Paparazzi - Lando Norris x UniStudent! Reader
Plot: you are a university student in the UK, and the Paparazzi manage to find out where you go and stalk you due to rumors surfacing about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a pretty shit day at university for you, you were a third year law student who had just come back from an amazing placement with Mercedes as part of their legal counsel.
You'd had so much fun and had worked really closely with Lewis and George. It also was the first year that you were able to travel from the last half of one season, to the 3/4 of the next season.
He was a driver for McLaren, his job and you being a student meant that you guys didn't see each other as much as you'd like.
You had been dating for the good part of 4 years now having met in secondary school and stayed as friends even when he left the school. When you started on your A-levels and he was progressing in his driving career he asked you to be his girlfriend.
Now he was in Formula One and you were about to be graduating university. It had however been difficult, the transition of being with Lando pretty much everyday, and now not seeing him was killing you.
It had taken a tole on you, you had dark circles under your eyes, your nose was red from the cold. Your class hadn't been great either and tears were starting to brim your eyes. You just wanted to get home and cry it out in private.
Lando: Hey Babe, its Thursday so media day today and McLaren are busy! Call me later, love you lots!
The text made more tears brim in your eyes until you heard the snap of a camera. Next you saw the flash.
Your eyes dart up seeing the 5 or 6 people with cameras behind you, following you. You pick up your pace, going towards your specific building on campus where you could hide out with your personal tutor until they left you alone.
You walk into the building into a flurry of students walking around the building pulling the hood of Lando's hoodie up. You make your way to a back stairwell that was quieter than the main one and made your way up the 5 flights of stairs to where your personal tutors room was.
"Michael?" you ask entering the room, nobody was there so you sat on the small little sofa he had at the side of his office. You pull the work bench closer to you, placing your laptop and book down before getting on with some work for your Intellectual Property Module.
Minutes later Michael comes in, a shocked look on his face as he observes you.
"Y/N what are you doing here?" he asks walking past you and taking a seat at his desk, sipping from the takeaway coffee he had just brought.
"I had Paps come onto campus again. And i've had a bit of a shit day" you mumble looking at the email from Lewis asking you to do some research for him if you had any free time.
"Well, you know my door is always open for you"
"That's why i let myself in" you grin at him, already feeling better. He spoke to you for about an hour, while he was doing his own research and marking behind his computer.
"I think its safe to say they've left now" he admits engrossed in something on his computer.
"How'd you know?"
"There's articles already up, some of these headlines. Oh lord they are ridiculous" Michael admits scrolling down on his mouse wheel looking further.
"Huh?" you ask before looking online under your name.
Lando Norris Girlfriend Y/N Y/L/N, Seen Crying On University Campus After Breakup Report Y/N Y/L/N Seen On Campus Crying Is There Tension Between Lando Norris and Y/N Y/L/N On Her First Absent Race Of The Season Lando Norris Cheats On Girlfriend - Her Reaction Is Heartbreaking!
"I'm just going to go home. I don't have the energy to read any of these. Thank you for letting me stay" you admit, packing up your bag and nodding in a goodbye to your personal tutor.
As you exit the building and make your way to the carpark where your Mercedes-AMG SL 63 sat, courtesy of your time at Mercedes for the last year. You now still work for them, but from the Brackley and part-time around your degree.
You get in and let out a long sigh, you pull away getting onto the road driving back to yours and Lando's apartment which was about a 30 minute drive away.
Lando started to call you, the ringtone blaring through the car speakers that your phone was connected to. You hit accept on the screen, your eyes only momentarily wavering from the road.
"Y/N baby, what's up. The articles and the photos of you! You look so sad, what's going on?" he immediately starts grilling you like you'd expected him to when he would eventually see the articles.
"Sorry, I'm in the car right now! I just had a shitty say at uni and i really fucking miss you" you breathe out happy to finally admit it. It was the end of October now and you'd been back at university for a month.
"I know baby, you still planning to come out for the last race, in Abu Dhabi?" he offers, it sounds like he's busy and like he's walking around the McLaren garage. He did say it was media day...
"Erm, ill let you go. Its like midnight there and you have a big day with practice tomorrow" you say, he starts to stay something but you interrupt before he can.
"I love you, goodnight" you say to prompt him.
"Goodnight, ill see you soon" he sighs, he also sounded tired just like you.
You drove the rest of the way home, pulling up in the underground carpark and just sitting there for a few minutes taking in some breaths.
You eventually get out the car and head into yours and Lando's apartment. The apartment was always clean because either you were here or your parents were kind enough to house sit while you and Lando were away.
You did your normal routine for when Lando wasn't here, which was go to the gym, go back and shower, cook food eat food and go to sleep.
You never really had any motivation for anything when he wasn't around.
The next day was a free day from uni, you went to the Mercedes team, everyone could tell that something was up with you. They chose not to say anything and just let you get through your shift. You'd had a cute Good morning text from Lando, asking if you'd slept well and if you'd eaten.
You'd replied, saying yes to both and that you were just catching up on his free practices and that he had really good times, as you'd expected.
But part of you just longed for him to come home.

Fargo
Tumblr media
(image from IMDb.)
I think Fargo was so successful because of how everything slowly pieced together. When watching it, it starts off with this man who wants to kidnap his wife for some money he had been embezzling in his father-in-law's company. We then have a detective come in and try to solve the case initially on a state trooper who was shot and a couple that was killed. She then begins to investigate and notices that a car that helped with the murder was stolen. This then leads to the kidnapping of the wife, and she sets out to solve this case. Everything is lining up in this movie, but it isn't because she can't quite put her finger on what it is that's missing. She then begins to piece together that 6 cars are missing and asks if they've taken inventory of what is missing. His skepticism is what triggers her senses even more. She ends up finding out who committed the murders throughout the town and who kidnapped the man's wife. They also then discover that the man who set up for his wife to be kidnapped was a part of all this. If it weren't for her senses, her meeting with an old friend and that conversation showing her that can be deceiving, she would've never caught everything the way she did. This film was successful because the detective could piece everything together and make it all sense.
I also posted below the obvious mysteries explained in Fargo by George Toles.⬇️

The Bloody Benders: America's First Family of Serial Killers
The Bender family, more well known as the Bloody Benders, were a family of serial killers who lived and operated in Labette County, Kansas, United States, from May 1871 to December 1872. The family consisted of John Bender, his wife Elvira and their son John Jr. and daughter Kate.
In May 1871, the body of a man named Jones, who had his skull crushed and his throat cut, was discovered in Drum Creek. The owner of the Drum Creek claim was suspected, but no action was taken. In February 1872, the bodies of two men were found who had the same injuries as Jones. By 1873, reports of missing people who had passed through the area had become so common that travelers began to avoid the trail.
The area was already widely known for "horse thieves and villains," and vigilance committees often "arrested" some for the disappearances, only for them to be later released by the authorities. Many innocent men under suspicion were also run out of the county by these committees. In the winter of 1872, George Newton Longcor left Independence, Kansas with his infant daughter Mary Ann to resettle in Iowa; they were never seen again. In the spring of 1873, Longcor's former neighbor, Dr. William Henry York, went looking for them and questioned homesteaders along the trail. Dr. York reached Fort Scott, and on March 9 began the return journey to Independence, but never arrived.
Dr. York had two brothers: Ed York living in Fort Scott, and Colonel Alexander M. York, a Civil War veteran, lawyer, and member of the Kansas State Senate from Independence who, in November 1872, had been instrumental in exposing U.S. Senator Samuel C. Pomeroy's bribery of state legislators in his bid for re-election. Both knew of William's travel plans and, when he failed to return, an all-out search began for the missing doctor. Colonel York, leading a company of some 50 men, questioned every traveler along the trail and visited all the area homesteads.
On March 28, 1873, Colonel York arrived at the Benders' inn with a Mr. Johnson, explaining to them that his brother had gone missing and asked if they had seen him. They admitted Dr. York had stayed with them and suggested the possibility that he had run into trouble with Indians. Colonel York agreed that this was possible and remained for dinner. On April 3, Colonel York returned to the inn with armed men after being informed that a woman had fled from the inn after Elvira Bender had threatened her with knives. Elvira allegedly could not understand English, while the younger Benders denied the claim.
When York repeated the claim, Elvira became enraged, said the woman was a witch who had cursed her coffee, and ordered the men to leave her house, revealing for the first time that "her sense of the English language" was much better than was let on. Before York left, Kate asked him to return alone the following Friday night, and she would use her clairvoyant abilities to help him find his brother. The men with York were convinced the Benders and a neighboring family, the Roaches, were guilty and wanted to hang them all, but York insisted that evidence must be found.
Around the same time, neighboring communities began to make accusations that the Osage community was responsible for the disappearances, and Osage township arranged a meeting in the Harmony Grove schoolhouse. Seventy-five locals attended the meeting, including Colonel York and both John Bender Sr. and John Bender Jr. After discussing the disappearances, including that of William York, they agreed to obtain a warrant to search every homestead between Big Hill Creek and Drum Creek. Despite York's strong suspicions regarding the Benders since his visit several weeks earlier, no one had watched them, and it was not noticed for several days that they had fled.
Three days after the township meeting, Billy Tole was driving cattle past the Bender property when he noticed that the inn was abandoned and the farm animals were unfed. Tole reported the fact to the township trustee, but due to inclement weather, several days lapsed before the abandonment could be investigated. The township trustee called for volunteers, and several hundred turned out to form a search party that included Colonel York. When the party arrived at the inn they found the cabin empty of food, clothing, and personal possessions.
A bad odor was noticed and traced to a trap door underneath a bed, nailed shut. After opening the trap, the party found clotted blood on the floor of the empty room underneath, 6 feet (1.8 m) deep and 7 feet (2.1 m) square at the top by 3 feet (0.9 m) square at the bottom. They broke up the stone slab floor with sledgehammers, but found no bodies, and determined that the smell was from blood that had soaked into the soil. The men then physically lifted the cabin and moved it to the side to dig under it, but no bodies were found.
They then probed the ground around the cabin with a metal rod, especially in the disturbed soil of the vegetable garden and orchard, where Dr. York's body was found later that evening, buried face down with his feet barely below the surface. The probing continued until midnight, with another nine suspected grave sites marked before the men were satisfied they had found them all and retired for the night. The next morning, another eight bodies were found in seven of the nine suspected graves, while one was found in the well, along with a number of body parts. All but one had their heads bashed with a hammer and throats cut, and newspapers reported that all were "indecently mutilated." The body of a young girl was found with no injuries sufficient to cause death. It was speculated that she had been strangled or buried alive.
Word of the murders spread quickly, and more than three thousand people, including reporters from as far away as New York City and Chicago, visited the site. The Bender cabin was destroyed by souvenir hunters who took everything, including the bricks that lined the cellar and the stones lining the well.
It is conjectured that when a guest stayed at the Benders' bed and breakfast inn, the hosts would give the guest a seat of honor at the table that was positioned over a trap door into the cellar. With the victim's back to the curtain, Kate would distract the guest while John Bender or his son came from behind the curtain and struck the guest on the right side of the skull with a hammer. One of the women would cut the victim's throat to ensure death, and the body was then dropped through the trap door. Once in the cellar, the body would be stripped and later buried somewhere on the property, often in the orchard. Although some of the victims were wealthy, others carried little of value on them, and it was surmised that the Benders had killed them simply for the sheer thrill.
Testimony from people who had stayed at the Benders' inn and managed to escape before they could be killed appeared to support the presumed execution method of the Benders. William Pickering said that when he had refused to sit near the wagon cloth because of the stains on it, Kate Bender had threatened him with a knife, whereupon he fled the premises. A Catholic priest claimed to have seen one of the Bender men concealing a large hammer, at which point he became uncomfortable and quickly departed.
Two men who had traveled to the inn to experience Kate Bender's psychic powers stayed for dinner, but had refused to sit at the table next to the cloth, instead preferring to eat their meal at the main shop counter. Kate then became abusive toward them, and shortly afterward the Bender men emerged from behind the cloth. At this point the customers felt uneasy and decided to leave, a move that almost certainly saved their lives.
More than a dozen bullet holes were found in the roof and sides of the cabin. The media speculated that some of the victims had attempted to fight back after being hit with the hammer.
Several groups of vigilantes were formed to search for the Benders. Many stories say that one vigilante group actually caught the Benders and shot all of them but Kate, whom they burned alive. Another group claimed they had caught the Benders and lynched them before throwing their bodies into the Verdigris River. Yet another claimed to have killed the Benders during a gunfight and buried their bodies on the prairie. No one ever claimed the $3,000 reward ($67,858 as of 2022), however.
The story of the Benders' escape spread, and the search continued on and off for the next 50 years. Often two women traveling together were accused of being Kate Bender and her mother.

Paul and Jesus: How The Apostle Transformed Christianity - Professor Jam...
COMMENTARY”
This is what the literature reveals about Pauls' relationship with Jesus, His theology is based on the same euangelion that Peter cites in his validation of Paul's oral history, And Paul refers to this oral history 19 times in his Epistles that define Pauline Theology. The message Paul got from Jesus was to change his frame of reference from Saul to Paul and present the Pauline Judaism Jesus brought to Jerusalem in an attempt to prevent 70 CE,
In Literature, Jesus is the summation of all of Israel up to Isiah. He is the Second Coming of Isiah in the flesh, Jesus is God's way of saying that the Shammai School and the Hillel School are rough drafts and Jesus is the published dissertation, What Jesus bet The Satin in the Wildernesss he could do was to convince the powers that be in the 2nd Temple sociology that wwhat we dow distinguish as Pauline Judaism the difference between Gal Gadot and Manny Gantz in the IDF  in contrast  to Netanyahu and Likud . . When Jesus tole Mary Magdalene to become male, He meant become Golda Meir.
This Pauline Judaism was conveyed to Theophilus, the author of Hebrews, which resulted in the Apostle's Creed among the Christian centurions of the Italian Cohort. Abd, in congruence with N/T/Wrights interpretation of Pauline Theology, that covenant between Elohim the verb with the precursor to the Command Sergeant Major of the US Army sitting across the hall from the US Army Chief of Staff, George Marshall's old offices.
Pauline Theology is all over the Liberation Theology of Jesus, Cornelius, Luther, George Washington and Pople Francis. Thre is a comparison videon on YouTube between N/T, Wright's discriptin of liberation Theology and John MacArthur's Pro-Life Calvinism Rapture bullshit and taht's what Jesus was trying to promote as the perfect Jewish Boy, Sent by Elohim the verb  to validate the God Hypothesis to the mutual benevit of humanity and the universe.
Go listen to Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled banner at Woodstock. That's what the Liberation Theology is all about. That's wht it is like to follow Yaweh, queen of Battle into Hell as a Starship Trooper.

Cannabis, education top priorities for Md.’s Legislative Black Caucus
Establishing a criminal justice policy that prevents police officers from stopping black drivers and searching vehicles just because they smell cannabis, thc Big Chief Carts , and recruiting more people of African Americans to teach in public schools are two of twelve priorities the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland served out on Wednesday.
Del. Jheanelle Wilkins (D-Montgomery) said that caucus members lead on a range of issues and in “key roles to keep the House and the Senate moving as we do the people’s work. We’re excited to deliver on our strength in our leadership this 2023 session and beyond.” she said.
The caucus laid policy priorities into five areas: cannabis legalization, education equity, wealth and Black businesses, health, and housing.
In drafting legislation defining the cannabis industry, the caucus wants to ensure that African Americans who are minorities be included in growing, processing, and dispensing cannabis including thc Buddha Bear Carts .
A framework for weed licensing, regulation, and taxation must be enacted before recreational use can become legal on July 1.
A consulting firm has estimated that revenue from dispensaries in Maryland could reach about $1 billion after the industry gets underway within two years.
Sen. Jill Carter (D-Baltimore City) is sponsoring legislation to make certain criminal offenses involving cannabis civil offenses instead, punishable by civil penalties.
For instance, the court would be able to order a person younger than age 21 who is found guilty of possession of cannabis or Buddies carts to attend a drug education program approved by the state Department of Health. The Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee plans to hold a hearing on that bill on Feb. 1.
That same committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on Feb. 2 to review a bill Carter is sponsoring that would prevent law enforcement officers from stopping a motorist solely based on an odor of cannabis without any evidence of intoxication or other valid cause.
“Courts have been divided about odor searches. But now, as marijuana products such as Chronic Carts will be legal, it would be an illegal activity for law enforcement officers to continue to use it as a pretext — the odor of marijuana,” Carter said. “What we’ll have is partial legalization and Black people will be vulnerable to existing arrest patterns where they will continue to be disproportionately targeted by law enforcement and saddled with criminal records as a result of marijuana legalization.”
Also, To combat bias searches of blacks that have led to undervaluing homes, businesses, and other real property that is owned by people of color or is in minority neighborhoods, legislation is being worked on to encourage, and educate, more Marylanders to become appraisers through a program called PAREA, said Del. Marvin Holmes Jr. (D-Prince George’s).
Similar legislation has been authorized in other states, including Iowa and New Jersey; lawmakers are reviewing legislation requiring appraisers to complete anti-bias training.
Other proposals backed by the caucus, including some in draft form and some yet to be filed, are:
Doubling funds for the state’s Student Loan Tax Credit program — to be sponsored by Del. Karen Toles (D-Prince George’s).    Establishing the Small Business Protection Act to ensure minority-owned businesses are involved in the procurement process for state contracts — to be sponsored by Del. Nick Charles (D-Prince George’s) and Sen. Antonio Hayes (D-Baltimore City)    Creating a Commission on Public Health to focus on equity, the state’s response to COVID-19, racial and ethnic disparities in maternal mortality and birth outcomes, and other health measures — a bill sponsored by Del. Arianna Kelly (D-Montgomery County).    Establishing a statewide housing voucher program with an upfront investment of $15 million.
The 64 legislators in the caucus, which Wilkins said is the most significant Black caucus in the nation, are a powerful voting bloc and include four prominent leaders from both chambers: House Speaker Adrienne Jones (D-Baltimore County), Speaker Pro Tem Sheree Sample Hughes (D-Lower Shore), House Majority Whip Jazz Lewis (D-Prince George’s) and Senate President Pro Tem Malcolm Augustine (D-Prince George’s).
“Our strength is not just in our numbers. It’s in our leadership,” Wilkins said. “The Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland stands together…ensuring that every single one of these priorities are passed this legislative session.”

Blinken Slams Xi Jinping’s Crackdown
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Dec. 1, 2022.--Calling 69-year-old Chinese President Xi Jinping “weak” for stifling dissent in China over Covid-19 lockdowns, 59-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to destroy U.S.-Chinese relations.  Under 80-year-old President Joe Biden’s leadership, China and the U.S. have come closer to war since the 1949 Maoist Revolution.  Biden officials have accused China of various human rights abuses, including genocide against the Muslim Uyghurs along China’s Silk Road in Western China.  Recent protests erupted in Chinese cities over the government’s zero Covid policy, requiring lockdown everywhere in China where viral outbreaks take place.  Xi’s zero tolerance saved potentially millions of lives, where China ranks among the lowest Covid death toll.  Yet when Chinese citizens took to the streets protesting, Blinken couldn’t control his mouth.
Speaking on left-leaning MSNBC Nov. 30,  Blinken said it was “a sign of weakness” for Xi to crack down on street protesters, demanding that the government end its lockdowns with its zero Covid-policy.  When U.S. streets turned into riots, looting and arson in the Summer of 2020 following the death of George Floyd, Xi didn’t condemn U.S. authorities for trying to control the mayhem.  Yet when violent street demonstrations break out in China, the Secretary of State condemns the Communist government as “weak.”  “I think any country where you see people trying to speak out, trying to speak up to protest peacefully, to make know their frustrations, whatever the issues is—in any country where we see that happening and then we see the government take massive, massive repressive action to stop it, that’s no sign of strength,” Blinken said.  “It’s a sign of weakness.”
Blinken has been known for his abrasive rhetoric toward Russia and China, wrecking U.S. diplomatic relations.  At his first meeting with China in Anchorage, Alaska March 18, 2021, Blinken accused Beijing of genocide against Muslim Uyghurs.  Since then, things have gone from bad to worse, with 82-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) formally visiting Taiwan, the Republic of China [ROC]. Street protests erupted in Chinese cities when a high-rise apartment building near Shanhai caught fire with first responders unable to save 10 residents.  Protesters claimed that extreme Covid lock downs prevented firemen from responding more quickly.  Xi promised his Health Minister would reconsider current Covid lock down policies, to end them as quickly as possible to assure first responders get to emergencies.  Blinken suggested that Xi’s standing with the Chinese Communist Party changed.
Blinken knows that Xi was just voted in for another sic-year term, essentially Chinese premier for life. “China has to figure out a way forward on dealing with COVID, a way forward that answers the health needs, but also answers the needs of the people,” Blinken said.  “We can’t address that for them,” implying that the U.S. government stands with street protesters seeking to express grievances to the government.  Nothing antagonizes the Chinese Communist Party than the U.S. trying to create revolution in China.  When the 1989 pro-democracy protests at Tiananmen Square were met with Chinese tanks, U.S. officials did everything to condemn China’s crack down.  U.S. officials backed pro-democracy street protests in Hong Kong June 30, 2020 before Mainland Chinese officials cracked down. Blinken’s support of street demonstrators infuriates the Communist Party.
When comparing over 1.2 million Covid deaths in the United States, China only reports 323,686 deaths, attesting to the government’s zero Covid policy, requiring lockdowns anywhere infections rise in China.  Protests in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing prompted Chinese authorities to crack down with force.  Blinken thinks he can dictate what China does to maintain law-and-order, when street protesters starting calling for the end of Xi’s regime.  China sees infiltration of zero-tolerance Covid policy with foreign pro-democracy groups that have bigger plans to end Chinese Communist rule.  U.S. officials like Blinken see parallels to the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests where thousands of street protesters lost their lives to the Communist Party’s show of force.  Western press reports indicated that Chinese police have conducted stop-and-search checks looking at protesters’ cell phones.
Blinken doesn’t help the abysmal state of U.S.-Chinese relations for condemning the Communist government for cracking down on zero-tolerance protesters.  Using the current situation a Tiananmen Square 2.0 shows Beijing that the U.S. doesn’t hesitate to meddle in China’s internal affairs. Like Taiwan and Hong Kong, Blinken has ripped the Chinese Communist Party for maintaining law-and-order, accusing Beijing of human and civil rights abuses. Biden and his national security team, including 45-year-old Jake Sullivan, have done everything possible to offend the Chinese Communist Party.  Accusing China of genocide and other human rights abuses does nothing to put diplomacy relations on a solid footing.  Once Biden said Sept 23 that he would defend Taiwan with U.S. troops, Xi accused the White House of violating the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act.  Blinken’s remarks only make things worse.

One must be willing to reexamine the suspect ways in which the self constantly exchanges its confusions for fantasies of settled order and out of this order contrives a limited world to inhabit. If our language is not to grow tyrannous in its manipulation of what we perceive, our theoretical persuasions, with their growing vested interests, must initiate challenges from within to their own authority. The practiced ease of any method is the greatest threat to its continued ability to say things that matter. It is precisely this ease that we need to oppose. No system exists to rescue us from tentativeness in our engagement with art and what it knows (about itself and about us).

One of the many pieces of advice from his annoyingly astute grandmother that Aaron ignored was not to regard education as something you "get," like a sailboat, a new wardrobe or a set of golf clubs. Neither was it something merely done to you, she had said, thrust upon your commendably resistant self by dried up authority figures. "It is, ideally, an ongoing experience that you partake of, a process of living through, trying out, with rash leaps, changes of direction, many painful mistakes, and slow, gratifying enlargement." Aaron preferred to adopt the "schooling as product" model. He kept his education, such as it was, separated as far as possible from what he vaguely described as life experience. He did what he needed to do to get the grades that might lead to what he thought of as a "real world" destination. It was like spending an entire camping trip zipped up in his sleeping bag. No ideas became intimate, his imagination was never (at least that he could recall) excitingly unleashed. He inwardly declined that sort of invitation. Instead he toed a self-imposed line, and did so ploddingly, emerging from education with a product exactly fitted to his thin conception of what the whole stupid enterprise was about. And then, having reached his "real world" destination, he began to wonder. And he knew in his heart what he had missed, and how he would be ready to plunge in "for real", if there was a next time.

Guy Maddin- My Winnipeg (2007)
