Quick Life Update
Hello hello, my fellow internet urchins! I know activity here’s always extremely sporadic, and that’s not gonna change in the near or moderately distant future (unless I suddenly acquire incredible time management skills but...ha), BUT I figured since I’ve got an impromptu day off it might be worth sticking an interim update here in case I go months without a peep, so here’s what’s been happening lately:
Moved countries and continents again!
Started a new job for better or for worse lol
Found and am currently wading between at least three new(-ish) obsessions (which will hopefully surface here at some point instead of staying on the backburner indefinitely)
Forgot how to draw :(
RE-LEARNED HOW TO DRAW
Smooched death on the cheek twice in completely unrelated events of varying degrees of stupidity*
(...Okay that’s a much smaller list than I expected, it feels like it’s been a year but I guess it’s only been a bit under two months XD)
Anyhow, expect some long overdue reblogs coming this way as well as some artwork, old and new! It will probably be irrelevant to pretty much all of y’all who are still here but if you’ve been here a while I trust you know this is part and parcel of this blog skjdhfsk
#*the first incident was objectively the more stupid and avoidable one and I'm still smad about it#but less of a ‘smooch death on the cheek’ than a ‘standing at the crosswalk and the hooded figure with the scythe across the street—#‘— winks at you just as a bus passes then disappears’#I'M SORRY VAN YOU DESERVED A BETTER END THAN THAT#the second one I'm PRETTY sure was not my fault#but the river gods demanded a sacrifice and my brand new glasses took up the mantle in my stead#thanks a lot river gods >:/#I only had them for two days and now the case is all alone...#but the river guide said I got Extra Cool Points for not freaking out and giving them a thumbs up while the rapids were spinning me around#so I'll take that as a win#I'm glad I wasn't the one watching though it would've been so stressful from the other side haha#anyways all that to say that if I ever learn how to WRITE again I'm definitely using that sensation it was super interesting#Cheese's personal molasses#anyways the new obsessions are sxf and orv#and also pokemon but that's more of a long-term one that comes and goes#anyways#as I'm sure you are all well aware#general current global events are Extremely Present and Stressful at All Times#so in the interest of not becoming puddle of anxiety and existential dread some of that won't be here for the next while#because while I'd like to keep up with current events both offline AND online I would also like to actually Show Up for my job#and at the moment that is taking up more mental bandwidth than expected#so for the time being this will primarily be an escape#with the odd bit of Relevant Life Stuff here and there#ANYWAYS THAT'S THAT HOPE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WELL OR WILL BE WELL#AND I'M GLAD YOU'RE STILL ALIVE

Powerful Galaxy S23 FE with Exynos 2200 Wins 3DMark Tests!
Tumblr media
Galaxy S23 FE With Exynos 2200
Many people would say that Samsung made a poor choice by equipping the Samsung S23 FE with the Exynos 2200 processor, but a number of tests have demonstrated that the price-to-performance ratio of the device allows it to keep its CPU performance at an extremely high level. It would appear that certain refinements in the production process of the Exynos 2200 and maybe an update to the cooling technology could be the explanation for this significant shift in results.
The performance stability of the Exynos 2200, which is used in the Galaxy S23 FE, is superior to that of Google’s Tensor G3.
Even though we were not able to have a look on the inside of the Galaxy S23 FE, it is conceivable that the installation of a vapor chamber helped to stabilize the Exynos 2200’s performance. This is a possibility, but it cannot be confirmed. There is also a possibility that Samsung utilized a more refined production method in order to manufacture the Exynos 2200 in large quantities.
In any event, RON TEK put the Galaxy S23 FE through a battery of benchmarking and stability tests, although we concentrated mostly on the latter since we wanted to see the effects of employing silicon from an older generation, which was frequently criticized for its tendency to overheat. When the Galaxy S23 FE concluded the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme stress test, we were truly amazed to see that it was able to sustain more than 75 percent of its actual performance throughout the whole test.
The Exynos 2400 from Samsung is the company’s next high-end system on a chip (SoC), and it was formally introduced in 2024 despite the fact that Samsung skipped the announcement of a chipset this year. It has various advancements in comparison to the Exynos 2200. Let’s speak about what Samsung had to say at the launch of the new chip, which took place during the company’s System LSI Tech Day. While we do not have access to all of the facts, we can discuss what was said.
According to the information provided by the firm, the event featured a live demonstration that demonstrated the capabilities of the RDNA3-based Xclipse 940 GPU as well as its ray-tracing capabilities. Samsung claims that its new graphics processor is capable of delivering visual features like as global lighting, reflection, and shadow casting, however the company did not present any numerical evidence to support this claim. Both the A17 Pro and the A17 chipset offer hardware-accelerated ray tracing, so it will be fascinating to compare and contrast how well one chipset performs in comparison to the other.
According to Samsung, the Exynos 2400 can produce a significant 70 percent gain in compute performance and a 14.7 times increase in AI performance when compared to the Exynos 2200. This is perhaps the most impressive performance that has been achieved this year in any sector. Text-to-image AI creation was also shown by Samsung utilizing the Exynos 2400 reference board. In addition, Samsung debuted a brand new AI tool that was developed specifically for forthcoming mobile devices.
Even when subjected to the CPU throttling test, the Exynos 2200 only managed to run at 74% of its full potential. The fascinating part is that the Exynos 2200 actually performs better than the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro when they are both running the Tensor G3 processor. These devices were put through the standard version of the 3DMark Wild Life test, not the ‘Extreme’ option. Previous disassembly videos allowed us to determine that Google did not incorporate a vapor chamber into any of their main products for the current year.
If we are to assume that both the Exynos 2200 and the Tensor G3 have been manufactured in mass quantities using Samsung’s 4nm LPP (Low Power Plus) technology, then the incorporation of the vapor chamber into the Galaxy S23 FE may have been the deciding factor in the outcome of the competition. If you are interested in learning more about Samsung’s most recent smartphone, you may watch the complete video that is located above this paragraph, and then let us know what you think of it.

My setting is like the real world but with various mythical otherworlds secretly connected to ours. One character with powers of psychic illusion was raised by an MiB-style intelligence and/or secret police force (tasked with keeping otherworldly beings from causing trouble in our world) that trained her to mentally torture people. I want to make this character somewhat sympathetic, so it is plausible for her to be indoctrinated as a torturer from childhood? Does it depend how young they start?
Anon I don’t think this is a good idea. There’s an awful lot to unpack here about why that is so I’m going to start off with a simple question that effects how you move forward: what’s most important for you about this character?
Is it that she’s sympathetic? That she’s effective at her job? That she’s highly skilled and trained? That she’s part of a productive organisation that can actually do the tasks it sets out to?
Because if she’s a torturer then realistically she would be none of those things. And making her any of them is (in my opinion) torture apologia: because it is portraying a torturer in an extremely unrealistic way that favours the torturer and excuses the abuse they carry out.
You would, literally, be repeating lies popularised by real life torturers.
Torture does not work. It is impossible to get accurate, timely information by using torture. Here’s an introduction to why. Here’s a post on what torture does to investigations. Here’s a guide to writing what torture does to interrogations. Here’s a list of investigative strategies that actually work. Here’s a post on the damage torture does to human memory. Please read these masterposts and take a look at my sources as well.
Torturers are not indoctrinated radicals. The organisations that torturers are part of actively try to screen out anything they see as radical, deviant or a product of illness. There aren’t enough studies on torturers for me to give you a break down of their politics but my impression from the anecdotes and interviews I’ve read? Their politics is ‘normal’ and mainstream for the organisation they are part of. Whatever that organisation is.
Torturers are not taught from a young age because torture is not complex. It does not take months to learn how to hit someone. Torturers learn on the job by assisting other torturers.
Torture is simple. It is functionally easy. I really can’t stress that enough. The most common tortures globally right now are: hitting people, depriving them of food and depriving them of sleep. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that six year olds could come up with that list.
Hurting people is not complicated. It requires no skill and no training.
The evidence we have suggests torturers lose skills as they turn to torture, a process Rejali calls ‘de-skilling’. The basic idea is pretty simple: if you spend all day hitting people instead of practicing what you were trained for (gathering evidence for example) you get so out of practice that you start to forget how to do those things.
And then there’s the effect that torture has on torturers. They get symptoms. They develop lasting, serious, mental health problems which directly effect their ability to do their jobs.
I have a list of the common symptoms here as well as a rough guide for how many symptoms you should be considering for torturers and torture survivors.
Separate to the symptoms is the general pattern of behaviour torturers exhibit. We don’t have a lot of high quality studies on torturers and there are a lot of questions we do not have clear answers to. However the studies and the anecdotal evidence of survivors, witnesses and torturers themselves points to some consistent behaviours.
Torturers don’t work alone. They form little sub-cultures within larger organisations. These groups are incredibly aggressive, competitive, self-important, hyper-masculine and violent. Torturers look down on everybody else. They are convinced that they are the most important people in their organisation, the only one’s doing ‘real work’. They have an arrogant, puffed up pride that combines with mental illness and seeing their colleagues as competition to create the worst asshole you’ve ever had the misfortune of working with.
They do not cooperate with other people. They use abuse as a pissing contest, competing to see who can be the most brutal in order to try and ‘impress’ fellow torturers.
They define strength and group loyalty by hurting other people.
They have a fracturing effect on organisations, because they don’t obey orders and see their colleagues as competition or useless. At the low end of the scale this means cliques, secrets from the larger organisation and a terrible working environment as they bully and belittle their colleagues. At the high end of the scale there are cases where torturers have attacked and murdered people within the same organisation.
Does any of that sound sympathetic?
I like a challenge when I write. I’ve described my writing style as ‘hold my beer’ because I tend to take ideas other people dismiss as impossible to pull off and try my best to make them work. I do this because I love exploring human complexity through fiction.
A torturer who is currently torturing is not a sympathetic person. They are a bullying, violent, arrogant brute who contributes nothing useful to the organisation they latch on to, sucking up time and resources like a tick. They see other people as garbage. And they lack insight into their own crimes. Which means they do not appreciate or acknowledge the pain and damage they cause.
Now I have written a character who is an ex-torturer who I think is sympathetic in some ways. But getting to the point where they could be sympathetic meant them having to leave the organisation they were part of on a stretcher.
Their fellow torturers turned on them. They lost a leg. They changed sides and in the middle of a messy civil war they dedicated themselves to keeping their friend’s children safe.
And I had to set the story twenty years after these events to get that character out of their own ass enough for them to be sympathetic.
Even then, I’d say they’re sympathetic in spite of having been a torturer. Because they’re still clinging to that insistence that they did something meaningful. They still can’t accept the extent of their own crimes or the effects those crimes had.
But their pride broke. And they did keep those children alive. They helped raise them. And the tie to those children is what makes them sympathetic by the time of the story.
Torturers are not sympathetic people. They are self absorbed abusers who bend over backwards to downplay the harm they did to their victims and to justify their crimes.
Is that really what you want to write?
I say that, not to be harsh, but because it sounds to me as though what you actually want to write is a genuine investigator with psychic powers.
It sounds as though you want to write a character who is good at her job. Who is skilled and dedicated and a great person to work with.
If that’s the case my advice is to ditch the torture entirely. Look at the masterpost on genuine investigation instead and write a character who is good at interviewing people.
Have her use her psychic powers to present herself as sympathetic to the criminals she’s interviewing. Because she can walk into a room and know their politics, their religious beliefs, their internal justifications for what they’ve done. And she can use that, may be even manipulatively, to seem like someone the prisoner would like, someone they’d agree with.
 That gets people talking.
And if you want to show her as ruthless, as having an edge to her, that can still work.
Imagine someone sitting down across from a suspect, holding their hands, smiling, talking to them gently. Imagine them gradually, kindly, getting this suspect’s life story. Imagine them being sympathetic about the reason the suspect murdered someone, validating the murder’s feelings and may be even actions… Right up until they have the information they need.
Then they turn on a dime. The persona drops, the false-sympathy drains away. They stand up with a sneer and say they hope the murderer never sees the light of day again. And walk out.
Think about what you want from the story Anon. A character who tortures, or a character who is competent, smart and sympathetic.
Because it really is one or the other.

1. What is one thing you will never do again? Watch The Hours. Film itself is great, but is way too triggering.
2. Would you rather be twice as smart or twice as happy? I’d take happiness easily. It’s not bad for the most part to make mistakes and I’d rather be too clumsy than be altogether miserable.
3. What happened the last time you cried? It was the day of what would’ve been our anniversary and at that moment I was alone in my car at a parking lot (waiting for the office to open) on a gloomy day. I just had to cry and let my feelings out for like 5 minutes to accept everything but I was immediately fine afterwards, haha. Grief can be funny.
4. What happened the time in your life when you were the most nervous to do something? My first job interview. It was my first adult thing ever. They never got back to me - very professional of them - but I was still grateful for the experience nonetheless.
5. What would your parents be surprised to learn about you? That I was in a whole ass relationship for technically 6 1/2 years. They probably have an inkling by now, but only about me being in a relationship. I’m sure they would be very surprised if they ever found out how long it had actually gone for.
6. What’s your worst habit? I pick at my toenails when I’m nervous or stressed. I tend to do this when I’m doing a work task that I particularly dread, and sometimes I’ll end up being fixated on the habit for like 10 minutes straight and not get anything done.
7. What superpower would you have for one day? Time travel, just to take quick trips to multiple decades and see how life was like during those times.
8. What fictional character do you have the biggest crush on? Matty from 13 Going on 30 would be one of them. Albert Finney’s character in Two for the Road is also charming as fuck.
9. Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world? If money wasn’t an issue, probably somewhere cozy in like Switzerland or Canada.
10. What is your most bizarre pet peeve? Not necessarily a pet peeve but I get extremely uncomfortable when someone hands me a gift then they insult the gift while in front of me, saying it’s not a great gift or that I probably don’t need it, etc. Filipinos also have this habit of saying something along the lines of, “You earn way more than me so you’d probably think this gift sucks” like how do you want me to react :(((((( I love receiving gifts and the idea of being thought about already means a lot to me, so it just makes me wince a little bit when I hear statements like the above.
11. Who knows you the best? Gabie, probably. I’ve changed a lot since then, though.
12. What after school activities did you do in high school? Clubs were mandatory extracurricular activities in my high school; in my time, I joined the table tennis and yearbook clubs.
13. What “most likely to” superlative would you be most honored to receive? Idk, we didn’t have those in school. I probably would have been honored to get a journalism-themed one though; something like Most Likely To Write for NYT or Most Likely to Win a Pulitzer or something like that. Obviously that’s changed now and I’ve long let go of journalism as a passion.
14. What’s the last book you really loved? I haven’t read in a long, long while.
15. What was the greatest television show of all time? I don’t watch a lot of TV so I’m not the most credible decision-making body for this lol, but out of all the shows I’ve watched the best one would easily be Breaking Bad.
16. What’s been your favorite age so far? 16. Life was insanely easygoing back then and everything fell into place for me at the time.
17. If you could go back in time, what is one piece of advice you would give your younger self? Know when it’s enough. Be kind to yourself.
18. What one thing would you be most disappointed if you never got to experience it? Have kids.
19. Apologize or ask permission? I don’t understand the relationship between the two.
20. Unlimited love or money? I would love to never have to worry about finances ever again.
21. If you knew you would die in one week, what would you do? Take a week-long leave for work, spend all my money, bond with my dogs, throw a party for my closest friends, and honestly, make my peace with her.
22. What’s your most listened to song? Spotify doesn’t show that feature, but I bet it’s from Paramore or Hayley anyway. It would be impossible to know my most-listened to song of all time, like if we took into account my Spotify, iTunes, etc.
23. Beach vacation or European vacation? I need a beach vacation badly, but a European vacation would be a new and different experience. I’d take the latter.
24. If you could have been a child prodigy what would you have wanted to be skilled at? Playing the piano.
25. What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? Depends on how much I won lmao. I’d probably retire this early if the money was big enough since I’m pretty stingy anyway. But generally, I would like to pay off whatever bills my parents are currently paying for, get back the car that we had to sell because of the pandemic, and maybe go for a solo vacation or five heheh.
26. What celebrity would you trade lives with? Kylie Jenner, for a day. Just so I can briefly have a taste of how being that rich is like.
27. If you were a performing artist, what would you title your first album? Nope.
28. What story do your friends still give you crap about? Staying with Gab despite the red flags that glared for four whole years is one of them. Angela will also never let go of that one time I tried some kind of fruit juice in high school and I described it as ‘packs a punch.’ It’s understood as a super Westernized idiom where I live and literally no one uses it in a casual sentence, so it was a hit with her and now we use ‘packs a punch’ whenever we want to describe something awesome or surprising.
29. If earth could only have one condiment for the rest of time, what would you pick to keep around? Mayonnaise and I will die on this mayonnaise-coated hill.
30. What is the ideal number of people to have over on a Friday night? Ideally? At this point? Like 20. I would love for that to be the case on the first Friday we can consider the Philippines COVID-free.
31. What was the worst age you’ve been so far? Sorry for yet another incoming Paramore reference but they literally have a lyric that goes, “22 is like, the worst idea that I have ever had.” Before turning 22 I used to think it was a weird line, like how could 22 possibly be unenjoyable? Now I’m 22 in a pandemic going through a rough breakup and I can’t even see my friends nor work in my first workplace ever.
32. What is your weirdest dealbreaker? If they wanted only cats as pets. I can deal with a dog and a cat, I guess; but cats were never fond of me so I feel like I’d struggle with this situation lol.
33. What fictional character reminds you most of yourself? Mr. Peanutbutterrrrrrr. Has a lot of love to give, doesn’t always use it on the right people. Also lives on pleasing others.
34. Do you believe in karma? Just to a tiny extent, in how I would want people’s awful actions to come bite them in the ass one day. It’s not a philosophy that controls my life and the things I do whatsoever.
35. What was your favorite TV show as a kid? My absolute favorite was Hi-5, with the original cast. As I got older my interests shifted to Spongebob and The Fairly OddParents.
36. What is the weirdest thing you find attractive in a person? I don’t think it’s weird, but I don’t hear thighs too often when people list down their favorite physical traits. It’s certainly one of mine.
37. What Jeopardy! category would you clear, no problem? A Friends-themed one, obviously. This reminds me of the Jeopardy night I had with some friends a few nights ago! That was so much fun, and Andi makes really great and fun questions hahaha.
38. What is something you’re superstitious about? I don’t think I am about anything.
39. What is the scariest experience you have ever had? Maybe that night my grandpa went into a drunk rampage. I was 9, right in his line of sight, frozen and scared shitless, and I didn’t know who he was going to strike next.
40. Who is a non-politician you wish would run for office? I never really think about this. If someone’s a non-politician then there must be a reason they aren’t, lol.
41. What cheesey song do you have memorized? Little Things by One Direction is very cheesy and it’s one of my least favorite songs of theirs, but I still have it memorized out of habit.
42. What one dead person would you most like to have dinner with, if it were possible? My great-grandpa died all the way back in the 70s, even before some of my aunts and uncles could meet him. It would be cool to spend time with him.
43. Do you think it’s important to stay up to date with the news? Yeah, absolutely. I have the stomach for it lol, so I always monitor what’s happening locally and globally. Skipping the news from time to time is fine because I get how anxiety-inducing and depressing some events can be, but there’s a huge difference between ignoring the news for your mental health and being indifferent altogether. I’d immediately judge anyone who’s the latter, and would assume you are incredibly privileged.
44. What is the best present you could ever receive? My money refunded -____________- I had food delivered to my director, Bea’s house as a surprise earlier today, but apparently I ran into a scammer driver and the fucker drove away with the meal I had bought for Bea. I reported the driver and the situation, and thankfully the customer service rep of the food delivery app quickly responded and said they’d return the full amount I paid for; but I still haven’t received it.
45. Would you give up one of your fingers if it meant you’d have free wifi wherever you go, for the rest of your life? No. Mobile data exists for a reason.
46. What’s the first thing you’d do if you were the opposite sex for one day? Check out my voice.
47. If someone told you you could give one person a present and your budget was unlimited–what present would you get and for whom? I’d love to surprise Angela with an overseas trip that would last for like a month. Traveling is one thing we have yet to do as best friends.
48. What is the nicest thing someone could say about you? Nothing particular, but it makes me happy when people call me strong and when they validate the shit I’ve gone through over the years.
49. Giant house in a subdivision or tiny house somewhere with a view? I would take the giant house. When it comes to my own place, I would want to have a lot of space to roam around.
50. What is the weirdest quirk your family has? Nothing is coming to mind.

Active Body Means Active Mind -Fitness Guide for Teachers
Tumblr media
Ecole Globale said that teacher's jobs may be satisfying and interesting, however, can even be full of stress, anxiety and long hours. you'll have lots of opportunities to exercise your brain, however being on the spot at eight o'clock and having uncountable reasons to remain in school late or do some additional work leave very little time to require care of your physical fitness. You can not simply let it slide and say that you get enough exercise straining your brain – several studies are placing a direct connection between physical fitness and brain health.
In alternative words, if you wish your mind to be in proper condition to handle all the challenges your faculty career throws at you, you must take measures to remain fit– and that we will show you ways.
Be Active At School:
If you've got to spend a lot of your time in school along with your students, why not build this time count? Become involved in as several active parts of school life as possible: it should be extracurricular activities, trips, hikes, sports events, and additional. You'll be not simply in a better physical condition; however, establish new bonds along with your students as well. Boarding schools in India also focus on the student that they are active or not that's why they provide extracurricular activities for their boarding campus students.
Establish a Home workout Program:
Taking care of your body doesn't necessarily need to involve an expensive and hard-to-manage gymnasium subscription. If you don't have the time or chance to go to another a part of the city for a coaching session or will already make sure that your schedule is too uneven to accommodate three evenly spaced such visits every week, you must take matters in your own hands and prepare a suitable home workout program. Thus, you'll be ready to take into account your specific conditions and keep yourself fit without disrupting your timetable.
Teach yourself to get up Early:
Those who have already got to get up early and suffer really from it typically notice that moving their rising time even earlier will wonder to their productivity and fitness. It should sound paradoxical; however, if you presently feel worn out due to lack of sleep and apathetic throughout the day, strive to get up before six o'clock and doing exercises (e.g., jogging or swimming). It'll teach you to go to bed earlier, force you to urge active physically and get lots of sunshine first thing within the morning, and improve your overall energy levels.
Introduce Physical Activity into Your Commute:
You have to go to work every day, thus why not build it more useful? Some lecturers (and several others) solve the matter of finding time for exercise by jogging or athletics to school each day. Don't be terrified of wanting undignified – on the contrary, such activity demonstrates your resolve and force of character, including sets a wonderful example for your students to follow.
Introduce Short Activity into Your Routine
Some studies show that a brief burst of extremely strenuous physical activity (e.g., as short as sixty seconds) will prove to be as successful at improving fitness and health as forty-five minutes of moderately paced exercise. What it accounts to is that you don't need to set aside huge chunks of your time to stay yourself match – a second or two interspersed throughout your day currently then will do exactly as much, as long as you are doing it right.
Fitness and physical activity are necessary for lecturers not simply due to obvious reasons (health, quality of life, etc.); however conjointly as a result of you serve as an example for the younger generation. And showing adherence to a healthy manner is strictly what we'd like in this age of widespread obesity and heart disease.

BC: Gold or Gunfire: Hedging Against the Collapse of the Dollar BC stands for NEO’s Banned Classic. This article was originally published by our journal on 27.10.14. For some reason, this article is missing from Google search results. Since this article remains pretty relevant to those geopolitical events that are taking place on the geopolitical stage today, we deem it possible to present it to our readers once again. Should it go missing again, you may be confident that you will see it republished by NEO once more, should it still remain relevant by that time. A global economic collapse has become unavoidable, said former chief economist of the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) William White in response to the BIS’ quarterly report in September 2013. Experts forecast that a global economic collapse may occur, overnight, some time at the end of 2014 or in 2015. The fact that private interests are holding the US Federal Reserve and the Central Bank of England as well as the Bretton Woods institutions in a state of capture makes it improbable that the governments of the USA, UK and EU could prevent a collapse. Their policies have remained largely unchanged since early 2013, when the Deputy Governor of China’s National Bank, Yi Gang, stressed that China does not look forward to an economic war, but that it is prepared for it. BRICS member states have since then capitalized the BRICS Development Bank; the US/UK axis and the EU have launched a war of sanctions against Russia and a civil war in Ukraine. In 2014, China began opening its banking sector for foreign investments and banking at an unprecedented scale; Australia is in a quagmire between US pressure and the trend to make use of attractive and safer Chinese opportunities. Thailand, Malaysia and other economies are increasingly encouraging their traders and investors to study the Chinese market. With the Bretton Woods system at the brink of possible collapse and conflicts looming, gold and the new gold-based economies are catching the, in some cases more, in some cases less hesitant attention of governments worldwide. The trend is, however reluctantly it is accepted, impossible to ignore. China overtook the U.S.’ as the world’s leading economy measured in buying power and is poised to become No.1 measured in GDP within a bout one year too, reports the IMF. Avoiding Confusion of Principles. Fiat vs. Gold. Fiat currencies are not necessarily more unstable than commodity-backed currencies. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Commodities, for example gold, have an inherent value due to the physical presence and the value of labor that has to be invested in mining and refining gold. One problem with gold is that it is as finite as other commodities and that it is not equally distributed across the globe. Gold is, in other words, no panacea against resource-driven geopolitics and conflict. Fiat currencies are, in principle, not finite. To infinitely print fiat currency without backing it with values like commodities, goods, labor force, or by means of a production potential implies that powers with greater military might may be tempted to force others to accept an, in principle, valueless fiat currency that could as well be counterfeit. The US, its militarily backed geopolitics and the fact that it repeatedly forced other nations like Iraq to either accept the dollar for international settlements or face war, while the US is basically producing counterfeit to settle its bills; the use of euphemisms like quantitative easing to cover-up a failed counterfeit-like policy is a good example for fiat currencies inherent problems and risks. While fiat currencies are not necessarily better or worse than gold-backed systems, the greatest problem with using fiat currencies for economic settlements between nations is rather the fact that some national banks are privately-owned; That is, that its owners are part of rogue networks which hold the government in a state of capture. The same holds true with regard to the Bretton Woods institutions like the IMF and the World Bank. Other national economies run well on fiat currencies, provided that the national bank is actually national and that the currency is not created as debt. The current “run” for gold is, in other words, not caused by inherent and superior advantages of gold-backed economies, but rather by the conflict-based dynamics of current international politics. An Illusion that a Market under Pressure can retain Liquidity. The realistically pessimistic Quarterly Report of the Bank for International Settlements, in September 2013, pointed at the US Federal Reserve Bank’s and European Central Bank’s quantitative easing as one of the primary factors which could cause a global economic collapse. Experts agreed that the Federal Reserve and the European Central Banks had lost control over the deluge of money and debt which they create. The BIS report noted, in so many words, that it had become impossible for the US Federal Reserve and the European Central Banks to get the paste back into the tube again while the, at that time, Federal Reserve Governor Ben Bernanke continued stepping on the tube. The former BIS Chief Economist William White warned, unequivocally, that the world is headed for an unavoidable global economic crash. White noted that the global credit bubble was about to burst and that the percentage level of extreme risk loans was at an all-times-high of 45 percent in the middle of 2013. That is, the interest for extreme risk loans was ten percent higher than it was at the onset of the global economic crisis in 2007. Speaking with The Telegraph, White added that the situation in 2013 was worse that it was prior to the crash of Lehmann Brothers. The newspaper quoted White as saying “All the previous imbalances are still there. Total public and private debt levels are 30 percent higher as a share of GDP in the advanced economies than they were then, and we have added a whole new problem with bubbles in emerging markets that are embedding in a boom bust cycle”. White forecast that an economic collapse could come overnight, adding that the trouble is, that the US’ financial policy has become unpredictable, and that it is an illusion to believe that a market under stress can retain its liquidity. US liquidity problems also became obvious in 2013, when the Federal Reserve rejected German auditors who had come to audit Germany’s gold reserves in the United States. In 2013, Germany, like many others, began hedging against the expected economic crash by attempting to repatriate the lion share of its gold reserves. The German Federal Bank and the government responded to the rejection by demanding the repatriation of the German gold from the US to Germany. The U.S. responded by informing Germany that it only could deliver the gold back in portions, final delivery by 2020. The US has since begun delivering portions, but informed the German Federal Bank that it had to smelt the bars before delivery. The gold bars Germany has since received could, in other words, not be identified by the serial numbers. The re-refinement process also removed the chemical fingerprint by which the gold otherwise could have been identified as being the gold Germany had deposited in the United States. It could, in other words, just as well have received gold that was stolen from Libya in 2011. An ironic article, entitled “Germany’s Gold and the Fed for Dummies” describes the situation by using an allegory. A biker mugs the owner of a Ferrari, crushes his bones, then steals the car, saying, “look how dangerous the world is, let me take care of that beautiful Ferrari for you”. When the owner has recovered and asks to get his car back he’s first rejected. After that, he’s allowed to see the engine, without serial number, then a steering wheel, and at the end he gets back spare parts which may, or may not come form his car. Final part plus car key to be delivered in seven years. Needless to say that the US lacks liquidity. Many analysts note that the US sold off most of the gold it was supposed to keep in store for other nations. The theft could be covered up as long as it was possible to maintain the status quo of the (f)ailing Bretton Woods system. China prepared for an Economic War. The Deputy Governor of China’s National Bank, Yi Gang, stated earlier that year, that China was fully prepared to face a currency war, if necessary. The Chinese Xinhua news agency quoted Yi Gang as saying: “China is fully prepared in terms of monetary policies and other mechanisms, to deal with a possible currency war, and China will take full account of the quantitative easing policy conducted by the central banks of some countries”. China has since then, prudently, begun to shed US dollars by using dollars to secure valuable assets in western economies, expanded the scope of its import of strategic resources, invested in partnerships to secure resources and production partnerships in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and all of that at a previously unprecedented scale. While the US, the United Kingdom and the EU continued their “quantitative easing”, their exit strategy to escape the looming collapse was, generally speaking, the creation of conflict as a means to perpetuate that failing glorious New American Century a little bit longer. The US/U K’s project to prevent the building of the Iran – Iraq – Syria gas pipeline with the goal to create insecurity about the delivery of Iranian gas to Europe; The deep state involvement in manufacturing the crisis in Ukraine, aiming at the creation of insecurity about the delivery of Russian gas to Europe; The attempt to force Europe into a dependency on US -American shale gas and shale oil deliveries while containing Moscow; All of the above are illegitimate responses to legitimate economic problems. They are also, responses which are inherently dangerous and inherently unlikely to result in a successful prevention or at least mitigation of a global economic meltdown and the end of the Bretton Woods monetary system. Also in 2013, while experts warned that a global economic collapse had become unavoidable and while others already noted that the US/UK failure to win the Syria war by July 2012 would lead to a conflict in Ukraine, the BRICS member states met on the sidelines of the G20 in St. Petersburg, Russia, and agreed to establish a BRICS Development Bank as complement to the IMF and World Bank systems. In July 2014, the BRICS Development Bank was capitalized with 100 billion US dollar. Moreover, the conflict in Ukraine had brought Russia and China closer together with regard to cooperation in the economic sector, the energy sector, as well as with regard to security. China’s Opening: Gravitating towards the New, Gold-backed Economies. China responded to the plausibility of the global economic crash by relatively swift and comprehensive deregulation with regard to foreign investment and trade. China was, however, prudent enough to secure the State’s control over the national economy and over the currency. China’s opening did not go unnoticed. In July 2014, the Assistant Governor of the Financial Market Operations Group of the Bank of Thailand (BOT), Chantarvan Sucharitakul, for example, held a seminar for Thai investors and businessmen. Chantarvan encouraged Thai investors, saying that they should investigate the advantages of the use of the yuan in terms of payments when doing business with China. Chantarvan said: “Presently the use of the Chinese yuan in Thailand is not widespread since only 1 percent of the total14 percent of Thailand’s trade activities with China is traded by using the renminbi (RNB)… However, this rate is increasing fast, and therefore Thai investors should learn how to use the additional trading channel because the yuan’s importance and popularity will increase in the future even though it is not widely accepted and fully liberated at the moment”. Similar developments are seen in Malaysia, Indonesia and several other Asian countries. This development does not happen without stiff US resistance. Thailand went through a severe crisis in 2014, when popular opposition against the government of Yingluck Shinavatra and the government’s defiance with regard to passing an amnesty law for her brother Taksin Shinawatra developed into a protracted standoff and ultimately a majority-backed intervention by Thailand’s military. Former PM Taksin Shinawatra, who admitted that he was governing the country from abroad via his sister Yingluck, fled Thailand after he was sentenced on charges of corruption. The development was met with a failed attempt to create a civil war in Thailand, backed by Wall Street and London elites and the imposition of US sanctions. The United States as well as Wall Street and City of London lobbies are less blunt when it comes to nations like Australia. Arguably, the fact that a predominantly Caucasian populated/dominated nation like Australia is treated with a soft-power approach while the US/UK perceive it as more legitimate to attempt to subvert Thailand by means of violence is a sign of the entrenched racism that is observable in the UK as well as in the USA. Soft power or not; US pressure against Australia’s attempt to act in the best interest of Australians is putting the Australian government into a quagmire. In October 2014, Australian journalist Michelle Grattan would report that senior Australian cabinet members are believed to be divided over whether Australia should sign up to an internationally funded infrastructure development bank that China is set to launch in November 2014. Grattan noted that: “Australia has been under pressure from the United States not to participate in the new bank. … The Chinese plan is being viewed internationally in the wider geopolitical context of Chinese-US competition in the region. The Americans, who see the bank as potentially a way of China increasing its clout with countries in southeast Asia, have been strongly lobbying to keep out of it”. China, for its part, announced that it would offer funds to underdeveloped countries in the region for projects in the energy, telecommunication and transport sectors. China stated that it will initially fund the regional development bank with 50 billion US dollar, not yuan or the renminbi. The signals are clear. China is one of the greatest owners of US debt and dollars. China is shedding the dollar as fast, and as much of it as it can without tipping the (f)ailing dollar economies over the edge. Most importantly, China is investing these dollars in the strategic development of regional partnerships by aiding the economies of weaker nations like Laos, by opening its markets for investors and traders from Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, by fostering energy and security cooperation with Russia, by using Hong Kong as the basis for its economic opening. The 2014 conflict about political self-determination in Hong Kong must be seen within the perspective of China’s prudent, but rapid opening of its economy for foreign capital. Not unsurprisingly, it were the National Endowment for Democracy, the soft-power wing of the US State Department and the CIA which supported Hong Kong’s “Occupy Central” movement. The stage is set for a transition, whether it comes in the form of an overnight collapse or not. The one most significant driver of this transition is, arguably, not the inherent weakness of the US/UK’s and the Bretton Woods institutions debt-based monetary and economic system. The primary driver is, arguably, the fact that the governments of countries like Venezuela, Mozambique, Laos, Myanmar, and others perceive the soft-power approach of China as much less problematic and above all much less lethal and devastating than the envisioned “New American Century”. It’s like the choice between gold and gunfire. Before you acknowledge SharePoint Services from any supplier, you should be happy with the sort of assist you'll with being. The most ideal approach to do this is by asking the organization a couple of fundamental inquiries. Investigate!
5 Key Questions That You Need to Ask a SharePoint Consulting Company
Before you accept SharePoint services from any provider, you need to be satisfied with the kind of help you’ll be getting. The best way to do this is by asking the agency a few essential questions. Take a look!
1. Who Will Be Doing The Work? Will You Hire Other SharePoint Consulting Firms?
In the virtual and globalization world that we're at present living in, it's entirely expected for SharePoint administrations to be contracted and subcontracted. In this way, despite the fact that you might be consenting to an arrangement with one advisor or association, there's a decent possibility not a similar organization will do the task.
In the event that you just need advancement or coding work, workers for hire and subcontractors are not something to stress over. Be that as it may, it's a fundamental factor on the off chance that you need certain characters or people to connect straightforwardly with your end clients.
2. What Are Your SharePoint Consulting Payment Schedules and Fee Arrangements?
A decent number of SharePoint counseling offices work on hourly expenses something which, while interesting to a few, may deplete you a ton of cash (particularly in case you're running a little association or non-benefit). Whichever the case, there's no set in stone. All things considered, it's anything but's a business or inclination practice. The main thing you need to do is to concur on explicit task expectations or timetables.
3. Does Your Company Offer Unique SharePoint Features or Services?
Truly, nobody is a SharePoint counseling proficient in all things. It's wide to the point that it's actually difficult to see every last bit of it in spite of what you'll hear from certain organizations. In actuality, some are specialists in building Information Architecture, others dominate in SharePoint marking and work processes just as making interfaces to a large group of different frameworks.
All things considered, what you ought to consistently remember is that you'll never get any office which offers all SharePoint administrations. Eventually, it will boil down to the particular objectives you are attempting to accomplish. For example, in case you're searching for SharePoint record the board help, go for the association with the most involvement with that space.
4. Does Your Agency Provide ‘Soft’ SharePoint Implementation Features?
You should ensure that the SharePoint counseling administration isn't just a tech master yet in addition ready to help you in client administration or appropriation. Inability to do so implies that the whole execution will gain out of power, come up short and become the wellspring of jokes inside the association.
You should ensure that the SharePoint counseling administration isn't just a tech master yet in addition ready to help you in client administration or appropriation. Inability to do so implies that the whole execution will gain out of power, come up short and become the wellspring of jokes inside the association.
5. Which Project Method Does Your SharePoint Implementation Follow?
The expression, 'Rome was not implicit one day,' should come into your psyche at whatever point you consider getting SharePoint administrations. This kind of execution carries gigantic changes into the association, particularly from the administration point of view.
Hence, it's in every case great to guarantee that your SharePoint expert is tremendous with the advanced venture the board frameworks like Agile and Waterfall. It's nice to do this interaction in stages as it's anything but a superior input instrument from partners and improves the client selection framework.
5 Reasons Why You Need a Microsoft SharePoint Consulting Service for Your Non-Profit or Small Business
It's difficult to move your whole organization reports into one open area. You'll see that on occasion, things don't work out like they're assumed, and it's very disappointing. Truth be told, you may even need to dispose of the whole undertaking. We might want to console you of the significance of SharePoint administrations and furthermore why you need to counsel a certified organization for help.
1. SharePoint Implementation is Not like DropBox
Never befuddle SharePoint to DropBox or even Box. com. These are altogether various administrations with independent development ways. DropBox was made around the standard of effortlessness, and its motivation was cloud record sharing just as synchronizing reports across various gadgets like telephones, tablets, and PCs.
This is something which DropBox does amazingly well in addition to its UI takes a to some degree recognizable document structure. From a client selection perspective, it's anything but a generally consistent progress.
Then again, SharePoint administrations are intended to make autonomous and totally assorted biological systems of web parts that can help you in tackling distinctive business needs. Furthermore, they'll help you in improving your joint effort levels at an endeavor viewpoint. They were not made as capacity arrangements however extremely convoluted frameworks that exist all alone and interface with a few other business applications.
2. SharePoint Was Not Originally Built for Non-Profit or Small Businesses
It's difficult little measured associations that look for SharePoint counseling administrations. Since its dispatch back in 2001 until the year 2011, SharePoint was authorized and sold as a basic on-premise tech answer for both enormous size and medium associations. Such implied that you needed to have an unbending framework effectively set up so you can manage the cost of it.
It was only until 2011 when Microsoft opted to integrate it with the Office 365 cloud offering a feature that it become affordable and available to non-profit and small organizations. Today, both large-size organizations and medium companies have staff members who have dedicated their time to providing the best SharePoint services. They handle things such as administration, infrastructure creation, and developing the right interfaces and customizations.
3. SharePoint is Not a Simple Task or Something You Can Just Do by Yourself
A few group believe that they can dump documents from DropBox or old organization crashes into the SharePoint framework, and afterward share URLs with their workers. Assuming you likewise feel something similar, we exceptionally urge you to reevaluate getting a SharePoint counseling administration.
In truth, comparing SharePoint services to DropBox is like trying to compare an airplane with a bicycle. While many know how to ride a bike, not many can fly a plane with all its complicated electronics and technology. Following this analogy, let’s take SharePoint to be our airplane, a complex system with many pages, web parts, apps, navigation, document management solutions, and security encryptions.
4. There’s No Margin for Error with SharePoint
A few group believe that they can dump documents from DropBox or old organization crashes into the SharePoint framework, and afterward share URLs with their workers. Assuming you likewise feel something similar, we exceptionally urge you to reevaluate getting a SharePoint counseling administration.
5. It’s Difficult to keep up with the Current SharePoint Evolution
Another reason why you need to hire a SharePoint consulting firm is because this is a technological tool that never seems to ‘sit still.’ It keeps on changing, introducing new applications, customization options, and web parts. Over the past couple of years, new revisions have brought about changes in the user interface as well as improved ways of doing things.
Now, when such changes begin to happen, you’ll have little control over them. After all, SharePoint exists in the cloud and not in your server. It’s such a complex piece of tech with several LinkedIn conferences, meet-ups, and groups dedicated to it.
Therefore, unless you have a considerable amount of time aside from your daily duties, you’ll hardly have any time to learn about it. Luckily, with a SharePoint consulting agency, you have a company that understands the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of this continually evolving tool.
Conclusion
This is all you need to know when it comes to getting SharePoint Consulting Services. However, at the end of the day, whether you opt for the services of a SharePoint consulting firm or decide to carry out the implementation by yourself, one thing is clear. It should always be for the success of your large, small- sized or non-profit business. Otherwise, you’ll spend a lot of resources and end up with frustrating and discouraging results.

(Ir)rational investing
Summary
Human beings are generally not rational, and as an extension of that, they often do not make sound choices.
Emotions do have a place in successful investing.
Our emotions are all-encompassing and need to be acknowledged in our investment-making decisions.
INVESTORS (AND HUMAN BEINGS) ARE NOT ALWAYS RATIONAL
In particular, those who invest purely on how they feel emotionally about an investment, not an objective assessment by a trained analyst, a witty television personality like Jim Cramer, or even a Wall Street Journal article with a certain hell-bent opinion on your garden variety S&P 500 sector. And the fact that many of our decisions in life are based on our emotions, it can be extrapolated that many investment decisions are driven by emotions as well.  To be sure, ad nauseum, this could be seen in the late 1990's and early 2000’s when by the mere fact that a particular company had a presence on the Internet, which was still considered a new and exciting idea, meant that it was worthy of huge commitments of capital both by retail and institutional investors alike (yawn).
The psychology of rational and irrational investing lies in some concepts such as fight or flight.  Or, more specifically, our adrenal glands which help regulate our response to stress.  An awareness of the fight-flight-freeze response, and thus how our adrenaline helps and hinders our judgements, is important on so many levels, inside and outside of the daily grind of the stock market.  For example, how you deal with your temperamental ten year old not wanting to do his homework every night or trying nicely to ask your significant other to scooch over on the couch so you can stretch your legs a little more.  Both subtle, but real, examples of how we deal with our brimming emotions.  Fight or flight is an unconscious physiological reaction to stress. Basically, most of us are not always aware that we are reacting to external stimuli. At the office, whether it is someone we don’t care for walking by our desk, in the summer, an annoying yellow jacket buzzing around our head, or the dizzying daily events like seeing analysts’ reactions to disappointing guidance by Salesforce and then the stock plummeting 20 points after the session close. We react to these things in different ways, depending on the event, and depending on the person. For example, some folks do not care who walks by their desk at 9 am every morning or whether or not that person is someone they’d like to invite out for a drink after work. Others brood when a colleague of whom does not share the same political views about tax policy or climate change saunters past their cubicle with that same, annoying, shuffling walk at lunchtime every day. That is the essence of fight or flight. An event that causes an emotional disturbance due to our primal nature to save ourselves from being harmed or killed. Yep, that’s the one. When you’re watching Squawk Box one morning and Joe begins (again) to expound on why bond yields are headed upward, your fight or flight response could be: Hyperinflation! Oh geez, let me log on and sell 90% of my position in Tesla, move that into an Aggregate Bond Index fund, and put on a total return swap to hedge myself against a global depression. Is that rational? This investor doesn’t think so, but it’s all relative.
Other market watchers experience that same stimuli and react to it in different ways. It is likely due to a number of factors, including biology, nurture, and nature.  If you’ve been a trader since the 1980’s, your environment has conditioned you to experience stimuli such as this and have a certain, relatively muted, reaction. This could be said even in the event of a terrorist attack, another pandemic, or even a nuclear exchange (potentially). So, what some folks view as rational or irrational, others see it differently.  And rightly so.
Some may remember theGlobe.com which went public in November of 1998. The company was originally founded for programming the website itself. The day of the IPO the share price climbed from $9 to as high as $97, and at the end of the trading day, the company was valued at $840 million. The high valuation did not come from an objective or quantitative assessment. It was based on little more than the excitement and emotions investors had about making a quick buck based on a novel idea, with most not even knowing what the novel idea was, and to an even lesser extent, how the company was going to turn a profit. After the euphoria of the new Internet economy subsided, theGlobe.com stock eventually traded down to 10 cents a share in 2001, thus shrinking the valuation to a mere $4 million in the span of three years. Everyone knows that the dot-com bubble burst, the stock market crashed, and the S&P 500 index went negative for three consecutive calendar years from 2000 – 2002.  Conversely, who could've known the NASDAQ would rebound in 2003 and rise over 50%?  Probably more than you think.
This is not to say that factoring in emotions into investment decisions, or into life in fact, does not have its merits. In mid-2007 Apple released its first iPhone with a similar euphoria to the dot-com era.  The stock has since appreciated from a split-adjusted $5 per share to its current $116 price.  A great long term investment.  Is Apple the exception to the rule?  You could argue both sides.  Many will also remember a certain Mr. Blodget exclaiming that Amazon is on its way to $400 a share (gasp!).  That was December of 1998.  At the time, many said that would never happen and we're headed for a bubble, which we were.  However, we really couldn't have known at the time that Amazon's far reaching influence would include Wholefoods, a streaming service, and selling golden glass roses targeted towards Valentines Day.  And most know that although it took several decades, Amazon stock now trades around the $3,000 per share mark.  So, an extremely (or what seemed to be) emotionally-charged recommendation by a new analyst at the time, made many savvy long term investors a lot of money.  But not necessarily considered savvy investors at the time.  Cisco is a another dot-com survivor.  Their stock price declined 86% from its peak during the bust.  It currently trades at a 14x's multiple with a 3% dividend yield.  Hardly a high flyer.
We can agree on how important our emotions are in our personal lives.  We care deeply about our loved ones.  Some harbor distain for past and present politicians.  Depending on who you ask, is any of this productive? Or, just a plain waste of thought that lasts all of ten seconds.
As we all know, the emotions leading up to the housing bubble and financial crisis of 2008 caused banks to lower their lending standards.  The bubble came from lenders and homebuyers thinking that real estate would always go up and the exuberance surrounding that.  If a home doubled in value in two years, would you buy it?  The resounding answer was "yes".  Same idea time and time again.  Ultimately real estate went down and the bubble burst. Many large lenders and small homeowners went bankrupt.  Moreover, the left over carnage resulting from our exuberance often goes unnoticed.  Nomadland is a recent movie that won best picture for drama at the Golden Globes.  During the opening it states that in 2011, due to a falloff in demand for sheetrock, a plant was closed in Empire, Nevada after 88 years.  Within six months, "the Empire zip code....was discontinued."  A tragedy for many of whom relied on real estate construction just to stay alive.
The reality is that most investors know they invest at the wrong times and for the wrong reasons, and still do it.  In The Behavior Gap - Simple Ways to Stop Doing Dumb Things with Money, by Carl Richards, the author states, "....friends and colleagues...know their impulses to buy and sell are dangerous."  And during market downturns, Mr. Richards opines, "It's okay to be scared, but it's a bad idea to act on your fear."  Fear may be our most important emotion when it comes to affecting our investing mindset.  How else do you account for such extreme market volatility?  Certainly part can be attributed to fear.  Fear is a byproduct of our fight-flight-freeze response.  Fear was essential to our ancestors for survival purposes.  Faced with a rattlesnake, our fear caused us to do something, instantaneously, preserve our lives, and perpetuate the human species.  A survival mechanism.  But is it still useful?  When it comes to investing, not so much.
So what can our emotions teach us about investing? If we're too exuberant, we can cause bubbles. If we are too fearful, we may burst bubbles.  Maybe too many of us watch too much CNBC (fact), and our emotions may get intensified sitting on the couch as helpless spectators.
The question for most of us? Where are our emotions taking us now?  Are we bubbling up at this very moment?  When is this bubble coming and what will be the focus?  Government debt?  Student loan debt?  According to some, maybe it's a Tesla bubble bursting.  The more we understand our own emotions and how they affect our daily functioning, the better our investing decisions will be.  Keep in mind that we're all different and many folks have the utmost control over their emotions.  Consequently, those who can do that will earn higher incremental returns and live a longer, healthier life, with more fruitful finances. -Neil

A Look At November 2020

A Look At November 2020
The energy of November by nature connects us with our own personal abundance.  It opens up for us to see where we feel rich, where we have more than enough, and where we can feel some sort of ease and peace in our life. While most people relate this to financial flow, and it can be; abundance in codes is really about where we are taking command of our life, and generating successes not only for our own self, but also helping others to generate successes in their life.
When we look at what an abundant life is all about it is operating from the wisdom of the heart, and being in where joy is overflowing in a way that our needs are provided for. There is an aspect of feeling comfortable or at “home” in our life.  It is through these aspects that we generate our own luck, which bestows blessings and favorable circumstances allowing us to experience victory where we have been subdued or challenged.  It is a healing that happens deep within us that connects us with our true nature; and allows us to sit in a full knowing that all is well.
This year, this abundance and well-being is a much more personal than earthly process.  People may even find a challenge in their finances and health; and so we need to exercise extra care and attention in these areas of their life.  This is a time where we really need to be in deep self-care, and watch that we don’t get extravagant in our expenses.  The key is that we don’t buy into any deprivation patterns just because we don’t have as much to spend as we would like to.
This is a time of focusing on our spiritual path and processes.  It is not a good time for business, or to focus on earthly pursuits. Those that are not comfortable being on their own may feel a bit challenged this month; and this can lead to some feelings of stress or anxiety.  However, if we see that process through and sit with what is uncomfortable or tense; we will come through with some really juicy openings and some really sweet successes.  It can open the door to some very favorable possibilities that will suit us quite well.
This month strongly favors doing personal or spiritual retreats.  This will especially favor a silent retreat, or those events that encourage us to look and get deep within ourselves.  Right now we have a very strong need to simplify, and remove the distractions that keep us from taking a deeper look at our own self and life.
In many ways this month’s energy can magnify the Scorpio energy of the month.  There is a strong drive for being a part of something with deep meaning, and that allows personal expression.  It is a time for honoring the self through quiet and stillness.  It is a time for personal exploration and learning about the self.  Nothing superficial will do, and we are likely to find the deeper meanings of anything that we focus our attention on.
There is no hiding from your own self at this time, nor will you want to; even if you are able to hide from others.  There are deeply buried treasures to be unearthed from within you; but you may have to come face to face with where you feel inadequate to get there.  You may have to dive very deep into the unknown to find unexplored territory.  You will need to embrace all aspects of yourself, in order to have the treasure chest open for you.  This means getting into, loving, and accepting the “good”, the “bad”, the “beautiful”, and the “ugly”.  There is no picking or choosing, but learning the value of each and every aspect; and coming to know when it can be of benefit to you and when it will not be of benefit to you.
From November 1st – November 21st is a time for being in personal observation. The more that we are willing to see of our own self, the greater the opportunities will be that we can open up for ourselves.  Much like the month itself, this is a time to focus on our own self instead of what is happening with everyone else.  We will need to go deep within in order to find peace with what arises unexpectedly in our lives.
During this time it is not about looking to outer tools; but about drawing on our own inner resources. When we do this, it allows us to find peace among upheaval; and to experience calm in the midst of life’s storms. This is a time where our lessons of past experiences may come together in our present life.  What might have felt like “failures” in our past; have actually become great teachers that have given us a great amount of wisdom to choose wiser now.
Past people and situations are resurfacing for us to decide if we are going to give them another try, or if we are ready to be completely done with them.  Our faux pas and mishaps can guide and direct is what we need to pay attention to in our current situations.  A key aspect in the choices that we are making at this time is to consider what will give us the greatest amount of freedom; and will support us to live in a favorable future.
In some ways we consider this as making the practical choice, or choosing stability.  However, it is much more than that alone.  It is about considering what we can simplify or is really more of an excess than a necessity for us.  Wisdom at this time is about moving beyond just a dreamy lifestyle and getting down to what will truly sustain us over the years.
An example is to consider the dream of having a large and fancy home with a pool, fireplaces, and all kinds of features may sound like it is really fun.  However, we want to also take into consideration how many resources and how much time it will take to maintain those things.  If the amount of resources it takes to keep them up and have them causes us to never be able to enjoy them, then it is not worth it.  If we have to spend all of our time caring for something, then we have no time to be in what we have created
Likewise, it is important to consider how we will feel about taking care of things 10, 20, or 30 years down the line.  A Jacuzzi might sound fantastic at 40; but what about at 70 when you don’t have the physical stability or strength to clean it?  Of course some things are not meant to last forever, and we can decide that as long as we can enjoy it for 5, 10, or 20 years then it is worth it; but then we also want to consider what we will do with it beyond that. Does it leave a big hole, or will we have to remodel something if it is removed?
The point of this is learning to consider how our present choices can greatly influence the experiences we have moving forward.  I am amazed at the shifts in my body from even 2 years ago or even 1 year ago.  I have to look at making shifts and changes, simply because it will not work as it did.  This is not simply about aging; but considering that sometimes unpredictable circumstances can lead us to suddenly not be able to do the things that we can today, and it is worth considering what will be easy and simple on us to maintain going forward.  There was a point that Jesse never would have thought twice about a loft style tiny home; and yet, there is no way that my body could currently handle stairs over the years, since even now they can be a challenge.
From November 22nd – 30th we are called to stand strong in morals and ethics; and to take command over those that are operating without them. Favorable and strong relationships and partnerships can be formed at this time; but only if they are based in honesty, respect, and integrity.  Many are trying to gain control, especially if they are living in fear or are insecure about themselves.  We could see a battle for power, deception and control games happening between world leaders on a global level.  Likewise, it is the exposure of manipulation and deception that could lead to new alliances being formed.
During this time we want to remember that we have the ability to transform life to be any way that we want it.  Even if we cannot change all of our physical aspects; we can shift our approach and the way that we are working with it.  We will be able to do this by taking command over lies, and those that are trying to get us to be in battle with them or are creating turbulence in the lives of others.  Simply put, these people can no longer hide; and it is likely the truth will be emerging all over the news.  This can leave people feeling rather uncertain who or what to trust in the world. It is also why those that are willing to step into a leadership position are standing in integrity and creating heart-centered relationships.
It is during this month that globally we could see an unfolding of tremendous lies and deception with world leaders.  The “good old boy” structures of the past are likely to crumble as their antics are not in alignment with Divine Principles.  We could see large power sources, and even major corporations take a large blow and in some cases fold completely.
Deception and lies that surface within personal relationships may feel particularly hard to deal with at this time, and could leave us feeling simply numb.  It is important to pay attention to those that are trying to silence others, and that make threats either openly or quietly. These people are feeling extremely insecure and threatened.  When someone feels threatened they function in animalistic instincts; and become quite dangerous to be around.  This is because they will stop at nothing to regain their false sense of security; and will do anything to alleviate what they feel threatened by, even if the threat is not real.
In summary, this is a month to connect with our own personal inner abundance.  It is important to provide care and attention to both our health and our finances, and to consider what our needs will be later down the line and not just in the moment.  This is a great month for spiritual and personal retreats; and for digging deep within our own self.  Simplifying things and removing distractions will serve us well.  Make certain you love all aspects of yourself; and realize the value that each has to offer.
Make time for personal observation, and work with your inner resources.  When aspects of the past resurface, consider what will offer you the greatest amount of freedom and ability to be yourself.  Choose what will truly sustain you moving forward. Consider how the choices you make now will influence the experiences you will have later on.
Stand in morals and ethics; and do not give command to those without them.  Remember that you can transform your life to be the way that you want it to be.  Try to stay away from those that feel threatened, as they tend to bring in danger.
I welcome you to provide yourself with deep self-care; and attend to your physical needs.
I welcome you to focus on your spiritual path and processes.
I welcome you to find treasures that are buried deep within you.
I welcome you to be in personal observation; and get to know your own self better.
I welcome you to draw on your own inner resources.
I welcome you to simplify, and get down to what is really important for you; and realize what is in excess and what is a necessity.
I welcome you to consider if something will continue to be of benefit to you in the future; or if it is something that only is nice to have now.
I welcome you to consider how your present choices influence your future experiences.
I welcome you to stand strong in morals and ethics.
I welcome you to distance yourself from those that feel threatened and insecure.
   Actions to focus on
From November 1st – November 9th is a time to take the steps to break through into living more from our soul self.  Luck is generated from living in Divine Alignment during this time.  The impacts of doing this are very strong and will open doors in all areas of our life, and all existences that we are a part of.
This is a month where we need to choose what is right for our own self.  If others fit into that, then great; and if not, then it is time to let them go.  This time is about doing what is best for you; and what most nurtures and embraces your soul self, your passion, and the very essence of all that you are to your very core.  Especially, if in the past you have sacrificed your own desires and well-being for others; then this is a time for powerful reclaiming your own self, and what is truly important for you.
From November 10th – November 15th we find that people are being hit with harsh realities where others are concerned.  This can feed our desire to withdraw from others and to be in our own little world.  The more we step away from the lies and deceit with ourselves and with others; the greater the successes that we will experience.  It is a true gift to not get wrapped up in games of manipulation, and those that are able to avoid them are likely to find themselves in positions of recognition and being able to advance more in life.
Those that are truly successful at this time are able to bring out the gifts and blessings that others have to offer.  They realize that competition is one of the biggest lies that we face in our world and prefer to bring forth celebration in team efforts and the bringing together of different skills than to feed the lies that anyone can be better than another. It is important that we really learn to start releasing these terms of “better than” “higher” and other terms that place us in a position of appearing as better than or worse than another. Those that are truly successful do not need to be on a pedestal; and will have worked side by side with others.
From November 16th – November 30th we return to the influences of November 1st – November 9th.  This is an opportunity to go even deeper than we did during that time.  During this last half of the month, we may want to keep a journal or something to write down the ideas and insights that are coming to us, since our intuition and day dreams are likely to be in high gear.
We are still working on our deep internal processes; and that can make it very hard to get any work done.  We will have a great preference for being in our daydreams and fantasy spaces, than in solid reality.  This is not a good time for signing any major contracts; or making life decisions.  It is easy to both miss things, and to have misunderstandings which can bring about greater challenges.  It is during this time that we are completely restructuring our path in a way to create a favorable and enjoyable future.
I welcome you to find ways to live more from your soul self.
I welcome you to stand strong in Divine Alignment.
I welcome you to choose what is best for you; and which will allow you to embrace your soul self, and the essence of who you are.
I welcome you to reclaim your own self; and what is truly important for you.
I welcome you to step away from lies and deceit with yourself and others.
I welcome you to bring out the gifts and blessings that others have to offer.
I welcome you to take note of the insights and dreams that come to you at this time.
I welcome you to set aside important decisions for another time.
What to focus your thoughts on
From November 1st – November 10th stick to those things that you can do on your own.  Others may not be reliable or able to focus at this time.  You will do best to not take in the thoughts and influences of others; and it is likely that you have plenty of your own thoughts and things to deal with anyways.
This is a good time to think outside the box, and consider how the choices that you make have a bigger impact; not only on others, but on our Earth and even in our universe.  It is important that you come to your own decisions and conclusions at this time.  Time alone will help you do that.
Since our intuition and sensitivity are already high during this time, then we have to make certain that the thoughts that we have are actually our own; and don’t belong to someone else.  The more people we are around, the harder it is to access our own thoughts.  Also, if there are those that are spending a great amount of time thinking about us, then we may pick up on their thoughts instead of our own.  By simply having your own time and getting away from others, you should be able to tell which thoughts are yours, and which thoughts belong to other people. Our thoughts will always build us up and seek out solutions.
From November 11th – November 30th it will be a good time to complete things where we can.  It is important to handle your responsibilities and obligations; but to also honor time for your own self.  The world in general can feel a bit overwhelming or heavy; and this magnifies our desire to escape and not want to deal with things.
The big key is to deal with what needs to get done, wrap up loose ends, and then honor any time that you need for your own self and your own spiritual processes.  This will be a good time to learn more about yourself, and to better understand the core essence of all that you are.  It will be important to honor some time for daydreaming, and to release logical thought processes.  The mind needs to be in the esoteric and to be in the soul’s energy. Successes are generated where you are thinking for your own self and making your own decisions.
I welcome you to focus on what you can do on your own.
I welcome you to sort out which thoughts are yours, and which thoughts belong to others.
I welcome you to consider how your choices effect more than just yourself and your own life.
I welcome you allow yourself any space to that you need from others.
I welcome you to honor time for your own self.
I welcome you to deal with what needs to get done.
I welcome you to learn more about yourself, and the essence of what you are.
   Nourishing the soul
November 1st – November 21st favors us breaking out of any victim patterns that we are carrying around.  The irony in this is that victim patterns are rarely actually our own patterns.  They are usually connected to those that have a need for attention and to control others; and so they find those that are givers and that are not good at saying no to others.  This allows them to have their sense of control and power to manipulate that person in any way that they want; and to basically enslave them through fear and threats.
As much as we may want to be angry at those that do this; it is important for us to open to the real soul processes involved in this dynamic, such as learning when and to whom to give.  This is about using some discretion in our giving; and finding situations that allow us to give without turning our power over to others.  It is about learning to uphold respect and integrity; and realize that we benefit no one when we give to those that are working through fear, lies, deceit and manipulation.
During this time we can see some rapid rises in successes, especially in those areas of our life where we have learned our lessons.  If we have let our past experiences teach us how to choose wisely, then we can move forward in bigger strides.  As we do this, we will find that others will have a desire to partner with us and work with us to have an even bigger impact.
From November 22nd – November 30th most of the same patterns continue on; but we are asked to observe more so that we know when, how, and where to act.  It will be incredibly important to remain neutral and to not take any sides of things.  Our soul self calls us to see the pure essence of things; and not in terms of right or wrong, or better than or worse than.
If you can find it within yourself, it will be very powerful to take the lead on stopping bullying and mistreatment of people.  If you are willing to even stand up for your own self, you can lead the way for others to stand up for their own self.  Many people never take any action when being bullied and mistreated by others; because they don’t believe it will bring any results.  However, someone needs to set the stage.  When we speak up for ourselves we are actually speaking up for every person that is being mistreated.  You may be surprised at how many others come forward and walk through the door, once the door has been unlocked and opened.
I welcome you to break out of any victim patterns.
I welcome you to learn when and to whom to give.
I welcome you to uphold respect and integrity.
I welcome you to see the pure essence of things, instead of making them right or wrong.
I welcome you to take steps to stop bullying and mistreatment of yourself and others.
