Ah, the Before Times. Last November. Not even 12 months ago, and it seems like 12 years. When we could have a big 5k in Balboa Park. When I thought I had beaten cancer. All my tests were good. I felt great. Who knew that those breast cancer cells were coursing through my bones, spreading everywhere? Today my #FlashbackFriday is also a #FuckCancerFriday: this was me, two years ago today. After months of tests and doctor's evaluations, I began a 6-month #chemotherapy regimen, followed later by two #surgeries and daily #radiation. Of course, since this was my first day of #chemo so this was before my hair started to fall out and I started to feel all of the other side effects like #extreme nausea, extreme #fatigue, hot flashes, crazy dreams, weight fluctuation, mouth sores, and a thousand more little things.
