So what was the holdup on a book series that is definitely my type, you may ask? (<-nobody is but whatevs)

Well, you see. I have a personal Rule that, unless it literally doesn't exist, I Always, Always, read the Spanish Translation first. Why? Because I like reading in Spanish, because I love the art of translation, because even if I miss references there's always something Fun about the type of voices the translators choose to give the characters.

But, guess what. Getting Gideon the Ninth in Spanish was almost an impossible task! It Exists (and so does Harrow and Nona), but my Glob. I had to give up on reading it on print, but I got the ebook! SO FINALLY!

Do you have any recommendations for audio books in Spanish, preferably lgbta+ stories? :)

Sadly most of the audiobooks I listen to are in English cause only the bestsellers are found on the apps I use in Spanish. LGBT+ stories usually don’t get the Spanish audiobook treatment 🙃 That said, I just looked for some on Storytel:

Mystery of love

Alexander the Great, the king of Macedonia, took over most of Asia only to be defeated by the grief of losing Hephaestion. 

I’m no scholar to comment on the manner of the relationship those two had. But what I do believe is that if soulmates truly do exist then those two were it. What love must Alexander have had for his companion to declare him as a god just to reunite with him in the afterlife. Was it truly the grief that made his body succumb or was his mind, body, and soul too tired to wait for the afterlife? 

Maybe they were lovers, maybe they were not, but they’ll always remain a part of each other’s soul.
