What would you say are feligami’s flexes as a ship/couple?

they're the smartest couple in mlb (in some ways. most ways.) ((sorry not sorry to gabenath)) both felix and kagami are wunderkinds in their own rights and i love that if you put them together they turn into happy little dorks

fastburnfastburnfastburn. while i would've loved some more feligami buildup and/or exploration, i did love that rapid connection, shotgun romance type thing they did in canon.

they understand each other. it helps that they both know they're sentis and can bond over that shared experience! nobody quite knows what it's like to be who they are except the other. come on that is so so sweet 🥺

they're both the most socially awkward kids in the show. they study human interactions together and compare notes afterwards. "you did well speaking to adrien today. he was glad you did not steal any of his belongings or insult any of his friends." "thank you. your smiles were very genuine. all your practice is really paying off."

they challenge each other to grow. felix helps kagami push the boundaries of authority imposed on her by her mother and her upbringing and her own expectations of herself. meanwhile kagami helps felix become more socially and emotionally adept with all the wisdom she herself has acquired <3 they both help each other not be afraid <333

Okay, now I sort of want to know what Gabenath and Feligami fics you can recommend to someone who's new to those ships?

So fics that'll help to sell you on the ships...

I'll do Feligami first, there's really only one that I can think of that I think would help sell you on it. There just aren't that many fics for it yet. It's a side ship here, but a pretty prominent one, and one that gets all of its development WITHIN the fic, so I thought it was good for this. Also this is just a fantastic fic more generally.

All of Paris watched as Hawkmoth murdered Chat Noir, taking the Black Cat Miraculous for himself. Ladybug swears revenge, but her enemy—and every miraculous in his possession—disappear without a trace. Six years later, a new team of villains launches an attack for the last remaining Miraculous: Volpina, armed with new powers; Queen Bee, with questionable loyalty; Argos, the new holder of the Peacock Miraculous; and Cat Walker, who Ladybug hates the most. Takes place after S4 - Strike Back.

Felix is a tricky character in here, with his motives and methods concealed - you don't find out what's going on with him until later on. That's true for most of the characters in this fic though who are ostensibly on Monarque's side, things aren't always as they seem.

So then Kagami gets close to Felix, trying to figure out what's going on with him...

I just love how the two of them mentally spar with each other, challenge each other, and protect each other, though Kagami also doesn't let Felix go too far. It's an awesome relationship!

As for GabeNath, there's a lot more fics for it, over a thousand in fact. But there's one series in particular that I'd recommend for it.

Butterflies Don't Speak by @fallingpapillon

Nathalie gets struck with an akuma. Her mind gets sent a year into the future. She starts to live her days backwards up to the day she was akumatized. Gabriel and Nathalie fall in love with each other backwards. For doctor who fans, you know the Doctor and River Songs? It’s like that but Gabenath and ACTUALLY reversed timelines and instead of “spoilers” its “butterflies dont speak”

There's actually two main fics for this, one following Nathalie's perspective, and one following Gabriel's, as both of them go through the timeline in opposite directions. It's a fascinating set-up to read, The two fics were originally published simultaneously, with readers seeing what happens at both ends of the year and then finding out what happened in the middle later on, so you might want to alternate reading chapters. I loved seeing how their relationship developed even when they were heading in opposite directions, had to watch the person they love drift away from them as they got nearer to the end of their own timeline, and the beginning of the other person's.

What is Smutember?

Smutember is a month-long NSFW prompt-a-thon for fic writers and fan artists of a certain ship; in this case, the relationship of Gabriel Agreste and Nathalie Sancoeur (known as Gabenath) from the show The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

The aim of this Smutember calendar is to celebrate the NSFW side of our ship, so all entries are welcome!

While normal Smutember calendars are posted up as far back as June to allow creators to plan ahead, this one is made with no strict submission deadlines in mind.

Wait, so I can just make fics/art on my own time?

Yes! This calendar does not require that creators stick to the prompt for that day, nor to submit a completed work before the day ends.

That being said, if you want to challenge yourself by publishing a work every day, then by all means, go ahead!

Can I publish sfw works?

Yes, of course! If the prompt doesn't inspire anything NSFW, then it's totally fine. The more works, the merrier!

Bend and Snap

| A little vague gabenath thing for you all! I have been listening to bend and snap on repeat and this came to my mind. |

| Little bit of a suggestive ending but that’s it really. |

She’s had way to many drinks.

Yet she’s still insisting that she’s fine and will be able to brave the walk home when the festivities have died down.

Yeah right, Nathalie was going to regret this so much when she woke up.

But right now the least she could do was enjoy the downtime she had. Because sure as hell she wasn’t going to get another chance for a long time.

Vincent and Josephine sit with her along with some others Nathalie can’t remember the name of, their all enjoying each other’s company and chatting about random things.

Especially that one scene in Legally Blonde where Elle teaches Paulette to Bend and Snap.

The next thing Nathalie knows is Vincent has started to try egg her on to get up and try, knowing very well that his best friend would rather die then do it.

But Nathalie being Nathalie, and someone who wasn’t willing to back down from a challenge easily, with some liquid courage on her side decides to just let loose.

“Fine. I’ll do it but none of you are filming this.”

The cheers nearly deafen her, Josephine is wolf whistling, Vincent is slamming the table with the force of a bull.

Nathalie pulls her jeans up slightly, hoping that she’d feel less embarrassed afterwards. The woman registers the song from the musical playing in the background as she gets up.

Suddenly, Nathalie definitely resonates with Paulette’s statement of being afraid of cheerleaders.

So as the cheers get louder and she straightens her leg, bending forwards before instantly recoiling and snapping back up. Hands just below her breasts on either side.

The least Nathalie expected was her boss appearing out of nowhere.

“What the bloody hell is going on?!”

FUCK

This was not what she needed or wanted right now, Gabriel Agreste watching her ace the Bend and Snap.

Nathalie knows she’s a blushing mess, instantly grabbing her coat and rushing off before it could get worse.

Although the rowdy cheers from her friends tell her that they know something she doesn’t.

Her head is pounding, and she’s sure she’ll need to be sick in a few moments.

Nathalie groans into the pillow beneath her head. Fucking Christ, she was not letting anyone ever convince her to drink that much again!

It’s then the woman registers she’s not in her own room, this is someone else’s room entirely. And the said someone has their arms around her waist.

Oh fuck.

Nathalie is in Gabriel Agreste’s bedroom, what the actual fuck?!

Well she’d have to do the Bend and Snap more, if it meant she’d wake up happily blissed out with the afterglow of sex with her boss.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while! Hope things are well.

Today I am introducing a new event showcased on the Gabenath Book Club and Art Club server, the Gabenath Summer Zine! (More information as to what a zine is can be found here.

This zine is both an art and fanfic zine, and is dedicated to Gabriel Agreste and Nathalie Sancoeur. The theme is summertime; pool parties, stargazing at night, boating, bike rides, sunscreen, you name it!

The level of commitment varies, so if you're a little busy, no worries! We give a variety of options for joining us.

If you’re an artist, there are three options we are offering:

1. Four clean, mono-color sketches 2. Two lined monochrome pieces 3. One full color or flat color finished piece These can be any angle, any pose.

For writers, any length of fic is accepted under 2-2.5k words. Any more than that, we’d ask you to simply do a summary and then link the full story underneath the posted summary. We also have beta reader and art beta positions available.

Writers and artists can go solo, or a writer and artist may team up for pieces that work together. You may also be both a writer and artist, though we encourage that double participants refrain from applying for beta positions. GabeNath Soulmate AU. And I’m mostly curious about how you would do the soulmate trope! :)

This story is a color soulmate AU, where you can't see in color until you meet your soulmate. If your soulmate dies, then the world goes back to black and white. On top of that the only person that can see someone's true eye color is their soulmate.

Nathalie didn't meet Gabriel Agreste on good terms, and both of them have been pretending that the other doesn't exist as a result. But when Nathalie has a run in with Hawk Moth and realizes that she can see his true eye color, and therefore knows his identity, things get a lot more complicated for the both of them.

Your thoughts on Adrinette and Gabenath paralelism? Do you think the resemblance is intentional?

I do think it’s intentional, if not executed particularly well.

The notion that, like his father, Adrien could become so attached to this idealized idea of somebody he loves who is always just out of reach is intriguing. Same that Marinette could become complacent in her feelings and stick herself in an unhealthy situation out of loyalty to someone she deeply admires and loves.

But this parallel, while present, doesn’t seem as though it will ever be addressed, because the show likely won’t challenge the fated correctness and goodness of Adrien and Marinette belonging together. The only long-standing conflict between them is the dramatic irony of the two of them not being able to know each other’s identities, not because it would complicate their feelings but because it would cause Gabriel to interfere. Even when Marinette was struggling with the revelation that Adrien and Chat are the same person in ‘Ephemeral’, that internal conflict was shoved aside to make way for Gabriel’s clunky involvement. He’s still the only explicit reason they can’t at least begin to work these feelings out.

Personally, I think that if the show was more willing to address the writing on the wall that love can be a very dark force and that anyone could fall under it, the Adrinette/Gabenath parallel would be one of the best aspects of the story, but it seems to want to keep Adrinette pure and good and challenged only by external forces. Which I don’t love.
