“All right, here’s a good one,” said Sirius, who was reciting a few of his favorite jokes. “What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?”

“I don’t know, what?” you asked, remembering the proper etiquette for joke-telling.

The boys burst out laughing, and you frowned.

“I don’t get it,” you said, pouting.

“That’s all right, darling.” Remus kissed your head. “Do you know what a rhetorical question is?”

You shook your head shamefully.

“It’s a question that’s not meant to be answered. The joke is that he’s asking a question as if it has an answer, but because the joke is crossed with a rhetorical question there is no answer. D’ya get it now, pup?”

Your mouth opened in a small round “O” shape before breaking into a giggly grin. “Yeah, that’s funny!”

James and Sirius snickered a bit and you hid further behind Remus.

“Hey, stop that,” Remus snapped. “She can’t help it if she doesn’t understand everything, don’t make her feel bad ‘bout it.”

The other two boys gave each other a look, but sighed and apologized to you anyway.

“It’s all right,” you said timidly.

“D’ya wanna go back to my dorm, bunny?” Remus asked, lips close to your ear so only you could hear him.

You nodded and he threaded his fingers through yours. He let James and Sirius know where he was going before taking you through the Gryffindor common room, hands clasped all the way.

“‘M sorry about them, sweetheart,” he said softly into your hair.

“You don’t need to be,” you told him, wrapping your arms round his waist. “I know I’m not bright, you don’t need to defend me.”

“Yes, I do,” he replied firmly. “You’re my girlfriend and I don’t want anyone saying a bad word about you. You may not be smart but you’re so many other things, you’re my amazing sweet girl.”

Happy New Year everyone! Welcoming 2023 with a grateful heart and appreciation for everyone who accompanied me in 2022. 1.) i have heard OF the mechanisms, but i don't recall having listened to anything of theirs on purpose (nor would i recognize it).

2.) ghost grinder #1 for sure but the pulls and bad days on the horizon music videos really pop for me lmao

But off stage she's a complete dork who acts more like a maknae and shows off her natural cute side to the other members

Damn girl, is the rent due or something? Because fem!Hao is feeling herself in every song and fans absolutely adore her for it

🍀 Hanbin - Aespa

This seems like the obvious choice for mother, after all, fem!Hanbin is an icon and boy does she know it

Have you seen the tutting choreo for Hold On Tight? She ate it up and left absolutely zero crumbs. She may probably even created the choreo (in this timeline)

She's got sass and she's got class. Fem!Hanbin Pulls off all of Aespa's choreographies flawlessly.. but are you really surprised?

I think of this group as being quite sharp and clean in their choreo which goes well with Hanbin in my opinion???

I don't know much about these girls just yet but their music! It slaps and I think his vibe would fit well with theirs

Fem!Ricky would enjoy doing a hip concept like Shhh. It's cool and fresh and she would be living for it

She's similar in age as well so I think they'd all get along quite easily as they understand each other better

Their choreo is sexy enough for fem!Ricky to make the fans swoon but not over-the-top to the point it feels awkward to her

☘ Gunwook - Everglow

Queens? Queens. Everglow never come here to play around and neither does Gunwook they deserve better though

She's that member who looks super intimidating because she's both pretty and so talented. We all know she's an absolute sweetie though

Oh how the members would dote on her as the new youngest. Fem!Gunwook gets the princess treatment, especially because of the age gap

Although he rocked Say My Name, I feel like fem!Yujin wouldn't want to have a cute concept all the time… every once in a while is enough

So she wouldn't want to be in a super cutesy group but not one that has overly sexy concepts either

Both she AND Eunchae get the maknae treatment, like I don't think having a new youngest member would change that

And they'd use it to their advantage, too. Fem!Yujin has found her new partner in crime… mostly to get more snacks

Hey, I just recently started posting my stories to Tumblr, and I was curious how you find stories (I've seen your Monday of Appreciation posts). I'm just wondering because it seems more difficult to gain traction on this site compared to some of the other ones (easily getting 100s of reads in a short time after updates), but I am probably just doing something wrong. Anonymous ask because I don't want to seem like I'm trying to advertise without permission!

Hm, lemme gather some advice for what I believe is somewhat the meta on how to get into MoA, along with bonus advice for our Tumblr-writing-bubble in general.

MoA-Advice:

1. I try to widen my scope of idols I read about, but I won't lie: IZ*ONE, IVE, as well as other idols I really like are a lot more likely to land on MoA. Basically: write them and you have a bigger chance.

2. Appereance is key. Put interesting information about the fic right at the top, below the title (like e.g. I do) or maybe below the pic/gif. Also: USE PICS, but y'all probably know that. It really helps to kickstart the imagination, even idol X might wear sth different.

You don't have to put in every detail at the start like I do, but hints about length, tags, kinks, other interesting trivia are crucial for me to continue reading.

3. Grammar and spelling don't have to perfect, and your style does not have to be exquisite or utterly brilliant like some of the legend on here, but:

Show variety, use different structures for your sentences and unique words. Repetition can make a fic jarring to read.

Tumblr-Bubble-Advice:

1. If your goal is to be succesful, you should try to get a feel for what is Meta in terms of length, idol and kinks.

Length above 5k and below 10k is in my observation what a lot of readers like. It's not too long to take too much time (to fap or whatever filthy things you naughty ppl are doing), but at the same time it's more than just a scene without substance (meaning there is more than dull, blunt sex, probably).

Meta-Idols... are hard to define. Popular groups should always work, but there is still a difference between Mina/Tzuyu and Jihyo/Jeongyeon, so even in a GOAT gg like Twice you should go for more popular members (if success is your only goal). Other than that, Karina, Yuna, Ahn Yujin are always popular; young, big boobs/butts, idols with mature/sexy concepts in their group (LSFM, (G)I-DLE) are often well received.

Daddy-Kink has been overused, but it never fails soooooo feel free to use that. Any kind of dynamic with power (dom!idols sub!reader as well) can definitely work, really depends on the idol though. Rough, hard sex for "sluts" (confident, sexy idols) and cuddles and kisses for cute idols...

2. This one is obvious: DON'T STEAL WORK/IDEAS! Someone will find them and it's also lame af

3. Ignore everything I said as it is only an observation and subject to change because everything does with time. Write what you want, how you want, when you want. Have fun, otherwise it's not worth it.

(We don't get money on here btw, at least not from notes)

(Also: don't write ua idols. Use your brain.)

New Year's Ask Game for Fic Writers

Tagged by @mybrainismelted & @rayrayor to answer a few questions about the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024. Whew!

To close out 2023…

1) what fic did you have the most fun writing this year and why? Or, if you can’t decide, what was most fun about writing this year for you?

I had a ton of fun writing When You Call Unexpected with @gallavichgeek and All I Wanna Do with @notherenewjersey.

I always have fun writing with NJ, we're cut from the same cloth in so many ways.

Writing with GG was so much a pleasant surprise. I had no idea we were going to have so much in common & we ended up writing something so pretty.

2) what’s a scene/story that you finished and felt “wow, I really accomplished that, that actually went so well”?

This year, it was def' the one-shot I wrote for The Bear, Service Work. It's always fun to to write for a different fandom; it lets me flex my writing muscles a little. 

3) What helped provide the most inspiration for stories, if anything? Was it poetry? A song on repeat? A gorgeous gifset? A walk outside? A book you read that made you want to change everything? Whatever it was! Tell all.

Inspiration comes from the most random places. Books, songs, gifs, HCs, comments, fandom conversations... the list is endless.

4) What is something you want to share about what you’ve written this year? A particular line, a comment that made you feel really good, a scene that was difficult to write — you get to choose! What do you wish someone would ask you about when it comes to what you’ve written?

I think my favorite was when someone called WYCU "educational." It's right up there with all the times people have said things like, "I don't normally read XYZ, but this fic changed my mind." 😍🤩

And to start off 2024…

1) do you have any writing/creation goals for the year? What are they?

Yes, finish my WIPs.

2) is there a fic or idea that you’re really excited to be able to continue to work on in the new year (shout out to my fellow fic writing folks who take forever to finish wips, sometimes it’s nice to be able to continue working on something even if you wish you’d gotten it done! Now you get even MORE time with it!)

I love the part of my writing when I feel like the conductor of an orchestra, like all the little pieces are falling in line and bending to my will. (OK, I know that's cringe, whatever, I don't care.)

hi lovelies, nabis and moots. i know i already drop a hint that i 'll host another event when i hit a biggest milestone i been waiting for a very long time and finally, it happened. yes, we hit 2k everyone! also it's alr 2.1k+ since i posted my ms post,all thanks to you guys that i love and adore so much. now I'm sorry for making everyone waiting. work made me busy and exhausted.

now to celebrate this beautiful milestone, also because endlesslywe did reach it's first hundred, slowly climbing to 200 ( i need to be active there again) while renjwoo is it's in four hundred almost it's five soon. i planned to make a event titled " k pop films event ".

what's the themed about and how it works?

films are about series and movies that we love to watch when it's our free time. mostly in netflix, so how it will connect to kpop?

STEPS TO FOLLOW :

✨🎥 you need to make a moodboard that will be themed from any movie or series that already been released to the public. i wanna set your freedom to choose so more access to a great masterpiece + i might have a chance to know new films to watch if you ever pick a title that i don't have a chance to watch yet.

✨🎥 pick a kpop idol (from any gg, bg or even soloist) that will be a good match to your made up character in your choosen title film that will be the final concept of your mb.

✨🎥 make sure that your moodboard is pure themed of the movie or series you'll pick or else your mb will instantly lose it chance to win even it have a good color scheme.

How law initially sees mako

When he reunites with her 10+ years later and discovers feels.

Like I’m a 100% certain law ain’t no virgin but when it’s comes to having an actual romantic relationship with someone especially if that someone is up until now I just realized is a woman who I’m actually attracted to in a romantic way. Yeah he’s hopeless.

The good news is she kinda oblivious or a really good actress.

I tend to headcanon most of the D. characters as ace (Ace especially), but like Law looks like the type to have "fuck it, I might as well" and then go "that was a waste of time" while he was with his crew. (Luffy and Ace are too aro/ace spec to even be curious, though in Ace's case, he's more "I knew I forgot to do something!! Oh well, more food for me")

And then Mako feels hit him like a train and he's exactly the embodiment of that gif. Like "wtf wtf wtf"

Meanwhile Mako just figured out that "you can do anything you want forever" with gender, so she's all "ayo 👀 "

(meeting Bentham Bon Kurei in person awakened something in Mako that day...woman isn't wrong, but if you want specifics, she has nothing to say, just moves her hand left to right like ehhhhh - just don't call her a boy outside of comedic moments like DAD OF BOY KRATOS "BOY")

She may have been created before I had my own gender discovery, but she is not exempt from nonbiney shenanigans. Which is also not helping Law and might've kickstarted the feelings as a whole cuz like men and women? Lmao, not interested.

Woman who is Mako?? Uh oh. Mako in general??

Meanwhile Mako is just "what are feelings?" And gets curbstomped post whole cake island like "ROBIN, HELP, MY HEART IS ACTING UP!!"

Years without actually crushing on someone and boom, it's over.

Fun fact: Mako was in the womb for like 13 ish months before she was born, and due to the stress her Mama went through, she was almost a premie.

As a result, mentally, she is a lot older than she physically is, and that's ignoring the reincarnation situation. Similarly, Ace who was in the womb for 20 months is also a lot more older mentally. Which creates a fucky situation between body and mind for a good chunk of your life, so these two are in the same boat of "Mama let us cook too long for our own good"

So yeah, that's why Mako is a little shit out of boredom. :V
