From Gematsu
Tumblr media
Single-player 3D platformer RKGK / Rakugaki will launch for PC via Steam on May 22 for $19.99, Gearbox Publishing and developer Wabisabi Games announced.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Turn heads. Drop jaws. Be bright. In this single-player 3D platformer, you’re the only one who can take down Mr. Buff and his lackies to restore color and life to the citizens of Cap City. Accompany Valah and the RKGK crew on their journey to take down the oppressive B Corp.
Key Features
The City is Your Canvas – The city is your canvas. Join the rebellious Valah and her RKGK crew to free the neo-brutalist Cap City from evil B Corp’s control. Collect secret treasures, find hidden paths, and light up the cold and grey concrete with your graffiti.
Go Ahead, Show Off – How fast can you go? Chain together jumps, dashes, glides, and grinds. Reach the perfect flow state in Defacer mode—where Valah’s world becomes her animated wonderland. Master routes and speed through levels as you take down Mr. Buff’s cronies with style.
Be Bold – Break through enemies, overload your senses, and take back control. Use Valah’s paint abilities for stylish traversal, chaotic mayhem, and leaving your vibrant mark on every corner of Cap City.
Rage Against the Machine – Channel your power through art and resist Mr. Buff’s mind-controlling technology. Restore freedom to the citizens of Cap City and test your abilities against the B Corp minions. Valah’s creativity and imagination is the spark to guide you through a dark, controlling world.
Express Yourself – Color is power. Graffiti is resistance. Use art as the ultimate expression to speak for the underdog and light up the world. With plenty of paint and cosmetic customization options, Valah can reclaim her city and look great doing it.
RKGK / Rakugaki and Wabisabi are proud to be a part of Riot Games’ Underrepresented Founders program, working together to help increase diversity in game development.

This week I discovered “Blanc”, a cooperative game that can be played by two people (or solo) ! I played with a friend and it took us a little less than 3 hours to complete it. Things I liked : The atmosphere ! It was as delicate as the snow that blankets the game. The music is absolutely perfect - it could make us feel chill, joyous, adventurous - and it also warned us when something ominous could happen. The cooperation aspect ! I was already sold on this because I really love coop (video or board) games but I thought the two characters were almost perfectly balanced in terms of actions (we helped each other in turns, and had to cooperate to help others). The unique graphisms ! Everything worked very well with only a few colors. It made for a very immersive experience (helped by the music) and everything (objects, depths...) could be understood at a glance. Things I disliked : During our playtime, we had to restart several times because of bugs - both of gameplay & linked to the online aspect. That was a little immersion-breaking but of course not a deal breaker. We restarted the game quickly and could rapidly keep playing. The only other “critique” I can think of is the length of the game - on the day we played, I thought “Oh, why wasn’t it a little longer?” I wished we had encountered more animals, for example. But to be honest, a couple days later, when I reflected on my experience, I realized I had actually enjoyed being able to finish it in one go. So, not really a problem in the end ! All in all, a very cool experience that I recommend if you like cooperative, chill games.

We Happy Few — a frustrating tale about happiness
We Happy Few is ultimately a poorly organized and identity-lacking game. It draws inspiration from great games but falls into a limbo of poor execution, making it clear that it is nothing more than a copycat.
It would be incredible to see a game inspired by Bioshock succeed. When it was announced at E3 2016, We Happy Few showcased striking elements of horror, an intriguing premise, and had great potential. It was developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox Publishing for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We Happy Few is a game that blends several genres: stealth, survival, adventure, horror, and RPG.…

Relic Hunter Legend
So i got a copy to test from gametester of Relic Hunter Legend: First check out the video i uploaded
youtube
Now i like it that it has a actual story in the game (atleast in the begining) and i hope it will going trough the whole game like that.
I played almost 2 hours and i didn't find any major bugs and problems (a little bugs was a special mission going under a other one.
When you go out of the tutorial you get dropped in a city with allot of explanatios, wich you need and the main hub i would say, from there you can do all the missions.
Going in a missions people can join and play with you at that time and it's actually fun just be carefull as some enemies you have to come back later as they are to strong in the begining.
Pro's:
Story Based
Easy to use
Allot of explanation
Visuals are good
Leveling Up
No major bugs/crashes (So Far)
...
Con's:
One graphic bug
I really recomend the game or try to get in the beta to try it, i know for sure you will enjoy this game allot, especially with friends.

Hearing about Volition's abrupt shuttering has left me in a weird empty, mourning mood tonight.
When I first started playing Saints Row: The Third almost exactly ten years ago, little would I know how much it'd end up changing my life. I found my best friends through Saints Row's Tumblr community, friends I keep up with daily even though all of us have since moved on to different fandoms. I got to know many other amazing people in the community, through all the shared art and headcanons and roleplays. And I got deeply invested in the creation and development of my OCs, these silly and badass and tragic imaginary people who shared my headspace almost every waking moment of my life for several years.
All this I got from a game series its studio had clearly poured their hearts and souls into, even through all the constant corporate meddling in the development processes over what must have been the last fifteen years, and now finally, a sudden death knell. Volition the studio is no more, its staff laid off without warning or fanfare. And it's just so unfair to everyone who'd worked on the games, and I hate that it's yet more proof (as if we didn't have enough already) that the current system of giant game publisher oligopolies gobbling up everyone they can get their hands on and then taking them behind the shed to be shot when they don't immediately return a double of their investment just shouldn't. fucking. exist.
It sucks. I don't have much more to say except that I hope the now ex-Volition game developers all end up finding new and maybe even better employers soon. And just maybe there'll be some new studio rising from the core of the Volition creative team. We'll see.
