Realized how often the Narrator anthropomorphizes things in the Ultra Deluxe in order to encourage or bait Stanley. Which is so much different than how he was in the past endings, specifically the apartment ending. The way he now refers to all the different quotable and memorable objects in the game as Stanley’s friends.
There’s just something about the way the Narrator does at least deeply try to relate to Stanley’s need as a human, understanding more that we are sociable creatures. Giving us the bucket as something to cherish and playing along with the notion (despite getting very obviously upset when Stanley gets too attached to the bucket and then tries to break down that narrative). The attempt made to actually reach out to Stanley in a human-like way.
I don’t know where I’m going with this but the attempt at connection through the similar actions of a person or something like that. Acknowledgement of human needs, even if it's more or less the bare minimum effort.

there's something about jimmy and martyn this season
four times over jimmy has walked the well-worn path into the realm of death all alone, his feet sinking in the inky, star-speckled puddles of the void and his hand shaking on the icy doorknob of After. and the familiarity— and oh, is it so familiar— never manages to suffocate the dread each and every time. the knowledge that this door, these wings, those eyes are all horrifyingly inevitable, following him, miraculously, across worlds.
until now. he steps in the pond of the void and there's a warm hand in his, so warm jimmy knows it to be unwelcome in this place. no one has ever been here with him before, and never in his endless lives and deaths has he ever been left staring wide-eyed at theback of someone's head, the back of martyn's head.
and martyn leads the way. there are no words— there never have been in this place— but his hand is firm and real in jimmy's. he walks confidently, the soles of his shoes marring the ground he walks across with ripples that never stop. and this time, martyn reaches out, and swings that haunting door wide open, ceasing its endless whispers all at once.
when martyn turns around, his eyes lock with jimmy's, and he doesn't speak— no one can, here, jimmy is sure of it— but he might as well, really. his eyes are tired, but they are certain. martyn says nothing, but jimmy hears him. of course he does.
follow me this time, would you?

“why do i miss gem and the scotts suddenly theyre barely even real”
LITERALLY!! like. that team was held together with scott tape and the sheer force of gem’s personality. i don’t think scott and impulse ever actually even talked the entire time. it only worked because for the first time scott was faced with someone who was bossier than he was. they were awesome i should rewatch secret life
they were actually so fucking funny. All three of them promising to remain loyal and stick together until the very end (bc together they can win this!!) only for gem to hunt scott for sport an episode later was literally so based… their dynamic will always be funnier in my head i think but god it was awesome

Seth MacFarlane is not only violently, virulently anti woman, he's evangelical with his hatred. He's a terrorist organizer that's ruined large swathes of two generations of young men.
hes a guy who made a cartoon and then another cartoon and then a movie about a teddy bear who smokes weed

"born from blood, born for blood, born of blood
my life started from the end of your hands,
yet now, i understand;
your cursed hands held me from birth
beheld me from birth, marked me from birth
i was to be your pawn, and your hand moving my chess piece so cruelly"
DMC lore goes WAY TOO HARD and i do not have the brain capacity to ever explain it ever in a cohesive way but just know im FUCKING INSANE ABOUT VERGIL KIOJDFNPOGJIND

didnt want to attach this to my response to the anon bc it revolves around entirely different matters but some of u may think the fobposting is a recent thing but like. i was out here fighting in the mania trenches in 2018. i was there fighting in the folie trenches in 2009. i got into several physical arguments ABOUT folie in real life throughout my lifetime. i was arguing on forums in like 2008 i know my foblore. i know TOO much foblore in fact.

being a supernatural fan is whatever the opposite of 'tumblr ruining reading comprehension' is, but it's just as horrible. not only are the curtains blue, but several different writers specified the different shades that these curtains are. the curtains are simultaneously turquoise and ultramarine. you might be tempted to go OH!!! MAYBE IT'S A METAPHOR FOR DIFFERING PERCEPTIONS OF THE SAME THING!!! but no, this isn't on purpose. the curtains just accidentally stumbled into a vague idea that MIGHT be deep. but it's really not. or it might be. only the curtains know. you're left either watching it in horror or in intrigue as everything accidentally connects like the world's most disastrously entertaining wine glass stack.

the only really necessary bit of context for this au illustration is that killing your shitty father figure and then having sex in his bed is cheaper than therapy ♡
