all of core four are pretty touch-starved i would imagine - kon and bart for obvious reasons (test tube, vr, etc), tim and cassie bc they were used to loving parents and now. well. oops. but so they're prone to just kind of existing in piles when they're all together just to hang out. i also don't think they drink often because neither kon nor bart can really get drunk and it's not that fun for them, but now and then it happens. so.

cassie gets some fancy themysciran wine as a present from donna for her 21st and they all hang out at the farm. bart tries to persuade kon to make crop circles with him. kon bonks him on the head and says they are not doing that to ma's crops. cassie laughs at them both and offers them some wine. bart tries a sip and says it tastes like betrayal and garbage, kon tries a sip and says ummm... well it would probably make for some real good cookin'!, and tim rolls his eyes and says he knows how to appreciate a red wine, at least, so looks like it's just him and cassie splitting it.

i’m really struggling with managing a list of things i need to do. it seems like no matter what i do, it’s either so in my face that I am constantly stressed about it or so out of the way that i forget about it for weeks at a time.

reminders are kind of similarly difficult bc without them i don’t remember things that need to happen at certain times (e.g. putting out the bins), but when they go off i just feel stressed about the thing to do suddenly.

i think it comes from periods of intense stress where i had too many things to do and those little tasks felt so overwhelming and is not helped by the fact that i regularly crash out and have a few days to a few weeks where i feel like that again

so even when i’m feeling good they make me feel so stressed. mostly i’ve managed by being ok missing them and reducing the frequency, like i skip the non-recycling weeks and sometimes skip one or two recycling weeks in a row since i don’t use that much garbage, and once it fit manageable under the workbench in my garage, I stopped pushing myself to fill the recycling bin from the backlog of recycling I had built up before signing up for recycling pickup*.

but yeah i feel like there is a solution and it might just be finding an app or physical note format that works slightly better for my needs. but it also might be needing to solve the anxiety over these todo items at the source rather than working around it.

it’s kind of hard to know where to focus in therapy for that reason, but the thing i’m working on now keeps being the answer to so many things unexpectedly so i’m at least finishing working through that first. at least continuing to focus there until it stops giving me a major breakthrough every week haha.

DURING the pickup window I changed the #1 worst diarrhea diaper of all time. It took probably around 20 paper towels just to control the mess enough to start cleaning up the actual child. And that took about half a package of wipes

Her shoes and socks survived, but nothing else did. She was mostly chill, but got scared when I mentioned to my coteacher that she might be sick. She kept saying "I want my daddy..." and I technically could have called him bc he works in the building, but I didn't want him to come get her yet, bc she was not ready to go home yet (COVERED IN POOP).

He did eventually come in and we told him what was going on and he came over and talked to her while I put the clean diaper and clothes on her, then he helped her wash her hands while I cleaned the changing table. I spent 30 minutes after they left cleaning and sanitizing the table, mat, garbage can, and anything and everything else I could think of. I'm just glad it happened at school, where everything is made to be cleaned and sanitized daily. I'd hate for that to have happened in her dad's car 😬

the good news is that apparently me and my gf are now in the clear to donate/sell/throw out whatever of my roommates stuff and that the property manager and another person came yesterday with a pick up truck to take away some of her disgusting furniture to the dump and will come back another day to pick up more of it. and he said once her room is clean they can bring an ozone thing into her room on a day when we're out to clear up all the cigarette smell clinging to the room

the bad news is that me and my gf are still having to clean up all her room and its such a nightmare bc for every trashbag we fill theres another food container full of live maggots we find and theres just such an absurd amount of trashbags in front of our residential trash pickup garbage bin and i just do not think we have the resources or ability or time to fully clean this room without this nightmare dragging on forever while i'm also so fucking busy with work and school right now
