I would love it if this this is how Daeron is introduced in House of the Dragon.

Daeron: Hello family, I am home after spending many years in Oldtown.

*Alicent and Otto are chewing out Aemond over starting a war by chasing down and killing his nephew on Vhagar, a very drunk Aegon is on the Iron Throne while Criston is now wearing the Hand of the King pin, the gold cloaks are already secretly plotting to turn against the Hightowers when Daemon arrives at King’s Landing, only Helaena and her children are the only ones acting like they usually do*

Daeron: What happened while I was gone? Also where is father?

Tyrion has had enough and decides to confess to one crime, the crime of being a dwarf.

This one is very similar to Tyrion shouting at a liar. I wanted to make this one as different as possible. I did this by focusing on the gold cloaks and the spectators.

I think this one turned out much better.

Random thought:

The gold cloaks of the city watch are because Daemon is an absolute simp for Rhaenyra and her golden dragon while also caring about the small folk.

Daemon: This city is an absolute cesspool of crime and violence and I am above it as a Targaryen prince.

Also Daemon: I’m forming the city watch my way so as to assure my beloved niece’s safety and will call them the gold cloaks in honor of her.

Hello, I was hoping you could help me concerning a conversation between Cersei Lannister and Mace Tyrell in Cersei II, AFFC:

“The governance of the realm must come first, Lord Tywin often said. And I am pleased to bring Your Grace good tidings in that regard. My uncle Garth has agreed to serve as master of coin, as your lord father wished. He is making his way to Oldtown to take ship. His sons will accompany him. Lord Tywin mentioned something about finding places for the two of them as well. Perhaps in the City Watch."

The queen's smile had frozen so hard she feared her teeth might crack. Garth the Gross on the small council and his two bastards in the gold cloaks . . . do the Tyrells think I will just serve the realm up to them on a gilded platter? The arrogance of it took her breath away.”

So, I understand not wanting another Tyrell on the Small Council and that Cersei thinking things through logically isn’t exactly the order of the day, but is her vehement reaction to Garth Tyrell’s bastard sons being given gold cloaks at all reasonable? This isn’t Loras receiving a white cloak here - a position in the City Watch is a remarkably ordinary post for two acknowledged noble bastard sons, to the extent that shouldn’t it almost be beneath Cersei’s notice?

I imagine it has something to do with this:

A force of two thousand (or thereabouts) armed men with a potentially flexible loyalty. Gambling on their support through Littlefinger was the final domino piece for Ned's failed coup. Who's to say a City Watch with Tyrell men influencing or perhaps bribing those serving with them, perhaps only passing along pertinent information, would not one day make a difference?

Tywin cared who would lead the far away Night's Watch, so the composition of the City Watch that directly surrounds them is certainly a concern for Cersei.

i think there might be something to be said about how arguably the three men who started the dance are all second sons. doomed to live in your older brother’s shadow forever so you devote yourself to him and make your own name through violence

arya was the only team stark player who did the math in kings landing. ned becomes so blinded by duty and mercy that he fails to truly appreciate this very simple truth that arya can very easily recognize: they are outnumbered. 

it also tracks with arya taking note of numbers and having a good head for mathematics in general. from counting flowers to roofs and guards, prisoners, hearths and weirwood stumps, ect.

when the northern prisoners are brought to harrenhal arya sees that they equal, if not outnumber, the men holding the castle. the conditions were ripe for harrenhal to be taken and (like in king’s landing) thats exactly what happened. the fact that arya is already paying attention to this kind of stuff at 9/10 years old is pretty significant and it really shows her leadership potential.
