A Odysee roda em cima do protocolo LBRY, que mistura o protocolo Torrent com o sistema de transações do Bitcoin. Isso traz certas vantagens, como a distribuição do armazenamento de arquivos, onde, mesmo que você não tenha terminado de baixar o arquivo, você já está distribuindo-o entre os outros usuários, e, somado ao sistema de nodes do Bitcoin, faz com que qualquer um com um fullnode seja capaz de saber o endereço torrent exato daquele arquivo em específico. Claro que certos dados você vai acabar cedendo, inclusive para ativar o sistema de propagandas, mas não quer dizer que você vai ter que mostrar pra um desconhecido corporativista tudo que você tem e faz.

A Odysee fornece remuneração independente da quantidade de visualizações mensais, ao contrário do YouTube.
