Does he know I have a crush on him? Is he going to reject me? Are we not going to be friends? Owen stared at the door, fidgeting. When Kiel came through the doorway, Owen’s breath hitched. He was beautiful. His purple eyes’ sparkled. His warm smile glimmered. His rosy cheeks shined. If Owen didn’t know better, he would think Kiel put on blush for him.Owen saw Kiel look around, and when he saw him, his face lit up. Can you do a gnowen soulmate AU?

•Owen has heard stories about colors. He’s heard people use them to describe how things looked, and has always wanted to see them! He absolutely couldn’t wait to meet his soulmate!

•He starts making physical contact with everyone in anyway that he can: hand holding, hugs, small things like that, but none of the people he’s touched were his soulmate.

•Time passes, and no sign of of his soulmate anywhere. He starts to think that maybe he doesn’t have a soulmate, and he’ll never get to know what colors are.

•His mom tries to comfort him, saying he doesn’t need a soulmate to be happy. It does work for a while, given that his mom never found her soulmate either, so at least she understands how he feels.

•Going into the Kiel Gnomenfoot books, he still can’t see colors, but he does meet Charm. And for a while, he thinks that she could be his soulmate. Maybe he couldn’t find his soulmate because his soulmate was fictional this whole time!

•He eventually finds that no, she’s not his soulmate. When they go to Quanterium and the Scientific Method crashes with Charm saving him, as she collapses on top of him, he realizes that he still can’t see color.

•When Kiel decides to stay in the nonfictional world for a while, Owen is pretty excited, and forgets the whole soulmate thing for a while, until he accidentally crashes into Kiel in the hallway between classes.

•He gets up, apologizing profusely for that, but stops mid-sentence as he looks at Kiel. For the first time in his life, he notices what a beautiful purple Kiel’s eyes are. It’s immediately his favorite color.
