Why is the telegraph so fucking stupid?

Sure, a Christian country is no place for Christians.

Obviously, any progress in the religion or acknowledgement of outside factors (eg climate change) is not Christian. And preventing people from harassing and upsetting others is obviously un-Christian

Reminder that the Telegraph, or as people in my demographic call it the Torygraph, is a fucking morally bankrupt paper. The fact that they are blaming the Democrats sowing division for Trump rather then blaming the people who actually were sowing division, promoting hatred across racial, sexual and gender lines, shows that they don't really care who is to blame. They want to present the Left as the divisive people.

But the Telegraph is one of the big British papers for pushing the same sorts of hatred that gave rise to Trump to the US. So if the reporters there want to find the people responsible for Trump they should look around their offices.

it comes to this, after the Telegraph (British right wing mainstream newspaper) published an article trying to imply the metropolitan police were calling chest binding for trans kids "child abuse" - based on a statement about "chest ironing" (an actual abusive practice) - so the Met had to issue a statement explaining the difference and claiming they support trans people (which is a laugh, the met are appalling)

Really into the idea of Astarion being so taken with Tav/Durge before the Act 2 confession scene, but not knowing how to express it outside of sex because that’s all he knows, and for once in his life something that was synonymous with humiliation and entrapment and violence feels so strangely different in a good way, but he wants to try to figure out how else to express it, he just doesn’t know where to start, plus he feels v guilty about the whole manipulative seduction thing and isn’t sure he even deserves to.

I keep thinking that Celebrity Booze is an objectively shit episode that I mostly like because they’re dangling Breaking Bad actors in front of me and I’m easily amused and then every time I watch it I’m like No this is good actually

And a big part of it IS like meta humor in how they’re using their guest stars who are most well known for starring in a prestige crime drama  like. The commitment to the bit of only acknowledging Malcolm in the Middle and the premise that these guys are this famous in-universe for their Malcolm in the Middle role.  Referring to them almost exclusively as ‘Malcolm’ and ‘Malcolm’s dad’. And then also casting the fictionalized versions of these actors in a weird ambiguous abusive situationship so they can perform a secondary narrative function of paralleling and the shows own ambiguous abusive situationship. Like you get Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston and that’s what you do with them. Extremely funny choices I love it.
