2015 Health Goals

So in 2014 since July, I’ve been committed to walk/jogging my dog Leela, but it’s been hard to get any other type of workout in. My gym membership is paying for the lights to stay on, I haven’t been going. I’ll have to cancel and attempt to do workouts at home and at the little gym at my apartment complex. Rent is going up anyways so I might as well cut back, especially on things i don’t use. We’re cutting back on cable also. It’s been hard for me to cancel because I do miss going to the gym,  and I keep thinking I’ll try to go every week. However, since having my dog, I don’t like to leave her much. I’d rather try to get her tired and hang out with her more. 

I have the #sworkitapp and #niketrainingapp and #xboxKinect so I should put those to use. #pactapp has been going well! I made about $140 so far, slowly but surely, I make about $2/wk. At the end of the year I’ll be withdrawing my funds and paying a credit card payment with it. I’ll have to take my veggie pact up a little bit more, the hard part is remembering to take a pic before I eat it.

I feel like I’ve slimmed down a little from all the walking/jogging I’ve been doing, but there is still work to be done since I’ve only lost a couple pounds. Clothes are fitting better though! The hard part is the diet, and what I eat… Boo! I think the biggest culprit I’m dealing with is sugar. I get sugar cravings and it’s an addiction that I have. I think if I cut back on the sugar, my body will be happier. 

I used my #polarh7 HRM for the first time today, and it was cool because my runkeeper said I burned 150 calories, but the HRM said I burned 250. It was tough work out to me, because I had to trek through snow and ice and keep my dog under control all at the same time. I hope it’s accurate.

Some health goals I have for 2015 is:

On top of walking/jogging 2-3 miles/day with Leela, I need to add some resistance/weight workouts 3 times a week. 

Have balanced meals and ONLY 1 cheat meal a week. (That’s the challenging one for me)

No sweets, unless it's part of the cheat meal

Eat small meals every 2-3 hours

Low carb dinners

Lose 10 lbs

Cut out coffee (That addiction got a little worse this year)

Start the day with Apple cider vinegar & Lemon water and green tea

Take fish oil supplement (The refrigerated kind)

Drink 64 oz of water a day

Wake up at 6:30am or earlier and feed Leela, start walking at 7:30am (One hour for her to digest her food)
