The Five had brought back many mutants from the dead and usually the resurrections involves in celebrations. However, not all resurrected mutants liked the return to the land of living. One such resurrected mutant was Jeffrey Garrett, the mutant boy who originally haunted the X-Mansion as a restless spirit. Prodigy visits The Five who told him that the resurrected Jeffrey had already teleported before anyone could visit him. Prodigy figures that Jeffrey Garrett was too bewildered and disoriented about the new changes so he goes off to look for him. Prodigy finds Jeffrey at the cliff of the waterfall to talk to him.
This short story of Prodigy and the X-Kids take place before the fateful Hellfire Gala attack.

Tumblr media
Kitty are you going for emo vampire vibes? I like it tho.
Tumblr media
We already knew this. And I think it's amazing. Simple and not so unique but fits great.
Tumblr media
Charles detected costume invalid. Okay it's not ugly and nice I guess.
Tumblr media

Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Helmet is ugly. And it's very normal. I like it but nothing special.

Top five/ten favorite "weird" superpowers
My first question, thank you random person! (Why lie, I asked some friends to help me get this page started by asking stuff but thanks Anonymous!)
This is a good one. I spent a bit thinking about this, mostly what would count as a "weird" superpower. And even after I figured that out, I was torn on how specific or vague to be on power selection (e.g. do "fire manipulation" and "water manipulation" count as different powers or do they both just fall under "element manipulation"?) and ended up going for a middle ground.
To use both the top 5/10 format I basically split it up into two groups of answers to give both serious and funny thoughts: Non-classic (super strength, speed, flight, heat vision etc.) powers that aren't usually portrayed as cool as they could be, and outright silly/funny powers that are just entertaining to see. Both lists are in no particular order.
Top 5 Actually Cool Weird Superpowers
Shapeshifting (of the Kamala Khan variety): More than the Mystique/Skrull kind (where the skill is limited to copying bodies), this is a type of shapeshifting thats just really fun to see. Her turning into a couch is beloved for a reason. Seeing a character turn into other people, objects, or some combination of the two is just cool. Especially if its to solve problems or situations beyond "sneaking in somewhere".
Sonic vibration (Quake, Shocker, Black Canary etc.): One of those powers that can just be way cooler. Usually it just amounts to characters shooting sound circles out of their bodies and not much else. But under the hands of writers who take the trouble to learn about the science of how vibrations work and how it can change things, it can be used creatively in a lot of different situations & stories.
Self duplication (Multiple Man type): Another power of the above variety. Can be way more fun and compelling to read when the clones are used for creative solutions to problems, especially if theres a fun twist involved like the duplicates eventually start decaying, develop their own consciousness or the like.
Power mimicking (Super Skrull, Rogue, Amazo etc.): Usually bad guys get these powers to mirror a particular hero, but its cool when good guys get this. As the above, its fun when they have a limitation like the copied power has limited uses, is hard to handle etc. Or combining multiple powers they've taken from others in unique ways.
Magic stuff (Dr. Strange, Magik, Zatanna): Admittedly this is more vague than the others, but its shocking how often magic characters in superhero stories aren't used as creatively as they could be. I realize the double-edged sword that comes with making them too OP, but a lot of writers seem to dance around and almost not take advantage of the fact that an ill-defined "magic" character can do ANYTHING. All you need is a quick explanation like "more OP spells can't be used as often" and you're golden. Have them summon portals, turn into ghosts, make dogs talk, possess dead bodies, etc. There's a reason people don't like it when MCU Strange repeatedly uses the orange sparkly stuff/mirror dimension/astral projection stuff but go wild for when he does the weird kooky shit like in IW and MoM. Go weird with it.
Tumblr media
Now for the funny ones.
Top 5 Silly/Entertaining Weird Superpowers
Talking to animals: This can be used in cool/serious ways like Aquaman commanding sharks and what not, but there's something inherently comedic about communicating with non-verbal species thats just great. Even moreso when its to give the animals personality and history as any human character, like Squirrel Girl and Tippy Toe.
Eat anything: What more is there to say. This is hilarious. Imagine you're fighting a bad guy and you just start eating the wires to their evil world ending machine without detriment to your stomach. This would supposedly also apply to regular food so if you've got week-old milk in the fridge you forgot to throw out, you're good.
Sentient places: There's an argument to be made that this is more a type of character than a superpower, but its still funny. A talking building/street/city/island is goofy in the best way, especially when they communicate by closing doors and stuff like that.
4th wall breaking: Much like magic usage, this runs the risk of being too nebulously-defined and ending up too OP (I personally think its tricky to make logically sound stories where characters straight up make the writers rewrite the ending, as it opens up these weird lore questions like "Why don't they just do that every time") but when its used well, it can be really funny as well as exciting, especially when making characters jump through scenes/pages or play with the elements of whatever medium they're occupying.
But by far, the best possible answer to this question as a whole, and that perhaps might be impossible to top: Throwing gold balls at people.
I have no notes. This is the best weird superpower. More superheroes should go around throwing colored shapes around. All hail Fabio Medina.

Exodus and Hope Summers are in the desert where they lead the lost mutants as they fend off the evil clones and help the mutants to grow food and surviving.
Fabio Medina is in the desert where he is attacked by a bunch of Bishop clones. Just as Exodus picks Fabio up, a Wolverine clone appears and attacks them, but Hope Summers saves them. Hope points out that these Wolverine clones attack her the same way he did in AvX, and Bishop is attacking her again. It's her nightmares come to life. In a data page written by Destiny, it's revealed that the Krakoan mutants have worked together to form a new society here, using their powers to do the hard work of growing food, maintaining water supplies, and defending the perimeter. Exodus and Hope have looked for an escape but the desert goes on and on. Mother Righteous has helped find all of the members of the Five - Fabio Medina was the last. There is a very cult-looking resurrection ritual, as the Five work and Mother Righteous dances to contact the Waiting Room. It works. Hope Summers thanks Mother Righteous. Meanwhile, Destiny doesn't trust Mother Righteous so she tries to warn Exodus and Hope, but they are skeptical as Destiny never lets them read her mind to see what she knows from her visions. They agree that whenever Hope and Exodus are away, Destiny will keep watch on Mother Righteous.Mother Righteous sends Hope and Exodus to find someone. It's Jean who is chained up and in her modern costume. She's muttering her exact lines from the end of issue 2 of Jean Grey mini-series. Apocalypse appears and attacks Exodus while Hope tries to read Jean's mind. However, it gets more and more cryptic after Hope gets a psychic backlash from the delirious Jean.
Looks like there's a lot of mystery going on for the mutants in the desert such as the random appearance of Apocalypse, the evil clones and Jean Grey seemingly alive.

Top Superheroes that should be made canonically trans:
Ghost Spider: we all saw Spider-Verse. The trans flag in her room? The coming out as a superhero/regular coming out parallel? The entire fucking screen bleeding blue, pink, and white when she's telling her dad how people will never see who she really is? Come on now
Egg: his name is Egg

Meet the Chemiballs; the Noble Noble Gases
The noble gases were all (mostly) discovered by a Scottish man named Sir William Ramsay (Though, back in his day, it was more common to call them “rare gases”). He made the convention of ending all their names with -on, so you always know when something is a noble gas. (Unless it’s helium which is a noble gas but follows the metal naming convention, [or iron which ends in -on but is a metal. {Also, scientists seem to really like giving things -on names, like prion, codon, electron, etc. I will admit, it does sound cool. }]) So it’s not a perfect system.
The name “noble gasses” is a bit of an early 1900s joke. See, the noble gasses are too lazy to do anything and don’t like bonding with lesser peasant elements. The nobility is also lazy and don’t like associating with peasants. Of course, we live in an enlightened post-WWI world and no longer recognize barbaric concepts such as hieratical rule and rigid class structures. Also, the Queen is dead. But this is basically the equivalent of naming them “trust fund gasses”. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
