It’s time to “Let it Go” this Spring!

Believe in Books Youth Theatre (BIBYT) is proud to announce their Spring Production: Disney’s Frozen JR.  This will be the fourth production to come from Director Nate Sawyer and the BIBYT.  Set to premiere in early June, BIBYT will be the first youth theater in the Mt. Washington Valley area to showcase this enchanting modern classic from Disney. Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus new songs written for the Broadway production. A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart! Auditions will be held at the Theater in the Wood on Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday March 27th at 6:00 pm for kids between the ages of 7 and 18 years old.  Rehearsals will take place throughout April and May with the show to premiere in early June. I'm Heartbroken, my little brothers schools production of Frozenjr was just officially canceled because of quarantine. He was going to play Sven. It was also the first production I choreographed. I'm so upset, and I know my kiddos must be heartbroken as well, we've all worked to hard.

Here's my lil bro in the costume we made,, taken during dress rehearsal just 1 week before we were supposed to open, before all this covid 19 stuff happened.

Auditions for Frozen Jr. to be held January 15-16

Frozen Jr. is open for auditioners grades 6-9. Auditions will be held January 15 from 4:00-6:00pm and January 16 from 4:00-5:30pm. Callbacks will be held on January 17 at 4:00pm.

Please plan to attend one audition time and one dance call. You do NOT need to be a great dancer to be part of this show. Most roles will not require major dance.

You will need to only sing 1 minute of a song, and a pianist will be available. You may sing acapella however, we do suggest singing with the piano. It can be any song you like and know. You should sing it memorized, but if you need a sheet with words to be comfortable – please use the sheet.

All students must complete the audition card below to be considered for casting. Failure to fill this form out will result in you not being cast. (I know this may sound harsh, but due to past tracking down of this information weeks after the fact, we believe that it is the responsibility of the auditioner to follow the audition requirements in order to be considered for casting.)
