It is currently impossible to distinguish between reality and parody at this point in time, but this is, as far as I can tell, no joke. Last week, the major cosmetics company Ulta Beauty, whose customer base is almost entirely women, decided to host a conversation between two males—David Lopezz and Dylan Mulvaney—to discuss their “girlhood.”
Yes, girlhood, not womanhood.
Mulvaney, who only “came out” as trans less than six months ago on TikTok, now spends his time mocking and belittling women for a living. While most people with common sense can tell he is simply leaning into a viral character he created, gender ideology doesn’t allow its adherents to question Mulvaney’s authenticity. Instead, they’re forced to not only accept this person’s act as his true self, but actively celebrate it. And this doctrinal celebration even resulted in Mulvaney being invited to the White House to meet President Joe Biden.
I cannot imagine how any actual woman could not be offended by this man in womanface speaking on their behalf.

Weird choice to alienate your entire customer base by getting two grown adult men, who’ve never been girls, to talk about what it’s like to be a girl by behaving like the most clownish caricature, a ridiculous womanface winstrel show. 🤡
Since it’s clear this is just a Halloween costume (and a paycheck) to him, if they’d wanted the irony of men pretending to know what being a girl is like, Dame Edna Everage, Nick Kroll and Madea would have been much better choices. At least their performances are nuanced... comparatively.
