Love is Better the Second Time Around Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto
Tumblr media
Synopses: One day, Akihiro Miyata, a mid-level editor at a business magazine, visits popular university associate professor Takashi Iwanaga to ask him to write an economics column. However, that person was his first love, whom he broke up with during his high school days! It has been more than ten years since he moved to Tokyo. Miyata, who had completely sealed off the past where he had a big love affair to the point where he promised to elope, was able to find a girlfriend who was thinking of marrying him and was living a “normal” life. Even after they meet again by chance, Miyata treats him as a business partner and vows never to fall in love with Iwanaga again. Adapted from the manga series "Koi wo Surunara Nidome ga Joto" (恋をするなら二度目が上等) by Kinoshita Keiko (木下けい子). [MDL]

Takamatsu Aloha ( Tokyo in April...) plays the supporting role of Shiraishi Yuto, Takashi's assistant. And apparently he has a crush on him. And I can already tell I'll be rooting for the wrong guy in this triangle. Look at him.
Tumblr media
Directed by Yasukawa Yuka (Jack O'Frost) Another very exciting detail. The production team got Ayumu Imazu to write a new song for the series. For those who don't know, he's the artist that wrote Sunshower, the absolute incredible song that was part of Eternal Yesterday OST.
Premieres Tuesday March 5.

also in terms of the bolas playlist it's fascinating to me that the songs added by each person have a slight tendency to represent a consistent aspect of bolas
like
the songs added by slime are their chaos
the songs added by philza are their rebellion
the songs added by cellbit are their rage
the songs added by baghera are their anguish
it's so fucking FASCINATING TO ME but i don't know enough music theory to elaborate lmfao this is Vibes Only
(mouse's songs i can't boil down to an easy noun which is why they aren't mentioned lmao anyway they go hard asf)
(also i went on the longest fucking unhinged elaboration in the tags lmfao i almost didn't have enough tags left to tag "long tags" at the end
(i could have even gone on longer in terms of where their characters were at entering purgatory [philza: cage for a cage; cellbit: fed worker murders; baghera: her past as a federation experiment; slime: turning into a code because of the code pretending to be his daughter] but i ran out of space and also time it's 4AM AAAAA)
#qsmp#qsmp purgatory#this is a sweeping generalization btw esp for baghera's she added a WIDE variety of music#qsmp bolas#sorry i forgot that tag existed lmao#i will elaborate slightly:#slime added: find your flame; gas gas gas extended; waltz of the meatball man; foghorn sound effect#philza added: b.y.o.b.; throne; the melting point of wax#cellbit added: hayloft II; brazilian dança phonk (which roier literally played during purg while beating the shit out of bbh lmao)#baghera added: can you feel my heart; still waiting; and coincidentally she added 'it's been so long' (the fnaf song lol)#TO BE CLEAR THESE ARE GENERALIZATIONS#baghera also added the government knows [REBELLION] and oops [CHAOS]#philza added given up [ANGUISH]#cellbit added zombie [ANGUISH] and tokyo drift [CHAOS]#slime added as above so below [ANGUISH]#it's not a perfect category; ESPECIALLY for baghera's songs i want to make that so clear in these tags#HOWEVER. it is interesting.#anyway i went after lyrics for these examples but just generally when going through the playlist the first time#i kind of learned that like.#music to murder to was probably cellbit; punk millenial music was probably philza#the wackiest shit was probably slime (was shocked to find out tokyo drift was a cellbit song for this reason lmao)#baghera's i usually could only pin down bc it didn't sound like anyone else's#and mouse's added songs i could not describe the vibe if you threatened me for it but it has one#i guess the closest vibe is 'a college radio station run by anime fans' and even then it's not that close#it kinda excludes songs like the b//ad bun//ny songs#unless college anime fans are also fans of them in which case great!#IDK IT'S 4 AM I WAS JUST MAKING MYSELF SAD ABOUT TILIN I NEED TO GO TO SLEEP#shut up vic#block game brainrot#long tags

Screw the ghost shit, this is the biggest mystery in HGSN. If Chapter 22 doesn’t open with a full telling of Yoshiki’s tragic backstory: the birthday party where he received 11 copies of the same book from 11 different people, then idk if I can continue reading…

陸自防護マスク4
JSDF Type 4 Protective Mask
Me and @bureau-of-mines were in the midst of watching Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters (1968) on Svengoolie with friends and family when out of some miracle, he spotted this thing on eBay mobile and copped it instantly.
These were the standard gas mask of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces from approximately the mid-1980's up until recently. Beginning in 2000, it started getting phased out with the Type 4b Protective Mask (aka the Type 00), and more recently, the Type 18 is now starting to enter service with the JSDF.
The Japanese government is incredibly protective of their CBRN equipment and very few are released to the public; supposedly it's even illegal for Japanese citizens to be in possession of these. How one ended up on U.S. eBay is beyond my comprehension.

In the center of the mask is a central inlet/outlet/voicemitter/drinking assembly made of reasonably study plastic and held in place with a metal ear clamp - a small nub sticking out the side would allow a hydration tube to link a canteen to the facepiece.
A downward-facing outlet valve permits moisture drainage and an average-sized voice diaphragm is positioned just up and behind the center NATO 40mm port.

The eyepieces are made of thick glass with brass frames held together by screw clamps. The famous 'sad' appearance of postwar Japanese masks is palpable with this model.
The head harness is of the mesh 'skullcap' variety, and interestingly, despite being 6-point, the top two straps arranged close together so it functions effectively like a wider 5-point strap system.

Inside the mask, there are many details to take note of - here you can see the top straps have two separate positions for the mounting studs for adjustment; the mask seems to have been made in a 'universal' size.
The manufacturer's mark reveals this mask was manufactured by Koken Ltd. around 1996. The inner nosecup is short and squat as is typical for gas masks designed with Asian facial ergonomics in mind. The inner drinking straw can be seen protruding in from side, just in front of the voicemitter.
Above this lies a single nosecup valve disk and at the very bottom is the outlet valve, hidden under the chin rest.

Perhaps the most famous use of these masks followed the 1995 Tokyo Subway Sarin Gas Attack, carried out by members of the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult. All members of the JSDF decontamination teams were seen wearing the Type 4.
As of writing, this may be the only specimen of these masks in the United states, let alone outside Japan to begin with. We've literally never seen one of these in a collector's hands up until now.

Hinami with a plate of hands fried in fat, because hands/fingers are her favorite and Tsukiyama has been encouraging her to have an interest in food.
Hinami loves it, Tsukiyama is very happy, the Gas Mask Trio are enjoying warm food, Banjou is mildly weirded out but curious.
Kaneki is quite disturbed because food is that one (very important) thing about being a ghoul that he just Doesn't Wanna Deal With.

Summaries:
TB: It's 1991, the last days of Japan's bubble economy, and money and elegance run through the streets. So do the currents of darkness beneath them, nourishing evil spirits that only the arts of the onmyoji—Japan's legendary occultists—can combat. The two most powerful onmyoji are in the unlikely guises of a handsome young veterinarian, Seishiro, and the teenage heir to the ancient Sumeragi clan, Subaru.
Hikaru: Two boys lived in a village: Yoshiki and Hikaru. The two did everything together...until the day Hikaru was encompassed by a mysterious light. That was when everything changed—Hikaru most of all. Yoshiki still wishes from the bottom of his heart to always stay by his side...but is there even a Hikaru left to be with?
Kasane: Kasane's face is so hideous, you couldn't bear to look twice at her—and her ugliness has forced her to walk a harsh path in life. But her mother left her something: a tube of lipstick. The power of this lipstick will change everything about her downtrodden life.

Toyota Century GT45 Concept, 1975. Also on the Toyota stand at the 21st Tokyo Motor Show (in the top left of the stand pic), a gas-turbine-powered version of Toyota's flagship model. A GT45 gas turbine engine was mounted the Century because it was one of the few Toyotas with an engine bay big enough. The engine was coupled to an electrical generator connected to twenty 12 V batteries, which provided power for two electric motors, one motor for each of the front wheels.
