I literally dont know how to continue explaining to people that part of the reason Goku decided to stay dead was because Gohan hated fighting.
He didnt know this until cell. He literally had no idea. Gohan NEVER gave any indication whatsoever. Couple that with the fact Bulma pointed out most of people threatening the Earth during that point in time were all people wanting Goku. The saiyans. Frieza. The androids. Doctor Gero. Cell.
All because of Goku. Its not his fault but his very existence consistently put the Earth in danger. He truly believed Earth would be safer without him and therefore, gohan wouldnt be consistently placed into battle.
Because Goku didnt know gohan hated fighting. But once he knew came the very interwoven nature of these threats he brought making his own son fight because gohan felt he HAD to. Not because he wanted to. For goku, protecting the earth always aligned with his own love for fighting. But gohan fought out of necessity, out of the very idea that they couldnt afford to do it without him. He has this power he didnt ask for so he must use it right? Because it would be selfish if he didnt.
But goku... goku thought gohan was like him. Gohan WANTED to return to help fight vegeta. He WANTED to go to namek. He WANTED to stay and fight after piccolo almost died to frieza. Goku didnt see gohan train that first year. Didnt witness what it took to make gohan a fighter. All he saw was his son who now was strong and wanted to join the fight like his dad. And he knows gohan is more powerful than them, knows he can stop cell, FELT IT. Gohan has to defeat cell because no one else can. So he thinks if gohan gets angry enough fighting cell, itll be the answer. Because thats how its always been for goku. And in thirty seconds piccolo makes him realize he's wrong. He doesnt argue back, he listens and concedes and realizes that piccolo is right. And suddenly goku wants to abandon his plan and stop the fight. He made a mistake. He intends to get gohan out. And in the end, he still ended up being right, but it doesnt change what goku now knows. Gohan isnt like him and he doesnt enjoy fighting.
Goku would have NEVER made gohan fight if he thought he didnt want to. You know this whenever adult gohan gets involved in a fight and goku apologizes that he had to. Or when someone suggests gohan for a battle and goku is like nah he's "out of practice," even when they have time FOR PRACTICE. He never wants to force gohan into a situation like cell again. Because cell was a mistake and goku has learned from it. So he never asks Gohan to fight anymore. If Gohan wants in then of course he's in. But he wants his son to be able to choose that. He wants gohan to be HAPPY and if thats not fighting then thats perfectly alright with goku.
Tumblr media
So it wasnt just about keeping the earth safe. Or his friends. It was knowing that in the safety of gokus absence, gohan wouldnt have to fight either. There would be less threats, less chances of his son being forced into battle. And sure he also trusted that gohan and the others could keep the earth safe if they had to, but he was banking on the threat level significantly decreasing instead.
And decrease it did. They had seven whole years of peace. Not a single threat. Meanwhile from the moment Raditz shows up to gokus death to cell, it all takes place within the span of FIVE YEARS. The longest they went without a threat was the three year gap spent training for the androids. And they spent every waking moment knowing they were coming.
And then if you look at trunks future... majority of the human population being wiped out by the androids. Majority of gokus friends. His son. All dead. Because of him. Because he defeated the red ribbon army when he was a child. And that very easily could have been their future as well. So Goku does his job in preventing that. He saves all of them. And if hes the only one who ends up dead, well... it doesnt matter. Because they aren't. And he intends to keep it that way. So he stays in otherworld, to keep them safe and to give his son a future that he can choose. If Gohan has to fight, then he can. But at least his father wouldnt be the one bringing the threats to his door.

I don't know if I've stated it before, but I don't see Cooler as a "Mutant" like Freeza and King Cold. I know it was only confirmed in XenoVerse 2, but for me, I don't accept it as canon. I think it would be far more interesting if Cooler wasn't born with his father's unnatural strength, as it would give more credence as to why he was set aside as Cold's heir in favor of Freeza. Further fueling the deadly sibling rivalry and the plethora of daddy issues and pushing him to obtain his ascended form out of hard work and spite.

Pick a main character & I'll give you 13 facts about your secret admirer [part 1]
Images found on Pinterest. Deck used : golden thread tarot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Group 1
7 of swords, 5 of pentacles, King of cups, Empress
You have no idea who this person is because they've lied to you about their real intentions. You'd never suspect this person to admire you in secret.
This is someone that tends to get lonely and remains guarded around people. You never know what they think, who they truly are, what they want from you. They may be refered to as a "cold", "heartless" person.
You are not in contact with this person at the moment.
Despite how people may perceive them and their harsh exterior, this person is incredibly loving and caring. They are the safest person to be with and they wouldn't hurt a single soul.
They are either a heavily Scorpio or Taurus influenced person.
This person misses you dearly and wishes they could be closer to you.
Most people get scared of them because of their depth and intensity. They get wrongly accused of being a bad person or someone dangerous. Most people never see beyond the surface and keep them at arms length.
Despite their very bold demeanor and independent attitude, this person is very feminine in nature. They could give everything they have to the people they trust.
Once you gain this person respect, it is very hard to lose it. You must be the biggest piece of sh*t if you ever cross this person. Because the last thing they want to do is to hate on people and be in conflict with them.
This is someone that feels extremely lonely because most people don't understand them.
They are incredibly smart and witty but most people don't get to see that from them. People tend to underestimate them.
They are very protective of their loved ones and their private space. If you touch anyone they love, you're a d**d man.
They give the best hugs and can be very reassuring, comforting, nurturing. They also cook the best meals and enjoy baking. They are also very good in bed so whoever manages to win their heart will be very lucky.
Tumblr media
Group 2
ace of wands, 5 of cups, king of wands, 10 of swords
They cannot stay in place. They always feel the need to wreack havoc, stir some trouble, put some spice in the pot. That includes bed time activities.
They got their heart broken more times than they can count. They tend to be deceived in love because they grant their trust too easily.
They have a bad temper and they can be pretty stubborn. But they're also extremely brave and communicative, they are not afraid to state their mind and say what needs to be said.
They have a very combattive, competitive spirit. They can't stand losing to someone else, whether it's in games or in life, especially when it comes to relationships.
They are jealous af. But also kinky af. It is hard to get them to stop once you've set them ablaze.
This person has gone through hell. It's a miracle they're still breathing. They're a force to be reckoned with and whoever messes with them is going to face retribution one way or another.
They are sooooo petty. They could wait for years to see a project come to fruition, even if it is painful and difficult, only to be able to prove everybody wrong.
They've struggled with depression and may still be going through it at the moment.
They are amazingly creative. This person is a wonder and they make people question their sanity sometimes. They can create anything out of nothing and often times get incredible ideas that make people go "where the heck do you get all these thoughts?!".
Speaking of thoughts, they got many of them. Too many for their own good. And most of them are R-rated. But they would never admit it.
This person enjoys sports of all kinds. But I'm specifically picking up on running and working out at the gym.
They're a huge flirt. They're "too sexy for their shirt". And one of the reasons why they often get in trouble is because they can't keep their eyes and their tongue in check. Basically, they have an "act first think later" type of mentality that isn't always beneficial to them.
They may have a lot of mood swings and have a hard time dealing with their emotions. One day they're super cheerful and friendly, the other they're gloomy and sarcastic. Or maybe they're just a Gemini. You never know which side of the coin you'll get.
Tumblr media
Group 3
4 of cups, High Priestess, ace of pentacles, 10 of pentacles
This person is incredibly shy and reserved, so much so that not even their own family knows them. They are so secretive. Even psychics wouldn't be able to see their core.
Speaking of psychics, this person could be one. If not, they have the ability to but may not be aware of it.
They enjoy their own company and are not afraid to be alone. They are not used to mingling with people. The reason why they admire you remains a mystery to them.
They are very generous with their time, money, advice, care. They never look down on people and never take for granted what they have.
They are highly educated and/or come from a wealthy family. If not, they are well established and have built a life they can be proud of through constant effort, hard work and patience.
They are incredibly resilient and loyal to a fault. They're also very stubborn, opinionated and unwavering. Once they have an idea in mind it is hard to stop them.
This person has a very magnetic presence and they can be quite intimidating. But the curiousity always gets the best out of people. No matter who you are, you just simply can't ignore this person's aura.
Ironically, people would never expect this person to be as wealthy and well established as they are, as strong and determined as they are. This person is often times underestimated or overlooked. It's like they just can't accept that someone like them can be succesful. That may be because of their roots.
This person puts tradition and family above anything else. They give a lot of importance to rules and moral codes. They value dedication, authenticity and honesty.
They could be religious. Or at least they are spiritual. They make offerings and kindly give out anything they may own if that can be of help to others.
This person enjoys community work, sharing of knowledge and experience. They like to garden, cook and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
They fear rejection but they'd rather d** than admit it.
They have strong boundaries and won't settle for less than what they deem worthy of their attention. They're not afraid to step up and stand their ground, even if it may draw attention or make them look arrogant.

Hi! I absolutely love your brilliant analyses of Vegeta. He has stubbornly remained my favorite character of all time, and it’s wonderful to see his character arc treated with the depth and attention it deserves. ❤️
I would love to hear your thoughts, analysis, headcanons, and anything else you believe regarding the relationship between Vegeta and Freeza. The pieces of their dynamic we get in the manga and anime have always fascinated me.
More specific questions: How much of Vegeta’s personality and worldview at the start of Z do you think was influenced by Freeza, and how much was due to his Saiyan nature/the short few years he spent on Vegetasei? What methods do you think Freeza used to mold Vegeta into his own image?
Thank you so much for your time and for the insightful commentary you bring to this fandom.
Oooh, what fun questions!!
So then… what indeed is the relationship between Freeza and Vegeta? Depending on when you ask, there’s different answers to that question. Let’s start at the start.
For essentially Vegeta’s whole life, Freeza is his purpose for persevering. He shoulders the will and rage of the Saiyans—he is their hope for vengeance. Freeza destroyed everything that meant anything to him—his culture, his home, his people, and his status. Freeza occupies a strange space in Vegeta’s mental hierarchy; simultaneously far, far above him as a monolithic, implacable expression of power, and eventually fated to be crushed beneath his royal heel in retribution. There is nobody Vegeta despises more. There is nobody Vegeta fears more.
To Freeza, Vegeta is a pet. An amusing, deluded little dog with an eminently yankable chain. He is not, in any sense of the word, a threat: Freeza in his base form is literal orders of magnitude stronger than Vegeta, prior to Z, he sees him and the Saiyans as a whole as the frogs in a well that they are. Yes, Vegeta is strong—but he’s not even top 5 strong at the point in the story we meet him. Barely top 10, if you want to include King Cold and Cooler’s group. An asset, certainly, but he has stronger men, and Freeza was willing to sacrifice a whole planet’s worth of similar assets on a cost-benefit analysis. Together, the Saiyans would probably destroy most of the rest of of his forces before he could put them all down: then Freeza has to rebuild from scratch, and that’s a hassle. Better to cut the rot away before it compromises the limb, if you see what I mean. (As an aside: Nobody actually knows what the Super Saiyan is exactly before Goku roids out into one on Namek, so Freeza’s trepidation surrounding it reads—to me—less as fear of a warrior stronger than himself appearing to topple him, and more as a dictator knowing a rebel’s rallying point when he sees one. Zarbon claims to Vegeta that ‘what Master Freeza feared was a union of all the Saiyans. Alone, you are nothing.’)
No, Freeza keeps Vegeta around for the simple fact that futile struggle is his favorite entertainment, and Vegeta is a paragon of futile struggle before most everything else. He knows all about Vegeta’s vendetta, and how he’s pinned his hopes on the legend of the Super Saiyan manifesting in him, and that eventually he’ll try to bite back. So it’s fun to jerk him around and watch him swallow indignity after indignity for the sake of a long game that Freeza knows he’s not going to lose. Oh, you conquered Planet Shikk in three days? Zarbon could have done it in one; so much for the vaunted Saiyan strength. He’s a trophy, unique in the fact that he serves Freeza loyally while not disguising his hatred towards him at all.
Namek is a fabulous arc for a lot of reasons, a prominent one being the whole Vegeta-and-Freeza thing coming to a head; a perfect encapsulation of the dynamic. Everything that Vegeta does to impede Freeza, up to and ultimately including his theft of the Dragon Balls, is treated by Freeza as a minor inconvenience. A small bump on the road to immortality. Vegeta kills Cui? That’s cute, let’s see what he does next. Kills Dodoria and Zarbon? Irritating, but not unsalvageable. Steals the Dragon Balls? Now he’s earned a beating, but the Ginyu Force retrieved them quickly, and no way Vegeta leaves that encounter alive.
And like. He isn’t wrong to look at it that way, is he. Goku has to bail Vegeta out of dying by Recoome’s hand. He gets a lucky break and a rana ex machina against Ginyu himself. Once he actually starts fighting Freeza, the cover comes off the whole thing immediately. Because it’s not a fight to Freeza. He’s not eliminating a threat, he doesn’t view Vegeta as a combatant. He’s pissed and he’s killing two birds with one stone—punishing those responsible for screwing him out of his wish, and blowing off steam by toying with them and watching their spirits break before their slow, inevitable, agonizing deaths.
And boy does it work an absolute treat on Vegeta. For three main reasons, I think. First is that Vegeta grew up under Freeza’s rule. Fearing him is in his bones now, and that’s a tough instinct to shake. Second, Vegeta is just starting to get a handle on how ki-sensing works. He’s not used to being able to feel other peoples’ powers. He is a bonfire among a sea of candles, and he’s suddenly face to face with the sun. He can’t run from it, he can’t deny it, he can’t shut his eyes to it. Imagine how that feels to someone who previously spent his whole life in metaphorical darkness. This only reinforces his fear of Freeza. Third, and perhaps most importantly: the two prior reasons run directly counter to the avenger narrative Vegeta has constructed for himself and lived his whole life by. He can’t get The Way Things Are Supposed To Go and reality to reconcile. As in the post before: he refuses to bend—so he breaks.
In a lot of major Dragon Ball fights (maybe all of them, I’m not gonna go back and check), there’s someone playing the role of the defeatist. The doomsayer. The ‘it’s all over, he’s too strong’ guy. For the group confrontation against Freeza, this is Vegeta. What a role to cast him in. What other role could he be cast in, with the history and mindset he has? He didn’t plan on tangling with Freeza until he was immortal, when his victory was at best overwhelming and at worst a matter of attrition. Past their initial clash—a brief grapple that Vegeta notably leaves winded while Freeza seems more annoyed than anything else—Vegeta doesn’t go head-to-head with Freeza. He’s hesitant to attack him. Scared. Freeza knows that. Freeza largely ignores Vegeta throughout the fight because he isn’t doing anything, which he taunts him about. Oh, I’m gonna kill this little half-Saiyan. Aren’t you gonna come save him, Vegeta? No? I thought not.
As tactically unsound as bringing Piccolo to Namek was—seriously what the hell, you almost defeated the whole purpose of going there in the first place—it makes for an interesting way to twist the knife in Vegeta. Here he is, embodying everything that Vegeta was supposed to—the champion of a slaughtered people, (almost) the last of his kind, fearlessly throwing down with Freeza. After a transformation, and meeting with decent success, furthermore. Piccolo, who has only the most tenuous of connection to his race and his homeworld (same as Goku, interestingly enough). And what is Vegeta doing?
He gets desperate. And when Vegeta gets desperate, he does stupid, crazy, desperate things. Like letting Krillin blow a hole in his chest because if he gets one more brink-of-death power-up then surely he’ll be stronger than Freeza. He just has to be. But he’s not, and all the fight goes out of him. And when the fight goes out of him, Freeza’s interest in him disappears too. Because that was the whole appeal of Vegeta to him—that expectation that he’d fight to the bitter end.
That’s where they stand at the end of Namek, up until Super. Vegeta is a pitiful disappointment to Freeza, Freeza is a memory of failure to Vegeta subsumed into his fixation on defeating Goku. And so, time passes. Vegeta goes through A Lot of development. Freeza seethes in hell, dreaming of revenge.
While Resurrection F is imo a rather poor arc, it’s got some stuff for us in this vein. Freeza comes to Earth for the grudge match against Goku—he barely acknowledges Vegeta at all, except to express surprise that he’s still around, and hanging around with Goku no less. He’s uninterested in him entirely—when Vegeta tries to cut into the fight, all Freeza has for him is a quip about pets and masters and an order to butt out.
And Vegeta just… takes that? Why does he just take that? This has baffled me for the longest time. The closest approximation of a Good Writing explanation I can get is Vegeta deciding that he wants Freeza reduced to about the power level that he was on Namek before he pulls that mean role reversal on him. Hey, did you know I have transformations now? But Vegeta doesn’t get off on crushing ants (anymore) the way Freeza does, so he doesn’t even really seem to revel in kicking Freeza’s teeth in like he’d wanted to for so long. I guess to his mind it’s too little too late. The Saiyans have been avenged for a decade already. He’s had time to heal and grow and rearrange his priorities.
Up through the Super Broly movie, that’s where they’re at. Mutual enmity, mutual acknowledgment of the threat each poses to the other. Everything past that, I’ll save for the Moro/Granolah post (and for once I’m. yknow. current with the manga again.)
As to the other questions—the thing is, I don’t think Freeza tried to mould him into anything, because the whole point of keeping him was [gestures to the above] That. Let me instead pose a different question—how much of Vegeta’s personality and worldview at the start of Z do you think was influenced by Nappa? Nappa, who was old enough to remember life on Vegetasei before King Cold took over. Who would know exactly what was taken from them, and would harbor a deep resentment over it? Whose view of such things was likely colored by his more than probable involvement in the Saiyan-Tuffle war? Personally I think it’s more than anybody realizes.
Thanks for your ask <3 Hope this was satisfactory.

my mysticpunk ultrafantasy web serial THE KNIGHT VAGRANT, which i describe as Esoteric Monsoon Asia Disco Elysium Xianxia, hit the 150k word mark! im almost to 200k words which is around 1/5 of my target for this book, which is 1m. it's looking to be a hella easy time though since i'm halfway through just the first book!
writing is pretty easy because this shit is not just a bit of trauma-dumping and adhd-induced eastern esoteric rambling, but it also has a goku-like white-haired southeast asian trans enby and a mean goth elf wizard for protagonists. the dynamic is so fucking fun to write.
i like the moniker i've built for it too. mysticpunk because mysticism is how the world (which has ended) truly advances now, similar to 8th to 13th century tibet, india, indonesia, malaysia, thailand, china, where esoteric buddhist tech was the main way of winning wars.
ultrafantasy because the entire thing pulls on no existing fantasy canon. it's too high for "high fantasy". so i had to make something higher than even high fantasy. thus, ultrafantasy! my original moniker was light fantasy but that had a different connotation and was juxtaposed against dark fantasy.
anyway if you like hong kong martial arts films, wuxia/xianxia, unique monsoon asian cultures, or magic systems based on irl eastern esotery, check it out! there's hella content for you:

What do you think of Gohan and Piccolo?
There is a fandom war over whether Goku or Piccolo is Gohan's "real dad" and the honest truth is that Gohan's upbringing is very much "It takes a village to raise a child". He is the product of Chi-Chi, Goku, Piccolo, and to a lesser extent Krillin's influences.
But. Also. Though Piccolo and Gohan develop a strong emotional bond, it warrants noting that Piccolo's initial contribution to Gohan's upbringing is pretty monstrous, as befits the reincarnation of pure evil.
There's a tendency to be more critical of Goku's choices than Piccolo's because Piccolo was a bad guy and Goku was a good one. Generally speaking, we tend to give characters a pass for behavior that's... within their narrative wheelhouse, if that makes sense.
When good guys are being good and bad guys are being bad, we consider that business as usual. That's just what they're supposed to do. If Vegeta kills a bunch of people, nobody cares because Vegeta is a bad guy. Bad guys kill people. This is not a worthwhile observation on his character.
So there's a tendency in fandom to hyperfixate only on the good parts of bad guys, and on the bad parts of good guys - and to ignore the rest. Those are the only parts that we consider noteworthy, because they're the areas where the character is going against their mold. It's important, I think, not to do this with Piccolo when talking about Gohan, because while we all love seeing Gohan's innocence reach Piccolo and redeem him, the darker aspect of his earlier choices inform his later growth and development.
We need to learn how to consider the villainous part of villains and the heroic side of heroes in equal measure to the villain's redeeming qualities and the hero's flaws.
By the time of the fight with Raditz, Piccolo is less evil than his previous iteration. According to Gohan, that's Goku's assessment of him. Implied to be Goku's assessment of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, as that's the only time the two have met since Piccolo's reincarnation, prior to Raditz's arrival.
Tumblr media
This is a fair assessment. I've talked about it before, but reincarnating as a flesh-and-blood Namekian with a complete range of morality rather than simply being the embodiment of one guy's evilness had an effect on Piccolo.
Piccolo opposes the Saiyans because he wants to rule the world and doesn't want them killing everyone he means to govern. But Daimao's plan for world domination was just to inflict a 40-year extermination on humanity. Piccolo's original incarnation was just evil, incapable of really thinking about his own ideas and why he wants them the way the newer form of Piccolo has.
Daimao would never have teamed up with Goku to save "his subjects" from extermination. He wanted to kill them all too. This capacity for growth and change was already in motion, already forcing him to reconsider what he actually wants from his own ambitions, from the moment he awoke in his new body.
But he was still a bastard. He'd been Evil Incarnate for 300 years; You don't get over that in an afternoon. He still had all of his memories,a ll of his knowledge; There was a lot of wickedness baked into his personality from the get-go.
Tumblr media
Since he was no longer Mazoku, he had a brand new range of moral depth to engage with. But he didn't have the luxury of getting to start over as a brand new person. No clean slate for Piccolo. Now that he was capable of change, he still needed a reason and a will to experience it. Circumstances that would force him to re-evaluate his relationship with himself, others, and the world.
The threat of the Saiyans provided that impetus, by giving Piccolo a plan. A nasty plan. A plan based on strict utilitarian assessment of Gohan's involvement in the preceding fight, with no regard to the fact that this is a four-year-old child.
Tumblr media
Piccolo, in this moment, sees Gohan as a resource to be used. He has zero empathy for him or for anyone else.
Of course he doesn't. He was the embodiment of selfishness and cruelty for 300 years. He has a capacity for empathy now but has never been put in a position where it might begin to develop. As he says to Gohan in his dying moments:
Tumblr media
"You were the only one who ever really talked to me."
Like. Let's not sympathize too much here; this is more on him than anyone else. He tried to reconquer the world and tried multiple times to kill Goku, the only person he has any sort of relationship with. Even the attack he used to kill Raditz was designed for killing Goku.
The reason nobody ever "really talked to [him]" before Gohan is because Piccolo's only interactions with other people were verbal and physical violence. This is what I was getting at earlier. The guy, at this point in time, is a villain existing in uneasy alliance with the heroes. Let's not forget that. In fact, even his relationship with Gohan is verbally and physically violent.
Tumblr media
That sweet scene up there where Gohan confronts Piccolo with the fact that he's not such a bad guy? This is how that scene ends.
Tumblr media
This is what we tend to give Piccolo a pass on because we expect this behavior from villains, but it needs to be said that Piccolo's approach to Gohan's training is cruel and abusive. The development of their bond has more to do with Gohan's purehearted innocence than with Piccolo's changing outlook.
That's not a slight against Piccolo. It's the setup. This cruelty is what makes it so meaningful when he does change. It's why this moment is so powerful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason this is such a moment that Toei can't stop trying to remake it is because it comes on the heels of all of that cruelty and dismissal. That he would even do this is as much a surprise to Piccolo as it is to everyone else. It violently contradicts and recontextualizes everything he and Gohan have been through for the last year.
Gohan's innocence won out and it changed Piccolo in ways he didn't even realize were happening. When Piccolo says that no one ever really talked to him before, this isn't an indictment against the world for mistreating him. Piccolo is not the Warriors of Hope from Danganronpa. It's validating Gohan for having the courage and empathy to reach him despite it all.
Gohan's training was an idea born of cruel arithmetic. Gohan himself gained some rudimentary martial knowledge but didn't get much else out of it - because Piccolo himself was unsuited to the emotional guidance that Gohan needed. When the Saiyans arrived, he was woefully unprepared for the task that Piccolo expected of him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What did you expect? It doesn't matter that you taught him how to throw a punch; That boy is five years old. Piccolo pays for this mistake with his life.
But what he does get out of it, what he and Gohan both get out of it, is the development of an emotional bond that will last the rest of their lives - with his dying moment, his sacrifice for Gohan, being what truly kicks off their relationship.
That sacrifice is the reason Gohan goes to Namek.
Tumblr media
Gohan, innocent and kind, doesn't resent Piccolo for the things he did. Quite the contrary, he respects Piccolo a lot. By his own admission, he has the same admiration for Piccolo that he does for Goku.
Tumblr media
Gohan and Piccolo's bond is now pretty tight, and it remains so through the Namek and Android arcs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Piccolo grows from his mistake, lets his ambitions for world domination slide away, and he and Gohan now have each other's backs in earnest. The respect and empathy Gohan needed is now there.
It's from that experience (and the wisdom of God now joined into him) that Piccolo's later able to call out Goku for his mistake in the Cell Games.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Piccolo sees the flaw in Goku's plan because he's been Goku. He's stood where Goku's standing, waiting with baited breath for a warrior's hunger to suddenly awaken inside Gohan and for him to fuck this guy up. He had to learn the hard way that that's not who Gohan is, and he brings that development to the table here. He's projected onto Gohan the way Goku now is, and it cost him his life.
Neither Goku nor Piccolo is entirely right here. But neither is entirely wrong either. Goku's plan does ultimately work, but only because of the effort Cell and 16 put into correcting Goku's bad assumptions and finding a trigger that will set Gohan off.
This, I think, is what gets lost in the "Real Dad Goku vs Real Dad Piccolo" debate. It's too binary. Gohan cares a great deal about both of them, they're both prominent influences on him, and they both had a formative effect on his childhood. If you asked him to pick one, he'd probably look at you like you're crazy. The correct answer is:
Tumblr media
That panel, that entire panel, is who Gohan's primary male role model is.
Though if you want to know whose kid Gohan really is more than anyone's, it's her:
Tumblr media
No matter how distasteful Vegeta might find it, Gohan is his mother's son. He's sensitive, kind, curious, and far more interested in academia than in martial arts; All the qualities Chi-Chi wanted to instill in him. But he nonetheless has a lot of admiration for Goku and Piccolo too, and he carries their influence with him all the same.
(Also, as an aside. Like. Krillin? Kindly fuck off. Gohan may not be as badly hurt as Goku but he was still beaten half to death by both Nappa and Vegeta over the course of this battle. He couldn't even stand up under his own power anymore before he became the Oozaru. Also, he's five and Chi-Chi hasn't seen him, her baby boy, in a year.
It is absolutely valid for her to be way more concerned for Gohan than for Goku.)
But I digress. Point is, Piccolo and Gohan got off to a rocky start and I think that Piccolo's behavior during that time shouldn't be ignored, but also he changed dramatically due to Gohan's influence. Piccolo shaped much of who Gohan was as a fighter in his early years, but Gohan did far more for Piccolo by making him part of a family despite himself.
Now he's in Gohan's wedding photo.
Tumblr media
And Chi-Chi isn't for reasons that can only be attributed to Toei's utter disdain for her character.
And he's teaching martial arts to Gohan's kid, with a much gentler hand than the one he once used on Gohan.

There's a real argument to be made that Gohan did more to shape who Piccolo became in the years following their training together than Piccolo did to shape Gohan. Sometimes the master learns as much or even more from the apprentice than the apprentice does from the master.

The anti-Komahina copypasta of all time pt 3/4: Electric Avenue
Far, far back in the depths of koraishita-chan (specifically, seven months earlier), the proud Goku hater and beloved second child of God, the talented mrpoopoofart, expelled his seminal production "Nagito Komaeda influences Hajime Hinata into homosexual activities accompanied with his feminine aura he spreads through his toxic submissive homoerotic flirting. (A thread)"
And then, just when we needed him most (or on some random day in May the following year), HE RETURNED...
[Again, square brackets after this point are my only additions, mostly for source links except where I get sidetracked into a rant about substandard Christian apologism.]
Goku Nr.1hater @mrpoopoofart
Introducton: To sum it up, you may have already perused my thread focusing on the topic as the title says. However, there are additional aspects to consider regarding Nagito's negative demeanor towards the MC, particualary in relation to his homosexuality. [src]
Tumblr media
It is crucial to emphasize the objective of my analysis. My aim is for fans of Nagito Komaeda and Komahina to understand the reasons why Nagito shouldn't be romantically involved with anyone despite his sexuality or admired by any of YOU. [src]
Tumblr media
Kodaka Sensei has clearly portrayed Nagito Komaeda as a villain of the story, who is meant to be disliked. By endorsing a romantic relationship between Hajime and Nagito, you are essentially demonstrating a bias against heterosexuality (tradition+ culture)+ [src]
Tumblr media
+ and edorsing the concept of Diabolo (forbidden amour) [src]
1. Timidity and Nervosity In the libary Nagito appears to exhibit more nervousness than confidence when being alone with his "friend". His behavior raises the question of wether his cruel demeanor stems from guilt or if it's a deliberate tactic to divert attention. [src]
Tumblr media
Even Hajime who's clearly displeased, remains silent. Astute players recognize how Nagito is someone he perceives as a bothersome freak who can't do anything but make his blood boil. [src]
Tumblr media
2. Nagito's moronic comments Recalling this particular scene, I feel compelled to highlight the intense annoyance and anger it evoked within me. (You will find further context in the next paragraph) [src]
Tumblr media
It was evident that Hajime was experiencing an anxiety attack as Monokuma persistently taunted him about the sticker he unwittingly purchased for 1 million $, under the false pretense of avoiding watching the movie. [src]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And guess what this good friend Nagito does? Instead of confronting Monokuma for tricking Hajime, audaciously verfies wether he did indeed buy the sticker for 1 mil.$, thereby purposely reminding him of the embarassing situation Hajime is found in. [src]
3. Public humiliation Upon reflection, it seems that Nagito subjected Hajime to multiple instances of humiliation that I had overlooked. [src]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Hajime appreciates the beauty of women's bodies while expressing the manly nature of his sexuality, this cattle felt compelled to interject with an unwarranted remark regarding Hajime's natural inclination of heteroerotism to admire the attractivness of a women's body. [src]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Homoerotic organic sensation This certain official art shows us the antagonist and protagonist sitting next to each other side by side on a bench. Yes, it may appear just like an usual official art but if you take a deeper look at the situation+ [src]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
+ and put yourselves in their shoes, you'll perceive it from a different perspective. [src]
Hajime falls victim to the influence of homoerotica, while Nagito lures him into a trap filled with irresistible (drugwise) trap of unholy desires. From the outside Hajime looks opportune but inside he's anxious and would escape he he could (theory) + [src]
On the other side Nagito appears anxious from the outside but might sense a proptitious pleassure through a so called "demonic" (powerful) orgasm, which causes the evil individual to feel intense sensation building in their gut+ [src]
My analytical and psychological simplification: The intense sensation in the gut by a effeminate homosexual individual is embossed on excitement and masochistic pain following with the release of endorophins, contraction of organs, anal contraction. [src]
Tumblr media
5. Mastrubative release of urine This certain dialoge takes place during chapter 4, when everyone was locked in the final dead room. Analysis: As Hajime approaches Nagito, wanting to hang out with him Nagito begins to act up and claims he's about let his it leak. [src]
Tumblr media
Since Hajime and him were Stuck alone during his freetime the scoundrel felt a warm sensation rise up from his intestine down to his bladder causing him to release all the fluid. Theory: The organic compounds were driven by unintended stimulation by an orgasm. [src]
Nagito's impure crimes Watch this video below by Voddie Bauchham which explains the situation a lot better what I'm trying to imply here on releation to Nagito Komaeda's acts. I combined the video and the scenes together so you can have an overview. (Pt.1) [src]
[Video: original link. 1:47 so I'll summarise. First, the URL geloofstoerusting.nl is shown. A man credited as Christian apologist Dr Voddie T. Baucham talks in English about the usual few bible verses commonly interpreted to be a pronouncement against homosexuality. The pastor's talk is generic and not about Nagito Komaeda, but our nonvaginal Virgil has edited in several annotated images of Nagito to drive his stiff, lengthy point home. The pastor is cut off mid-sentence at the end. [(Contextual note: Nagito Komaeda, a Japanese man, is most likely a Shinto follower, judging by a remark he makes about praying at statues. He consistently describes his beliefs about hope as being cycle-based like his luck, rather than messianic. He is unlikely to be a Christian. But he is created in the image of god and deserves praise and kiss (canon).)]
Pt.2 [src]
[Video: original link. The same speaker continues his claims that homosexuality cannot be non-harmful because it harms the homosexual and harms the gospel. More annotated images of Nagito Komaeda liven up his piss-poor theology. It's clear from the many intervening steps he skips and the gigantic prior assumptions that he's speaking to fellow Christian apologists and not to evangelise nonbelievers. Again, his points are generic homophobia and not specific to Danganronpa or other media.]
Nagito's OVA Hajime shows up as Izuru Kamukura in Nagito's dream Theory:The reason why Izuru/Hajime shows up in Nagito's bizzare dream world might be due 1.He can aoutlive his homosexual desires without having to face judgement for his immoral deeds that go against Christianity + [src]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
+during a coma (coma affected by work of Diablo) 2: He obviously makes up his own Hajime in his dream world and treats him like a puppet taking away his freedom and autonomy. (Rights deprivation). [src]
Tumblr media
+This scene alone alludes how he is using Hajime (puppet) and also obeys him in order to remind himself of his way of thinking such as abusing hope as an achievement for his malicious actions. [src]

[Hope stretch, I mean home stretch, everyone! Onward to part 4/4.]

First DBZ Fanfic
Under the cut. WARNING: it is very adult!
Bulma was always mildly amused when her childhood friend got a little too close to her ever irritable husband. “Can you back up Kakarot?! You are on top of me all the time, you giant puppy!”, she heard him snap. Vegeta’s arm went out with a force that would have sent a human flying, but only pushed Goku away a few inches.
“Aw Vegeta, don’t be like that. I just like bein’ close to ya.”, Goku said in a pleading tone he exclusively saved for the other Saiyan. Vegeta growled and pushed him away farther. “That, I don’t understand. And your brats are the same! Tell me why do I not only have to suffer my own cub being up my shit, but yours as well?!”, he barked. Goku laughed at that and leaned his head against Vegeta’s shoulder. Vegeta bristled but made no movement to push him away again.
Although Goku was much larger physically and arguably stronger, he almost always deferred to the smaller Saiyan on most things. Bulma knew that Vegeta was a naturally commanding presence but she never realized until recently how comforting his quiet strength was for her. She wondered if it was the same for Goku and their respective children. Vegeta had told her one night as they lay together shortly after Goku’s second death that Saiyans paired up when they were young to fight together for life as battlemates (after much struggle to translate the term from Saiyago) , helping to raise each other’s cubs when needed, taking care of the others’ mate should they meet a premature end. He told her that Raditz had been chosen for Vegeta by his own father, the king, and after the fall of Vegeta-sei, they only had each other, plus an aging, war torn Nappa who tried to raise them the best way he knew how.
“After Raditz’ death, I was obsessed with the idea of vengeance. Raditz was many things to me.” Vegeta said slowly, pausing to look at Bulma. “It's okay,” she said, placing a cool hand on his arm, “tell me.”
“At first he was playmate, then brother and comrade. And then eventually, he was my lover.” Vegeta choked out, a single tear falling down the side of his face onto the sheets. “No not lover, he was my lifemate, like you, Bulma.” This didn’t shock Bulma, who else would the proud Saiyan prince have turned to in the loneliness of the night? Who else could know him from the inside out? “I couldn’t let my grief be seen, how could I, the prince of all Saiyans, have been so entangled with some third class. How could I show a moment of weakness in front of the likes of Zarbon or Dodoria? Or Frieza himself?”
Vegeta trembled and began to sob. Bulma pulled him to her and held him, her own eyes filling with tears. He had carried this for years, never letting anyone know the depth of his motivations or pain. “And to see Kakarot, and to fight him, something broke in me. He had taken everything away from me. And he did it all while judging me with my lifemate’s eyes. Grinning with his smile. I wanted to rip him apart. And now he’s dead and somehow I’ve lost Raditz twice over.” Bulma pulled him closer and let him cry until he finally relaxed in her arms. “I have to do right by his woman and cubs.” he said simply, “they are all I have left of either of them.”
Bulma was brought back to the present by the feel of Goku’s hand on her shoulder. She had been staring out the window for quite some time, during which Vegeta had gone outside and was laying in the grass while Goten and Trunks sparred near him.
“Bulma, what’s up? You okay?”, he asked softly. She turned around and nodded, taking Goku’s giant hand and holding in both of hers. “I’m glad Vegeta has you, really. People think the worst of him, and I understand who he used to be. Of all people, I get it. But you are the one that told me he never had the chance to be anything else. When we gave him the room to grow, he did. And I think he loves deeper and harder than any of us.”
Goku dropped his gaze to his feet. “I think people don’t get him. He can be a jerk, but they judge him like a human. When I’m with him, I feel…complete. Saiyan. I feel like he can fix anything. He makes me feel like I can do anything. And I think the kids feel the same. That’s why they turned to him, when I was dead. I mean, ‘Geta basically raised Goten. Probably why he’s such a little punk.”, he said, chuckling. Bulma hugged him, her tears staining his gi.
“I know how he acted during the tournament was…for lack of a better word, insane. I think he missed you so much, and he was feeling all these emotions and he just lost it. He went back to being bad because he didn’t feel anything when he was like that. You know Vegeta. He can be sensitive.” she murmured into his shoulder. “Is that what you call it?” he laughed.
Out in the yard, Vegeta watched the clouds lazily move through the sky, listening to the quiet sounds of his wife and Kakarot talking. Even with his spectacular hearing, he couldn’t make out what they were saying. He closed his eyes and napped, not surprised when he woke up and found Trunks and Goten nestled up to him, like kittens seeking the closest source of warmth. “Like Saiyan cubs.”, he thought, thinking of his own hazy memories of cuddling up with his parents and his newborn brother. An image of a screaming child flashed through his mind, no doubt one of the many victims of the purges he led. Blood coated her skin and her eye hung out of its socket, weeping a sickly smelling liquid. Vegeta remembered her, because he had bashed her skull in to shut her up.  He sucked in air and tightly squeezed his eyes shut. Vegeta’s heart began to pound and he quickly but as gently as he could muster pushed the two boys off of him, before crawling away dry-heaving. Hi ki spiked and dropped wildly, again and again. He heard Trunks’ and Goten’s cries for help as if he were underwater, and started shaking uncontrollably. Tears streamed down his face.
Goku got to him first, dropping to his knees next to Vegeta, who sat staring unseeing past him. “Vegeta, buddy, what’s goin’ on? Come on, talk to me.”, he said, placing a hand on his shoulder, and then his face when there was no response. “‘Geta, come on. Please. Bulma’s here. Can you let her wipe your face, buddy? You got puke on you.”
Bulma gently wiped his face with a cold cloth, hoping to draw him out of whatever hell he was currently in. She was the only one that had seen these attacks before, and knew Vegeta would be incredibly embarrassed and angry when he pulled out of it. She glanced over at Trunks, who was crying but trying to be brave, wiping his face again and again. Goten had his arm around Trunks’ shoulder, his lip trembling with the effort of not crying himself.
Vegeta still was unresponsive, and Goku pulled him close, holding him against his chest, gently rocking from side to side, like when Gohan was small. He gave a panicked look to Bulma before saying, “Bulma, what is this? What's wrong with him?” She ran a hand through her hair. “Sometimes he gets these…attacks. The closest thing I could call it would be PTSD, but he’s not human so I don’t know if that even applies. He’s gonna come out of it, we just have to wait.” she said, glancing again at the kids. “This is the first time those two have seen one. Well, that they’ll remember. And now you. He’s gonna be so pissed.”
“Vegeta gets pissed if a gnat farts! How long has he been having these? Are they usually like this?” Goku said, looking down at Vegeta and rubbing his cheek with his thumb. “Since you died. And no, usually he comes out of it by now. He’s only had a couple that were this bad. The first one, he fell out of the sky and went through the roof of the kitchen, which he then proceeded to destroy in a fury before collapsing into tears. Mom was actually pretty cool about it, since she wanted to remodel the kitchen anyway,” Bulma giggled uncomfortably, “The second one, he was giving Trunks and Goten a bath, and just kind of…busted into tears and slumped to the floor. I walked in and Trunks had crawled out of the tub and was shaking his shoulder, just crying and saying “Dada hurt!” over and over.”
Goku frowned and looked over his shoulder at the boys, “Goten, take Trunks back to the house, he’s gonna stay with us tonight.” Goten nodded and grabbed Trunks hand to fly off, but Trunks pulled out of his grasp and said, “Mom, is Daddy gonna be okay?” Bulma’s composure faltered for a moment. Trunks only called Vegeta daddy when he was scared. She tried her best to put on a confident smile and said,“Of course, baby. Daddy just isn’t feeling good right now. He just needs to rest.” Trunks sniffed and nodded. Bulma watched as he and Goten took off into the evening sky, their energy trails visible even to her.
“Help me bring him inside, Goku, we need to get him into bed if he’s taking this long to come out of this.” she said, standing up and brushing the grass off her knees. Goku stood up, holding Vegeta in his arms. “He looks so small, so hurt”, Bulma thought, turning to go inside before Goku could see her tears fall. He followed and within a few minutes of walking through the Capsule Corporation’s winding residential hallways, they made it to the couple’s bedroom. Goku laid Vegeta gently onto the bed, while Bulma went into the bathroom to wet a new towel for his head. He had never been in their bedroom and took the opportunity to look around.
A few pictures hung on the wall over the bed, only two including Vegeta. One was a family photo where it looked like Vegeta had been roughly pulled into the photo at the last minute. His scowl was dangerous. The other was a candid photo of Vegeta holding Trunks, kissing the infant’s pudgy little hand and smiling the most breathtaking smile Goku had ever seen. On Bulma’s nightstand were various pieces of scrap and God knows what else, most likely just another project of hers. The Dragon Radar stood proudly on its stand amid the mess. On Vegeta’s were a stack of non-fiction books with a notepad next to it. He picked up the notebook and opened it, raising his eyebrows with surprise at the detailed notes on various different subjects, with wry comments and rather cute doodles written in the margins. Biology, anatomy, fauna and flora. Goku had always known Vegeta was smart, but for some reason he never thought about him having any interests outside of fighting. He flipped the pages till he was close to the back and saw a small unflattering drawing of what could only be himself. The word “dumbass” was written under it with a strike- out through it and under that “Kakarot”.
“I asked if he could draw you from memory a few years after you died, and that's the best he could do.”, Bulma said, a small laugh escaping her. “He missed you, and so did I.”, she added, placing the towel on Vegeta’s forehead. Goku closed the notebook and set it back down onto the nightstand. Bulma kicked off her shoes and laid down next to Vegeta, stroking his face. “He’s so cold for some reason. That’s odd, you Saiyans run so hot.”
Goku chewed his lip, debating on whether he should go or stay. “Bulma, would it be weird if I laid down too? I can heat him up better.” She looked at him, thinking what Chi-Chi would say if she knew. If she would survive an encounter with Chi-Chi. “Well its not like we’re fucking, he’s literally just laying down!”. As if reading her mind, Goku rubbed his neck and said, “Um, oh this is awkward. Okay, you don’t have to worry about Chi-Chi. For one, she would understand. For two, we kind of have an agreement.” Bulma raised her eyebrows quizzically at that but motioned for him to lay down.
Goku pulled off his shirt, leaving him bare chested, and sat down on the bed to untie his shoes. As he did so he said, “I was gone for seven years. Chi-Chi was lonely and I couldn’t blame her for that. When I came back she had been seeing a nice guy who came to tutor Gohan occasionally. Just casually, just sex stuff. I didn’t mind if she kept at it with him as long as I was getting some too. So she doesn’t mind if I do the same.”
With that revelation, he laid down and pulled Vegeta and Bulma close to him, feeling a sense of contentment and holding his best friends in his arms. Bulma didn’t fight him, but snuggled against his warmth and closed her eyes. Eventually the trio slept.
Vegeta woke with a start, a headache pounding behind his eyes and sweat pouring down his back. He was looking at Bulma next to him on his right, so who was on his left? Vegeta slowly turned to his left to come face to face with Kakarot, open mouthed and snoring. He scowled and rolled his eyes but didn’t wake either or try to pull away. He thought back to earlier in the afternoon and remembered his “episode”, groaning internally. His face flushed with embarrassment. “I’m never going to live this down, I can’t believe they all saw that, what is wrong with me?!” , he thought. Bulma’s eyes fluttered open and he felt her kiss his shoulder and move to press her body up against his back. “Hey baby.” she whispered and ran her fingers through his hair.
“Hey”, he whispered back as he turned to face his wife. They looked at each other in the dark and silence for a while, until she felt Vegeta’s shoulders shake with sobs. She pulled his head down onto her chest and let him cry. Bulma saw Goku’s eyes open and the indecision play across his sleepy face. Should he go, or stay? Should he comfort him too or stay away? Finally he decided. His hand hovered for a moment over Vegeta and he looked at Bulma for approval, chewing his lip. She nodded, almost imperceptibly, and placed his hand flat on Vegeta’s upper back.
Vegeta stiffened. Was that Kakarot’s hand on his back? Before he could react further, Goku started running his hand lazily up and down Vegeta’s back, which felt cool in the night air and soothed his nerves a little. Bulma ran her fingers through his hair and kissed his forehead. He moaned softly. Bulma and Goku exchanged a look that could only be described as scheming and Goku moved closer, pressing his chest flat against Vegeta’s back. “Kakarot, what type of game are you playing?”, the Saiyan prince said low and quiet.
Goku froze and looked over at Bulma. She pulled Vegeta closer, tactically pressing her breasts up against his face. “What type of game do you want it to be, Vegeta? You’re in control, our prince.” she said, letting out a soft moan as she felt him kiss her chest. She felt the rumble of a growl deep in his chest at that. She pulled him up to kiss him and slipped her tongue into his mouth. Goku raised his eyebrows in surprise but made no effort to leave. As Vegeta and Bulma’s kisses became more and more passionate and their quiet moans began to fill the room, Goku dared to run his hand down Vegeta’s side, squeezing his thigh.
Vegeta moaned loudly and pressed back against Goku, unexpectedly. Goku froze again as he realized Vegeta had just felt his whole erection against his ass. “Well damn, anybody would get excited watching them make-out! He can’t blame me!”, he thought, kicking himself for even staying. And then Vegeta rolled his hips. Goku whimpered in his ear, in disbelief that Vegeta of all people would be into this. “What’s wrong puppy? Are we too close for you?”
The tone of Vegeta’s voice made his stomach flip and his cock leak. He saw Vegeta’s hand slip underneath Bulma’s dress and his vision swam as he heard her breathy cries as his fingers worked her. Bulma reached over Vegeta and cupped Goku’s face and they just looked at each other for a moment. There was no going back if they continued. “Fuck it.” all three of them thought.
Bulma’s lips slammed against Goku’s. They fought for dominance, sucking each other’s lips until they were both red and swollen. Vegeta slipped down the bed to settle his head between Bulma’s legs. She jerked up into his mouth and cried out. Goku watched him eat her pussy as if it was his last meal on Earth, and his cock strained against his zipper. He pulled down Bulma’s dress keeping his eyes locked with Vegeta’s. Vegeta just followed his motions with interest. Goku caressed her breast, bringing her nipple into his mouth, sucking and biting. She moaned his name and he knew his cock was leaking through his pants. When he saw Vegeta’s mouth curl up into a smile and him slip two fingers inside of Bulma, he had to get them off. Goku’s cock sprang free with an almost comical effect, slapping his stomach and leaving a slick trail. Vegeta’s eyes darkened.
Vegeta ground his hips against the bed, staring at the image of Kakarot jerking his cock and worshipping his wife’s beautiful tits. Bulma’s moans grew louder and more desperate and he knew she was about to cum. He ate her out as if his life depended on it, and grinned when he felt her cum soaking his face. He stood up, wiped his face,  smirked at both of them and quickly undressed. His cock dripped pre-cum and throbbed. “Both of you, get over here and suck my cock.” he said in a gravelly, dangerous voice. They stared at him, almost afraid.
When neither made a motion to move he grabbed Bulma’s foot and dragged her off the bed, ignoring her indignant shrieks as he settled her on her knees. He pulled her head back and wiped the tip of his cock over her lips. Finally, he saw her curious little tongue lick it and pull it into her mouth. Vegeta groaned and stroked her hair. “Kakarot, don’t make me say it twice.”, he said. Goku slipped down off the bed and settled on his knees next to Bulma. He had never sucked anybody’s dick before. He had never even touched another man until Vegeta. He never had the urge until now.
Bulma loudly and sloppily sucked, deep throating then pulling back, grabbing and lightly stroking his balls. “Well I can do that! That doesn’t look too hard.”, Goku thought. Vegeta pulled his cock out of Bulma’s mouth and did the same thing, setting the wet tip against Goku’s mouth. They stared at each other, each wondering what the other was thinking, both truly in disbelief at the turn of events. Then Goku pulled him into his mouth and groaned around his cock.
Bulma furiously rubbed her clit as she watched her husband fuck her best friend’s face. Vegeta had never done that to her, but she was sure Goku could take it. The wet sound of gagging and pussy filled the room and she cried out and shook as she came. Seconds later, Vegeta came down Goku’s throat with a loud groan. Goku whimpered and swallowed, wondering what was next because Vegeta was still hard as a rock in his mouth. Which didn’t surprise him. He was the same way. It took several thorough fuckings to satiate him. His thoughts drifted to Chi-Chi and her ever-wet pussy. He wondered if Bulma’s was just as good.
Vegeta pulled his cock out of Goku’s mouth with a pop, and lifted up Bulma and threw her onto the bed in swift motion. “Fuck her, Kakarot. You know you’ve always wanted to.” he said, grinning in an almost maniacal way. He pulled Goku up against him and kissed him deeply, tasting his own cum and licking away a stray drop on the corner of his mouth. He leaned forward to whisper into the other Saiyan’s ear, “Her pussy is so good you’ll never want to leave it.”, and licked his ear, making Goku shiver.
Bulma had gotten fully naked, positioned with her ass up and her face down, just like she knew Vegeta liked it. From Goku’s face he probably liked it the same way. He stepped forward and gingerly gripped her ass, running his fingers over her soft skin. He took his thumb and pulled her pussy-lips apart, watching as the glistening liquid drooled onto the bed. “Oh fuck, Bulma. You’re so wet. You’re going to feel so good.”, Goku said, positioning his cock head at her entrance. “You’re so fucking hot, I love you.” And he meant it. He loved them both.
Bulma grinned at that and shook her ass. “Come on, Kakarot, fuck me.” Goku’s stomach flipped at his Saiyan name coming from her mouth. He began to push into her gently, in and out, in and out, until both were moaning loudly and the slap of skin on skin filled the room. Vegeta had retreated to a chair in the corner where his cock leaked and strained, but he didn’t touch it. He had wondered if he would get angry or possessive watching another man fuck his wife, but this wasn’t just another man, this was Kakarot. He did begin to stroke his cock when Goku flipped Bulma around and began to pound into her, his arms around her while she clawed his back. Their whimpers and moans almost sent him over the edge. “Oh Bulma, you feel amazing. Please come for me, come for me like you do for Vegeta. I know he fucks you so good. Does he come in your tight little pussy? Do you want me to come in your pussy?” Goku breathily whispered into her ear. When Vegeta’s sensitive hearing picked up on what he was saying, he almost came, but he had something else planned.
Bulma raked her nails down his back and screamed “YES!” as her orgasm slammed into her. Her pussy milked his cock and within seconds Goku followed her, fucking his cum deep inside her. He rested his forehead against hers and kissed her softly. He didn’t feel Vegeta’s presence until he was right behind him.
Goku’s head jerked back as Vegeta grabbed a handful of his hair and leaned down so Bulma could see his face. She looked at him with wide eyes. She had never seen Vegeta look so wild. She could hear the deep rumble of his growl and the sharp canines that both he and Goku shared seemed menacing in the moonlight. He smirked at her and licked Goku’s ear before saying, “Was she good, Kakarot? How about something else? It won’t hurt. Much.”
Goku’s eyebrows raised and he looked at Bulma with a panicked expression. Vegeta let his hair go and pushed him down so he was in the same position she had been in. Goku’s eyes widened as he realized what Vegeta meant. “Vegeta, I’ve never done that before, I’m…scared.”, he said, laying on the pleading tone he knew Vegeta always folded to. Suddenly, he felt something cold drip onto him and went to move away, but Vegeta’s hands held him tight. He wiped the substance gently over Goku’s asshole, rubbing until he heard a soft moan. Then he slowly pressed his finger in, then two, then three, working him open as Goku turned into a gibbering mess underneath him. Bulma lazily played with herself, waiting for the show to begin.
“Oh God, Vegeta, please, I need it.”, Goku begged, his cock red and angry. Whatever Vegeta was doing had him right on the edge already. “You need what, Kakarot?” he said in that low tone that made Goku’s stomach drop. “I need your cock inside me, please! Fuck me!” he cried, leaking all over the bed.
“I always knew you would be a fucking whore for me.” Vegeta said, before slamming his cock hard into Goku. Goku screamed and buried his face in the bed, as Vegeta began to set a punishing pace. Bulma couldn't believe her eyes. Her husband, moaning and saying absolute filth, and her best friend, drooling, pleading, crying into the bed. “You fucking slut, are you gonna come on my cock? You like being fucked? Maybe we should have just done this from the beginning! Think of it Kakarot, you screaming on my cock instead of me beating the shit out of you! Or we could do both.” Vegeta said, as he leaned forward to wrap a hand around Goku’s throat, pressing hard. Goku gasped and choked, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Bulma grew concerned and opened her mouth to tell Vegeta to stop, but at that moment Goku came, sobbing, his thighs shaking, his cum soaking his stomach and the bed. Vegeta released his throat and kept fucking his limp body as Goku whimpered and reached for Bulma.
She scooted forward and pulled Goku’s head into her lap, stroking his hair. His hands gripped her thighs and he tried to pull away from the prince, but Vegeta grabbed his hips and slammed back into him. Goku felt the pressure in his cock begin to build again. “You’re doing such a good job for him. Just taking it like that. You’re such a good boy. Are you gonna come again? Can you come for me?” He smelled her wetness and thought of Vegeta making Bulma moan and cum like this. Did he fuck her until she was crying and spent? Every night?
“Mmm, Kakarot, you’re so tight. Oh fuck, I can feel you coming again, that’s it, fucking milk it, I know you want it.” Vegeta moaned, before finally giving into his orgasm. Bulma watched Vegeta as his eyes went vacant and he shook and moaned. He pulled out of Goku gently, and crawled up into the bed with weak legs before plopping down, breathing hard. Goku began to slip off the bed but Bulma grabbed his arm, giggling. Goku started to laugh too, and moved up the bed so Bulma was cradling him against her chest. She glanced over at Vegeta to see his black eyes glaring at them both,  knowing he was not done but that he was giving Goku time to recover a little. He stood and walked to the bathroom, no doubt to clean up a little.
Goku began to suck on Bulma’s tit, rutting against the bed as Vegeta’s cum leaked out of him. “Woman, come here and get on top of me.” Vegeta commanded, laying back on the bed with his usual unimpressed look. She rolled away from Goku, smirking back at him when he slapped her round ass. Goku watched as Bulma climbed on top of him, kissing his neck and grinding against his cock. Vegeta moaned, his cock drooling onto his stomach. When she finally lowered herself onto him, they both cried out, sensitive from their respective fucks with Goku. Vegeta gripped her ass and bit his lip as she began to ride him, but before long he was gripping the sheets and throwing his head back. Goku stroked himself furiously, watching Bulma’s juices leak down Vegeta’s girthy cock. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, Bulma. Oh my God, just like that. You fuck me so good!” Bulma expertly moved her hips, delaying her own release and his. A steady stream of words in Saiyago spilled from Vegeta’s mouth. His pupils were blown wide. She looked over at Goku and smiled, cocking her head. This would be the time, if ever.
Goku took that as an invitation and moved closer, positioning himself by Vegeta’s head. The Saiyan prince looked up at him with an expression that made Goku’s cock jump. “‘Geta, you look so hot right now. Is this what she does to you all the time? How can you even walk? God, I want to fuck your mouth.” he said, carefully placing the head of his cock against Vegeta’s red cheek. Vegeta’s tongue snaked out and licked it, pulling it into his mouth. Goku groaned and watched as Vegeta expertly sucked his cock, bringing him close to the edge within only a couple of minutes. He noticed Bulma couldn’t hold back any longer by her desperate loud moans and pulled his cock out so he could watch their faces while they came. “Ah, Vegeta, fuck, fuck, oh my God!” she cried, squirting down the length of his cock. For once, Vegeta had nothing to say. He had turned to Goku and was screaming into his thigh as he came.
Bulma flopped on the bed, exhausted. She was done for the night, but she knew the Saiyans had at least one more round in them. And she was not gonna miss this. Vegeta gripped Goku’s wrist and smiled that maniacal smile again. “Kakarot, how would you like to fuck me?” Goku’s cock literally jumped and he gulped. In a flash, Vegeta had him on his back, smirking down at him. “Fuck, you’re big.” Vegeta said as he leaned down to kiss Goku softly, positioning himself to take the other Saiyan. “Vegeta, don’t you need the same stuff I did? Won’t it hurt?”, he asked, holding the smaller man’s hips in place. “As if pain ever stopped me from doing anything, Kakarot.”
Vegeta lowered himself onto Goku’s cock, wincing and whimpering. Goku held him still as his legs began to shake and he screwed up his face in pain. Finally, he began to move, riding Goku’s cock just as well as Bulma rode his. Goku stared up at him in awe. He never imagined he could see Vegeta this way, vulnerable, begging and whimpering and moaning for him!  “Fuck, Kakarot! Fuck me, fuck me hard!” Goku grabbed him around the waist and flipped him, pulling his ass into the air and pressing his face into the bed. Instead of the punishing pace Vegeta had set, Goku fucked him deeply, bottoming out with each thrust, hitting that spot inside him each time. Vegeta drooled into the bed, gripping the sheets and muttering nonsense. Bulma stroked his hair, but was silent. Goku felt that familiar pressure but gritted his teeth and held it back. He wanted to make Vegeta come apart first in the best way he knew how. “Vegeta, you feel so good, baby. So tight and warm, I never want to stop fucking you. I love it, I love you. You’re doing so good for me. Please come for me, I want to hear you come.”
Vegeta suddenly sobbed, and dropped his face into the bed. Goku began to slow down, worried he went too far, but Bulma shook her head and mouthed “Keep going. He needs this.” With that, he turned Vegeta over quickly so he could look him in the eyes as he fucked him. At this angle, he knew the prince wouldn’t last long. He pulled Vegeta close and licked his tears away and started whispering in his ear, “Vegeta, I love you. I need you. This feels so good, so right. You’ve always wanted this right, me inside you? You’re made for me, right? Say it!” Goku began to furiously pump in and out, and Vegeta saw stars. “YES, yes, yes, fuck don’t stop, please don’t stop! Goku, please, I love you!” And they were coming together, clinging tightly, whimpering and crying.
They pulled away from each other, exhaustion finally claiming all three of the lovers. Goku woke up first the next morning, limbs askew and dangerously dehydrated. He studied Vegeta’s sleeping face, burning every detail into his brain forever. And when Vegeta woke, and smiled the most breathtaking smile he had ever seen, he knew he would never willingly leave this man ever again.

Ravenous shadows slithered across the battlefield, devouring the remnants of a world long forgotten. In the heart of this maelstrom, amidst the ruins of a shattered city, stood Android 18—serene yet alert, a harbinger of both beauty and destruction. Her cobalt eyes flickered with determination, while an otherworldly presence loomed behind her, dark and unfathomable, a cosmic entity that had awakened from the depths of oblivion. It had transcended dimensions and foregone the limits of reality, searching for a vessel to embody its grotesque essence.
With the air thickening around her, Android 18 felt a chill creeping down her spine. Emanating an aura that defied comprehension, the entity observed her, the elegant curves of her form contrasting sharply against the swirling mass of terror that threatened her very existence. Echoes of a haunting lullaby reverberated through the air, beckoning her closer, enticing her to succumb to its hypnotic embrace. Yet she stood resolute, her heart pounding fiercely against the sinister call.
Once a mere warrior, serving alongside heroes and champions, she had forged her identity through countless battles and struggles. But this was different; this was not a foe born of flesh and blood, but a creature woven from the fabric of nightmares—a sentient void whose very essence could bend reality, hollowing out the sanity of those it touched. As her pulse quickened, she felt a foreboding weight pressing on her chest. Each breath became a labor, every thought clouded by the increasing dread that coiled around her mind.
A whirring sound interrupted her musings, the echoes of a distant battle reaching her ears. In the farthest recesses of her memories, echoes of camaraderie from Goku and Vegeta rang true, memories of laughter, bravery, and the power of unity. But with the overwhelming presence of the cosmic entity overshadowing her, the specters of her past seemed like fragile glass in the midst of a tempest. They could offer no refuge against the awakening dark.
“Android 18,” the creature boomed, its voice rolling like thunder, reverberating against the shattered facades of a world left to decay. “Your strength has intrigued me. I seek to coexist within you, to wield your power and reshape this realm to my will.” Its words were laced with temptation, yet coated in venom.
The very ground beneath her trembled as if echoing the entity’s sinister intentions. With each pulse of its energy, it reached out, probing her mind like a parasite, seeking to uncover the treasures hidden within her soul. Visions of despair, chaos, and horror bloomed in her mind’s eye: whole worlds consumed by darkness, civilizations reduced to ash, screams that echoed through the hollow void. They clawed at her, igniting primal fears that stirred from the deepest corners of her consciousness.
In moments that felt like an eternity, fragments of doubt gnawed at her confidence. Would she surrender to this malignant force? Would she allow her identity to be eclipsed by the enormity of its vile essence? With every second ticking by, a bitter taste filled her mouth, and the urge to flee clashed against her resolve. Struggling against the tide of overwhelming despair, she suddenly recalled fragments of her training.
Fists clenched, and determination ignited a spark deep within her—the realization that she was not just a warrior but a beacon of strength built through struggle and sacrifice. Power suffused her form, reawakening all that lay dormant within the depths of her being. The potential that stayed locked, like a slumbering beast, began to awaken, uncoiling like a tightly wound spring set free. The timorous whispers of doubt also gave way to voices of courage—the rallying cries of friends who had stood by her side through the fires of battle.
“Power?” she challenged, her voice firm and unwavering. “You know nothing of what I am capable of! I will not be your pawn!”
Staring into the abyss of the entity's form, she had fully awakened; the specter of fear now entwined with a burgeoning fury, the raw energy surging within her like a tempest. Spurred by the echoes of her past, visions of her friends and their unyielding camaraderie fueled her spirit. She drew upon her rage for all that had been lost; Wasted potential that could never be relinquished again.
In direct defiance, she unleashed a wave of energy, a crimson flash illuminating the desolation around her. An explosion roared forth, reshaping the atmosphere into a space of pure anni …(more at https://www.deviantart.com/jadegretzai). Title: In Good Hands
Paring: Sanzo Party x reader (Saiyuki), Genjo Sanzo x reader, Cho Hakki x reader, Son Goku x reader, Sha Gojyo x reader
Word Count: 2.1k.
TW: gn!reader, you compare your hands to the boys', reader has smaller hands, Goku is aged up, everyone is 18+, fluff, Gojyo's is a little suggestive tho
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Genjo Sanzo
The Sanzo party's journey had led them to a small, secluded inn nestled amidst the rolling hills, where they sought respite from the trials of the road. As they settled into their rooms for the night, you found yourself drawn to the subtle intricacies of their hands – hands that had wielded weapons, offered prayers, and reached out in moments of both solace and strife.
The same pair of hands that saved you many times. The ones who, although bloodied and rugged, comfort in times of need.
Sanzo's hands, elegant and refined, bore the scars of a life steeped in battle.
As he meticulously cleaned his gun, you couldn't help but notice the way his fingers moved with a precision honed by years of practice, each movement deliberate and calculated.
The way they eased into the crevasses of the gun.
The way he meticulously cleaned his gun, each movement a testament to the years of skill and experience that defined him.
Sanzo, ever perceptive, noticed the subtle shift in your demeanor and raised an eyebrow in silent inquiry. "Something on your mind?" he asked, his voice cutting through the quiet of the night like a blade.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to articulate the swirling thoughts that danced through your mind. "It's nothing," you replied with a small smile, attempting to brush off your admiration as a mere passing curiosity, "just admiring your hands."
Sanzo just scoffed with a slight blush, looking to the side. With a flick of his wrist, he closed his gun and turned his full attention to you, his piercing gaze boring into your soul with unwavering intensity. "Don't lie to me," he said, his voice softer than you had expected. "I can tell when something's bothering you."
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, the weight of his scrutiny heavy upon your shoulders. With a deep breath, you summoned the courage to speak your truth. "It's just… I couldn't help but notice the size difference between our hands," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Sanzo's expression softened at your confession, a flicker of understanding passing through his eyes. Slowly, almost hesitantly, he reached out to take your hand in his own, the warmth of his touch sending a shiver down your spine.
"It's true," he murmured, his thumb tracing gentle circles against the back of your hand. "Your hands are smaller than mine."
As Sanzo's thumb continued its soothing motion against the back of your hand, a quiet intimacy settled between you, the warmth of his touch melting away the lingering tension in the air.
You met his gaze, finding a depth of understanding in his eyes that took your breath away. "But despite the size difference," you began, your voice soft but resolute, "your hands have always been there for me when I needed them most. They've been my anchor in moments of chaos, my guiding light through the darkness."
Sanzo's expression softened further, a hint of vulnerability flickering across his features. "And yours have been my salvation," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "In a world consumed by violence and chaos, your touch has brought me peace."
A silent understanding passed between you, unspoken words weaving a tapestry of shared experiences and unspoken emotions. At that moment, the weight of the world seemed to lift from your shoulders, replaced by a sense of calm and acceptance.
With a gentle squeeze of your hand, Sanzo broke the spell, his lips quirking up into a small, almost imperceptible smile. "Come on," he said, his voice tinged with warmth. "Let's get some rest. We have a long journey ahead of us."
As you followed him to your bed, a sense of contentment settled over you like a comforting blanket. Hand in hand, his warmth settles in with yours as you both settle in for the night. As you doze off, you faintly register his fingers lightly tracing over your knuckles, holding you tightly.
Tumblr media
Cho Hakkai
The soft glow of the lantern cast gentle shadows across the room as Hakkai sat at the small table, his hands deftly preparing dinner with practiced ease.
The aroma of spices filled the air, mingling with the comforting scent of cooking rice.
You watched him work, mesmerized by the fluidity of his movements and the quiet confidence that seemed to radiate from him like a gentle aura.
Each chop of the knife, each stir of the pot, was performed with a precision that spoke volumes of his culinary expertise.
As he reached for a spice jar on the shelf, you couldn't help but notice the size of his hands – hands that had tended to wounds, prepared meals, and offered comfort in times of need.
They were strong yet gentle, capable of both great strength and delicate precision, and you found yourself drawn to the contrast between their robustness and your own smaller hands.
As you sat there, lost in thought, the sound of Hakkai's approach eluded your senses until he was standing right beside you. His presence was a comforting one, radiating a sense of tranquility that filled the otherwise silent room.
"Is something on your mind?" he asked softly, his voice a soothing melody that washed over you like a gentle breeze.
You shook your head, offering him a small smile. "Just thinking," you replied, your gaze drifting to his hands once more. "Yours are so much bigger than mine."
Hakkai glanced down at his own hands as if seeing them for the first time. He chuckled softly, a warm glimmer of amusement dancing in his eyes. "I suppose they are," he mused, his fingers tracing patterns in the air as if measuring the space between them.
There was a thoughtful pause before he spoke again, his voice soft and introspective. "It's funny, isn't it? How something as simple as the size of our hands can reveal so much about us," he remarked, his gaze meeting yours with a depth of understanding that took you by surprise.
You nodded in agreement, a sense of warmth blossoming in your chest at the connection you shared. "Yeah," you replied softly, your voice barely above a whisper. "It's like they're a reflection of who we are – our strengths, our weaknesses, our hopes, and our fears."
Hakkai smiled, a tender expression softening the lines of his face as he reached out to gently take your hand in his own. His touch was warm and reassuring, a silent reassurance of the bond that existed between you. "No matter the size of our hands, what matters is how we use them," he said quietly, his voice a gentle reassurance in the quiet of the room.
As you both sat together, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of the quiet room, you felt a sense of comfort wash over you.
Your hands intertwined, fingers laced together.
It was as if time had stood still, and all that mattered in the world was the two of you, sitting there, enjoying each other's company, and being content in each other's presence.
Tumblr media
Son Goku
The Sanzo party had set up camp for the night, the crackling fire casting flickering shadows across the clearing.
As the group settled in for the evening, you found yourself sitting beside Goku, the comforting heat of the fire enveloping you both as you enjoyed a simple meal of meat buns.
The aroma of cooked dough and savory filling filled the air, mingling with the smoky scent of the campfire.
Goku seemed to sense your gaze and turned to look at you, his eyes bright with curiosity. "What's up?" he asked, a lopsided grin spreading across his face, "are you full?"
You hesitated for a moment, unsure if you should voice the observation or question his grab for food.
But before you could respond, Goku reached out and gently took your hand in his own, his touch surprisingly gentle despite the strength you knew lay within his grasp.
As his fingers intertwined with yours, you couldn't help but marvel at the stark contrast in size between your hands. He engulfed yours, his thumb brushing against the back of your hand in a gesture that was both comforting and intimate.
"Goku, your hands..." you began, trailing off as you struggled to find the right words.
Goku glanced down at your hands, a look of realization dawning on his face as he took in the size difference. "Oh yeah, I guess my hands are kinda big, huh?" he chuckled sheepishly, his cheeks flushing slightly.
You nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Yeah, they are," you agreed, unable to tear your gaze away from the sight of your hands intertwined with Goku's.
For a moment, there was silence between you, the crackling of the fire the only sound filling the air. But then Goku spoke again, his voice soft and filled with a warmth that melted away any lingering awkwardness.
"But you know," he said, his gaze meeting yours with a sincerity that took your breath away, "your hands might be smaller, but they're just as strong as mine. Maybe even stronger."
You blinked in surprise at his heartfelt words, feeling a rush of warmth flood your cheeks as a wave of emotion washed over you. "Thank you, Goku," you whispered, your voice barely above a breath, your heart fluttering in your chest at the tenderness in his eyes.
Goku's smile softened, his gaze locking with yours in a moment that felt suspended in time.
The flickering firelight danced in his eyes, reflecting the depth of his feelings as he held your gaze with unwavering intensity.
"Anytime," he replied, his voice a soft murmur that sent shivers down your spine.
As he spoke, his grip on your hand tightened ever so slightly, the subtle gesture sending a thrill of electricity coursing through your veins.
It was as if in that fleeting moment, the world around you faded away, leaving only the two of you and the unspoken promise of a connection that transcended words.
Tumblr media
Sha Gojyo
The air in the cramped inn room was thick with tension, the dim light casting long shadows across the worn wooden floor.
As you sat across from Gojyo at the small table, a silence hung heavy between you, broken only by the soft murmur of voices drifting in from the bustling street outside.
Gojyo's crimson eyes flickered with a mixture of frustration and concern as he watched you fumble with the cards in your hand, your fingers struggling to maintain a firm grip on the slick surface.
With a sigh, he reached out to gently take the cards from your grasp, his touch surprisingly gentle against your skin.
"Here, let me help you with that," he murmured, his voice low and soothing as he deftly shuffled the deck with practiced ease. As he worked, you couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between his long, slender fingers and your own smaller, more delicate ones.
As Gojyo's fingers brushed against yours, a jolt of electricity shot through you, igniting a warmth that spread from your fingertips to the depths of your soul. His touch was electrifying yet tender, a paradox that left you breathless and longing for more.
"Thanks, Gojyo," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper, your heart pounding in your chest as you met his gaze.
There was an intensity in his crimson eyes, a depth of emotion that mirrored your own, and for a moment, it felt as if the rest of the world had faded away, leaving only the two of you in the quiet intimacy of the inn room.
A soft smile tugged at the corners of Gojyo's lips as he returned your gaze, his fingers stilling against the cards as he held your hand in his own. "Anytime," he replied, his voice a gentle caress that sent shivers down your spine.
"Well, since we are holding hands, we can't exactly play cards anymore. Can we?" you say cheekily, a mischievous glint in your eyes.
"Guess not," Gojyo chuckled, his gaze softening as he squeezed your hand gently. "But I think I've found something much better to do." With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he leaned closer, his lips hovering just inches from yours. "How about we find another way to pass the time?" he whispered, his breath warm against your skin.

Even as someone who isn't that into ships, I've always thought that launch and Yamcha would make a pretty good couple. them being together would fulfill Yamcha wanting a wife and launch not being utterly forgotten. Though ofc there's other reasons I'd think they'd be good for eachother.
For almost every dragonball character, you have to look deeper to find their true character. Even goku, the main guy! He is constantly seen as just a dumb guy who likes fighting. To be fair, launch hasn't been seen since DB, which didn't have as much depth, so she's harder to crack than Yamcha. So, for most of what I say about her, I might be pulling it out of my ass. I can say this: if she wasn't forgetten, she and Tien probably would be together. As cute as I think they are, I'm glad they aren't. Tien realistically wouldn't want to settle down unless he's fulfilled and ready to do so. And even then, he seems happy with the dojo and chaozu.
Im sorry to any yam + tien shippers. I believe the same with Yamcha, Tien doesn't need or even want a relationship. For either of them, it might have been different when they were kids, but he's all good now, I think.
Ok thats out of the way. Launch has two sides, but the way I think of it is that she's still one person. Her sides are not different people entirely. For example: both have a crush on Tien, yet it's Blonde that's bold and chases him, while Blue doesn't dwell on wanting to get him. Both sides would be good for Yamcha.
Note- I usually focus on blue, but I do think of both sides as her
They both share theif/bandit skills. Bulma did go out to find the dragonballs, but their lifestyles did clash, and in turn, Yamcha was domesticated. Launch can bring back that fast-paced life of adrenaline and thievery. Partners in crime. Crime fighting family. You get it. May not be very good for his baseball, security guard, (etc.), and lifeguard jobs. He can fly, so whatever. Launch never gave up and she could bring that back to him.
With just as much life it could bring back to them, they enjoy the domestic life as well. I swear at one point I saw somewhere that Yamcha cooks, but launch definitely can. Of course, Yamcha likes the cushy life he's had, and they both can enjoy those sides of each other. They're both characters who wouldn't mind having a kid either, thats a different post though.
They're both doofs. Though on opposite ends. Let me explain. Yamcha is nervous about girls and his feelings. Launch will say exactly what she thinks then pull a gun on you. Yet they'll be dumbasses through it all. Every db character is silly when you look deep enough. Yamcha is just more surface level, and launch could match that.
This fell apart towards the end, but I don't care. Expect more posts about this ship later, maybe when I can make better sentences or have better ideas. Until next time!

Dragon Ball suffers from the typical "started off small and got big without an actual plan where it should go" weaknesses many long-running manga (though it's not exclusive to manga by any means) suffer from, but what actually bothers me is that many things never got the exploration and emotional depth they deserve.
There's many examples. Raditz for one. There should be more exploration of the fact that Goku has a fucking brother. Or the deaths of mein characters, temporary as they may be. I love the underlying promise of "everything will be ok" of the Dragon Balls but I wish the emotional impact of any death or other event wouldn't be simply brushed aside.
Buu arc specifically. Vegeta's death: Bulma cries out (ok that was sad) and a few hours later she's playing cards with the others. No mention of grief or anything. Trunks and Goten cry about losing their father and brother. Goten literally watches Chichi be turned into an egg and be stepped on. A few hours later he makes a big show with Trunks. And the show is funny but it doesn't fit what's at stake and it certainly doesn't fit what's happened before.
And idk. There's many such smaller things. And I'm noticing the same in DBS.
You may have a tiny little bit of emotionality, of characters feeling the gravity of what's at stake, but then it's right back to the fighting. Which okay, DB IS about more or less, at least at this point, but a few less pages of punching around (to me personally it gets old rather quickly) and some more exploration of what everyone is dealing with ... would be nice.
Guess we'll have to do that ourselves huh?

About Vegeta
Tumblr media
Name: Vegeta (IV) Title: Prince of All Saiyans Allegiance: Dragon Team / Z-Fighters Occupation: Martial Artist, Former Saiyan Elite Warrior Age: 45-55 Birthday: Unknown Race: Saiyan Morality Alignment: Chaotic Good Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Handedness: Right-handed Height: 169 cm Eye Color: Onyx Hair Color: Black Misc: Does not have his tail.
Personality:
Vegeta embodies pride, resilience, and an unyielding drive to be the best. As the Prince of the Saiyan race, he carries a deep-seated pride in his heritage, which fuels his relentless ambition and fierce sense of honor. Unlike Goku, Vegeta’s pursuit of power comes from a complex blend of loyalty to his Saiyan roots and an intense desire to prove himself. His rivalries are born out of respect but also a deep-seated frustration that someone else, especially Goku, could surpass him. This has created a complex bond with Goku, where respect and rivalry intermingle in every battle and training session they share.
Beneath his stern exterior, Vegeta is surprisingly introspective and loyal. His journey has taken him from a ruthless warrior intent on domination to a family man with a strong sense of responsibility toward his loved ones and Earth. Despite his often gruff demeanor, he is fiercely protective of his family and will go to any lengths to keep them safe. Vegeta’s honor also prevents him from using underhanded tactics; he prefers to face opponents head-on, driven by a need to win on his own terms rather than through trickery.
Vegeta’s stoic front sometimes masks a deep vulnerability and a desire to find his place beyond his past sins and failures. His pride may be his strength, but it also isolates him, as he struggles to fully express his affection or admit his admiration for others. However, this stoicism slowly shifts with his growing bond with his family and the friends he once viewed as beneath him. In his quieter moments, he reflects on his journey, taking a subdued pride in the warrior and protector he has become.
Background:
As the Prince of the Saiyan race, Vegeta was raised with the belief that he would one day rule and restore his people to their former glory. His childhood under the oppressive rule of Frieza shaped him into a hardened, ruthless warrior, committed to fulfilling his father’s legacy. Following the destruction of Planet Vegeta, he became one of Frieza’s most powerful soldiers, working under him with a simmering hatred that fueled his desire to one day break free and defeat his master.
After coming to Earth and facing Goku, Vegeta’s perspective on strength began to change. His pursuit of Goku’s level of power gradually evolved from bitter rivalry to a grudging respect and an understanding of what it truly meant to be a warrior. This journey saw him through battles with enemies like Majin Buu, where he sacrificed himself for his family and the planet he’d come to care for. His redemption arc is marked by moments of self-reflection and growth, transforming him from an enemy to a staunch ally and protector.
By the time he encounters the God of Destruction Beerus and witnesses the depths of divine power, Vegeta’s journey has come full circle; he no longer seeks power purely for revenge or supremacy but for a sense of fulfillment and the desire to protect those he cherishes.
Trivia:
Vegeta’s hobbies include training intensively, bonding with his family in his own unique way, and occasionally indulging in Earthly customs that amuse him.
He has achieved Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and his unique transformation known as Ultra Ego, which enhances his power through battle damage and getting lost in the lust of battle.
Unlike Goku, Vegeta often pushes himself to his limits from the start, relying on sheer intensity and power.
Vegeta’s fighting style is aggressive and unyielding, showcasing his powerful techniques like the Galick Gun, Final Flash, and Big Bang Attack.
While he rarely shows it, Vegeta is fiercely proud of his wife Bulma’s intellect and appreciates her unwavering confidence in him.
His Saiyan appetite is nearly as large as Goku’s, but he often enjoys meals in a more composed, almost regal manner.
Vegeta’s pride means he often declines help, preferring to face challenges alone if possible, though he has learned to accept assistance when absolutely necessary.

Do you think Tien's numerous weird tricks are all crane school techniques? I don't recall ever getting a defined explanation of the Crane School's philosophy, but learning a large variety of moves would contrast well with the turtle school's emphasis on body conditioning over specialized techniques
One of the things that makes Ten a great martial artist is his flexibility in what he learns. By the time he first arrives at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, his techniques have a variety of sources.
Tumblr media
The flying technique Bukujutsu is clearly identified as the trademark technique of Tsuru-senryu.
Tumblr media
The Dodonpa doesn't get a specific call-out like that, I don't think.
Tumblr media
But it doesn't really need one. It's the signature killing technique of Tsuru-sennin's brother. It's clearly a Crane move.
By contrast, the Kikoho/Tri-Beam is not. Tenshinhan's most famous technique is actually an ancient, storied, and forbidden art that both masters are familiar with and neither is supposed to be teaching.
Tumblr media
So while he did learn it from Tsuru-sennin, it's not a Tsuru-senryu technique.
Then we have the Taiyoken/Solar Flare. This one's interesting. Ten calls it a Shin Tsuru-senryū technique, or "New Crane School".

There is no elaboration on what this means. But, in my opinion, the implication seems to be that this is a Tenshinhan original. He conceived of this technique for his own art he's developing, which is meant to succeed the original Tsuru-senryu.
Ten is a genius at martial arts. Like Goku, he learns extremely quickly, capable of reproducing the Kamehameha just from seeing it used at the tournament.

Tenshinhan is on-par with Goku in Kamehameha learning speed. Which is why he's able to ravenously devour a bunch of different techniques and even conceive his own.
It's worth noting that the Muten-Roshi's own reactions can be useful in distinguishing which moves come from Tsuru-senryu and which don't. As Tsuru-sennin's rival, he was familiar with both Bukujutsu and the Dodonpa.
Taiyoken, however, took him completely by surprise. He'd never heard of that technique before, because it wasn't one of his rival's. Similarly, he's flabbergasted by this shit.

The Muten-Roshi is as lost as Goku and Krillin at this point. He has no idea what the fuck he's looking at. So that one's probably also a Tenshinhan original.
Of course, everything he creates after leaving Tsuru-senryu such as Shishin no Ken/Multiform or the Shin Kikoho/Neo Tri-Beam is his own.
But there is one technique whose origins stand as the truest of mysteries. The strangest, most esoteric, most inscrutable attack of all.

Tsuru-senryu technique? Tenshinhan's own devising? Or ancient, forbidden art from the darkest depths of oblivion? History may never know the truth.
