Paul's Journey to Rome Acts 28 Explained Good day, everyone! Today, let's delve into Acts 28, the final chapter of Acts, which beautifully illustrates God’s providence and the unstoppable nature of His mission through Paul’s journey to Rome. Acts 28 begins with Paul and the other survivors from the shipwreck reaching the island of Malta. The islanders show extraordinary kindness, and while gathering firewood, Paul is bitten by a viper. The locals expect him to die, but Paul shakes the snake off into the fire and suffers no ill effects. Amazed, they believe he must be divine. Paul uses this opportunity to heal the island chief’s father and many others, demonstrating God’s power and grace. Even in unexpected and adverse situations, God can use us to display His power and love. Paul’s faith and God’s protection turn a potential disaster into a powerful testimony. After three months, Paul and his companions set sail for Rome. Upon arrival, Paul is allowed to live by himself under guard. Despite being a prisoner, his influence and mission continue undeterred. Paul’s journey to Rome fulfills God’s promise and opens new opportunities for the gospel. God’s promises are steadfast. Paul’s unwavering faith and mission show us that no matter the circumstances, God’s plan will always prevail. In Rome, Paul calls together the local Jewish leaders to explain his situation. Some believe his message, while others do not. Paul boldly proclaims the kingdom of God and teaches about Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance, even while under house arrest. Paul’s steadfastness in spreading the gospel, despite imprisonment, teaches us the importance of perseverance and dedication to God’s mission. He uses every opportunity to witness, showing that the gospel cannot be chained. Acts 28 is a powerful reminder of God’s providence and the unstoppable nature of His mission. From surviving a shipwreck to ministering under house arrest in Rome, Paul’s journey illustrates unwavering faith, divine protection, and the boundless

Providence in the Problem | Galatians 4:13-16
You know it was because of a bodily ailment that I preached the gospel to you at first, and though my condition was a trial to you, you did not scorn or despise me, but received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus. What then has become of your blessedness? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have gouged out your eyes and given them to me. Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth? — Galatians 4:13-16
CALL OUT: I want to give a shout-out to Dan Clements from Lawrenceville, GA. He bought a few Galatian Scripture Journals the other day. Thank you for leading men.
God's providence works in surprising ways. Sometimes, a weakness, sickness, pain, or problem gives way to an opportunity to present the Gospel.
When it comes to our relationship with God, I think sometimes we get a little frustrated because we don't see what God is doing at the moment. We encounter times when it feels like our plan gets postponed by an inconvenience, illness, loss, or layoff. But the older I get, the more I realize these apparent problems are usually precursors to God's providence. God uses problems to display the power of his providence.
In Scripture, God did this with believers and unbelievers alike: Consider how God used Job's loss or Nebuchadnezzar's insanity. Consider how God used Jonah's resistance or persuaded Pharaoh with the pressure of increasing plaques. Or, for the best example, consider Saul (a.k.a. Paul) and Ananias. God afflicted Saul with blindness, bringing two improbable men together—a hater of God and a humble believer in God—which led to an incredible advancement of the Gospel.
To see this in your life, you'll have to focus less on the problem of your pain and more on God's providence in the pain. You must force yourself to see the issues from God's providential purpose. This is not pretending that there is not a problem. There could be a very real problem that needs to be addressed. All you are doing is keeping in mind that God has a more purposeful purpose for your problem than the pain that we may see. A purpose and a path that may produce greater results than you expect.
So, if something is not going your way today, look at that situation again. Stop focusing on why it is not going your way, and force yourself to see it God's way. If you cannot see God's present plan, then stay in a place of present trust. Be patient and keep faith because suddenly, God will reveal it. Like God sent Ananias to pray for Saul, suddenly you will see God's plan, and the scales will fall from your eyes, revealing the power and advancement of the Gospel.

ASK THIS:
How can you shift your perspective during times of adversity to focus more on God's providential purpose rather than solely on the pain or inconvenience you're experiencing?
Reflecting on past experiences, can you identify a time when what initially seemed like a setback or problem turned out to be an opportunity for God to work in a surprising or unexpected way? How can you apply the lessons learned from that experience to your current challenges?
DO THIS: See beyond your problem to His providence.
PRAY THIS: Lord, help me to trust in Your providence, especially in times of adversity, knowing that You can turn my weaknesses and trials into opportunities for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom. Grant me the faith to see beyond my immediate circumstances and to embrace Your plan with patience and trust. Amen.
PLAY THIS: There Will Be A Day.

I spent 45 minutes looking for my car at Costco parking lot. I kept on praying out loud “Jesus, this is a good time for you to leave the 99 and come help this ONE who is very lost.” Meanwhile, my pride didn’t let me admit I was lost and I told the security guy I was just praying in the parking lot and blessing cars. He then asked me to bless his. I said “sure,” but I was a bit irritated inside. When we got to his car, guess what I saw next to it. MY CAR!!! Yes. God always gets His way by blessing many people at the same time. #Repost @frgoyo #faith #trust #Jesus #christ #witness #testimony #catholic #Christianity #godsplan #godsprovidence #carpark #lost https://www.instagram.com/p/BovWMbAADwh/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rxp1hmyjtccj

It was in surrendering my wants and ambitions to God, that I found true love and companionship. We say trust God and seek Him first, but often we trust in our efforts, and put our agenda first. In a season of abandonment to God’s plan and provision however, I met the love of my life, and very few days have passed since where I have not been overwhelmed with gratefulness, and brought to tears. I cry however not because I’m overwhelmed by despair, but filled with hope in view of a future marked by laboring on behalf of the Kingdom, with my wonderful, godly wife by my side. I had many future plans after graduating the restoration program at Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge, but I assure you being in a committed relationship wasn’t one of them. I thank God for the grace to not be so rigid and hold to what I plan loosely in order to make room for his provision. I thank God that in seeking more of Him, He also graciously provides that which is needed to accomplish the task that He has set before us. I thank God that He saw fit to bless me with such a beautiful friend such as my Carolina, who’s priority is Jesus and His purposes. Now come what may, we will sojourn this world together, with faces radiant by looking to God, and making His glory our chief concern. ♥️ #loveofmylife #futurewife #jesus #godsglory #godspurpose #godswill #godsprovidence https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs51GFSF6KY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1njp5y34dgmzn

Copied, borrowed and shared from #solidjoys by #desiringgod I don't know any more inspiring missionary promise than this word from Jesus. Not: This gospel should be preached. Not: This gospel might be preached. But: This gospel will be preached. This is not a great commission, nor a great commandment. It is a great certainty, a great confidence. Who can dare talk like that? How does he know it will? How can he be sure the church will not fail in its missionary task? Answer: The grace of missionary service is as irresistible as the grace of regeneration. Christ can promise universal proclamation because he is sovereign. He knows the future success of missions because he makes the future. All the nations will hear! A “nation” is not a modern “country.” When the Old Testament spoke of nations, it referred to groups like Jebusites and Perizites and Hivites and Amorites and Moabites and Canaanites and Philistines. “Nations” are ethnic groups with their own peculiar culture. Psalm 117:1, “Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples!” As the sovereign Son of God and Lord of the church, Jesus simply took up this divine purpose and stated it as an absolute certainty: “This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations” (Matthew 24:14). The cause of world missions is absolutely assured of success. It cannot fail. Is it not reasonable, then, that we pray with great faith, that we invest with great confidence, and that we go with a sense of sure triumph? Patrick Henry's powerful words spoken March 23, 1775 at St. John's Henrico Parish Church in Richmond. "...different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do, opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely, and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfil the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country." http://www.history.org/almanack/life/politics/giveme.cfm #july4th #4thofjuly #fourthofjuly  #independenceday #independence #America  #GodblessAmerica #Godsprovidence #Godalmighty  #thankGod #johnadams #forefathers  #declarationofindependence #happy4th #happy4thofjuly  #4thofjuly2017 #1776 #2017

Sure guard your heart, but don't lock it away. Through hurt and heartbreak God provides opportunities for intimacy with His Son. At the first sign of adversity our focus tends to turn inward, and others through their pity often feed our despair. God refuses to accommodate our self pity, but rather shows us that through our suffering His purposes are still accomplished. ♥️
