Had an interesting discussion with Rob Noerr last night. It began as an interview about my research into GamerGate, but gradually transformed into an impromptu debate about January 6th and Trump. “We’re not going back GamerGate are we?”

GOTY: Horizon FW & Elden Ring

Nothing against Elden Ring,

but it breaks my heart that Elden Ring will probably make game of the year, due to it's massive fanbase, over Horizon Forbidden West.

H:FW is absolutely stunning, with its beautiful graphics, sound design, variety of environments, detailed mocapping, exploring underwater, flying high above the mountains, the ambient occlusion, the effects, the fucking water reflections, intricate machine rigging, the AI, and hyper-realistic character models.

I know Dark Souls uses a different engine, and that's their style, but I just wince at the Dark Souls/Elden Ring character models clipping in so many different parts of their armors and etc (I'm honestly surprised they haven't revised their engine to be able to keep this from happening. To me it just looks sloppy). The environments in Souls games feel so drab and lifeless (I get that that's the point, I know, but Guerilla really struck gold in so many departments with Horizon. Comparing the two is night and day).

Not to mention Aloy feels so alive and has so much personality, you can't help but adore her while playing. It always makes me smile when she comments about how cold she is, or sand getting in her eyes, machines pissing her off, exhausted after sprinting, embracing the rain, or her complimenting her weapons.

My brother has shown me so many Elden Ring videos and idk I just don't feel any life in it. Of course, the bosses are impressive in their own AI system and difficulty, but what else is there?

To me, personally, from the hours of Dark Souls and Elden Ring gameplays I've seen, Souls games just seem like, boss fight, boss fight, boss fight, boss fight, boss fight.

Granted, I can appreciate how proud Souls game players must feel after defeating these monstrosities and winning their victories. And maybe that's enough for them, and that's great!

But I feel the life in Guerilla's games. Horizon Forbidden West specifically feels alive. What makes a game for me is the richness in the storytelling, the ambiance, the personality, heart, and charm. In Forbidden West, you discover and learn about different cultures, and traverse through lush forests, sunken cities, snow-capped mountains, and scorching deserts, all the while meeting new characters and discovering ancient secrets from the distant past. Horizon Forbidden West offers so much to the player. Guerilla Games should truly be proud of what they have created. It's sad that this great of a feat will be overlooked, simply due to a larger fanbase.

Hiya everyone, so gamefly has in fact sent me Prey and i should be getting it Monday~! (^-^) I for sure will write a review for it as i play but it wont go up ti'll i beat the game which could be a week or two~ Also i gave paladins a solid try last night and ended up playing for 4 hours... yeah its kinda fun lol, and simmilare yet different enough from Overwatch that i can enjoy it and dont find myself wishing i was just playing Overwatch instead, its pace and feel, reminds me alot of old arena shooters like quake, Unreal and Halo. and the Time to kill feels quicker as well! (or maybe thats just the bot matches talking) And lastly for my little update i have in fact been playing the Nioh DLC, Dragon of the north, but progress has been slow, i didnt do much endgame so i feel a little underpowered but im making my way through it slowly and last night i just beat Date Masamune! So far i love Odachi's and AND!! Female transformations were added in!!! For the low low price of 70K glory perskin.... 100K for okatsu.... *sarcasm* The prices are annoying but somehow i had nearly 70K anyway so i got Ginchiyo Tachibana, Next they need to add some skins from other Tecmo games like... Ayane, and Ryu! Ok thats about it for this entry, i hope everyone enjoyed the Corpse party story, and as allways if you have suggestions or ideas for what kinks/characters you wanna see let me know. Xbox Cloud Gaming – everything you need to know – available on Xbox X/S

We are back with another blog and today we will be talking about Microsoft’s Xbox cloud gaming service and everything you need to know about it.

So let’s just get right into it.

Through this blog, we will be answering all the questions you may have regarding the Xbox cloud gaming service. What exactly is it? How can I get it? What games will I have access to through this service? What devices are compatible with this service? And so much more.

What is Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Cloud gaming has taken over and every gaming company has their own service out and running. Microsoft too launched its Project xCloud, which is now popularly known as Xbox Cloud gaming joining the race and giving its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers more of a reason to extend their subscriptions every month.

To be able to access the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, you need to have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a compatible device (more on this later) and a good internet connection.

This service connects your device to the cloud server and lets you run the Xbox Game Pass games and much more.

Objectively speaking, this service promotes and supports hardware-free gaming. With this, you don’t need to compulsorily own an Xbox Series X/S to play Xbox games. You can simply play those on your handheld devices like your smartphones, tablets or even on your PCs and laptops with the help of a simple subscription.

A brief history of Project xCloud and now, Xbox Cloud Gaming

Talk of Microsoft using the cloud to show off a demo of their then Xbox 360 exclusive- Halo 4 made rounds in September of 2013. The game was said to stream straight from a cloud to the devices in the meeting room- on a Windows PC and a Nokia Lumia smartphone.

The service was included as a part of the E3 trade show in June 2018 during Microsoft’s press event. The same year in October, Microsoft released an official announcement quoting the codename Project xCloud along with video footage of a game being streamed through the cloud.

The service officially launched in September 2019 as Xbox Cloud gaming available with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Why should you have Xbox Cloud gaming?

There are several reasons why you should get the Xbox Cloud gaming that comes with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

First and foremost, you do not need expensive systems and hardware to play exclusive and other Xbox games. Now, this not only saves you a lot of money but also helps you reduce physical space.

Another great reason why you should have this service is that it saves so much storage on your console that can be used for some other game or application.

Xbox cloud service is extremely flexible, you can play the same game on several devices and pick up exactly where you left the last time. This is the best option for working and studying gamers who can also carry their game to their workplace and school and finish their game during their free time there.

There are no hassles of waiting for a game to download or updating them or installing anything of any sort. It’s done in a jiffy by itself especially if you own a strong internet connection.

What devices is it compatible with?

Microsoft has done its homework well and made sure that the service is compatible with a lot of different devices.

Xbox cloud gaming is available on Xbox Series X/S. Click here to shop console now. However, we feel like you should simply download the games on your Xbox Series X/S console as it would not hinder your 4K resolution experience with the games.

The service can be accessed by android and tablet users by downloading the Xbox Game Pass application from their play store or app store.

Apple users can avail of the service through their browser by logging in to xbox.com

As for the PC and laptop users, there are two alternatives – the first one being through a web browser and the xbox.com website and the second directly from the desktop application available.

What games can you play through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service?

A wide range of Xbox Pass Games can be accessed through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service but that doesn’t guarantee all the titles. Worry not, you can use the application in order to play a lot of titles, especially the ones sorted out and placed under the ‘Cloud’ section.

The list of games available is so varied, thus having the Xbox Game Pass is even more worthwhile. It includes everything from big exclusive titles to indie hits. What’s more, is the access to some of the biggest Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One games. You get to play more than 200 games with the Cloud service.

Gone are days when gaming was only confined to the four walls of your bedroom and you had to wait the entire day to finish that exciting level. With so many supported devices, gaming and enjoying some of the most celebrated Xbox Game Pass titles have become easy and thrilling.

However, you need to keep in mind a few things while subscribing to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. First, if you have a compatible device that can support the Xbox Game Pass. Second, make sure that you have a fast internet connection to experience a seamless cloud gaming experience and lastly if the Xbox Cloud Gaming feature is available in your region.
