caleb describing the room number four: the messed up sheets, the books on illusion, the frozen moment in time of his life in an academy and beau putting two and two together — it was hers.

fjord catching caleb's mention of stairs leading up and having a feeling that it was caleb's childhood space and asking to see it, and then smiling brightly when caleb jumps on this particular step that creaks

these are things that they know about caleb and that means that they care. and maybe they do not understand his way of dealing with his memories — caleb knows he's safe, he's loved and he's accepted. he knows it good enough to share what he knows is hard to understand and explain but he trusts them nonetheless.

orym has such a calm, soothing voice that i really enjoy listening to. it's that sort of timid and quiet that makes you pay closer attention because orym doesn't talk much but when he does it feels special, even if he is not saying anything of big importance.

orym's voice is comfortable, like cotton soft and warm like sun. and i find his voice to be my safe space. i trust him. i want to lean into it. i bet it feels even better if you hug him.

i just find comfort in orym, that's all.
