I'm reading posts that talk about a rewrite of G3 to make it look like G1? Honestly... Why? Let the newcomers have fun with G3. Let children and adolescents feel identified with characters that adapt to new generations.
Instead: why don't they demand a continuation of G1? What do I care about the life of a teenager between 14 and 17 years old? GIVE ME EXISTENTIAL CRISIS OF YOUNG ADULTS BETWEEN 20 AND 30!!!!
Give me a Deuce who feels stuck because he doesn't know what to do with his life!!! Give me a Gil who is looking to move out of his parents' house because he can't stand them anymore!! GIVE ME FRANKIE GOING INTO CRISIS BECAUSE SHE KNOWS HOW TO BE AN ADULT!! IT COST HORRORS FOR HER TO BE A TEENAGER, BEING A FUNCTIONAL ADULT IS KILLING HER!!!
Show how Clawdeen strives to be a dressmaker! What the world of modeling is like!! IT'S NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKED WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER! Show how Jackson and Holt try to balance their lives so that each one fulfills what they dream of! Show how you organize yourself so that Holt has rehearsals and goes to concerts!! While Jackson manages his college study schedule!! Show Cleo struggling to grow up. This girl was a princess from ancient Egypt and probably had a pre-written life. Now that is not possible. She is grateful but horrified in equal parts because she no longer knows how to continue. Damn, show Toralei trying to achieve a better future but with a background that complicates her life!! OH MY GOD!!! SHE WAS IN A JUVENILE PRISON!!! THAT FILE IS BITTING HIS BUTT IN THE WORST WAY!!
I want characters I can identify with too. But I am no longer a child or teenager, I am an adult. I want adult characters that I can empathize with, identify with, and want to hug because I know how hard it is to try to be a functional adult.
Please leave G3 alone and give me a big sequel to G1.

Hey could I ask for a Thenamesh human au were Thena is raising her little sisters (Sersi and Sprite) after their parents die and Gilgamesh is her co-worker who finds her having a mini breakdown and comforts her? Kinda slow burn-ish and no smut if possible
"Sorry!"
Thena pressed even harder on her eyebrows, sure she would get bruises from it. Maybe then she might actually get medical clearance for time off. "It's fine."
"I didn't mean-"
"It's fine!" she snapped at him again, shifting to swipe at the corners of her eyes and wipe the tears onto her fingertips and then on the sleeves of her cardigan. "I was just...looking for something."
But all she heard was the door shutting gently.
Thena sighed, picking her head up and looking around the shelves. All that was in here was extra paper and printer ink. "Gil, I'm fine."
Gil was sweet, if a little too sweet. He went out of his way for people, which their firm really discouraged. But he was going into family law, which was easy to tell from the 'everything' about him.
"Yeah, I just, uh," she heard him shuffle around before finally turning to glare at him. Her glower was usually strong enough to scare away anyone else. He pointed at the shelf of toner. "Printer."
She closed her eyes, feeling the throbbing in her head from her coffee and the twitch in her eyes from her need for sleep. But they had a lot of contracts to examine, and Sersi was in the middle of the soccer season, which meant she didn't even get home until 6, which pushed dinner to 7 and that said nothing about homework and getting Sprite to bed at a decent hour.
"Um," Gilgamesh gulped, tugging at the suit he was wearing. It was standard attire for the firm, of course, but she always imagined he had a hard time finding suits to really fit him. Perhaps he needed shirts and Jackets in one fitting and trousers in a smaller one. "How was Sersi's game?"
She whipped her head up at him, and she must have looked ready for murder by the way he flinched. "What?"
He went stiff as a board, practically pressing his back to the door. "S-Sersi--your sister, you said she had a soccer game on friday. H-How did it go...if that's okay."
Right, friday; she had rushed home from work, still with half a day's work to complete, picked up Sprite, gotten her not to gripe all through grocery shopping, bundled her up for Sersi's game, which was a loss, and it was a hard loss, and Sersi got a few scrapes and bruises, so then they were both a little cranky for the start of the weekend, and of course that meant she didn't actually get any work done-
"Thena?"
She blinked, feeling as if she had gone somewhere else entirely. This was getting ridiculous. She just needed coffee, she reasoned. Even more coffee. She shook her head.
"Hey," he whispered, not moving from the door to let her out, despite her moving closer. "Are you okay? I know you're...I know you've got a lot on your plate."
A lot on her plate? She had that already with this job and the beginnings of her career. Her student debt alone would be more than a full plate.
That was before handling a joint funeral, and counselling for her sisters, and getting them back to school, and a full year of them not being themselves. And then, when they finally seem to be getting better, both of them start having the worst time with school in their lives.
Or maybe their mother was just better at dealing with it than Thena could say for herself. And while their father wasn't exactly her favourite person, let alone parent, her first year of filing her taxes with two dependants was enough for her to look into a decent accountant for this year.
"Listen, I know you've got this under control," Gil continued, visibly worried about saying the wrong thing. "I know you're tougher than I could ever imagine."
She really didn't know about that.
"But if you need--I mean, if you ever want a hand with anything, or even just logistics, or carpooling or something," he suggested, losing confidence with every new idea. His massive shoulders drooped and he gave her those big, sad puppy dog eyes that always got him the best desk and the best cases and the best lunch, "just let me know, y'know?"
Thena gulped. Heat rose up in her as the horror of her tears resurfaced. She was done crying. It was the middle of the work day. She didn't have time for this. This had never been an issue before.
Can we have lasagne?
Just that simple text from Sprite had set her off. Because Sprite loved lasagne--she loved their mother's lasagne. And for an entire year Sprite couldn't even stand hearing the word, let alone the sight of it. And to have her ask for it, when they all knew that Thena was somehow the worst cook of all three of them.
Gil blinked as Thena dropped her head, squeezing her eyes shut and pressing her hand over her eyebrows again. His hands hovered around her, never crossing the last few inches of boundary she held.
Thena was just as shocked as she leaned froward and her forehead met something firm. But she couldn't choke it all back, a squeak escaping her as her tears dropped to the musty old storage closet carpet below.
"Hey," he whispered soothingly. Of course the bastard was great at comforting people too. Why wouldn't he be? Why wouldn't he be so completely perfect? "It'll be okay."
She usually hated when people spoke so certainly. Because what did they know? What assurance did they have? But Gil meant well. He only ever meant well. Her breathing slowed and she realised she was truly letting him embrace her. What an unfortunate turn this had taken. But he was warm, and he smelled nice. And it felt nice when he rubbed her back.
Gil let her pull away, not making a grand affair out of the whole thing. He brushed away a few more tears of hers, "you okay?"
She nodded. She was far, far from it. But she could probably get through the rest of the work day without humiliating herself further. Her throat felt dry as a bone. "Thank you."
Gil tilted his head at her. He did give off the first impression that he would be some meathead, into his own looks and loud and brash and hypermasculine. But he was kind, he was considerate of others and his good nature only made him more sensitive to those around him. "I mean it, Thena, if there's anything you need at all."
He was one of only a few who even knew about her sisters. She didn't really go around announcing her past, and she wasn't one for keeping precious personal keepsakes on her desk either. But Gil had once seen her phone light up with a notification and asked who the girls on her lockscreen were.
And as much as she could have told him to mind his own business - and he would have, knowing him - it seemed worse to ignore it. So she had told him about her sisters, and how she had basically acquired them as children, as far as the state was concerned.
The biggest advantage to Gilgamesh knowing about her duties outside the office was that he was her biggest defender whenever she couldn't make events outside of work. Of course a lot of deals happened out of the office as well as in, and being able to seal those deals came with the job. But Gil always had an excuse ready for her when she couldn't join them for drinks after work, or make a round of golf or two on sunday morning.
He smiled as she finally picked her head up. "There she is."
She chose to ignore that. She sniffled, dabbing at her eyes again. If anyone asked her if she was okay once she stepped out of this closet, she might commit an act worthy of termination. "Thanks."
"Any time," he shrugged. He still didn't leave. "I saw you get up from your desk. I thought-"
Silence came over him, perhaps at the admission that he had all but followed her here. Any other coworker and she would have her keys in her hand and a knife with his car's name on it. But only Gilgamesh could say something like that and have it be just as innocent as he meant it.
"Sorry," he concluded, having discouraged himself yet again. He blushed.
She truly was a bitch of epic proportions to inspire this level of fear from the sweetest man alive, she gathered. Usually that wasn't a problem, of course, but just this once: it was undeserved. "That's nice of you, Gil."
That seemed to surprise him even more than walking in on her crying in the closet.
She finally reached for the doorknob, and Gil nearly leapt out of her way. She headed back to her desk, with the same papers in hand as when she had first gone in. At least at her desk, she could take a breath. Her computer was still open on emails, she set the papers beside her.
Of course
She replied to Sprite, although if she got more texts she was just going to tell her not to text in class.
If her sister wanted lasagne, then she would find a way to make it happen. Affection was not her most polished skill, but love needed no polishing. If her baby sister wanted lasagne, she would have it.
If only she weren't a horrendously bad cook.
Sersi was decent, but she only ever let her help when Sersi herself seemed eager to do so, and that was usually on weekends. And Ajak was an excellent cook. Her handwritten recipes alone would not help Thena actually produce the promised product.
Thena picked up her phone again. She scrolled until she could select the contact in her phone. Perhaps it was silly to text him when his desk was in sight of hers. She was just in a closet with the man. But she selected his name and typed.
Can you make lasagne?

koo ryeon's husband joong-gil couldn't understand why she was still traumised and was having nightmares even after she was safe. but seeing ryeon's lifeless body he had nightmares even as a reaper. he couldn't understand why gop-dan's death broke her. he never understood why people would take their own lives but koo ryeon doing that completely broke him and wounded his soul forever. he carried all that pain in his next lives and to the afterworld. so as a grim reaper he tried to make sure the souls he was escorting wouldn't go through the same trauma he did even though he didn't remember. he got his memories locked through reaper's guarantee because it was literally impossible for him to be whole again without her. he met her again as a reaper but then she left him again and this time it was to save those who were gonna try to kill themselves. without memories his pain had turned into anger. getting the memories back he understood her pain and his anger. he understood that all his pain and anger were always about him needing ryeon to be by his side on the land of the living and in the afterworld. park joong-gil was always about koo ryeon and i think that's beautiful.

Today was Gil Hedley's 5 hour "nerve tour"  - which really was a tour de force of science, philosophy, theology, art and comedy.
Both educational and inspirational, his talk and energy brought me to tears several times as it became almost a renewing-of-vows kind of experience i.e. why do I do what I do and why is it important and why do I love it?
I fell in love with anatomy way back in the 1970s through experiences having to do with movement, performance, inner practicesand Mabel Todd's "The Thinking Body." As Gil Hedley puts it, "we live beyond our skin" and the energy of life isn't the "stuff."
But "the stuff" is important and shows itself again and again in the replication of patterns both inside the body and inside nature.
We are surrounded by the evidence of creation "whole continuous and united" which shows up in looking at the footprints of life.
"Integral Anatomy" allows and encourages us to feel the connections inside of oneself.  Using the two attention styles of both brain hemispheres, we experience our own internal anatomy and create a resonance that connects us not just to ourselves and to others but to all of nature.  We are always entraining the space around us.
"Hold your good practices dearly, and the stories you tell about them very lightly."
As we journey with the lecturer, into his journey through the dissection of the nervous system, it is more of a presentation of a thought process, of a mandala, of a meditation on life and form and expression. As we share the energy of this deeply spiritual and respectful look literally inside a human being, we are following in our own neural pathways and tissues.
Both educational and inspirational.
"Let these gentle living waters carry you away ~ wait for nothing already flowing within you
now."
If You Wait If you wait for the pain to be gone to feel your pleasure, you will miss heaven on earth. If you wait to be understood to live the life you've come to live, you will die before you do. If you wait for another to love before you will, you hold your own heart closed. Pleasure, life and Loving freely overlap, braid and meander 'round the bends, dissolve censure, and splay open narrow paths, filling empty places quenching all. Let these gentle living waters carry you away ~ wait for nothing already flowing within you now.

devyn’s study
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as devyn would describe it “stupidly big” bc it is quite big. bigger than karlheinz’ own study because she actually got what was the king’s late father’s study room, a renovated version of it — after his death, karl chose to stick to his own study room, the same one he had since a young prince and let his father’s office to gather dust until he thought of giving devyn that as her own; it’s safe to say that you will find her study faster than the king’s since it’s so obviously placed despite having it on the same hall as his own — which is literally a random room along 10 more while devyn’s is facing the royal library from the other end of the hall
it’s a double room situation-ship: when you first enter you find yourself in a library/lounge area type of room, the place is very spacious and has walls full of books from top to bottom, the only exception are the wall where the fireplace is located, which has a big mirror above it and two sets of portraits located on it’s left and right, the wall between the lounge area and the actual study room and half of the wall where the entrance to the lounge are is located which host the same type of portraits — each of them illustrating the head of the kang family and the head of the sakamaki family of each generation besides the current and last generation which are devyn and karlheinz, respectively dong hwa and karl’s late father
Tumblr media
while the entrance to the main area is through a pair of big double oak doors with mirrors attached facing the interior of the room, the entrance to the actual office is composed of a slightly smaller version of the main doors, without the mirrors revealing a smaller version with of the main room
Tumblr media
the study room itself is quite cozy and roughly the same size as karl’s office, just a tad bit larger than him; the wall facing her left is fully occupied by windows, bringing light into the dark coloured room, the wall behind her had the two “absent” portraits from the main room, the one to her right has an extension of the library found in the first room
her desk is always organised, especially it’s drawers: left top drawer: spare pens and ink, middle left drawer: spare paper; lower left drawer: usually empty, but in need stores medicine; top right drawer: very handy cigarettes and cigarette holder, alongside a lighter or two; middle right drawer: sweets, usually chocolate; lower right drawer: the actually “appointed” medicine drawer; on the desk you’ll always find a stack of neatly placed papers ready to be used for letters or documents, a pen and a quill, her and sometime (maybe too many times) karl’s box full of documents, a lamp and most of the time a cup of tea, as well as framed pictures of her loved ones
behind her desk is also the fireplace, above it being the two paintings mentioned earlier and on each side of the fireplace are cabinets yet again full of documents and records;

The human au is very interesting! Would you do another one? Maybe they get attacked by the deviants and Thena is a bit too late to protect Gil and he gets hurt badly while he saves a kid?
The last thing he remembered was that little girl, standing in the middle of the chaos, looking up at the wall. But whatever they were fighting out there was big.
Gil was forbidden from leaving the gates when they were under attack, even to help get people inside. Partially by Ajak's order and strongly enforced by Thena, it was simply too dangerous for him to be out there.
He was as good as human, now.
He had run over to the girl, protecting her with his own body as a section of wall crumbled from the outside in. Human or not, he was still bigger than she was, and he could still protect humans, even if he was one.
"What happened?"
"You saved a young child," Ajak smiled down at him. She must have healed him, because the pain in his body was screaming.
"Some of the wall fell around and," Sersi grimaced, "on you."
"Don't worry, pal, the kid's fine," Kingo reassured.
Gil's eyes moved around them all. He could even see Druig and Ikaris on the outskirts of their little group. He groaned, "Thena?"
Looks were traded. Ajak looked behind her and nodded her head before looking down at him again. "You should rest, Gilgamesh."
The rest of the Eternals took their leave, leaving the Warrior Eternal to take their place to be the one and only in his vision. He looked up at her, trying to read the expression - or lack thereof - on her face.
"Are you in pain?"
Yes, he was in agony. He blinked at her, "not bad."
Still, she just stared at him, "you lie."
He watched as she moved around Phastos' examination table. He grunted as he tried to sit himself up, "that makes two of us."
"Gil," she put her hand to his chest.
He huffed, flopping back down again. He would have smacked his head on the table if not for her hand cradling the back of it. "Please?"
Thena kept her hand pressed on his chest, but did eventually move one to his back to help him up. "You must move gently. You were gravely injured, Gilgamesh."
He winced as his body took on its own weight again. "I don't remember."
"Perhaps because the gravity of your injury is blocking your memory."
He looked up at her. That eerily still expression was gone but it was replaced with an even worse on. "You're mad at me?"
"Do not trivialise this, Gilgamesh," she scowled at him. He did have to consider himself lucky. If he were anyone else he would be getting a lot more hell than just this. "You were nearer death than I have ever seen you."
He attempted a smile, "I saved that kid, right?"
Thena looked away. She had no argument to that, nor would she shame him for it, no matter her feelings on the issue. Her approach changed direction, "you were told to stay within the walls."
"I was, technically," he pointed out, not that it was helping his case.
She glared at him, "Gilgamesh."
"Hey, I'm the one injured here," he countered, but that just worsened things again. Her fists clenched and she leaned on the edge of the table. He frowned, "Thena?"
"I cannot be in two places at once," she conceded, and it sounded like she deeply and truly resented having to admit such a reality. She finally looked at him, eyes screaming what she could not. "There is only so much I can do to protect you."
Gil sighed, although his broken and then healed ribs protested. "You're protecting me day in and day out, already."
"Does that displease you?"
"I'm not saying that," he cut in quickly. He held out his hand, and was relieved when it seemed that this at least remained the same for them. He brought it to his lips. "How do we make this work?"
Thena bent herself to kiss his lips this time, gentle in a way that made them both want to cry.
"I can't go on like I'm made of glass," he stated aloud that which everyone had been avoiding saying. "And you know it."
"And what would you have me do?" she whispered, locking their fingers together. "Allow you to walk into harm's way when you are mortal?--something you would never allow to happen to me if I were in your place?"
She used that argument often. And she was right; if she had mysteriously turned human overnight he would nary let her out of his sight, let alone onto the battlefield.
And keeping her from fighting would hurt something inside of her, no matter how safe he kept her.
Thena touched her forehead to his, "I know you want to help."
"I can't do nothing, Thena."
"Of course not," she accepted, deeply saddened by his happy declaration. "But I will not watch you die, either."
Gil ran his hand over her cheek. It felt the same, even if he had no Cosmic Energy under his skin. He could still feel hers, though, as if rising to just under her skin, calling out to him. "I promise you won't."
Normally she would scold him for making a promise over which he held so little control. Now, all she did was lean into his touch. "I was too late, today. If that happens again-"
"It won't." Now he was just lying to her. But he tipped her lips to his again. "Hey."
She indulged him, looking into his eyes with her green ones.
"Y'know," he murmured, "this doesn't have an end in sight. Are you really ready to face...what if I never-"
Thena placed her finger upon his lips, then her own lips. She smiled, "am I prepared to have a human for a partner, you mean?"
He blushed.
She inhaled against his cheek. This was the most she had touched him in weeks. "If it's you."
