I think it'd be funny if Garou is the first to (properly) get a driver's licence amongst the Shitty Teen Squad. The rest can also drive but doesn't have proper license.
Badd can drive a bike but decided to get a license because he's a hero and he needs to be a good example to Zenko, so he can't just drive without one.
As for Genos, he also drove a bike once in an emergency (a sale is happening and they're out of time) with Saitama sitting at the back. That bike was something Kuseno cook up for him, maybe chasing a high-speed monster?
Genos decided to get into a driving school because while he can drive a bike he has no idea how to drive a car. Even though he can hot wire them in emergencies.
They all drive safely but every rule is thrown out the window when there's a monster attack. Genos may or may have not ram a truck at a monster once when his blasters are taken down.

Genos being a 'cyborg' means he still has some human pieces to him - but they're never shown in the many times he's been ripped apart.
What if Genos's nervous system is just in a sensory deprivation tank somewhere and all his brain's signals are being transfered back and forth from his 'body', but the stress of his body dying would risk going into shock, so Stench doesn't tell Genos where his brain actually is because u know if Genos knew he had even the slightest chance of blowing up his core and living he would be using that move for every fight he couldn't win (not that he didn't already)
This isn't really a problem - until Saitama starts wondering where Genos' human insides are since he's seen Genos torn apart so much

on a lighter note... saitama meeting dr stench was so funny. it felt so much like a "bringing ur bf to meet ur parents" scene that i feel like it had to be an intentional parody, right? "oh ur the guy genos is always talking about" and "please take care of him..." bro.... LMAO 😭
and genos' "i was so angry but then i imagined saitamas face and felt myself go back to normal" you are NOT helping the allegations....

live saitama reaction
...
anyways i really hope nothing bad happens between them ._.

Kind of a dick move for Dr. Kuseno to give Genos oil tears, like the few times he actually breaks down with crying (none of which we’ve seen!! Come on ONE) over stuff like revenge, feeling inadequate, etc and most of all missing his family and hating that he feels no longer human hes reminded even MORE that he’s a cyborg when he sees motherfucking oil tears, something non human!
Idk how Kuseno couldn’t have just given him like water tears or something less robot-y, just,,,mean! Genos deserves to break down without literally seeing his non-organic eyes fill with non-organic tears and remind him that he’s trapped in a body that’s not his own.
I know this is sort of a big jump bc we don’t even know if the tears have a weapon-y purpose (like crude oil to burn shit??) but I just don’t see it that way and I think Kuseno was going way too hard into the edgy black eyes and black tears aesthetic, like ok grandpa put the iPod shuffle full of mcr down and take your melatonin.

Incorrect manga #8
Hey Genos, it’s ok to want to get stronger and all, but stop your waste rummaging this instant will ya
Yeah, I have this headcanon like Genos always wanting to obtain ameliorations ends in him bringing all kinds of useless metal stuff to Dr Kuseno’s lab. And good ol’ doctor gets a little tired about this.

well, well, how things change
Many moons ago (about 18 months ago, May 2020), @iwillgetridofyourangerforyou rated S-Class heroes from most to least dead (here) from which I get the following excerpt
Genos
Tumblr media
He hasn’t had a goal that was completely his own in years. Feels like he died with his family. He’s so dead inside bugs are attracted to the stench emanating from his soul. Pretty much only alive because of Saitama and Dr. Stinky Field I mean Stench I mean Kuseno right? He’s so detached from his own emotions he’s basically functioning on instinct. He can’t empathize with a monster like Saitama can (let alone other people) because he can’t empathize with himself.
It was totally fair then.
Well, it's December 2021 and NOW? Well, who'd have thought it?
Tumblr media
I do believe he's alive inside.
Rather than Saitama doing all the work in dispensing wisdom, the boy is doing his own heavy lifting as to what he wants in life.
When Genos declared that he wanted to become the Symbol of Strength, ONE didn't hang around in giving him challenges that would make him clarify exactly what he meant.
The sheer challenge of the Monster Association has made him stop being someone to passively receives whatever upgrades he's given to one who actively directs Kuseno's development programme. The whole process of supporting and saving Tatsumaki has really tested what he truly believes, made him do more work on his developing philosophy, and rethink the very basis of what he actually thinks strength to be. It's all very well to talk about necessary sacrifices, but when it boiled down to 'are you really going to kill Tatsumaki?' he knew what lay at his heart.
Saitama's role has become to be an inspiration and occasional encourager rather than Bald Jesus around all rotates. A most welcome change in my book.
When the eventual clash with whatever or whoever the mad cyborg and whoever is behind him happens, we're on track in the webcomic to see a bewildered Genos ask Saitama what to do now with his life and for Saitama to give him one of his trademark bullshit-yet-wise answers. In the manga, we're on track to have Saitama just ask Genos 'don't you already know?' and for the latter to think about it a moment and realise that yes, yes he does.
We don't become human without others and little by little, it looks like Genos's humanity is returning.

the broken clogged toilet and impaling via bathroom door (in genos’s parents’ en suite) really set the mood for klaus and genos’s little teenage romance.

S-Class Heroes Ranked from least to most dead inside:
17. Blast disqualified. Insufficient data.
16. Badd
Tumblr media
Metal Bat simply has the most to live for and he knows it, his sister being on the top of that list.
15. Puri-Puri Prisoner
Tumblr media
Puri-puri simply cannot be dead inside with the amount of love in his heart, its a light that shines through any monsterous darkness and it comes from within.
14. Superalloy Darkshine
Tumblr media
How can you be dead inside with muscles that shine so bright? Surely nothing can bring you down with such a perfect exterior, right?
13. Child Emperor
Tumblr media
Barely 10 years old and this guy has seen some shit and he’s kind of over it. He’s still young and idealist but not nearly as full of life as you’d expect.
12. Pig God
Tumblr media
Pig God is too kind and caring to be truly dead inside. He’s a man of simple tastes, no need to be weighed down by the drama of total disassociation.
11. Tanktop Master
Tumblr media
Tanktop Master probably doesn’t realize how much leading a hoard of unruly Tanktop heroes, training to be stronger than any machine or esper, all while fighting monsters for the HA has been taking it out of him. Maybe not dead inside as much as exhausted.
10. Flashy Flash
Tumblr media
You don’t grow up in a ninja village without being at least a little dead inside, I don’t care how pretty you are.
9. Atomic Samurai
Tumblr media
He has experienced and experience comes with plenty of cynicism but it hasn’t totally killed his spirit yet.
8. King
Tumblr media
Living is exhausting, living a lie is even more exhausting, King just wants to rest in peace after being chased by monsters for years.
7. Watchdog man
Tumblr media
Just look at him.
6. Bang
Tumblr media
Very tired, very experienced, he wants to believe in life like he used to, he can still kick ass with the best of them but he’s tapping out on emotional investment. Can you blame him (glaring in Garou’s direction).
5. Zombieman
Tumblr media
Dead on the outside. He lives to take down the house of evolution. But on the inside, he’s not as dead as you’d expect somehow. I guess that’s why he’s a Zombie?
4. Tatsumaki
Tumblr media
Does everything to ensure that people know she is the bestTM. Full of rage. Isolated. She lives for her sister but he barely knows that herself.
3 through 1 with no clear winner at this time:
Leaning into the tech seems to be a prerequisite of being truly dead inside?
Drive Knight
Tumblr media
The guy’s a bad-ass, looks like he somehow finds ways to keep his cybernetic mechanisms fun and interesting but something tells me he hasn’t been happy in a long time.
Metal Knight
Tumblr media
You can’t trust a hero who isn’t willing to risk his life for his values. Hiding away from the world.

SG 39. Kissing tears from the other’s face.
Aaa this took me forever because my brain was being a jerk.
Terminus
Rated T, minor character death, references to canon-typical violence

--
Fire and smoke filled the air, and the wind bore the stench of scorched metal and burnt clothing. A series of harsh, metallic pings rose up from within the flames-- and then came the explosion.
It was ear-splitting and sudden, and made the ground tremble as shrapnel embedded itself into anything still standing.
Anything except Saitama. The shrapnel - bent screws, crumpled fragments of metal, even a couple of finely-engineered fingers - bounced off of him, leaving little smears of ash where they hit.
He wiped absently at the marks and tugged away the shredded rags that had, that morning, been clothes.
Ahead, a trembling, ruined figure appeared amidst the slowly clearing smoke. Half-hidden behind torn chest plates, a dim blue light flickered and died, and the body crashed backwards onto the torn-up earth.
Another crash caught his attention, this time softer, and behind him: Genos was on his knees.
Saitama crouched beside him, heedless of the steam that poured from his vents as he patted his shoulder. Genos' clothes had been burned away, his plating torn up and littered with shrapnel in the places Saitama hadn't been able to shield.
"Good job, Genos," he said.
Genos' limbs twitched, a low ticking rising from amidst the strained hum of his core, like the cooling of a scorching hot engine. His fans whirred, and he swayed, gaze fixed upon where his opponent had fallen.
He said nothing, only stared.
"Genos?" Saitama threaded his fingers into his hair, pushing it back from his forehead and trying to look him in the eye. When Genos didn't respond, he cupped his cheek and turned his head to look at him.
Genos' eyes widened when their gazes met, his brows rising and his pupils like tiny suns in a night sky. He looked a lot younger in that moment, less like a confident, powerful man and more like a terrified young boy.
Saitama shifted onto his knees, bare skin crushing a few dismembered cyborg fingers. "You okay?" He rubbed a smudge of ash from Genos' cheek with his thumb. "Your voice box broken?"
A whine escaped Genos' form, coming from his throat rather than his core, and he shook his head. His attention drifted over Saitama's shoulder, to the crumpled form beyond.
"It's dead?" His voice was weak and uncertain, and his eyes glowed from within the cracked surface of his face, betraying that he was running a scan.
"Yeah, dude," Saitama smiled. "You beat it."
Genos shook his head rapidly. "I can't have," he uttered. "It was too easy."
"Nah, you're just real strong."
Something glistened at the corners of Genos' eyes. "But it was so powerful," he insisted, voice rising as he spoke. "It destroyed everything, it ruined my life, it killed my family, IT CAN'T BE THIS EASY!"
Saitama cast a glance at the dead cyborg, and shrugged. "You were stronger, Genos."
Oily black tears spilled over onto Genos' cheeks. "It was too easy," he repeated.
A gentle tug to his shoulder, and he was in Saitama's arms. Saitama held him close, rubbing his back and stroking his hair as the tears dripped from Genos' face and onto his skin.
"Was easy 'cos you're strong," he murmured. "You did great. This 's what you always wanted, huh?"
"But it was too easy..." Genos pressed his face against Saitama's neck, his artillery still hot as he wrapped his arms around him. "It shouldn't have been that easy."
"Why not?" Saitama tilted his head.
Face smeared with tears, Genos peered at him. "Because it was the Mad Cyborg, sensei." His voice wavered as he peeked over at it. "It was powerful."
"Yeah but you trained hard and got real strong," Saitama caressed his tear-stained cheek. "You're amazing, Genos. You beat the Mad Cyborg."
Fresh tears sprang up in Genos' eyes. "I beat it..."
"Yeah." Saitama smiled. "You beat it."
"Why doesn't it feel better?"
Saitama's smile faded. "...Sometimes it doesn't, when you're really strong."
"Oh." Tears slid down Genos' cheeks, and his brow wrinkled beneath his mussed-up bangs. "I wanted to avenge my family."
"You did."
"It was too easy."
"Doesn't matter. 's through all your hard work, dude." Saitama stroked his hair. "You got hurt a lot so's you could get this far. Dunno how many times you nearly died in the process but it's more'n enough. All the things you've done and all the stuff you've been through to get here, none of that was easy. This fight might've been easy but it's only 'cos you did all the grunt work on your way here."
The words came from the heart, spoken with a voice unused to giving motivational speeches. Genos stared at Saitama unblinkingly, the hum of his core rising between them.
"...'s like, you massively levelled up your character way before you reached the final boss," Saitama added.
Beneath his gaze, Genos' expression contorted with grief, and he bowed his head, a sob escaping his lips. "Sensei--!"
"Hey." Tilting his chin up, Saitama gazed into his teary eyes. "It's okay, Genos." He leaned in, kissing the oily streaks upon his face, first one cheek, and then the other.
More tears rolled down Genos' cheeks, and Saitama kissed them away as they fell, stroking his hair and murmuring soft reassurances against his skin.
"It's okay," he whispered. "You did good. It's okay now."
Genos clung to him, core whining and shoulders trembling. He watched him through tears and half-closed eyes, his sobs slowly subsiding in the wake of all those butterfly-light kisses.
"...Sensei..." He said it in a sigh, blinking away the last of his tears. "Thank you."
"Hm?" Saitama drew back a little, rubbing his hand over his mouth to wipe away the oil. "What?"
"For everything."
"I didn't do anything though?"
"But sensei you did!" Genos' eyes grew wide, his back straightening. "You taught me expert battle tactics, you taught me to be strong! You taught me what it is to be human again, without which I may have ended up a heartless shell!" Another wave of tears threatened at the corners of his eyes, and he fought them back as he continued. "You missed a sale today for the sake of supporting me through this battle, you have done so much for me, Saitama-sensei, and you're still supporting me. You're still here..." He brought a hand to Saitama's face, tracing over the contours of his cheek with his fingertips. "I could not have done this without you, sensei," he murmured. "Thank you."
Saitama let out a breath, pink creeping across his cheeks. "Wanted to," he mumbled, patting him.
A single tear rolled down Genos' cheek, and Saitama leaned in, kissing it away.
Then Genos' lips found his, and he held him tightly as the world around them became silent and still.
When Genos drew back, his eyes were bright and his core hummed steadily.
Saitama smiled and ruffled his hair. "You okay?"
"I will be, sensei." Genos caught his hand and kissed his fingertips. "Thank you."
"Heh..." Entwining their fingers, Saitama nodded his head towards the nearest road. "C'mon. Let's go see the doc. He'll wanna hear about this, huh?"
"Yes, sensei. Doctor Kuseno wants every detail, and will carry out a full post-mortem examination of the Mad Cyborg."
"Ah."
"He is sending out droids to collect it."
"Cool," Saitama pulled him to his feet. "Let's go ahead to the lab? Or d'you wanna wait for the droids?"
Genos looked him up and down, frowning. "...Sensei, you are naked."
"Yep."
"What happened to your clothes?!"
"Fire happened," Saitama chuckled. "That was a real cool fight y'know."
Genos shook his head. "It was too easy-- and sensei, you can't go to the lab naked."
"Why not? You're naked too."
"That's different. Doctor Kuseno built my body, and I'm made of machine parts, not flesh."
"You're still human." Saitama tapped at Genos' chest plates with a fingertip. "Still naked, too."
Genos pouted. "Sensei..."
"Genos." Saitama pecked his lips. "Lab's closer'n home. The doc'll have spare clothes, right?"
"...Yes, sensei."
"C'mon then."
Together they picked their way through the ruined landscape, abandoning the remains of the Mad Cyborg to the doctor's droids. The area was desolate and abandoned, and Saitama walked as if public nudity didn't matter in the slightest.
Beside him, Genos was quiet, lips pursed and face stained with oil, his head bowed.
After too much silence, Saitama glanced at him, brow raised. "Hey?"
"Yes, sensei?" Genos sounded tired.
Saitama stopped walking and looked up at him.
"They'd be real proud of you, y'know."
Pain flickered across Genos' face. He squeezed his eyes shut, and kept them closed for a long moment.
When he opened them again, his eyes were as bright as the sun, and he drew back his shoulders, his gaze resolute.
"Thank you, sensei," he said softly. "I think so too."
Saitama smiled, and Genos lifted his head towards the horizon. The sun was high, and there was some way to go before they reached the lab.
"...Doctor Kuseno will be waiting for us," he said.
"Yep." Saitama kissed his cheek, and tugged at his hand, and together they continued on their journey. "D'you think he's got any of those custard creams?"
A pale smile formed on Genos' lips, weary yet affectionate. "I think so, sensei."
"Cool." Saitama grinned, and pulled him along faster.
The quest for vengeance was over.
It was time to rebuild.

Tornado and Flash may lose...
Tumblr media
As said before, all the S-Class heroes are absent from the Hero Association, leaving it wide open for a Neo-Heroes attack. Included missing are Tornado and Flash, called away to fight their nemeses of the psychic Otento leading the Eleven and the genocidal ninjas the Abandoned Masses. Surely their enemies are merely distractions to lure them away, the villains are red herrings rather than actual threats to such powerful beings? Don't be so sure.
I. Tornado vs Otento and the Eleven:
"It has come to our attention from a certain source..."
As stated before, the timing for Tornado and Flash to both be called away when Atomic, Zombieman, Genos, Tanktop Master, and Pri Pri are all unavailable is too coincidental (Edit 1). It plays too well into the Neo-Heroes, or rather, the Organization's hands. Either the Organization or the Eleven themselves leaked the information in order to lure Tornado into a trap. At this point, a mass larger than City Z being ripped from underground into the sky should be common knowledge, let alone known in detail by the Organization and the Eleven. So the Eleven apparently don't regard a city lifting Tornado as too powerful to be overcome. (Edit 2)
"We've identified their numbers, location, even backgrounds"
The HA knows their location, so any trouble Tornado has will not simply be "Oh, they're hard to find" or "Oh, they're hiding too well". She knows their location and exact members, she knows what she's up against... or so she thinks.
"I'm also looking for them myself. This will probably become quite a chore."
The same Tornado who went through the Monster Association, nearly died multiple times, and saw GS and Garou... says these psychics will be "quite a chore"..... they are a real threat. Even if she is an overwhelming favorite to win, say 95% to 5%... she has to take it seriously. If she doesn't... she may lose.
But that assumes the Eleven have no ace up their sleeve.
II. Flash vs the Abandoned Masses:
"They taught me never to get involved with them."
Flash, eventually the ace of his class, was told to never meet them. Not "Not for apprentices, only ninja graduates can face them" or "Most graduates should not, only the strongest ninjas can challenge them"... he was told "never".
"They have never left any clues... so why now?... I can't get rid of this eerie feeling, but the letter is real. The stench of blood that comes off it proves that."
Not only are they too dangerous even for ninja graduates... they never, ever left any clues to their location and current actions. Flash realizes something is wrong, why reveal themselves? He speculates maybe the Ninja Leader's defeat... but if it were that simple, why didn't they hunt down the unconscious body and kill him years before?
Something serious has changed... and Flash knows it. Or rather... knows he doesn't know it.
"With an Organization that can put the Ninja Village on its toes, this won't be an easy mission... This will take a couple days, maybe four or five."
Flash is not simply going to walk in and fight them in an open battle... he needs to prepare. They will take every and any chance, tactic, and means to kill him. His only chance is to do the same.
But the worst part? They know he will do that. So all he caution may still fail in the end.
III. Notes:
Edit 1: Blast is always absent, Bofoi, King, Drive Knight are usually absent, Pig God and Watchdogman are immobile so cannot be called upon in emergency. The main issue is that all the normally active heroes (Atomic, Zombie, Genos, Tanktop, and Pri Pri) are busy, and the only two remaining active ones, not just active but their aces, Tornado and Flash, are sent off to win great victories. The HA may be panicking socially and financially... but their defenses from Bofoi just failed, surely they would want some better protection?
Edit 2: Yes, that isn't the limit of Tornado's power... but if the psychics cannot replicate a feat on that scale, or at least have a plan/special ability that could allow them to overcome her raw power... then how could they believe they can defeat her? Mere "arrogant villain" is ludicrous in the face of clear physical evidence of her power.

Dang, i was going to ask garou too (for reasons) but i was too slow, so instead, Genos maybe plz ?
favorite thing about them: His extreme adoration and subservience to Saitama, despite being pretty much emotionless or interested in anything other than achieving absolute destructive power. It’s kind of like his computer brain in capable of learning, but only by fractions, and his obsession with gaining power has taught him about connecting with someone else. He also learns how to clean and cook and act more human. Even if that “I was human once” story is true, Genos obviously forgot how to be human when he changed into a cyborg.
least favorite thing about them: His face. I hate his face. He’s way too cute--like unnecessarily cute. Like why try and intimidate me with a power hungry, mass destruction causing machine of doom that looks like a k-pop singer? I don’t care for k-pop but it’s just the in thing right now. Point is ONE did this on purpose to distract the fandom with Genos’ superior hotness from how threatening he actually is.
favorite line: “Who was that pervert just now?” The only unintentionally funny thing Genos has ever said.
brOTP:  Drive Knight. I don’t have many DK headcanons yet, but I think that he might be connected to Genos in some way, since he felt in necessary to warn Genos about Metal Knight. Unless another robot thot shows up, I want to imagine Genos with more his own kind rather than a gooey human--even though I’ve heard that DK is actually a human, and somehow can still shape shift, but idk. Anyway if we ever get a cyborg arc and DK is involved, like he and Genos were part of a cyborg mafia or something and Genos cant remember, they could bond somewhat.
OTP: Unfortunately I don’t personally ship Genos with anyone because he doesn’t really seem to be the romantic type, and I don’t know many other characters with a need to blow the planet up for one mad cyborg who he could connect with. Even though I’m trying really hard right now, I can’t come up with anyone introduced yet that I’d let have him. Maybe when a more deserving robot thot shows up.
nOTP: Saitama/Genos. Same thing with Batrou, it just doesn’t make sense to me. Not only do their personalities not match as Saitama is more indifferent to Genos and Genos is a willing slave, but their relationship seems more comical than anything else. Maybe it could be more one sided, but thats all I can see happening. Actually all Genos ships are a notp for me but genosai sticks out the most because its the most popular.
random headcanon: (pre-cyborg Genos, whoever he really was) He was an alpha male teenager. A chauvinistic jock type with three oblivious girlfriends and possibly picked on weaker kids too. I think this would be a neat contrast to his current mindset of aggressive altruism, since he always seems like such a noble guy, he could be hiding a dark past.
unpopular opinion: He is actually evil and his heroism is caused by some chip or something that Stench gave him but he’ll probably zap back at some point. Sorry but growing up on the terminator movies taught me to never trust robots.
song i associate with them: Avenged Sevenfold - “Hail To The King”
favorite picture of them
