Not kidding, it totally did take me over 40 years for me to learn to love myself. Thankfully, others have loved me along the way, even when I didn't love, or even like myself very much. As a single mom of 2 seriously amazing and ridiculously intelligent kids (20 and 12), I really don't have time for those who don't like me. I'm far too busy keeping up with my kids and my life to have time to worry if someone likes me or not. Rest assured, I'm NOT paying attention to the haters. It feels so good to be able to say that finally. For so long I tried to make everyone like me. I was a people pleaser, but I was getting lost in what everyone else's opinions of me were. And, believe me, *everyone* has opinions. What I needed to realize, and finally did a few years ago, is that at the end of the day the only people whose opinions of me actually matter is God's and my kids. When I'm good with them, I'm good. Period. I can sleep well at night knowing that they know me and love me in spite of my many flaws. And when I'm doing the right thing by them, the rest of my life tends to fall into place. This is not to show a progression in weight loss. I'm doing pretty okay there. Gotta get my eating habits in check and I know I'll hit my goals. These pics are about this shirt specifically. I got this shirt back in 2017 for running a race and I absolutely hated how this shirt fit me. Before last year I was super top heavy. Part of the Mega Jugs Crew and all that. After my reconstructive surgery I was upset because I felt like I lost a big part of me and I did. Call it vanity I could give two shyts about your opinion in this matter. It's my body and I was not happy with what happened to me. I've hidden myself trying to work thru my issues with my new physical appearance. Very few people have seen me. I know how to hide my body pretty damn well. Today I put this shirt on for the first time in years and it actually fits me. While I have a way to go in my feelings today was the first time in a long time I didnt feel anger about the reconstruction. Baby steps right. I still cry when I think about everything I went thru but I'm happy I'm here and can cry about it. Also happy that im getting better with my new normal. They dont tell you how to feel after all the cancer is gone and your finally able to process what you went thru it's okay to not be okay and it's okay to feel what you're feeling. It's hard to ask for help sometimes when your village doesn't understand what you're going through. But I'm good and happy for the people that are around me. Getting Through

When you look in the mirror can you see me? I could only wish you could see the pain you left me in, the pieces of me that I could not pick up so I had to leave them behind. You shattered my soul into a thousand pieces. You left me for dead and walked away like I was nothing to you. For 15 years of my life you were all I knew. All I had. My lover my soul mate and most of all my best friend. You misled me deceived me and used me. Its been almost 4 years now and I still feel the pain. Will it ever stop? Yes. Do I know when? No. You walked away and didnt even consider my feelings. You married a person you knew for 2 years from the back stretch of a dirty dusty race track who lived in a grungy camper and wrote me off like I was just a piece of garbage you found on the side of the road. I hope you are happy with the pain you inflicted upon me while the only thing I was doing is trying to keep my family together. A day will come in your life when the same exact thing you did to me will happen to you. I struggle daily but you know what I am still here standing on my own two feet breaking through these wall that you built around me.

GODS ARMOR The armor of God is an important truth to understand and apply. 📖 Ephesians 6:14-17 describes the 6 pieces of the armor of God.  To put on the whole armor means to believe all that Jesus has done (📖 Eph. 1-3) and to live it out in daily life (📖 Eph. 4-5). It is living in the power of everything that God has done in every area of life even when there are challenges. In other words, to understand the armor of God in 📖 Ephesians 6 correctly, you have to look at what 📖 Ephesians chapters 1-5 say. It has to be understood in its right context. Putting on the whole armor of God is not mainly about a technique or paying attention to darkness and evil. It’s not about a secret prayer, a mystical spiritual experience, or visualization techniques.  To put on the full armor of God is to apply all of the Gospel to all of your life.
