Lets rip into why this isn't worth 200 dollars, ESPECIALLY as a starting bid.

First off, the tab Genesis cases come with is broken off.

There's also minor wear on the bottom left corner of the back of the insert.

This is a flaw that can happen even with sealed copies, but still, the indentations and plastic warping, good lord.

Then the manual, oh god the manual.

First off there's the obvious warping,

Check out that radical dog ear going on, and the curling, woof.

We've also got some general wear along the bottom here.

A little bit right here too.

Then last and honestly probably least, some thumbing.

Oh yeah, can't forget some scratches in the case for good measure.

Now looking at all this out of context, it's not that bad. But need I remind you of the 200 dollar starting bid. That is over 10 times the price of a typical CIB Not for Resale copy.

This is just insane.

hey guys just bought a homelander #984 off ebay for 20$, I thought it was sus but I bought it for kicks and it is fake! no serial numbers on the feet, smells terrible, cheap plastic, bad paint job, and paint not matching. on top of that the boxes bottom is printed upside down along with a funky sticker and fuzzy printing.

any listings that look like this are fake or if they have a special edition sticker instead of plain or target it's most likely not real.

Indie Sleaze: 5 item shopping list

My non-negotiable 5 clothing items to live your indie sleaze truth, written as 2000s/2010s fashion historian.

Ballet Flats

Worn by school-teachers and it girls alike, ballet flats have always been a staple in fashion history, especially in the late 2000s and 2010s. For a first time wearer a simple black flat is a safe bet as it can be paired with anything, but if you want to sleaze it up, opt for a metallic or glitter variation. Something to note about indie sleaze fashion is that the more extra it feels, the better it looks, so don't hold back on cool, funky, flats. These can be found in thrift stores, department stores, and all over Amazon.

Metallic Fabric

Since the dawn of rave/party culture, glamorous lamé fabrics have used for just about every article of clothing possible. Cheaper spandex alternatives rose to popularity as The Cobra Snake era partying merged into mainstream. Shiny red leggings paired with a black cropped tank was peak casual 2010s sleaze attire. A great place to find styles like this is Los Angeles Apparel aka American Apparels re-brand. Though they no longer sell the fun colored disco pants and shorts, the lamé collection offers a variety of shiny colorful items with that trustworthy AA quality. Other places to look are party supply stores, poshmark/depop/ebay, rave shops, and of course Amazon.

Ultra Feminine Dresses

One of the most underrated pioneers of indie sleaze fashion is model and t.v. personality Alexa Chung. While Alexa is often grouped with the Twee (shopping list coming soon) and hipster aesthetics of the 2010s her ability to blend soft girlish dresses with last nights makeup allows for an uber sleazy effect. Mini shifts, polka dotted a-lines, and vintage baby-dolls all work as long as you pair them with unkempt hair and grungy tights to keep the edge, bonus points if your dress has a peter pan collar or your tights have rips. You can find these practically anywhere but start at your local thrift store as they usually have large selections of outdated dresses that were popular during this time period. Alternatively look at department stores, vintage/antique markets, and you guessed it Amazon.

Ringer Tee's and Shorts

Before athleisure was an over-saturated mess of "flare leggings" and Lululemon we took inspiration from student athletes everywhere with the iconic ringer tee's and ringer shorts. Getting their name from the contrasting ring of fabric outlining the seams of the article, ringer style pieces were seen everywhere and worn with everything. Both such versatile basics that could be kept casual or dressed up that you might see a ringer tee with a skirt, or ringer shorts with stockings and a blouse. Los Angeles Apparel has great options for both the shirts and the shorts, places like Walmart and Target often carry ringer shorts, and Forever 21 with great ringer tees, and as always Amazon.

Stockings/Tights

It doesn't matter if they're black, white, multicolored, fish-netted, or opaque, stockings always find a way to elevate a basic look and is often what takes an outfit from mainstream to indie sleaze. Don't worry about buying a super nice quality pair as stockings look best with ripping seams and enormous holes. But don't tear them with a fork like those tiktok girls did in 2020, it screams try hard as a real indie sleaze girl would rip them via dancing, curb sitting, and drunken stumbling. Just like the dresses, you can find tights anywhere. However I don't recommend secondhand as they are technically an undergarment and it's hard to ensure the level of cleanliness.

EEEEE I FINALLY HAVE MATCHING WIZGATO OTEDAMAS EEEEEE

okay so i started my wizardmon collection a year or two ago, and at the time there were no open listings for this rare stackable tsum-tsum loaf plushie/digi-digi otedama beanbag thing ANYWHERE. so i thought i was out of luck. i got the regular plushie of him but i was really bummed i missed out on this one cuz it's sooo cute.

then, just the other day, my friend @peach-artblog asked me if i had a certain golden gacha mini-figurine in my collection (i didn't but now i do), and that prompted me to go back to ebay again. and guess who finally had a listing! so i SLAMMED that buy button as hard and fast and recklessly as i possibly could.

but then i thought, surely there is a matching gatomon one of these, and it would be cruel to separate the two of them, so i went looking for her and ordered her too. but then i kept looking for other wizard things that might have popped up since the last time i searched, and i found a cheaper gatomon on another site, but i had to wait for the one i'd already ordered to let me cancel it, since it apparently had to be approved by the seller since it had been a few hours. (this is important because it resulted in wiz and gato being ordered several days apart)

then a few days after THAT, i discovered that a certain phone charm i had seen plenty of times before and thought was fan-made was actually official! so i HAD to have it for my collection too, of course, and when i went to order it (from a third website), it reminded me of a funky thing with my address that sometimes causes it to get input wrong. so i went back to the other things i had ordered to make sure that hadn't happened, and guess what? it HAD. specifically with the gatomon otedama. so i emailed that seller right away, and they got back to me within MINUTES. apparently they were JUST about to ship it out (a bit later than i had expected too), so it sure was a good thing i got that fixed when i did! and i ONLY caught it because i had been looking at this OTHER purchase. (so very narrowly avoided further delays on gatomon)

so i'm carefully watching the tracking for the wizardmon otedama because i've been wanting it for years, this is the only listing ANYWHERE within that timespan, and our local shipping center has been fumbling things lately so i'm VERY worried about it arriving safely. and then the worst happens. i get a notification that the package has been 'forwarded' due to incorrect handling/labeling. basically the post office screwed up and sent it to the wrong place and it's being sent back. i feel sick. i have my husband call the post office and the first lady he gets is very rude and unhelpful, then he tries again (bless his heart) a few hours later and THIS lady explains that the vague ass forwarding message just means that it's been slightly delayed but it IS still on its way to us, and not to some random wrong address or back to the seller. so we cross our fingers and wait. (so long story short, wizardmon otedama got delayed)

and today, on the expected delivery date for gatomon and and the last day for wizardmon to arrive without me freaking out super hard, the two of them miraculously arrived safely, and together, despite being ordered on different days from different sellers!

and if that ain't magic i dunno what is.

1: A jester furby!

I mean, come on... They are oh so adorable!! The checker pattern, the pompoms, the magenta feet...But unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be able to have one since they're so ridiculously expensive 😔 Whilst getting a picture for this post I saw one going for over $600

2: Slightly more attainable, the Valentine's day Furby!

I lovveeee Valentine's Day themed stuff (despite likely being arospec but cough cough we dont need to talk about that.)

I also just really love pink . Look at this cutie pie!! I love the brown eyes on it since it's like chocolate... The green looks really good too! Green + pink my favorite color scheme ever...

3: The Flamingo Furby!

Once again . pink. I chose this image because it looks like it's scheming.... Wonderful beast. Another one that's marvelous with every eye color . 10/10 creature I love these things !!

4: The autumn/witch Furby!

The little hat??? Is so cute ??? Just . Adorable I love it so much. I prefer winter and spring(we're getting to spring wink wink) as seasons, but autumn does have some pretty impeccable vibes . Especially on a furby.

5: Angel furby!

This probably should have been higher on the list next to the jester bc i was like. Vaguely organizing them from like. Most expensive/hard to get to easiest but i forgot 🙏

Anyways if you know me atall you know that I. Love. Angels. To a concerning degree. And the purple eyes ? Best design choice ever ?? Looks fantastic?? Really otherworldly while still being cute. Obsessed.

6: Spring time furby! (Baby or adult)

The light purple is just so nice... It reminds me of the lilacs that bloom in a bunch of different shades of purple at my grandparents' house during the spring, which makes it extra sweet looking to me! It's kind of confusing with the baby version that apparently wasn't special addition- but yaknow what it's cute so it's ok.

7: Lime Green Baby!

I cannot express to you how much I love this cutie... little keylime pie lookin ass. Adorable. Also green is my favorite color so-

8: Sunny Baby!!

Look at how delightful this creature is! This is the one I'm most likely getting soonish- I absolutely adore the sunny babies! They are just one of the cutest things on beautiful planet earth to me. I'm so dedicated to getting one of these sweethearts once I move I already have a list of name ideas... (Any suggestions would be welcome!)

Before I move on to the last two furbs, here are some honorable mentions:

9: Strawberry Milk furby!

Honestly I'd be happy with any of the 2005 furbies (the adult ones, not the babies... those were the only actually scary furbies lmao). They're all pretty pricey, but I think someday I'll be able to find at least one- I'd be satisfied with that. Also i really like this one specifically bc it reminds me of vanilla ice cream with red velvet chunks in it.

10: Funky Purple Furby!

Last but definitely not least!

Again- I'd be happy with any of the '05 furbs, but something about the green and purple here is so charming to me . This will probably stay a dream though, since the funky ones are even more expensive than the regular ones.

And that's all of my dream furbies!! It was mostly just an excuse to talk about the ones I like, i doubt I'll ever get my hands on most of them- but I had a lot of fun making this!

Another Goodwill browse

So, over on my main tumblr I made a few posts going through goodwill lots of ponies out of interest and seeing which ones get the most bids and such. I've been doing research into the MLP collecting community and I'm always interested to see what people consider worth spending money on.

Today I saw a LOT of vintage ponies were recently posted as I was scrolling. Interestingly all from what looks like a single goodwill location.

This is the first lot that caught my eye, "Vintage Hasbro My Little Pony MLP Lot No. 1", because it was bid up to $101, with just 10 bids. The other two comparably sized lots were at like $32. So obviously I had to look over the ponies and figure out why- now, if you're a seasoned MLP collector maybe you'll see immediately which one is the most valuable, but I wasn't 100% sure.

First off I double-checked the price of the pony with rainbow wings, Ringlets, because I knew she goes for slightly more than other ponies. However, she's only listed on ebay for about $45. Many of the listings say "RARE HTF" but there are like 22 listings for her- afaik she's not rare, she's just pretty looking so people like her.

I also checked the popcorn pony and the bright yellow tropical ponies, because sometimes ponies with funky schemes or sillier designs are slightly more pricey.

But at that point I had already noticed this pony: Satin n Lace.

It seems like magenta Satin n Lace is actually proper rare/HTF. I noticed information on the coloration is even difficult to find on MLP wikis and forums. This pony was printed in 3 variants: Lavender colored, Magenta colored, and "So soft" which means her body is magenta but white flocking fuzz is covering it, giving i the appearance of lavender. There is only one listing for her on ebay, for $75.

So, I'm guessing that Satin n Lace being good quality + having several other high quality ponies and desirable ponies made someone really want this lot, hence the $100 bid.

They have a fair few other lots, and they split up a lot of the sets sadly. Here they've separated Galaxy and Fizzy (right) from Tic Tac Toe and Bright Eyes (Left). Bright Eyes sells for more on her own (havent been able to figure out why). Fizzy and Galaxy are some of my favorite pony designs, too.

Meanwhile gingerbread, whizzer, and 2 party times got a lot of their own:

Looking at lots 2 and 3, there are a lot fo dupes- I'm not sure if they got all these ponies from the same place or not, on second thought. But a few of the same collections are repeated, like the magic message ponies and ice cream sundae ponies, and there's another rainbow curl pony in this set. Lot 2 has 6 bids but is only up to $30. I do <3 Steamer though, respect.

Now for a lot nobody has bid on: six g2 ponies! At $10 that's less than $2 per pony! But collectors don't like g2 as much. Perhaps someone will pick them up anyways.

This My Little Pony Friends lot is from a different goodwill, just posted, and its got! zigzag! Kingsley! and Spunky the camel! People don't like the other MLP friends as much as they do Cutesaurus the Dinosaur but that's okay, they are loved by me. And they are being bid on.

There's a lot just of these three Summer Wing ponies, and a separate lot that includes 2 of the third one (Little Flitter). These'll probably sell for higher and get bid up- they're not that rare or special but I imagine many people want to get this collection.

Looking at all these ponies, you can tell they did their research to figure out which ones to separate out, more or less.

For reasons again, unclear to me, Diamond Dreams is worth much more than the other Merry Go Round ponies- selling for $130+ on ebay. The Big Brothers with hats are separated out (including others that are not wigwam, the racism pony).

They're also individually selling the So Softs and ponies like Starglow (im pretty sure the Glow n show ponies are just more expensive because they glow in the dark), plus some of the ones with accessories. Honestly the So Softs they're selling are like, some of the cleanest SS I've ever seen.

I'd imagine the sets they have listed, like this, might be bid up to a slightly higher price just because if someone doesn't have that set they might be tempted knowing they can get so many at once.

In comparison, a different goodwill posted these 3- a Sparkle pony and 2 baby Sparkle ponies- and didn't list their names out like the first goodwill.

It is usually more fun to see the ones where people don't know what they have, because you get fun mixed gen lots, like this one which has mostly vintage ponies, a vintage lunchbox, a g2 McDonalds toy, a g3 McDonalds toy, and a g3 pony (or two, I cant tell)

This is actually the first time I've seen Woolly & Fleecy being sold. They were part of the Baby Ponies and Pretty Pals set, which were ponies with animal companions with matching cutie marks. They don't sell for *that* much on their own or even together but its sweet to see them in the same set!

Other highlights include: 3 twinkle-eyed ponies, a princess brush and grow pony, and 2 Glittery Sweetheart Sisters. Quite a nice and varied set.

This lot comes with a doll who I don't think is MLP related- not sure which doll- but I think a baby pony playset of some kind, a Merry-Go-Round pony, one of the playtime baby brothers (which I dont see often) and even 2 Fairy Tails, which are the bird spinoff of MLP. woah theres actually this big lot that comes with a bunch of ponies and accessories. it looks to me like these are mostly early year ponies though, so idk if they will be bid highly. they're also really dirty. I dont think mlp collectors care that much for Megan and Molly but maybe someone will want them!

goodwill even has these 2 princess WITH their bushwoolies and hats which is cool.

man, lots of fun stuff on the thrifting web today. alas, i should stop, as i have looked at so many plastic horses that i cannot afford, and i really need to do other things now...

Do you like ASOS? What’s some good online brands you like?

I do like Asos , find it can be hit & miss though and to make the most of it you deffo need to know who you're looking for! ,

I like on Asos / Topshop (used to shop there religiously especially Asos boutique when it was a physical store & find there's still a lot of good pieces now it's on Asos) , also Ghospell on there too is really good too and dream sister Jane, reclaimed vintage is good for funky tees & you can get some really nice asos design pieces but the quality can be a bit hit and miss and then off of Asos I really like

- e-bay for vintage pieces , custo Barcelona on eBay is great for funky bits & Desigual

- Urban outfitters I used to shope there loads but not as much now cos some of the prices are just stupid but it can be nice for a one off thing

- RCG wears - he does really cool upcycled pieces

- Anthropologie & Oliver bonas do gorgeous bits but again a little pricier

And then websites like Goodhood , End clothing & North workshop are great for some street style pieces

Hello to the commentariat! I contacted Clyde a few weeks ago asking if I could cash in my "Stein Winners Get A Crack At Writing This Thing" as part of the College Football Pool extravaganza. Now, a couple of items of note: I can’t remember when I won the Stein (2018?) and I had started writing something I was going to use, but I forgot to finish it and didn’t follow through. The topic? Being diagnosed with ADHD at 51. As Alanis would say: ironic, don’t you think?

Anyway, last weekend Mrs. TTT and I, along with our youngest, decided to check out the Funky Flea. This is basically a Flea Market that is….that’s it, it’s a flea market. Where the Funky part comes in, I’m not sure, but what I am sure of is this: the time to shop for RTARLers is done as I have compiled some awesome ideas for the commenter on your Easter list! People buy Easter gifts, right?

Apologies to a certain Boston podcaster who used to write who did a schtick like this. Bigger apologies to anyone that gets left out…maybe stop changing your screen name every 2 days. (ALL PRICES ARE IN CANADIAN DOLLARS…WHAT SAVINGZ!!!)

Now I know there is another person that would really enjoy something in the Card Collectables Realm (wait your turn BoTS) but Vlad may enjoy this Red Wing legend! I must admit, though, being a Canadian I am required to have an Encyclopedic knowledge of hockey but I do not remember anything about Alex Delvecchio. He’s been in the Hall of Fame almost as long as I have been alive so he must have been the Jaromir Jagr of his day if he played for 24 seasons. Now I have to be honest here, I got pretty excited when I saw this. Then I thought about my internet friend who is also a fan of Les Expos. There were only 3 problems: one, they were asking 80 dollars for this (eBay had them for 39); two, I remembered that Andre never wore this version of the Expos jersey (it was the much cooler older one); and three, they had spelled Dawson DAHSUN…okay I made that last one up. Maybe SROD would consider a trade for a copy of his novel.

I looked around to see if there was anything Maine-related or obscure violent films…no. So I thought he may enjoy this classic magazine. It’s in a plastic bag so you KNOW it is valuable (or maybe for other reasons…yuck). Also from what I’ve been told if Clyde got “excited” he may take out half the booths here simply walking by. FYI this is Playmate of the Year Lisa Baker from the confusing town of Detroit, Texas. She actually did another layout in 1997 at age 53 and as far as the internet says, is still kicking ass at 80.
