worried when she realized that Anna's whole clothing was in fact wet, and her coat was missing.
"We faced Giants in a river, that's what happened. Oh, and we spent most of the night in a cave, thank you very much. You're lucky Olaf found a way out." Growled Anna, furious.
Elsa missed a heartbeat, but then frowned, her hurt soul switching to confusion. "A cave? But I traced a path for the canoe. It led you straight to the Northuldra camp."
"Well, Anna diverted the canoe." Shrugged Olaf.
"You what?" Gasped Elsa. "Anna, it could have been deadly!!"
Her remark only accentuated the redhead's rage. "And what you did isn't?? You went to Ahtohallan on your own!"
There was a silence as both sisters panted, and Anna realized Elsa's current outfit as well as her state. She then frowned. "Wait... You did, didn't you?"
Her voice was more gentle, despite still looking angry. Elsa sighed.
"Well, about that..."

she says he won't let her get a dog, which is fine, because they're in an apartment, and that's the kind of thing people say about their partners. he won't let me get a dog. and you're at a dinner party and you tilt your head a little to the side just like that dog he won't let her get, because is this the thing that's going to upset you? you don't know every corner of their relationship, she could be joking, they could have had so many healthy conversations about the dog, right, and maybe she's not letting herself get the dog because of money and time and whatever. but, like, she did say let
and she wants to move away from his hometown and he wants to stay and then he tells you with a wink and a conspiratorial stage whisper don't worry i'll convince her and she laughs about it - so clearly this is something they laugh about. but you do just stand there and stare at him like what the fuck, man. you can't say what you want to say which is why do you get the final say on everything because they're both obviously aware of the other person's stance on this and have obviously had private conversations about it and what are you going to do about it except make a scene and then he'll be mad at you and call you one of those bitches behind your back and she'll cut you off, which is a loss that doesn't feel worth it just because he makes you a little skeeved out every 3rd comment
and they both agree he just isn't the type to get flowers which is fine because everyone shows love differently, and are you really gonna judge someone based on their sense of individual relationship responsibility? maybe he's constantly cleaning her car and writing her poems and making her furniture or something. maybe she doesn't even like flowers and this is perfect, actually. and no you couldn't date him, obviously, ew; but like, she tells you she's happy. you almost send her a tiktok that says don't be 25 and the cool girl that doesn't need anything, you'll hate not getting flowers at 30, but that's like, starting drama & you shouldn't start drama needlessly.
and you're a little older than her but not so much older you can pull the whole trust me on this one babe thing and besides that wouldn't have worked anyway (when does it ever) and besides you have trauma so you and your therapist both agree that you're always looking for a problem even when there isn't one. and you tell yourself that just because you see them for 15 minutes every month does not mean you can identify every single red flag based on a single shitty half-joking(?) comment
and besides, what are you going to do? she says i actually wanted another stand mixer but thankfully he stops me when i'm about to spend too much money and you're standing there like are you okay? is this normal? is this just something people say? and again - what are you going to do?
to your therapist you try to language it - it's not, like, any of my business. but sometimes, doesn't it feel like - you should do something. there's got to be something, right? you've tried dropping little hints but they sail right through and you've tried having a single serious conversation and she got upset because why does it matter to you, yes it's different but we're happy, it doesn't need to make sense to you and you're like. really unwilling to push a boundary about it anymore; because the truth is that you know logically it shouldn't matter to you, as long as both parties are happy.
and besides, you've been wrong before. it's just... like, every time you see them both, something else happens, some kind of shiver down your spine like do you even hear each other when you talk. it's their strange, bickering orbit. just the way he's on his phone through dinner or watching sports instead of helping in the kitchen or, fuck, another one of these little throwaway comments he makes about we'll see about that, babe. she laughs when he calls her passions stupid shit and meanwhile she gets him tickets to see the knicks and he tells you well at least she's smart about something and still! it's none of your business.
you say get the dog anyway and she laughs. like, this is is you being funny. and not you saying - no really. get the dog. get the dog and get out of here. pack up and start running.

For Bai He I think it make lot more sense if she be more close to SWK than Macaque because they share the same trauma that is getting possessed by LBD (and because I think Macaque would be shit parent figure). But what if she be close to SWK for also other reason? What if when she was possessed by LBD, she feel like she trapped in her own body and feel like only way to be free is to be killed.....
She need SWK to say yes so she can feel safe knowing there is way she can be free if LBD ever come back.....
(IDK if what I say makes sense or not and I'm sorry if I don't)
