disclaimer my hair’s always grown really long and ive always just been the shampoo & conditioner kind so idk if im the right person to ask but since i started bleaching the fawk out of it i use olaplex no3 or k18 conditioner (used as a pre-wash 30ish min mask) once a week to keep it from breaking off. I’ve also been putting oil (literally a whatever garnier fructis fuckass cheap hair oil but it works so well) on the lengths/ends twice a day which keeps it from having the straw texture bleached hair loves to have & other than that i haven’t really used anything that id say has shown me different results that normal.. but id for sure recommend getting into bond preserving hair care (eg k18 or olaplex, or ive seen a bunch more affordable options at the stores lately too i just haven’t tried them myself) bc breakage is usually the main cause of being unable to grow ur hair long. good luck i am wishing you the most rapunzel hair ever 💖

here's some lore i've thought up:

sleeps in an icy room. like frigid, freezing, subzero. you don't know if it's because he's so used to the ice or what, but that's the only way he can sleep. so if you're not down with it, he gets you a heated blanket and lets you snuggle, but that's the only thing he doesn't give into you with. the room has to have icicles coming out of the vent.

for personality, i picture like michael kelso meets phil dunphy with a little grit to him... on the outside. absolute angel, ball of sunshine. the term golden retriever boyfriend was made to describe him and him only. energetic, happy, chaotic, and sweet.

with that, he has the worst adhd. like can no fucking sit still, talking all the time, fidgeting- he just wants to go 24/7. has to be occupied or he'll find something to occupy himself with. you're so confused how he's never tired because he just gos all the time.

he hates styling his hair. loves it long but gets the worst helmet hair and it gets so fucking tangled. usually he'll just yank a brush through it and use some fructis frizz serum (an ex girl hooked him on lmao) on it to get it to not look so puffy. an absolute sucker if you style his hair- brush it out, detangle it gently, anything. he will melt in your hands.

definitely did not ever see him having kids, because he never saw himself retiring lol. then one day he sees you maybe teaching a class or sees like a mom in a movie, and he's like "yeah, i want that too" and it's all he thinks about. doesn't ever tell you until much much later.
